Nice little joint with exceptional service. Food was just ok. Not offensive, but nothing I’ll be craving.

Chicken & steak have an awful aftertaste. Service staff leaves too much to be desired… Pretty much a waste of space in my lovely neighborhood.

Came in on $ 3 taco Tuesday. BBQ taco and fried fish taco were both good, but that’s it. The fried chicken tacos are really thin, taste a lot more fry than chicken. Shrimp taco didn’t have much flavor either. Service was good though.

Order the fried chicken, bacon & ranch tacos. Amazing! Also amazing were the bartenders. Great service all around. We stopped in briefly to enjoy some margaritas before Music Midtown. Loved this place. Next time we are in Atlanta, we will stop back in. thank you!

God bless them, they are good people but why in the world would you open a restaurant if you will run it this way? If it was not for their die heart followers, who only drink there, they would not be open. We got sick. I will it at there. The details are not pretty.

Well, this was THE worst restaurant experience I have had in a very long time(if not ever);therefore, this might be the longest review I ever write. I came with a group of friends after a great day at Piedmont Park. We were a large group but sat at 2 different tables and had different waiters. On my table, we were maybe 10 people. Yes, that’s a lot of people. Yes, we were happy and cheerful and having a great time. No, maybe it would have not been appropriate for a fine dining restaurant. However, there weren’t inappropriate conversations or behavior gong on. Just happy, lively adults having a great time on a Sunday. This is why we picked a seemingly laid back place with a bar. It’s a cantina! Beers, margaritas, and mediocre food should never be accompanied by silence. Our server Kevin, however, disagreed. He also mistook us for a group if middle schoolers and thought it’s ok to whistle, clap his hands above his head and YELL at us to be quiet. Maybe we were exacerbating his self-admitted hang over(that was the 1st thing he told us right after he complained about getting a larger group). Regardless, he could have easily approached us and let us know in a respectful manner. Back to the story– none of us reacted negatively or argued with him then, we just asked for our checks since we were obviously no longer welcome, so we could leave. 20 mins later, a whole lot of attitude, ignoring us and eye-rolling later, he comes back and asks if we wanted our checks. Really? He also makes another statement about us still being loud and rude. Mind you, we were not trying to be… We were ONLY still there because he had not brought our checks and we did not want to skip out in it. We pointed this out and he threatened to call the police on us. Some of us felt like it was getting out hand so the manager was approached regarding the situation. He just stood around and replied there was nothing he could do. No apology… When I mentioned how shameful it was for him to allow a group of people of color to be treated in such a way, there was no attempt at denying that was the real problem either either. No apology + no denial = guilty in my opinion. In the end, we paid, they had the nerve to add the gratuity and ‘warn’ us about it, we left went about our day. It was an extremely unfortunate event that could have been prevented or squashed with the simple use of respect, maybe some diversity training and some basic customer service skills. The food you ask? Average, overpriced Tex-Mex. and not worth the headache and humiliation. I will always make sure to let anyone know not to bring their money here. I sure won’t.

Rude and disrespectful staff and service is never warranted when you are a paying customer. Me and a group of friend ate their for lunch on Sunday, what was supposed to be a pleasant and enjoyable experience turned into an utter nightmare. From the start the staff was a bit standoffish, I’m guessing they did want to accommodate a large group. We receive our drinks and meals in a somewhat timely manner, though we had a hard time locating the waiter serving our table, Kevin, quite a few times. We chatting and laughing just like all the other customers in the restaurant, when out nowhere Kevin shouts«Can you keep it down!» Me and my entire group got silent and just looked at him, no said a word. Then he proceeds to shout again«No but seriously keep it down, you guys are too loud!» Not only was that behavior not warranted but if we were being too loud, he could have addressed us in a more professional manner. At that point we began to ask for our checks. Once again Kevin disappeared for an extended period of time, clearly he got a little to bold and retreated to avoid us. He suddenly appears 15 minutes later and asked if we wanted our checks, remind you we asked for them after his little speech. He finally comes back several minutes later and says«There is a 18% service charge on all your checks.» Someone in my group simply stated you do not deserve that and he proceed to argue with us. The kicker is the Manager was at the bar the entire time during our time there and never said anything us. What a coward. You sat there the entire and let your staff disrespect customers. When we finally asked to speak to him, he was so nonchalant about the situation looked utter scared and confused. His reply was I’ve had a complaint about Kevin. Are you blind?!? You saw how he acted and and spoke to us and you didn’t think that warranted to to step in. After all this, I will never come to this place again, nor would I ever recommend it to anyone.

F.R.O.G.S. get a one star from me because their food was good, but when you’re server whistles at you and tells you to shut up, then proceed to tell you to get out or they’ll call the police because you inform him that his customer service was horrible and told again after the threat that«y’all can get the f*** out» then you’ll receive nothing gracious from me & that’s just me being nice and civilized. Never in my life will I go back there. One bad seed can ruin a person’s view about an establishment. Also, to add to the fact that when the manager was informed about it he shrugged it didn’t help the matter either. Nice Mexican food, but horrible customer service and I refuse to believe this only happened one time either.

After a long hot day in the park, what would be more refreshing than a great margarita and tasty tacos with good company? Well if you’re looking for any of the above, avoid this place. Mediocre food, subpar service and disconnected staff equal a waste of time and calories. Did I mention that the staff is hungover, visibly annoyed by the patrons and management is useless. Here’s a suggestion try taking a lesson in customer service and a cooking course. Owner Clint Barrow is the man. He was very welcoming of our alumni group, and took really good care of us while we were there. We waited for nothing. And we wanted for nothing. The margaritas were delicious(and they were only house margaritas), as was the food. Plus, it was just a perfect day to be out on the deck, enjoying the weather and good company. I had a regular Steak Taco and a Fried Chicken Taco. There is nothing“regular” about that steak taco. It was a big pile of tasty steak with onions and a nice salsa verde. That thing had a little bit of heat on it. I loved it. And I’d heard about the Fried Chicken taco before. I can see why people like it. The chicken is a lightly fried chicken breast that is topped with shredded cabbage, salsa & chipotle cream, served on a soft flour tortilla. Total crowd pleaser. I am very much looking forward to my next trip here, and will delve into more of the«traditional Tex-Mex» offerings on the menu. I hope you’ll join me there.

I love it here. They host a ton of events. In fact I think I’ve only been here when they are hosting things. They have a fun staff decent food, and its a great, no FANTASTIC place to people watch. If you are into drinking try a frozen frog drink. It’s the red one.

Service was pretty good. Food was okay. Unfortunately, you have to pay for chips and salsa, which isn’t too surprising for Atlanta. We got a pitcher of Shocktop and Fat Tire, costing us about $ 14 a pitcher. I had the jerk chicken taco and the steak taco. They were small, but good! I wouldn’t come back ASAP, but I wouldn’t objectify if the group wanted to go back. Nothing special, nothing bad.

After a stressful night the beau and I wanted to enjoy some margaritas. We chose Frogs because it was nearby and we always wanted to check it out. We were a bit disappointed in the queso and chips because the queso lacked flavor(it would’ve been nice to have bigger chunks of onions and bell peppers in it) and the chips were crushed into tiny pieces. The tacos were yummy but definitely not made with the freshest ingredients. My boyfriend had the BBQ chicken tacos and I ordered the shrimp tacos to compliment our margaritas. The margaritas were alright. I definitely felt the effect of the alcohol on our way out to the car but it was a little too sweet to truly enjoy. I’m all about using less ingredients and really showcasing the natural flavors of the components by using good quality ingredients. I didn’t get that with the skinny Texas-like margaritas that tasted more on the orange juice side. My boyfriend felt the same way about the original margaritas. I doubt that I will elect to visit Frogs in the future but it’s definitely a great place to hang with friends while watching sports on their huge flat screen TVs.

The food is decent. The drinks… out of this world. I absolutely love the Bloody Frog. The servers(bartender and waitresses) are nice and courteous and they have a generous pour. If you’re looking for a great strong drink in a cantina-esque atmosphere, this is your place.

Barbecue chicken taco, steak taco, and ground beef taco were all absolutely delicious. Not pictured are the shrimp tacos that were the best ever. Kevin was awesome, very inviting, sweet, and spot on service. Will totally return.

PLEASE someone at F.R.O.G.S read this… please! Up your game, fast! I hadn’t visited in awhile, and today stopped in for lunch. The place wasn’t very busy, but my food took 45min… for mexican! How is that even possible? Service was ok, food was ok(and kind of cold) my glass of water was in a dirty glass. I just feel like there is no effort, and with such a nice location and patio, it would be great if the food and service matched. I can just tell that FROGS is headed downhill and it’s a real shame, because I would like to have it around as my mexican within walking distance :(

Ok I should have known that when a place has a nice patio in a great location and it’s almost empty on a beautiful Sunday afternoon something is wrong. I didn’t originally intend to eat here but Ah-Ma’s next door was closed for vacation which I didn’t know until I arrived. So we decided to give Frogs a go. All I can say is this must be a good drinking bar because I’m pretty sure no one comes here for the food. I had the fish taco, chorizo taco and fried beans. To start the beans came out and they were cold… not room temp but actually cold. Fish taco and chorizo tacos came on equally cold flour tortillas. How about throwing them over a flame or on a flat top for a few seconds to give them a little warmth and maybe a bit of flavor. Overall a very bland, unsatisfying meal. My fault all the warning signs for a bad experience were there and I chose to eat here anyway. This place is a one and done for me.

I’m not one for brief reviews, but it seems like most everyone has nailed it. Service was great, food was okay. Not excellent, not terrible. Not very authentic, as far as other Mexican food is that I’ve had before(or even Tex-Mex). My friend and I got burritos, which actually come in several different flavored wraps. Spinach, regular, and tomato basil. While this isn’t authentic, I think it really added a more robust flavor to the burrito overall. About $ 8, but probably more of a $ 6 burrito, as far as taste goes. You have to pay for chips and salsa, so there’s that. I wasn’t too happy about that, especially since the chips proved to be overly salted and VERY stale. If I’m paying for chips, I wish they wouldn’t taste old and something I could have purchased at the Trader Joe’s next door.
