Do not choose this KFC unless you want to wait 22 minutes for ANYTHING! This was the worst customer service experience in many years. The staff is rude and slow-witted at best, literally laughed in my face, «we ain’t got no chicken.» How can a chicken restaurant run out of chicken? Avoid this place anytime after about 5 pm.

Food was good, hot and fresh, but the service was awful. Will not be going back to this KFC.

On rare occasions I will get a craving for some KFC. It brings me back to my childhood days when mom would bring home a bucket and we would all get excited. It was soooo good. I’m convinced that their food was 1000 times better back then than it is now. But, on those aforementioned rare occasions I will drive down to KFC and treat myself to a once happier time now forgotten. Although, it’s debatable whether or not bombarding one’s heart with fat and cholesterol should be considered a ‘treat’. I mean let’s face it, if you google the definition of unhealthy food I’m pretty sure you’ll find a picture of that fat ass Colonel Sanders smiling back at you.

I don’t like fast food in general and rarely eat it but in a pinch needed a quick dinner drive thru. «Fast» should not apply to this establishment. The employee was rude, took almost 10 mins to take the order. 5 vehicles in the line behind me left during this 1st step, I’m ordering a non complicated combo meal from the menu & changing nothing. Another 5 min waiting at the window then pulled to the side for a good 5 mins to wait upon the food. Never coming back

Food choices are limited the far south on Buford Hwy. A few miles north and you’re in Foodie Heaven. Clearly, I’m not a Foodie or I wouldn’t have skipped 200 types of noodles to stand in line for greasy chicken. Keep in mind, I like greasy. Usually. Here it just plain sucked. I was in search of a taco and ended up deciding that KFC would be a better lunch choice. I came inside and stood in a line that didn’t move. The folks in front of me actually discussed leaving and going to McDonald’s. The cashier wasn’t all that great, but the guy behind her that was helping run orders was awesome. He saw she was moving slowly, so he stepped up and started asking people what they wanted before they ordered from her so it would be ready. Mine was ready… and so hot it would’t cool off… and so wet the skin was like slime. Combine those two issues and I ended up picking the leg apart with my fingers(because y’all know a spork just doesn’t cut in these situations).

Not expecting gourmet here, but the owners/management need to stop leaving the food out all day under heat lamps, unless you’re going to give me a discount for food that tastes old.

Okay, I am not writing about this specific KFC. I am once again delving into the remnants of my childhood in Brookhaven. In the mid to late 60’s there was a restaurant called the Davis Brothers at the intersection of Peachtree and Brookhaven Drive across Peachtree from Dresden. Davis Brothers, I believe, had some affiliation with KFC but can’t really remember. What I do remember is that we were pretty poor when I was a kid and we would occasionally be treated to a dinner out. Davis Brothers has this yummy chicken fried steak smothered in milk gravy that I loved. Cut it up, put it between the yeast rolls and stuff it in my face. A KFC opened next door and it was my first introduction to the deliciousness of the Colonel’s creation. It was a wonderful thing when my usually absent father showed up with a bucket of the true original. Over the years KFC has taken a lot of hits and to be honest, today I prefer Popeyes spicy. But back then, Brookhaven was just a sleepy little area. The shopping center where Harris Teeter failed was a small strip located directly on Peachteee with a movie theater(they actually showed ‘I Am Curious Yellow”, a big deal at the time). And at Cherokee Plaza, they had a Zippy’s toy store where I got(somehow) my Vroom Bicycle. I love to think back to the glorious 60’s, the crazy as hell 70’s and smile. I am sure that kids today would have no concept of what to do with what we had at that time.

Mostly been served by the drive thru. Location gets busy, but most times(not ALL the time) my food is hot. There are a couple of times when they’ve left items out the bag. Efficient service at the most.
