Three and a half stars, really. I ordered the Truffle mac and cheese and it was just delicious! My husband ordered the bison burger, and said it was OK but he wouldn’t order it again. The atmosphere was OK, I loved the stained glass lighting and panes. The service was great. we were a large group of 10 and she didn’t flinch with single and double check requests. All in all, I would go back but I don’t know if the husband would.

Just had drinks before a movie. I’d swear the Irish Whiskey was watered down. It was a shot straight up. Even the Guinness Draft was watery.

The Devils on Horseback are on the Atlanta Convention and Visitor’s Bureau Signature 100 list so I hit up Meehans to check them out. Off the top, the dish didn’t sound like my usual cup of tea. It’s goat cheese stuffed dates wrapped in bacon on top of roasted beets with a red wine reduction sauce. I guess bacon makes everything great because it’s really damn good!!! Whenever I’m at an Irish place I usually either get a reuben or shepherds pie. This time I went with the reuben but I probably should have gone with the shepherds pie. There was nothing special about it.

Good drinks and bartender. Had to leave as women’s bathroom was disgusting. Feces on the floor. Spoke to greeter; she seemed unconcerned. Owner emailed and said problem taken care of. Will check out next time I’m by a Meehans. Very responsive owner. Odd that owner had to see Unilocal review to get situation resolved. Where was the management team?

YAY! i love this place! It’s right in atlantic station so it’s in the middle of all of the fun. The food, drinks, and atmosphere here is great. I came here by accident one day because all of the other restaurants nearby had really long waits. I have been here twice on busy nights and twice the waits were not crazy long. I ordered the meatloaf with mashed potatoes the first time i cam and this is my favorite! I also had the burgers on my second visit, which were also delicious. So far the meatloaf is my favorite. The nachos and the calamari were also good appetizers to try too. Coming back here!

We did our company happy hour. Three hours(we left after two). Our server comes every 20 – 30 minutes. Most have been out of drinks for 45 mins. He brings three drinks and says that’s all his fingers can handle. He’s taken drink orders and NEVER brought them twice. One coworker never got her drink at all after an hour, then told they don’t have it. Our owner gets the wrong drink. After trying to order appetizers with seven of us– he stopped us from ordering, saying«that’s all his wavelength can handle». We were all starved, but couldn’t get food. We spend thousands at these. But not tonight. Never again here– shame that it’s down the street. Honestly, it’s not the restaurants fault(although the Manager avoided asking us how things were as well). Definitely not the Vinings Meehan’s.

The Devils Horseback app and the Brussels sprouts were amazing. Delicious and good for you. Well, admittedly yes their is bacon. But it’s wrapped around a date filled with goat cheese and sitting on a beer slice. So that’s healthy eating in my book, in moderation of course.

This location of Meehan’s Public House can be found in Atlantic Station between Café Nineteen and Z-Gallerie by Central Park. This is a woody, dark and wonderfully moody Irish Pub concept that provides viands including various beers(bitters) and pub-styled food. I’ve had the occasion to visit this location on several occasions — generally I go to the older location in Sandy Springs(they have an awesome deck to enjoy the warm evenings) but this one isn’t half bad at all. This place is all atmosphere and pleasant conversation with good service and awesome drink. There are a few MeetUp groups to which I’m a member that have reserved sections of Meehan’s for their various shenanigans(I’m using the tongue-in-cheek version of the term here so don’t take it the wrong way). Generally a draft of bitters or two are provided and maybe some apps while you network with other technology people. Of course the main reason you go to Meehan’s is for the drink, but there are some decent items on the menu. I’ve really very fond of the crispy pub chips and sweet potato fries, but try not to eat too many to reserve the calories for the beer. I’d be even fatter if I indulged on every occasion. I’m also a fan of their beery onion rings. For food, I try to stick with more«traditional» pub offerings like the bangers-and-mash or shepard’s pie but have been known to order a burger or two. Prices are a bit on the high side but that’s typical of location and style of the place — seems you have to pay extra for a little culture. My favorite on the menu is the fish-and-chips, appropriately made with cod — I’ve always received to delicious pieces and plank-style fries. (also posted to my blog is much longer form)

Visiting Atlanta for a conference, so we stopped at Meehan’s Public House to grab some dinner. I ordered the 101 Meatloaf, and a cup of chili. My friends got the smokehouse burger, shepherd’s pie, and skinflint’s chili. The atmosphere was great, we were seated at a large booth that afforded some privacy. Although I only ordered water, my friends’ beers were great(crispin and black velvet). The black velvet in particular was interesting and complex. The food arrived at our table in about 20 min. Although it was quick, it really would have been more appropriate for the soup to come out before the meal. The chili was very sweet, with larger chunks of tomato, pepper, and onion. It came with a big chunk of cheddar cheese on top, which was delicious. I opted out of the sour cream. The chili was cooked very well, had a great consistency and was nice and hot. I don’t personally like sweet chili, but prefer a more balanced chili. It was still tasty, but a bit too sweet for me, and I would have enjoyed a little heat(not spicy at all). The meatloaf was nice. I ordered it as the menu said it was made with beef, bison, and Italian sausage. It was moist and tender, but I actually would have preferred a hint of sweetness here, and found it a little bland. There was only a very small amount of gravy. The mashed potatoes and green beans were delicious. I also tried a bite of my friend’s shepherd pie, which was amazing and much more to my taste. Overall, I really wish that I’d ordered the shepherds pie instead, although mine was fine. My other friend loved the smokehouse burger and ate every crumb. The french fries were huge and delicious. Finally, we tried the Napa valley cheesecake and the whisky bread pudding. The bread pudding was tasty, and served with ice cream and caramel sauce. Not the best I’ve ever had, but good. The cheesecake was delicious, with a layer of chocolate on top and a layer of chocolate cake on the bottom. Some strawberries served with it provided a nice textural element and some tartness to contrast with the sweetness of the cake. I thought it was very good! Unfortunately, there was a mix up when we were trying to pay. My friends opted to pay the overage, but I was able to talk to the waitress and get the correct check for my order. Overall, I had a pleasant experience and would return again, but probably order something other than the meatloaf.

Great atmosphere, great place to grab a drink or a shepherds pie. The 101 meatloaf is incredible. Pair it with a Black Velveteen.

I truly adore Meehans. And this location is currently down the street from me and located in Atlantic Station. So… it’s perfect! Offers indoor and outdoor seating, tons of TV’S(if you’re the sports type), delicious food and amazing service. I have been to this location about a dozen times and never have I ever had bad service! I have liked everything I have had off the menu, except the chicken fingers, but… it was a fluke that I had even tried it because it wasn’t even mine! Haha My favorite thing that I order 9 times out of 10 are the Devils on Horseback! Dates stuffed with goat cheese, wrapped in bacon and then baked and laid atop perfect slices of beet. It’s soo damn good! I crave this amazingness! Meehan’s is great for families, friends, and romantic outings. And an all around staple in this chick’s diet :)

The décor is wonderful. It has elements of an old cathedral — dark yet has grand decorations all about. I love the feel of the place and the seatings they have. Pretty cool décor. However, I can’t fully give it more than three stars just because it was a bit pricey for the kind and amount of beer we had — with tip, it was $ 10 for a glass of beer … and although it was a craft beer, the beer was local and it wasnt really anything special if you consider how much local craft beer is out there nowadays … All in all, the place is cool, but that tab isnt.

Why do I always forget that you’re here, Meehan’s? You are o-so-tasty! While the space is kinda dark, and dare say grimy, and smelled of malt vinegar this past time I went, I really enjoy you food! –Smokehouse Burger: what great beefy flavor, cooked perfectly to my likely! It was juicy and super flavorful – yum! –Onion Rings: the batter is a bit too thick for my likely, but freshly made, piping hot, and super crunchy! –Shepard’s Pie: I LOVE shepards pie and think this version is pretty solid, though not the best I’ve ever had. The gravy is flavorful and meat and veggies abundant, but I wish the potatoes were a fluffier and the overall dish stuck in the oven for some toastiness and crisp. But I’d totes order this again –Chocolate Cheesecake Dessert thingy: obliviously not the real name – it was overall a tasty one! Chocolate mousse, traditional NY cheesecake, and chocolate cake all paired together really well without being overly sweet. However, the chocolate cake WAS a little dry by itself. –Great rotation of seasonal beer as well :) I will have to remember to visit again!

Every time we’re in Atlantic Station we always end up walking past this place. After finally trying it out, I have no idea why we kept walking by. I ordered the Meehan burger with mashed potatoes and my hubby ordered the meatloaf. Portion sizes were decent and I actually had to cut mine in half to even get started chowing down! I’m in love with the mashed potatoes and wish I had their recipe… My fiancée downed his food in about the time it took me to finish cutting my sandwich in half. The gravy made the meal in my opinion. We both had drinks as well, I forget what he had but I had an Irish Iced tea and loved it. Overall, good atmosphere, wonderful waitress and awesome food and drinks. We will be returning!

My husband and I were waiting for my son and nephew who were watching a movie and shared a hamburger and and sweet water draft Beer and a Coke Zero. The waitress brought the hamburger and the sweet potatoes fries already split which was nice gesture . Service is good and has good atmosphere. Food and beer selection was good. We were watching football in the meantime. Nice choice in the Atlantic Station

So I guess I will work on reviewing all of the Meehan’s I have gone to. I’ve predominantly been to this one for the Canada Day party that goes on the first weekend in July. Before my friend and I figured it out, it used to be up at the one in Sandy Springs, but now it’s here. You pay to get in, but people can still get in to eat here, as was obvious this past year given World Cup games were going on. The cover is really more for the bands that come on later so I guess we really shouldn’t be paying the cover because we never are really there for that, we come to eat the Canada inspired menu. Yes, we really came this past year because food. Also Unibroue. They overprice it A LOT but whatever, how else are you going to have butter tarts I guess? The thing that sucks though is the prices are high, and then the food is served in disposable baskets. So you pay to get in then pay for that. Needless to say I really don’t think we’re gonna do the whole pay to get in thing anymore since we never stay for the entertainment aspect of it. This is probably my favorite Meehan’s design-wise though. It’s got the same general dimly lit, dark wood thing going on but it just seems to pull it off the best. Downtown is a close second though. Also I believe this Meehan’s is the Tottenham bar so if you want to watch soccer really early you can do that here.
