I came here with my 7 yo son trying to see a game. Let me start by saying I came here while game 3 of the finals was playing, so it was extremely busy. I was greeted by a couple of very nice and helpful hostesses that gave me sum options as to where I could be seated. I had left an Applebee’s a little while earlier due to such rude service that I was so grateful for professional customer service. I love that there are tvs literally every angle you turn. The tvs are good quality and not discolored or burnt out like some places and I am big into basketball so actually being able to see the game is important to me. The waitress was perfect. On time, friendly, and performed her necessary duties. I ordered the salmon with apricot glaze, rice, and spinach. The food was not that good. The salmon wasn’t seasoned, the«glaze» made the skin soggy. The spinach was overly garlicky with no other real flavor, and the rice had a lot of chunks of stuff and was very wet but didn’t seem to taste like much either. My son had fries, those were good. I gave it 2 stars for the service, even the valet attendants were very pleasant.

Lots of unrealized potential… especially with the location… next to Mellow and Pub 71. Great TVs and a generally inviting bar area. Just not a real fan of the food. Atmosphere is lacking at this location. Could be the view of the intersection and Marta from the patio.

Me not so much. Husband loves a big messy burger and that is what he got. He also doesn’t mind frozen onion rings. Potato Chips and dip with tasteless dip. When you order a burger with no bun you can really get into the quality and taste of the meat. Not much of either for me. What was good was the side of fruit! I know I am a tired old lady but, what do you do with the rest of your day if you are sitting at a bar loading up on beer at 2pm in the afternoon on a Saturday? Service was great. Televisions abundant.

I reluctantly went here with friends. Yes this Hudson Grille is in a great location. But that’s all it has going for it. The service was so slow. It was not that busy but nobody came by our table for 15 minutes. Another 15 minutes to get beers. Had to flag the server down to order food. The wings were ok but not great. The buffalo chicken salad had old lettuce and the burger was burnt. Not sure how this place stays open. It was awesome when it was Jocks and Jills. This location deserves to have a great restaurant in it. Hopefully some day it will.

I must say that this is without a doubt the worst restaurant I’ve been to in all of Atlanta. The only reason why they received one star from me is because their beer is cold and they have numerous TV’s. The food in this place is so bad that it is borderline not-edible. I’ve tried so many different things on the menu, hoping that one day I’ll find something that tastes good. Time, after time, I am extremely disappointed. My last trip I ordered a buffalo chicken wrap because I figured there was no way a restaurant could mess that up… Well Hudson Grille somehow found a way to. The other biggest issue about this place is their atrocious service. After my first awful service experience, I’ve been back 3 more times and experienced just as bad, if not worse service then each time prior. There is no reason I should wait 20 minutes for a bud light bottle or more than an hour for nachos. One of two things is painfully obvious: either 1.) the management in this place is not doing an adequate job training their people or 2.) they are terribly understaffed. Either way, the service is flat out deplorable. This place has so much potential because they have a ton of great TV’s which creates a fun atmosphere for games. But whatever you do make sure you eat before you come, or maybe pack a picnic to bring in with you. If they don’t fire their chef, and start from scratch on a new menu, they will surely be out of business in the next few months.

Service was great. Bartender let me know he was there to serve. But the food. No bueno. Stale chips for the lobster dip and dried out mahi for the sliders. Very disappointed for the price.

This is a pretty good sports bar. The service tonight was excellent. It is loud, but it’s a sports bar. I had the spinich dip $ 6.95 and classic hamburger $ 9.95. The food was fine.

This place looked really cool. We are traveling and stopped in to give it a try. We sat at the bar and Jessica the bartender greeted us after a few minutes. We gave her our drink order and we asked for. menus because we wanted to order food. She brought us our drinks and she never returned. We waited for a half hour(sitting at the bar in front of her) waiting for her to take our order. I am really dissapointed with the service here and they really need to have more that a single bartender working on a Friday evening. We were planning to have dinner and hang around for a while and they made it clear they didn’t want our business. As we were leaving, I spoke to the manager and I told him what happened, and he shrugged his shoulders and asked if there was anything he could do. I told him no as the service would not have improved.

I probably should’ve read the reviews prior to coming here but considering I had a good experience at the downtown location, I didn’t think it would be necessary. First off, I am nausus. After one day of eating at this location, I really feel sick. I bet that cleanliness is off the mark at this place. Whoever made the cucumber salad forgot to put the baseline ingredients in. I literally had cut up cucumbers and tomatoes and that’s it. Doesn’t the chef know that cucumber salad at the very least is made with red wine vinegar and olive oil? Why would anyone get served dry cucumber salad? So gross. I ended up getting a regular salad w/balsamic vinegarette and the dressing was disgusting. Sangria was nasty and the house wine tasted industrial. Chicken sandwich was good but it wasn’t hot. It was a breeze getting seated and although service was a bit slow, our server was nice. They definitely have an issue with consistency and cleanliness that they need to focus on. However, I’m too sick right now to say that I’ll be back.

Horrible. Absolutely horrible. Came here on a Saturday night around 5:30. Slow service, & when I say slow I mean EXTREMELY slow. Server would disappear for long periods of time. Boring food. Rude employees. Please don’t ever come here. Please save yourself the headache. Please pick somewhere else to eat.

I really don’t get the bad reviews. Perhaps I have just been lucky. We visited for lunch after I discovered that Pub71 was not open for lunch during the workweek. *womp, womp* We were seated right away in a booth. We told the server that some of us had to be out in an hour and she was very good at making sure that everything was done in a timely manner. We didn’t even have to ask for our check. She got it right out to us as we wrapping up eating. My order was: THEMEGATRONBURGER– Avocado, candied bacon, pickled red onion, secret sauce $ 10.95. Patrons have the choice of: *Half-Pound, Hand-Pattied Angus Beef Ground Chuck *All-Natural Marinated Chicken Breast *House-Made Spinach & Quinoa Burger *House-Made Turkey Burger I opted for the chuck. Sauce on the side. Wheat bun(you can choose between white and wheat). Onion rings for a $ 1 upcharge(you can also pay $ 1 for sweet potato fries). The burger was delicious. Cooked properly and the toppings were a wonderful compliment. The onion rings were plenty and though not cooked perfectly, were better than most onion rings that I have had. No complaints on this visit. Ready to go again!

Mike the manager at Hudson Grille is completely incompetent and rude. I don’t this this man could run a McDonalds let alone a sports bar. After I went to 5 different employees with an issue I figured the next logical step would be to go to the manager since they were unable to resolve my issue. As soon as I approached Mike he started yelling at me. I had to remind him that I’m the customer he has no right to yell at me and needs to lower his voice. He never resolved my issue and obviously doesn’t understand what customer service is or is interested in keeping customers. I’ll never go back here again — do not waste your time and go somewhere else!!!

Hudson Grille is a go to spot for my work group. We can easily walk across the street. One of the managers, Mike, knows most of us and comes by to greet us occasionally. This particular location is hit or miss, it depends on the mission of your trip. if you are coming for lunch it can be extremely busy and without fail your order will almost always be incorrect and take forever, hence our boss has forbid our team going here for lunch any more. If going for after work drinks between the times of 3 – 6, don’t bother. They usually only have 2 – 3 servers caring for the entire floor and service will be incredibly slow. I had manager tell me its normal to only have as few as 2 servers cover the entire floor which is why we always have slow service. Because Hudson Grille is within walking distance and we are sales team, we usually look forward to a celebration and to take our meeting to the pub… this usually is not the case as we have tried many times at Hudson Grille only to have poor, slow service. One day we requested last minute quiet space in the backroom at Hudson Grille, the hostess had no clue what we were talking about when we called in and transferred us to a manager, he said the room had a minimum price to spend which was fine with us, we would spend it, but he ended up talking us out of the room and told us he would turn the TV near the hostess stand down for us to hold a meeting so he didn’t have staff the back room. All the money we were willing to pay went down the drain, instead they catered to us as a regular table of 7 in the bar. This past Friday, a party of 5 of us ordered the lobster dip, red queso, and blue cheese chips as appetizers and our food made it out before our drinks, we were halfway through food and water before our beers even arrived. Our second beers arrived even slower so we ended up not ordering dinner there and decided to go elsewhere. A restaurant down the road on Dresden that usually opens at 5 pm now opens for my team early on some days for us to have a work meeting with appetizers and plenty of alcohol. For dinner/cocktails after 6 pm, more servers come on and it can take on a more relaxed, sports bar atmosphere. Servers are more abundant, food comes quicker, drinks come at the same slow pace. Food is great and if the alcohol is coming, the game is on, there is trivia or karaōke, it is much easier to stay longer and keep spending. Bottom line, we are always greeted by the same manager and most of us have loyalty cards, which is a plus, I have a $ 25 credit on my next meal with the points I’ve accrued; however, I wish the service at Hudson Grille was better. Many times over the 3 years I’ve been going to this location I’ve experienced slow service and servers who do not care.

In the time it has taken me to write this review, Hudson Grille has lost one of their best assets – Nicole. We had an alumni Hockey Watch event at this Hudson Grille, and they really delivered a fun time for all of us. Our glasses were never empty. We had plenty of delicious bar-foods to eat. Everyone went home happy.(Especially since our team won.) At the front of this team effort, the server responsible for our group was Nicole. She was personable. Efficient. Handled all requests with ease. But even in the absence of a group, I’ve never had a bad meal here. This is the kind of place you might go to hang with a friend over a beer and some moderately-up-scale bar food.(They do a really good job with the food.) And it is a sports bar, so every where you turn there will be a television for you to look at instead of paying attention to your date. But I digress. All-in-all, Hudson Grille makes having a good time easy. So I hear Nicole has gone on to other things. Good for her. We’ll have to see who else at Hudson can provide exemplary service to us next time we’re there. Holler if you’re coming with.

Very delicious food. I ordered Shrimp and Grits. Yum. Huge portion, could not eat it it. My husband ordered blackened talaria. He didn’t like it too well. Service catered to a group of African American men that wanted to watch the basketball game. The channel was switched while we were watching the fight and softball game. That’s why I give 4 stars instead of 5. Our server was sweet and looked like Olivia Pope from Scandal. Overall good experience.

I really like going to the ome in midtown and go there often. Decided to come here on a random Wednesday. Not nearly as good. First, it was freezing cold. I sat at the bar area, and they must have had the AC on full blast. Very uncomfortable. Second, the server was very strange. He was jittery, twitchy and didn’t really seem to know what he was doing. He would disappear for long periods of time, and dropped his share of silverware and plates. He left me with a very uncomfortable feeling. Finally, the food was average at best. My friend ordered the angry Jamaican turkey burger, and it was average at best. I ordered the chicks caprese sandwich, and it was bone dry. Overall, not a good experience, but because I like the midtown location so much, and trust the brand, I would come back.

The food at Hudson Grille is so bad that even after eating the crispy catfish sandwich, fries and the Mocha Ice Cream Cake this past Friday night, I am wishing I had foregone religious requirements and just had the low-budget wings instead. Seriously, this isn’t good food, and when friends came back here the night after I went, my quick«no» to refuse eating there twice in two nights may have come off the wrong way(wrong for them, right for me). Now, as a place to drink and watch sports, I thought Hudson Grille was fine. Sure, it’s not taking the place of really any of the good sports bars where I live in Chicago, but it’s fine as a place to get a $ 3 pint of Bud Light and watch a game of hoops. The booths in the main restaurant are nice, the outdoor bar tables/patio are great, and there are enough TVs to satisfy most sports fans. But the layout, particularly of the back/non-TV rooms, is terrible, so as a space, it’s not a winner. Make sure to eat elsewhere before showing up to watch the Final Four!

First visit back in awhile; some(nice) new staff; new menu items I tried! One of my(food-related) New Year’s Resolutions is to try something new at a place I’ve been before, or something totally new to me at a first visit to a new place. So, I went with the new-to-me turkey Panini — roasted turkey, cheese(I got regular Jack instead of the chipotle version), avocado, bacon, L&T and red onion(I got the spicey-ish aioli on the side). Hot, delicious and large. Comes already halved so it’s perfect if you eat half and save half for later. Fries still delicious as always. I love a good turkey sandwich and a good Panini, so this was an ideal combo of the two!

I’m surprised from the low rating, but I’ve only been here once and can only review based on my first visit. We came on a Monday so there was no wait. The host and server were both friendly. The Monday special is a Classic burger with all the dressing for $ 5.95, and you get a pick a side. What a deal! Normally the classic burger is $ 8.95, so we decided to get the special. You get to pick 2 toppings for the burger. My husband’s topping was pimento cheese and apple wood smoked Bacon. He gives a thumbs up. His side was sautéed spinach. it was fine… not much you can do with spinach. unless you put lots of butter on it but then that defeats the purpose of trying to eat something healthy. My topping was fontina cheese and apple wood smoked bacon. And my side was sweet potato fries which cost $ 1.00. Which I understand but it’s a dollar so I can’t complain too much. Thumbs up for burger and fries! This place is really close to us so we will most likely go again. I’ll update my review if I feel it doesn’t reflect 5 stars next time. 2÷24÷2014UPDATINGREVIEW. I REMOVED1STARBASEDON3RDTIMEORDERINGFOOD. The 2nd time we went to the place for burgers again. We still enjoyed the burgers. Yesterday is the 3rd time we ordered. My husband ordered Buttermilk fried chicken. He said is was«just ok» but not what he was looking for. It was basically just 1 chicken boneless chicken breast breaded and fried. This meal is not worth $ 12.95 at all. I ordered Shrimp, Chicken and Sausage Rigatoni — I can honestly say this was probably the most HORRIBLE dish I have ever ordered from Atlanta in the 9 months I’ve been living her. The sauce tasted like something straight out a cheap jar of sauce, like RAGU. It’s definitely not home made sauce. I really did try to eat it because I was really hungry and I did not want to waste $ 15.95 but after a few bites I had to stop. Since I was home, we ordered take out. I did my best to doctor up this horrible pasta dish. I put the pasta in a colander and washed off the gross sauce. I then heated up a better jar of spicy tomato sauce by Classico. I covered the pasta and this sauce and added Pecorino grated cheese… this helped improve the flavor. After this order, we probably will only order burgers.
