I’ve been to five different HRO stores but this is my «home» store! I love HRO! If you find yourself in Atlanta, it is worth the drive to the north side of town to visit.
Their inventory is deep and broad — they have almost anything you’re seeking. If they don’t have it in the store, they likely have it elsewhere in the system and can get it sent to you quickly. I bought a US Tower from them!
The staff are all hams, know what works and will be frank with you about things that don’t. Trustworthy advice, clean, broad inventory.
This is as good a ham radio store as exists. Enjoy!

A Canadian Ham’s delight after having to deal with amateur radio stores in Ontario which are best described as dismal and disappointing.
I have had multiple excellent shopping experiences at this particular franchise. The staff were friendly, knowledgeable, helpful and I very much enjoyed my conversations with them.
I will be patronizing this store often when I am back in Atlanta; I highly recommend this store to any hams in the area.

Ham Radio Outlet is stuffed with the necessities of hobby radio. As a relative idiot and newcomer when it comes to the specialty, the store’s staff are beyond helpful and informative. Not only are employees knowledgeable about supplies and questions technical, they are excellent ambassadors of the local ham community, providing tips on training, sharing local event information and more.
I came to the shop with ambitions to buy an active antenna for a shortwave receiver. I walked away with a great antenna and a lot more connections and knowledge about how to get started with ham radio.

It’s hard to find a good amateur radio store. While a bit smaller than I expected for an «outlet,» HRO had a good selection of transceivers and was well stocked with other equipment. The sales person I dealt with was a knowledgeable ham and very helpful. Most impressively, the 2 m mobile radio I bought was significantly less expensive at HRO then on
. I expect to do business with ham radio outlet again.

I’ve traded with HRO for 10+ years both online and local Atlanta. The Atlanta store is very friendly, has decently inventories of gear and prices are competitive with online merchants. One thing you get with a brick and mortar location is someone to go if you have a problem.
Recently worked with Mark the manager and he is extremely customer focused. Purchased a new radio, my 3^rd with HRO in Atlanta, and would go back again.

This place is a ham radio operator dream come true! Reason why? I’ll explain they have all different types of radios for the ham radio operators to pick from! They have VHF/​UHF & HF radios for instance, Icom, Kenwood, Alinco and etc. Plus they have antennas, antenna tuners, towers (special order).
The staff here at the Ham Radio Outlet in Atlanta are great I dealt with Mark & Josh most of the time when I need order a radio or antenna. I’ve been a customer at Ham Radio Outlet for the past 6 years and never had any problems with them or anything i buy from them.
Once you come here you’ll be a little kid in a toy store and want to buy every radio and accessory from them! It’s amazing at this place! They have analog/​digital radios for any operator who likes analog FM or digital/​D-​STAR via Icom line of radios.
For antennas they carry anywhere from MFJ, Comet, Diamond and the rest of the manufacture’s they sale. For study books they have them from the ARRL or offer the Gordon West study books for Technicians, General or Extra class.
This place is the store to check out for anything you may need for your house, car, truck or 18 wheeler or whatever you may need it for.

Good selection, good advice and good prices. I guess it is about as good as it gets! Just wished they had some other locations a bit further north! Still it is worth the drive!
