If you want a good burger… go there. I love their fish, burgers, sandwiches, fries, just about anything. Fast, good for groups, kids, etc!

This place was dirty! The food was over salted. The fries and the catfish were prebreaded and packaged. Basicly a fast food place. The fine dining is definately misleading. Will not come again.

We were driving back to Shreveport from Texarkana and stopped here for dinner. Absolutely everything we ate here was delicious. My husband loved the fish and I loved the chicken. All of our sides were large portions and delicious. We had a malt for dessert and it really hit the spot. I highly recommend stopping here if it is on your route. Great food and outstanding service! Make sure to bring cash for a tip though, the credit card receipts have no spot for them.

Home, Sweet East Texas Home Cooking. Please do not get distracted by the outdoors sign containing local politicking. Or the fact that as soon as you enter the place, the menu board boasts either Mexican food, Burger Joint choices, or Catfish. To me, initially this was the warning sign of a restaurant not defining its menu choices. This is usually a sign of: «business going slow and we need to get as many patrons as we can», specially if we talk about a small place with pops as the main cook and mom ringing up the cashier. OK, to tha foood we gooo. I went ahead and ordered the big catfish plate as I saw it being enjoyed by one of the patrons in one of the tables. So, catfish passed the eye inspection. Plate came prompt to my table and it lived to expectations. Crunchy on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. After the first bite to my catfish, I had no second thoughts about the claim on the menu board that says«farm-raised, catfish». I’m sure my catfish was grasing with the goats the week before his funeral… The soul food experience did not stop there. Fries, cole slaw, pickled green tomatoes accompanied my Farm Boy Catfish. All good, bountyful and cooked to high-octane oil standars. Ah, the plate had also some generic Tatter Tots that perhaps came from an Ore-Ida bag, but that’s OK. No star will be deleted, since tots were also well cooked and crunchy. Locals meet in this place and everyone knows everyone else. That oughtta tell the out-o-towner that the place is good. I mean, if you live in Atlanta, Texas and dine at Jack’s Fine Foods on Thursday, and –for some odd reason– the food upsets your tummy; you will for sure see Jack on Sunday Mass to tell him about it, pardtner.
