Fair. Mediocre. Average. Three stars instead of two because i see a hint of effort by the kitchen in terms of creativity. That effort is reflected in a casually priced menu… Would not go back except for maybe a cocktail. Service? Let’s just call it laid back. Or friendly yet relaxed. Or charmingly inattentive. Like that boyfriend or girlfriend who was always great to have around… when they were around.

dishes are JUST fine, but they charge me more than 20 percent tip automaticly without any notice and then suggest extra tips on the receipt. service was pretty soso, but when I ask about why automaticly 20 percent, he said: this is pretty normal. DOESTHETIPRELATEDTOTHE service ITSELF?!

I give this place credit for trying to reimagine the typical hotel restaurant(at least menu, if not décor-wise). I also was impressed by the friendly service and cocktails. However, I found the food to be underwhelming and overpriced. After a lengthy wait(30 minutes for food, although I was told it was because certain dish components were being made fresh), I was disappointed by some over-cooked and under-seasoned chicken(albeit with some very good collards). I gave 3 stars instead of 2 mainly because of the very nice bartenders and good(although also expensive) drinks, and out of the hope that maybe I just visited late on an off-night. However, I’d be hard-pressed to return here in the near future if I have any other options.

I will start telling that this restaurant is overrated. Food is nothing special. Don’t ever order the lobster bisque. Too salty and they serve it cold. I ordered a cheese sandwich it was ok.

Staying at the hotel for a convention. Didn’t feel like exploring so tried this place. I was expecting the usual high priced and elaborately named mediocre hotel food. Ordered the crab cakes and the truffle Mac and cheese. I was impressed both dishes more than lived up to the description on the menu. Prices are high but the food is great.

Tater party of 1. Not a bad experience and certainly not the worst hotel-based restaurant I’ve dined at. Sat in the uncrowded bar area and had some nice conversations with some other hotel guests. Service was friendly but inattentive at times even though it didn’t seem busy. At my servers insistence that this Cali girl needed to try some«real southern food», I started with the fried green tomatoes. While the stacked presentation was beautiful and the tomatoes were wonderfully juicy, they were overpowered by a heavy handed dollop of goat cheese. I’m a goat cheese fan but it’s too strong to be used in excess as was the case here. I followed it up with the scallops and grits. I had been craving grits my whole trip but this didn’t quite hit the spot. The scallops were very fresh and well seared but the plate was overwhelming huge for a dish so heavy and the smoky tomato sauce meant to add some uniqueness somehow added to the heaviness. Overall not a bad meal, but nothing hit home.

Excellent service and even better food! Wife had the short ribs — so juicy that the meat fell off the bone effortlessly. I had the beef tenderloin and was just as impressed. Make sure to have the spinach salad too. I’ll be back on Thursday for the jazz.

My friends and I were staying at the Sheraton for a convention and wound up eating here our first night because we were simply too lazy to wander around the city in search of food. Boy, were we pleasantly surprised by this place. I mean, it’s called FANDANGLES(WTF? Sounds like something you should see a doctor for) and is located inside the Sheraton, so we weren’t exactly expecting much. My Nicoise salad was honestly one of the best I have ever had. The salmon was fresh and delicious. And we were all jealous of my friend’s corn chowder — so good. One girl in our party got the Sweet Tea Chicken and said it was one of the best things she ate on the trip, which is saying a lot when you factor in how much good food we are. Considering the quality of the food, it was also reasonably affordable. And our server was so lovely. I wish I could remember her name! I wound up eating my last meal in Atlanta here, too — if you can call it a meal. My friend and I ordered the Sweet Potato Cheesecake, and even though peach cobbler wasn’t on the menu, the chef was sweet enough to MAKEITFRESH for us just because we told him how disappointed we were that we hadn’t had any good peach cobbler on our Georgia trip. Anyhow, if you’re in the area and don’t mind sitting in a semi-tacky hotel dining room, Fandangles is worth it!

Just arrived at the hotel for a conference. Needed to eat so I took a chance and was very happy with the food and the service. Just had their blue cheese hamburger with a fried egg which was very good. The waitress was really nice

What a nice surprise. A hotel restaurant that’s is great. Wonderfully attentive staff. My food was great. Don’t pass up because it’s in a hotel. Ask for Fletcher.

My husband and I both had chicken pot pie which is usually a favorite of ours. This one was tasty but with a crust that was not flaky. Do not expect your mother’s chicken pot pie. I think I threw the waiter off when he came with the bill and I asked for the dessert menu. It took about 30 minutes to finally receive our dessert which was very tasty by the way. The bottom line is the food was good but some of the wait staff had their favorite customers and tonight I was not one of them. Go with plenty of time and a fat wallet and you’ll be very happy.

Went to Fandangles for dinner and jazz. From the moment we walked in, we were treated like royalty from the hostess, to the manager Karim, our fantastic(!!) server Tony, and Chef Mark who came out personally to greet us. I had the lobster bisque as an appetizer and was very pleased. The presentation was gorgeous and the soup divine. The fried green tomatoes and the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers was one of, if not the best appetizers my brother has ever had. The corn chowder also looked fabulous and was combined right at the table. I have never seen this before, but loved the twist. For dinner I had the special of the day, a blackened red snapper with a gumbo sauce on a bed of parmesan grits with asparagus and ham. Being from the north I am always skeptical about grits but these were the most delicious dish. So smooth and creamy with the perfect amount of cheese, asparagus and ham. The fish was so flaky and had a crisp blackened crust. Absolutely delicious. My wife got the lamb shank with grits(and mini carrots) which was awesome… so tender and a great marrying of flavors. Dessert was such a treat with a sampler of their steamed lemon pudding with a blueberry compote on top, an out of this world chocolate lava cake and my absolute favorite, the sweet potato cheese cake. Just wow. The wine list is extensive and the cocktails divine. Atlanta is known for its great food, but Fandangles surpassed any expectations… Tony was one of the best servers we have ever had. His attention to every detail, along with his warmth really added to the perfect evening. The restaurant and bar overlook an outdoor patio and pool which looks and feels like a French Quarter neighborhood. Live jazz is played Thursday evenings from 6:30 — 9:30. Perfect backdrop to any meal.

We weren’t feeling ambitious and wanted a place we could reach on foot. Tripadvisor led us here, and we enjoyed our meals. Service was friendly but lax and languid. It took us five minutes to be seated and another five to get menus. Beer glasses sat forlorn and empty for a bit. Setting feels like the hotel restaurant it is, but enough of the bad. We both thoroughly enjoyed the food, which was a nice modern and upscale twist on Southern fare. Though we didn’t order steak, we were also pleased to see they dry-aged their beef. It’s a good choice for food but the setting and service prevent it from being what it could be.

Jazz night… saxy! Decided to eat here based on the tripadvisor reviews and rating. It did not disappoint. The initial contact with a greeter at the entrance was welcoming and a sign of things to come. He was charming, courteous and funny. Our waiter, Tony, was outstanding. He offered suggestions and was helpful and attentive without being overbearing. He even suggested seating us differently and it was perfect. He had a few one-liners that were great. One i will probably never forget and I’ll pass it off as my own one day. You’ll have to go and hope to get him as your waiter. The manager, Karim Sharif, was very pleasant and welcoming. He integrated himself without being a nuisance. We were not that hungry and decided to share an entrée, a salad and an appetizer. Tony made sure to split the portions and give us each a dish so we didn’t have to eat off one dish. It seems trivial but it was super helpful and thoughtful. We had the salmon with spinach and roasted potatoes. Amazing and flavorful. Kale quinoa salad. Delicious. Seared scallop appetizer was cooked to perfection. If i ever head back to ATL, I’ll be going back. If you’re on the fence, just go. Totally deserving of the rating. Oh … if you’re not staying at the hotel, they validate your parking! misbehave responsibly :)

What a wonderful place in Atlanta to go out to eat! The service and food was incredible. I had the seafood dish with rice, seared scallops, shrimp, lobster. My wife had the cauliflower augrautin which was the reason we came back… amazing! If you love Caesar salad this is one of the best we have ever had. Everyone in our party enjoyed their food. The restaurant manager Tony came by and was very gracious and asked how our meal was. When he found out it was my and another friends birthday he gave us a special dessert. Couldn’t have had a better night out with friends. Thank you Sheraton Atlanta!

Horrible service. Waited an hour and 15 min for our food. Manager tells us he will take care of it, and knocks off a whopping $ 4 of our check of $ 80 for two adults and a kid. Asked him about this and he stood behind the discount. Unbelievably poor service and total apathy. Never ever will be back here. As far as the food, it was mediocre and not very warm.

Nice, low key restaurant nestled on the third floor of the Sheraton Hotel, Downtown Atlanta. Reservations or walk in ok. hot bread and butter served while you wait which was very fresh and light, yet filling(so don’t overdo it on the bread!). We had the fried green tomatoes and the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizers which were really good. Salmon entrée and the jumbo shrimp linguini special were very tasty as well. Large portions so come hungry — I packed up half my meal. Nice wine list and full bar if you want to come, sit at the bar and nosh. You can also order entrees from the bar area. great customer service but waiter did leave us alone for quite a while and never asked us if we were interested in dessert. We ended up going to the cheesecake factory afterwards. Nice décor-great 70s music playing in the background. Prices were very reasonable. TVs all around playing the game(if you’re interested-lol) Overall, a definite«you should try it» if you’re in the area. Ranked #5 in Atlanta by Trip Advisor.
