We’ve come here and gotten boxes and rented trailers a few times. Never a problem never any complaints. Handy place to have in town. They close early on Saturdays, so keep that in mind.

My reason for renting a Uhaul was to take some furniture from my recently deceased grandfather’s house in Atlanta, TX, back to my home 3 hours away. I had initially made reservations for a Uhaul in late October to pick up on Saturday morning 11⁄25. Unfortunately I was called that morning asking if I could pick up from a different location at least an hour away. As I was in the process of driving to Atlanta when I got the call, I could not make it to another location before close and cancelled my reservation. In order to avoid this mishap again, I made my 2nd reservation weeks ahead of time to ensure it would not get cancelled. I planned to pick up a trailer in Atlanta, TX, on Saturday, 11⁄29. However on Friday, 11/28, at 10:15 am, I was called to see if I could pick it up that same day as Jesse, the guy who ran the store, «had plans» the next day and was not going to open the store. If I couldn’t pick it up that day, he was going to transfer my reservation to another location probably an hour away to pick up Saturday morning. As I had plans to be at my grandfather’s memorial in Atlanta at on Saturday morning, I could not spend 2 hours going to another town to pick up my trailer. I was in Oklahoma(4 hours away) visiting family for Thanksgiving when he called and ended up deciding to quickly pack up and cut my trip there short in order to get to Atlanta that day. Over the phone Jesse told me «since your original reservation was to return it on Monday, I won’t charge you for the extra day» as if he was doing me a favor and not honoring my reserved time. I am completely frustrated with this entire experience. I am a long-time Uhaul customer, but would definitely advise any one against using the Atlanta Uhaul location.
