It wasn’t the best hotel bar I’ve been to, but it wasn’t half bad.

Staying at hotel and went to lobby while waiting on a co-worker. Ordered a beer and the bar staff asked me for a card to run a tab. This is only significant because of the employees tone and attitude when asking. Does Atlanta have that big of a problem with people running off on their tab that you have to get a card first? This is the Westin Hotel, right? Seems counter productive in hospitality. Stella Cost $ 6.00. Not to bad for major metropolitan area.

Nice atmosphere, 4-star service, solid bar menu and drink selection. I met a friend from grade school here because it was halfway for both of us. We ordered some calamari as an appetizer and I ordered the Coca Cola Brisket Sliders. I’m not a huge fan of sliders, the chicken wing, of sandwiches. However, these were spot on tender, smokey and sweet topped with a little crunchy slaw. Out server was a true pro from start to finish. Knowledgable on both the food and bar menu, she was spot on with her recommendations. The local IPA she suggested was packed with maximum hoppiness. It made me pucker. It was fun to catch up with an old classmate and I will definitely be back here when I’m in Hotlanta next.

The bar staff here were the only ones that showed a since of urgency.

If you aren’t familiar with the Westin it is considered an «upscale hotel». So be aware of paying an upscale price. However, I feel that the quality should be upscale as well, and this particular evening it wasn’t!

Excellent, up-scale offerings on the menu, moderately priced in the $ 19 – 28 range and excellent service by the waitstaff! I opted for the spare ribs, which were excellent, huge, and tasty. Accompanied by sweet potato fries and a bread selection that was great!!!
