Magnolia bistro always has great food and service. I’ve been here many times and never had a bad experience. It’s located downtown easily accessible to GSU students and downtown workers. It’s really a hidden gem! There’s plenty of tables and the huge windows makes it a nice place to eat in, as well as the patio. It’s very casual, you order and pay for your food at the counter then they call your name to pick it up. I’ve had the burger, boneless strips, subs, wraps, and their salad bar. My favorites are their strips and wraps. I love their fries too! They always have a special, ranging from fish and rice to Asian chicken with sides, as well as a soup of the day. Their salad bar seems to be popular and has a nice selection. Prices are fair and you get a good amount of food for what you pay for.

Fast and very friendly. The Vegetable Caprese Panini will keep me coming back! Delicious! And so close to GSU library(which of course is where I spend a majority of my time.)

I’ll give two stars for appearance and coffee. The restaurant was open and clean. It looked like a great place to chill and take some stress off for GSU students. They serve Starbucks coffee, and it was great and quickly served. My problems with the place was that they did not accept a coupon I received through Unilocal for their coffee. That wasn’t a big deal, but as a working college student, every penny counts. The most annoying issue was that I waited almost fifteen minutes for a simple chicken biscuit. And when it came, it was awful. The sausage was burnt and tiny, and the sandwich was not stacked properly. The sausage also had too many flavors going on at once to a point where I did not even finish it and ended up throwing it away. I would not recommend that to anyone, it was one of the worst things I’ve eaten in a while. I may return to the place, but I’ll have low expectations next time. Be wary of their food.

I was completely surprised by the offering here. Magnolia Bistro is on the ground floor of what most people know as the United Way building downtown. I met a friend here for lunch, and again, was really surprised. I thought I was going to find a simple, nondescript cafeteria. But this is not just simple food. The tacos I had were really good. Very tasty and hand-crafted chicken, pork, and beef selections. I had the trifecta. Good stuff! The menu apparently changes daily. And the food is fresh and freshly made. The grill also does all the other, «normal» things you’d expect of a grill(burgers & such). But they also do some really nice sandwiches – again with some focus on flavor. One or two steps above the norm. Worth checking out. Holler if you want some company.

I love this place! Great patio! It is super convenient for anyone in the downtown area. It is the perfect spot for students of GSU to stop in and cram for a test, refresh with Starbucks, or grab some grub prior to class. They have a great salad bar and always have a lunch special and a soup as well as the weekly menu. The Starbucks coffee and quick breakfast saved my life on many occasions. I now work in the area and I stop by about three times a week. The deli sandwiches and wraps are great and the special is always something new. The friendly staff remembers me and greets me every time I walk in the door. I would recommend this place to anyone Great lunch, great breakfast, and super friendly staff.

The staff here is great. I love them. The food is pretty good and the price reasonable for me. You can wait in line awhile around lunchtime but that’s because this is the only place in the general area of 100 Edgewood Ave, which is the United Way building. It has dining area and outside dining is possible, too, in warmer months. I wouldn’t say this is a five star experience but if you’re in the area often, looking for a decent breakfast or lunch for a reasonable price and want to see smiling faces greeting you when you come in, you should try this spot.

I’m really surprised that this place hasn’t been reviewed yet, considering how it’s popular for folks that work in the building and Georgia State students. This café’s in the bottom floor of the United Way Building, operated by Sodexo. The food’s not exciting or splendid, and it’s expensive for the amount. They have a grill area, a salad area, soup, etc. I’ve had chicken fingers here before– rather bland and dry. The fries are also not flavorful(not even flavored with much salt). BUT… the saving factor of this place is that you can bring your lunch and eat in the dining area or outside. There’s lots of tables, and being cafeteria style, you don’t need to buy food in order to eat there. I come here every now & then with friends for lunch :) The outside area is especially nice, if it’s not too hot. Though I may not be coming for the food necessarily, I’ll be back to enjoy some fresh air and to get away from my desk. They offer breakfast and lunch, but no dinner.
