Burger was great! Good selection in the market as well, especially for the size. Only lost a star because a.) Menu in store didn’t match online menu and the specific item we went there for wasn’t offered and b.) my wife couldn’t handle the loud punk rock that was blasting in the market. We opted to eat out on the curb instead. I will definitely come back though.

Last summer, I rediscovered this food shop/diner on a walk with my kids. It’s now a family favorite. Who doesn’t love a place that serves food, sells candy, ice-cream and Boylan’s Birch Beer? It’s the closest food store to our SE Atlanta home and they carry other gourmet food items and essentials. My kids enjoy the burgers, hot dogs, fries and onion rings. It’s currently Burger Week in Atlanta(apparently it’s a thing), so we’d been looking for a reason to stop by Little’s for burgers. We ordered Cabbagetown Classics — classic quarter pound burgers with cheese, lettuce, tomato, pickles, mustard and grilled onions. It doesn’t get much better than that! So glad we stopped by for burger week. Don’t let the exterior of this place fool you — truly a gem!

One of my favorite hidden gems in Atlanta. Tucked away in Cabbagetown, Little’s offers a simple yet satisfying menu. You’re better off going with multiple single burgers or a chili dog and a side of onion rings than trying some of their larger burgers. Grab some beer and take it to go with some friends or stay in and soak in the dive atmosphere that it offers in one of Atlanta’s most unique neighborhoods.

If you live nearby, you already know its merits. If not, go give it a try when you’re in the area. Quality neighborhood store with a solid grill area with friendly staff. Grab a burger or breakfast sandwich(their bacon is A+) and a drink from the cooler and take a seat at the bar. Decent selection of beer/wine as well.

2nd best burger in ATL. Yep, better than Bocado and all the other«best burgers» in Atlanta… except H&F…bc, well, H&F. Anyways, goddamn these are delicious. I just Love a good, seasoned thin patty w lots of American cheese and pickle. It’s just such a solid little burger. I got the ¼ lb double and my husband got the ½ pound. Personally I liked my ¼ lb better bc the ratio of bread to meat to cheese was so on point. Fries = awesome. Salty, crispy, perfect. Hot dog — really good flavor. They were out of just about everything else but no points will be docked bc all you ever need here is a classic burger and fries. Also, what a cool little store and great wine selection. I will be back!

Littles definitely has the best burger in town, and their beer selection is amazing. Slightly overpriced when it comes to beer and groceries but the littles burger and fries are truly to die for.

Burgers, hot dogs, fries sold at a local convenient store. We arrived around closing time and noticed the cook cleaning up the kitchen. This review is solely based on their burgers and fries. Two of us ordered one burger each with cheese and shared one order of fries. The quality of the meat was good but the burger was slightly over done, easy to do with a thin patty. However the fries were crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The prices reflect the counter– restaurant atmosphere. If in the area, I’d have a burger here but my search for the best continues… Tip: customers can buy the beer in the fridge to enjoy with the meal.

This is a local’s secret because otherwise I probably would have never known about this place. It’s a cool little shop with great sliders. They have a good selection of beer and drinks on top of that. I ended up getting a slider with fries and it satisfied my craving. It was the perfect late afternoon snack. The place is a bit small so seating is tight but we managed just fine. I just wish they didn’t have the A/C blowing especially when it was rather pleasant outside.

A cute grocery store/diner joint. It located on Carroll St and quite hidden. I took a double glance to make sure it was the right place. There is very limited parking on the street during dinner time FYI. The staff was super friendly and attentive. We bought our beer from the grocery store part and sat down at the counter. I order a single burger and my boyfriend order a double. A great burger for the price! I think my burger was like $ 2 bucks. We also split fries and fried pickles. I think our menu was 10 bucks minus the beers. I don’t really drink beer, but my boyfriend said they have a decent selection for you beer drinkers

I had a great experience at Little’s. The store had a good selection of local goods — produce, beer, etc. The service was very friendly. My boyfriend and I both got the double burger and it was VERY good. It seemed a bit small when it arrived, but when paired with a side it was the perfect size for lunch. The burger was fresh-made, fresh-grilled, and had those wonderful charred bits on the edges. We got a side order of fries, which were so, so good. Super fresh, hot and salty. We also got the sweet and spicy slaw, which was delish. Very saucy, and I’m pretty sure incorporated mustard seed. Our two burgers, two sides, and two coffees totaled about $ 15. What a great deal! Loved the burger. So flavorful. Will definitely be back.

Little’s is a little neighborhood store with a big heart of Cabbagetown. Being in here is like winding back the clock with old nickel machines and classic signs. Even collector toys are in a case behind the food bar. Little’s originally opened in 1929 and you can feel the history. Now, I came for the infamous burger but little did I know that they also carry fresh local produce, organic milk, 1000 faces cold brew coffee, bagels, and other market items. If you come to eat, keep in mind, there are less than two handfuls of barstools, but I recommend eating there to enjoy every bite while it’s hot. I got the burger basket special written on the board, but I picked up the menu and they do have biggie and little burgers, hot dogs, sandwiches, and breakfast. My burger was a ¼ pound a juiciness right off the grill topped with white american, grilled onions, and mustard(thanks for holding the pickle). I added ketchup and doused my fries in vinegar. These fries were excellent – the fresh cut version with skin still on. The burger tasted like the best Memorial Day cookout – a real classic, no frills, no trendy modifications – just a righteous American burger. Don’t expect anything fancy, but just appreciate the character of this place and that you get a hearty slab of meaty oomph with fries and a crisp fountain drink for less than 10 bucks – shoot I am paying more than 10 bucks at Five Guys and there is just no comparison. Little’s has rightfully been claimed as one of Atlanta’s Top Burgers. Don’t miss out.

The hype is real! Now don’t expect your fancy burgers(that’s what Holeman and Finch is for). This is your basic, classic(greasy), hearty burger. The burger and fries– I could tell it was a ground beef patty that someone rolled up with their hand and grilled just for me. It tasted perfect. It really was better than I expected. 100% better than getting fast food, and worth the 10 – 15 minutes I waited on it to cook. The fries are your basic greasy fries, nothing fancy but what else do you expect here? My friend got slaw instead of the burger and liked it too. This place is a small, ram shackle store that has a grill in the back. You can get wine, snacks, etc. here but definitely stop and get a burger before heading out. Too bad you can’t buy liquor and drink it with the burger. They can sell it but not serve it here. They offer bar stools at the front for you to sit in(yup they will be torn and worn out but who cares).

I’ll echo the majority and rate the burger high, as well as the fries. One thing about the burger, though. It’s been characterized — maybe even on the menu as — a slider. When I think slider, I have in mind White Castle or Krystal. Little’s burger is more like a regular sized affair, something more than a slider but not giant-sized like many you get. In any case, tasty. Service, charm and friendliness are, however, giant-sized.

Little’s was truly an experience. Let’s go with the GOOD– the burger was delicious. It was what we call, a «house» burger. The burger that your Mama tells you she can make at the«house» better than McDonald’s when you’re a kid and of course, want to go to McDonald’s. The woman working was delightfully nice. Except that she passed out free samples of their hot, new, right out of the oven bread pudding to customers at the bar(except me). They didn’t even know what bread pudding was. I, on the other hand, love bread pudding. The bearded man told her not to give any more away, as they needed to start selling some. As I was leaving, I asked how much a small bread pudding would be(thinking maybe she’d remember that she rudely excluded me from the sampling earlier), and she says $ 4.99. I laughed! It stayed there. The bearded man on the grill whined and cried for 25 minutes straight about a special order concerning splitting hot dogs that he had to make. He’d talk about it. Let it go. Then, start up again. Then, he’d do a little more work, then bring it back up to the nice lady at the front. This went on the ENTIRE time I was there. No exaggeration. At one point, the lady asked him if he wanted her to make the order. Of course, he said no. The atmosphere of Littles is definitely a throwback to the 40’s and 50’s. Maybe it was too soon after me seeing«Selma» or something. It was actually a little unsettling for me. That’s how authentically realistically preserved the place has been. I started having visuals of the history the little store must have. Oh. The customer base? All new neighborhood neighbors/gentrifiers. That’s the great thing about FOOD– it brings us all together– we all love to eat good food!!!

This spot is dope! The food is good, the environment is cool. The burgers are made with quality beef and the onions are good. The chilli is also on point and has a little kick to it. Check this little spot out.

Really cool shop. Has organic locally-sourced vegetables and meat from the butcher shop. Had a really decent selection of craft beers, along with wines as well. Food/snack selection is sparse, but varied. The staff was super friendly, and if I lived in this neighborhood of Atlanta, I’d want to stop here all the time. It’s like a cozy, small business version of a 7-Eleven.

«Welcome to Good Burger, home of the Good Burger! Can I take your order?» — Good Burger(1997) Good things come in small packages. Stop 3 on the burger tour and we were getting pretty full. Thank goodness these were sliders. Lots to choose from, but we just said — «give us what you’re known for.» Little’s is a grocery store in Cabbagetown with a small grill in the back. They have typical grocery items: produce, pantry items, beer, cigarettes, etc., but when you walk in what you smell are the burgers. The waft of beef grease hitting the hot flat top and toasting potato buns just fills this little shop to the point that no matter how full you might be — you just have to have a bite. So we chatted up the owners(Nina and Brad) and found that their most popular item came with cheese, grilled onions and mustard. 13 please! Okay well 11 and a couple special orders, actually. We all mulled around while the beef sizzled away and luckily we found Doc Brown’s soda in the cold case. Root Beers all around! They have a handful of counter seating(10 – 12 I believe) and enough room for the rest of us to cozy up to one another. As the red plastic baskets started being passed around — you could hear a pin drop as we sunk our teeth into the delightful sliders of wonder. They melt the cheese while the burgers are still on the grill — so you end up with that delectable charred cheese that almost burns on the griddle — that’s the money bite. Little’s is a new fave that I will have to hit again. Probably the best slider in Atlanta — and I’m not afraid to say so. Just ask Brad — he has them tattooed on his arm!

May 3rd, 2014 — Stop #3 on our Burger Tour. I kept asking myself one question as I navigated the extremely tight city streets of Atlanta: Why did you choose to come here? It wasn’t long before I got my answer. Little’s is a grocery store that open in 1929 to serve the community of Cabbagetown. It survived without any changes to its family ownership for almost a century before briefly closing its doors in 2005, only to find itself in jeopardy again in 2013. But thanks to a rally cry from the local community, Little’s was saved to fight another day. Part grocery store, part grill, the entire place hearkens back to the days when you only walked a few blocks to get your groceries instead of driving miles to the mega-stores we have today. Where the store owner might also be your neighbor… and friend. It’s so easy to visualize Little’s in it’s heyday, part of the perfect little community where people are friendly, goods were local made/grown and service was like visiting your grandmother’s house. Surrounded by other small business shops as well as residential living, it left me with a far more intimate impression of city living than I would have ever expected. This store was featured on TV several times, but not since the new owners have taken over. The couple that now owns the store(Brad & Nina) were welcoming and engaging. They are so serious about their burgers that Brad has tattoo’d them on his arm… LOL! Gotta love that and his story of survival:
There is not a lot of space, but cozy enough for our party of 13 to have room at the kitchen counter for a meal. What really got me excited was the potato hamburger buns. It felt serendipitous because the topic of potato buns came up at our last stop. I shared with the group how much I loved potato buns growing up in Chicago when several people told me it’s also available in Atlanta. Low and behold Little’s uses potato buns for their burgers and all was right in the universe. THEFOOD We were starting to feel our stomachs reaching their limits after having already downed burgers @ Argosy and Ann’s. So it was a pleasant surprise to find the slider-sized burgers they are known for to be just a handful. But don’t let their size fool you. These little delights pack a meaty punch of burger deliciousness. They were a real hit with everyone in our party. — — — — — - — - — - HISTORY Cabbagetown was built as the surrounding residential village to Fulton Bag & Cotton Mill, which began operations in 1872 as Elsas, May and Company but changed it’s name in 1881. Years later it became known as The Fulton Cotton Mill. It was one of the first textile processing mills built in the south and remained open until 1978. Now the site is home to Fulton Cotton Mill Lofts. Check out this writers article on the lofts and the history of Cabbagetown. Be sure to click on the gorgeous loft pictures: — — — — — - — - — - THEVERDICT I truly enjoyed my visit here today. The whole experience made me wish I was lucky enough to be a resident within walking distance, because I could see myself coming here EVERY day to eat and have conversation. It was outstanding and for the first time in my 20 years of living in Georgia, I truly want to live INSIDE the city limits… right here in Cabbagetown!
