This is a small gallery that hosts EXCELLENT photography exhibitions. The staff is very helpful, especially one young man who knowledgeably answers all my questions even as he works away to fulfill orders.

I give this place a strong 4, and hold onto more stars because I’ve only been once. Jackson is a small(er), more house like structure. However, when you go inside, its not really that bad. I don’t really remember how I found my way here, I think I saw a listing on creative loafing and decided to drag my friend. The photography was beautiful. I liked it because it wasn’t too pretentious. Given the area, I thought it would be more snooty, but it wasn’t. They girls who were there were nice too, even though we were there pretty close to their closing time. Its a really nice spot to check out some really interesting photography. It’s not too big, so for me I ended up spending less time here than I thought I would. So its a cool place to stop by. Yes, I would definitely visit again.

I’m happy to recommend you ladies and gentlemen a fantastic place to stop by before dinner or drinks, if only to give your eyes the stimulant gift of a photographic visual experience. If you like going to museums or galleries, this is definitely a place you have to get to know and visit in Atlanta. Jackson Fine Art is one of the most important photography galleries in the South, with an internationally pristine reputation. Founded in 1990, it has three exhibition rooms, a print viewing area, and a resource library. They usually put up a new exhibition every six weeks. One of the things I like the most about Jackson Fine Art is that they do a good job of keeping close to students and the community, especially by organizing artist talks and seminars. I’ve been to several of the artist talks, and it’s a wonderful experience to listen to someone you admire sharing his/her work background and involvement with the medium. You’ll likely leave inspired and, possibly, with a signed copy of a great photo book! The gallery also organizes private photography collections, such as the one owned by Elton John(where any of us professional photographers –fine art or documentary – would love to have a spot!) If you’re invited to an opening at this gallery, don’t hesitate to go. You can be sure you’ll be attending a first-class exhibition and looking at work that is remarkable and relevant to the art world!
