This place is always on point. It’s like a modern Cracker Barrel. Really good food and good quality. Great service and great atmosphere.

We stopped by this location on the recommendation of a friend for a quiet, convenient place near the Perimeter Mall where our 7 month old would not be woken by loud noise and wouldn’t bother people if she decided to make loud noises herself. For that, this place was basically five stars. For the other features that more diners would care about, however, this was more of a 3 star place. It’s good, it has a clear theme in the menu with a range of dishes that can be done fairly well, but it’s not the place you dream about or plan major celebrations around. My wife, our daughter, my brother-in-law, grandmother-in-law, and I ate here around six on a Sunday afternoon. We were seated with no wait at a six person booth to accommodate our car seat, and the waitress came quickly for a drink order. We also put in a request for the meatball appetizer, which was probably the best appetizer selection available, although the artichoke dip looked interesting as well. I had the half chicken, which was probably the tastiest thing at the table. My wife’s reuben was okay, but switching sauerkraut for coleslaw was a poor choice in my opinion. My brother-in-law’s sandwich looked pretty standard, as did the Cobb salad my grandmother-in-law got. The complimentary bread was also quite good, but the muffins they brought out(without offering a choice) were carrot/raisin/nut muffins. I don’t care for carrot cake and my wife has a tree nut allergy, so that took us both by surprise, especially when the waitress gave us a list of five options available for a bread on the side. Oh well. The wait staff was pretty good. They weren’t overly attentive, and we had to wait on our extra napkins for a while, and my tea glass stayed empty a lot of the meal. When we got the check, we went from four to three stars. The price for the quality of the food/experience is pretty high. My sweet tea was over $ 3, and they only refilled it once! That’s quite a hike to me. If you’re in the area and need somewhere that’s not super loud or pretentious, this would be a good stop, but check the prices before you commit, because it might be higher than you expect based on the quality.

OMG! This is my 3rd bad experience at this place in the course of 2 years time. We were a large party of 10 with a reservation this last time(reservations every other time too, both large parties, 8 and 12 respectively) but this was by far the worst. The sever was S U P E R rude to one of our teammates as soon as she opened her mouth, he yells, «oh language barrier» as if she wasn’t speaking English. It was very rude. He also took forever to get our drink orders and when he did, they were incorrect. He yelled at us to be sure we announced ahead of time if we were ordering from a certain part of the menu. This is after he asked if anyone of us had been there before, and since less than half had been there it would seem he would have mentioned that before hand. We gave him our drink and food orders immediately since we were a large party we knew that it would take some time. We wanted to make the process as easy as possible. Every. Single. Plate. was either overcooked, cold, or incorrect. It was quite impressive actually. When he was informed by one of our party that her food was wrong, he said, «oh well, the kitchen did that, not me.» and sashayed away. I was stunned and embarrassed as this is a very quiet timid person. The Meatloaf looked like Salisbury steak, and it was just as flat and hard. The Salmon was over cooked(and cold). The sourdough burger looked good, but it had bacon on it, which made it inedible for the person who it. I ordered a side salad along with a burger, but it was cold.(The salad looked good, but I didnt eat it). It took over an hour and a half til the food started coming and and all of it didn’t come out without at least 10 to 15 minutes stretches. It was insane. Even the muffins were cold. I was floored because the place was not packed at all. I spoke to a manager and he canceled the bill but only because half of us didnt get to eat or even see our food and the other half was simply inedible. We managed to keep a smile on our faces, but we were starving and angry when we left. We did not get an aplogy from the waiter, he was only defensive when I was discussing the matter with the manger(which I thought was unprofessional.) I don’t understand how this place gets decent reviews. I have done it THREE times in a large group. But maybe that is the issue?

I love their all day breakfast menu. Always a fan of their lemon poppey seed griddlecakes. Definitely recommend. If you are a waffle fan they also have the option for it in a waffle.

WHACK, inedible food. I ordered the meatloaf and it didn’t even taste like meat. My husband ordered chicken Parmesan and the noodles resembled rubber. Save your stomach and choose something else nearby, you’ll thank me later.

Where to start? The hair in the water glass? The undisclosed up-charge for a croissant? The room temperature turkey platter? Or, perhaps the server losing my debit card? Mimi, you lost two customers tonight.

Mimi’s is very inconsistent. One day you go its ok, the next time its not. The service is poor and they always try to give away muffins when they goof up. I placed an order for salmon online only to be told they were out of salmon that day. I wont go back. You never quite know what you will get when you go to mimi’s.

My girlfriend and I wanted to try something new for brunch and Eat 24 pointed us in this direction. We didn’t make reservations, but our wait time was only about 5 – 10 minutes. After the host sat us, no server came by to help us nor anyone in the surrounding tables for about 10 minutes, until I flagged the host down to inform her. 1st red flag. Once the server arrived, we placed our order. I ordered the bacon & apple waffles with scrambled eggs and bacon. My girlfriend ordered the salmon omelette with roasted potatoes. When placing my order, the waittress didn’t know they even served bacon & apple waffles, telling me that I wanted banana nut instead, until I showed her the menu. 2nd red flag The food arrived and looked wonderful. Our mouths were salivating over the aromas, until we took our first bites. My girlfriend accurately described this meal as decorated hospital food. The bacon and apple, rather than being baked into the waffle, just sat lazily on top. My girlfriend’s salmon, rather than being mixed into the omelette, just lay across the egg. This place had such potential and squandered every ounce. I don’t recommend Mimi’s Café unless you are a senior citizen

Great food. Great service. I’ve been here several times and the service has been consistent and the food delicious. I am a little shocked at the other reviews. Give this place a shot. They’ve been around for a while and I don’t think that’s an accident.

Mimi’s is a mediocre breakfast & brunch place. It has a New Orleans style feel to the restaurant. The restaurant is huge too. Even though it had a lot of fun, old-school, French style kitsch, it all seemed artificial. It felt like a corporate restaurant, not a restaurant owned by someone who is passionate about their restaurant. Even though the whole décor had a New Orleans style to it, the menu was your standard American breakfast. There was nothing exciting about it. You got your omelettes, your eggs Benedict, and you have your breakfast burritos. I’m sure the people of New Orleans traditionally ate breakfast tacos for breakfast. I ordered the steak and eggs. It was pretty bad. I ordered the steak medium-rare. It came out medium well. There was barely any pink to the meat. The eggs was done over easy, like I asked. But if they screwed that up, they would have no hope. The steak was just a steak. It had no seasoning at all, no salt, no pepper – nothing. It was just a piece of steak. It was bland as a hockey puck. Their eggs also had no seasonings. Their potatoes were unseasoned too. Do they even make an effort to make their food? I was curious why the waiter asked if I wanted any A-1, Ketchup, and tabasco for my dish. Now I know why. I needed ketchup and tabasco to put any flavor to this dish. The best tasting thing there was the water I was drinking. This place sucks. I don’t know how else I can say it.

We had a breakfast meeting there this morning & it was a great place to talk & it was reasonably priced. The food was good, tasty and light. I had been a number of times and had the Eggs Benedict(which is always good) but went for the crepes which didn’t disappoint. The atmosphere was fun — we were in the New Orleans room. The service was good and no challenges.

I went to this restaurant last week for the first time and really enjoyed my meal. They give you complimentary muffins if it’s your first time visiting the restaurant. This is going to be one of my favorite all time places to eat!

Had a good breakfast with the family. The portions are quite generous and good. It was a great alternative to the traditional breakfast outlets. Give them a try!

It was pretty quiet when I got there for lunch. Therefore, service was very efficient and everyone was friendly. What is this bread basket that every keeps talking about? Is it complimentary? If so, I surely did not get it. Ordered the Hickory Bacon Cheddar Burger with fries. Everything was very good that I cleaned out the whole plate. The highlight was when the chef himself came out to asked us how everything was. When I told him it was my first time there, he came out with a box of 2 free muffins on the house. How awesome was that?

Mimi’s Café is located at in the same live/dine complex anchored by Target. Also available are Taco Mac and Outback nearby or a string of smaller restaurants a block over. This area is one of my favorites due to the proximity to my old office and now to my new. I’ve had several dinners and lunches at Mimi’s and in general the experience has been mediocre to good. The servers here, when they care, can be exceptional. While the food isn’t spectacular, it’s filling and you can generally find something on the menu to make your own. Well, that’s if you’re visiting on a regular week-day or evening. Now for Mimi’s Café’s darker side. This past Mother’s Day we called two weeks in advance to acquire a reservation, knowing that the day would be busy — this was for a party of 8 at 1:00PM. We thought that this would be a good compromise time after the initial brunch. The entire party arrived about a quarter to 1:00 and we were told that there was a wait of about 30 minutes. While this seemed a little excessive, we figured that the restaurant got a bit more of a crowd than usual and it still seemed worthwhile to wait. We added a couple of Bloody Marys from the bar and of course that made things a bit better — also someone came out with some spice cake for us to munch on while we waited. After about an hour, we were both getting impatient and very hungry, but we figured that by now everyplace nearby was probably just as packed — and indeed the sea of humanity had hardly subsided. There were still parties standing around everywhere, bleeding outside waiting for tables. We were informed that the previous group are sitting longer than usual. The staff were running around not knowing what to do about the crowds still waiting to be seated. We were told that we had the next table. 30 minutes later we were finally seated and greeted by a server, who started off very well until she found out it was the wrong table. 10 minutes later we finally got a server who managed to get our drink order to the table(pretty much all water). By now, approaching 3:00PM we finally got our food order into the kitchen and the crowd had started to diminish. A bread basket hit the table and disappeared before anyone could blink. The empty water glasses should have been a clue, but I think we became resigned to whatever would happen at this point. When the food started to arrive, about half the table was served and then the food runners seemed lost. 10 more minutes before the rest of the table was served — we ate quickly and asked for our check. Of course the muffins that came with the meal were never served — once this was pointed out we were given two boxes to take with us. Surprisingly, our waiter was both charming, well informed and for the most part, very good. I think during a regular day and shift, he would be exceptional. I felt bad for the staff, but really felt worse for my family(most in-laws) as what should have been an exceptional day was made craptastic. Having had days like this in the past(I worked 10 years in restaurants), I know that some things are beyond your control — I certainly don’t blame any of the staff. However, let an exceptionally low rating be a warning to this company for future, similar events. I think Mimi’s would have been better served with a first-come, first-served policy on Mother’s Day — I doubt if we were the only customers entirely dissatisfied with the experience. No one in our party will be coming back. (longer version published on on my food blog)

Excellent service and no crowd on a Tuesday afternoon. First is the bread basket, with mini french breads and slices of carrot raisin loaf along with butter, great to munch on. I ordered a salad, which I forget the name of it, but it had bacon, blue cheese, walnuts, cranberries, strawberries, grilled chicken in balsamic vinegar dressing, along with a blueberry muffin. Delicious! The dressing comes tossed in the salad, next time I’ll have it on the side. My date had the grilled cheese, and it was perfectly crisp with 3 different types of cheeses oozing out.

It took about an hour for our food. Then I ordered the chicken cordon blue sandwich on croissant and it came out on the soft baguette. Not good. Oh and the bacon balsamic was totally weird and not good. The server was nice.

I went to breakfast at Mimi’s. There was no wait and the food was delicious. Our server(Daniel) was attentive and friendly. We were in a rush, and he was very accommodating and communicative. I ordered the Santa Fe Omelette — 3 eggs, cilantro, jalapeño, tomato, onion, and tortilla strips with guacamole and spicy tomato sauce. The omelette was filling, flavorful, and delicious. The guacamole complimented the spicy tomato sauce well. I would have given 5 stars, but the potatoes were not flavorful or crispy and they didn’t look like they did in the picture(I hate that!) The décor was very comfortable and makes you feel like you are at home. Overall, delicious food for a good price. Nice for weekday mornings when there is no wait. I’d come to this place again to try lunch or dinner.

I went to breakfast at Mimi’s during a recent trip to Atlanta and I left without experiencing anything notable except poor customer service and mediocre food. The hostess stared and did not greet my party of two upon entering the restaurant. She looked as if customers were a nuisance and that she would rather be anywhere but at work. FYI Management: you may want to monitor who is placed at the Hostess station because they set the tone for your customer’s experience. I almost wanted to turn around but we decided to stay and asked the hostess to be seated. The waitress who took our order initially appeared friendly and courteous. However, she was missing in action most of our time at the restaurant and we had to flag down other servers for service. The restaurant was not even half full but the service was so delayed. Once the food arrived the male server literally reached over me without warning(or saying excuse me) and kind of slammed the plates on the table and walked off before we could say anything. I had the Marseille Omelette that consists of a open-faced egg white omelette with sautéed spinach, mushrooms, caramelized onions, fresh tomatoes, goat cheese, and a small cup of fresh-cut fruit. It was satisfying but there was nothing memorable about it that would make me want to return to eat at Mimi’s. My friend ordered the Pomme Lyonnaise Benedict that consists of potato galettes topped with hickory-smoked bacon, sautéed spinach, sliced tomatoes, poached eggs, traditional hollandaise, and a small cup of fresh-cut fruit. Overall, I am certain that I will not be back for more Mimi’s because nothing was inviting or special about it period.
