Update — Noon has CLOSED . Its very sad to loose a great place like this in the sea of crap that is Midtown.

Nice establishment. Modern décor. Two hours free parking in the adjacent deck.(ask for a validated ticket before leaving). I had«The Stack» with a fried egg. It was good! I ate it with a knife and fork since the biscuit was smaller than the other items between it and it could get messy! Currently, there is a FourSquare promotion for first time visitors! Show the check-in to receive a free medium coffee.

I really want to like this place. There needs to be more of this type of thing in Atlanta. We have to find a way to make cosmopolitan, not equal to chicken wings, not equal to chicken fingers, lite fare GOOD in Atlanta. These café’s dot every urban metropolitan city across of America. Why not Atlanta? I want to see menu items I am not accustomed too… bring me flavors I’ve never tasted… sandwich combinations I have never seen before… lets move past Jason’s deli Out with the brewpub/sports bar in with Noon… I get it! But the food has to be good! I don’t think this café is going to survive the southern palate. I get small portions but there is no excuse for NO flavor… Bianco & Coppa and Truffle Fries Just because you serve coke in a bottle and Pellegrino… doesn’t make your food good. Maybe I should have just had the burger… but sort of defeats the purpose. I’ll give this place one more try because they validate parking and I love they way this place looks. I will have to run to it because it closes at 3pm

My Noon midtown visit made me sad and let me tell you why. LONG sob story go… a couple of weeks ago I left work early because of a lingering sickness. On the way home I decided to stop and get a petsit out of the way. After said petsit, I needed some food since my house held none and food always makes me feel better. I was on the way to Noon for a quick sandwich pick up kind of trip so that I could get home and in bed ASAP. I hit one of Atlanta’s fabulous potholes just down the street and wound up severely damaging my tire. Since I was dressed in work attire and sick I decided to call AAA to change my tire(actually I don’t know how to change one, but being sick and dressed makes a much better excuse). While waiting for the tow truck to come, I walked over to Noon to put my order in. The place has a nice soothing spa type look to it. The 2 soups offered for the day didn’t sound good so I went for the pole caught tuna salad on ciabatta. I walked back to my car to enjoy my sandwich in silence. The pole caught tuna was delicious. It had a sort of tuna nicoise type of feel with it’s green beans, potatoes, and olives. The bread it was on was good as well. If I worked closer I might frequent this place, but I don’t. And after I waited 30 minutes for the tow truck driver to change my tire, spent $ 220 for a new tire and all the trimmings, and then had my car rear-ended at the car shop I probably have to say that despite how good the tuna was, I really wished I had decided to skip my lunch at Noon, not that it’s Noons fault.

My boyfriend and came here after going to see the Dali exhibit at the High Museum of Art. We were in the area and still had an hour left on our parking meter so we figured, why not stay for lunch in Midtown? We actually found this place via Unilocal(thanks guys!) and I absolutely fell in love with it. I don’t think i’ve ever met nicer people in my life. The staff was so nice and helpful. They seemed to genuinely like being there and it’s just nice to feed off that energy, you know? Aside from the amazing staff, the food was just delicious. I got the chicken salad sandwich which was a GREAT life choice. I think it really was the best chicken salad I’ve ever had. It wasn’t too heavy on the mayo, which I LOVED because it really highlighted the quality of the chicken that they used. My boyfriend got the caprese sandwich and that looked absolutely phenomenal too! He seemed to enjoy it a lot because he ate it all! :) I was pretty much eye raping his sandwich the whole time I was eating mine because it looked THAT good. The next time you find yourself in Midtown, stop here! You’ll be greeted by great people and a great lunch is guaranteed. I can’t wait to go back!

Stopped in here, this place was awesome. Cool location and a free parking garage for up to two hours in midtown which is very rare. The service was great and our food came out fast. The waiter was cool and made some great suggestions. I had the trout and pork belly which at $ 15 is very reasonably priced and it was a good sized portion. My wife had an eggplant panini($ 9) which was also awesome, I wish their menu was a bit more extensive but i’m looking back to coming back to try more!

One of the few places whose tagline about their fare is actually dead on the money. «Rustic sandwiches and soups». Not to mention fresh and delicious in a well thought out modern setting. Went here for lunch last week and the reviews about their chicken salad sandwiches are right; they’re the best. So good in fact that I went to buy a tarragon plant the next day to put in my garden just so I had some to make Noon’s recipe(or at least what I could gather it was). Great fresh simple food with lots of flavor; fair prices; good service; cool atmosphere. What more could you ask for! P. S. Try the chocolate spread for desert. It was surprisingly amazing.

Spendy? True. But nearly everything was absolutely delicious, and I accepted a bribe of 50% off via Scoutmob, so the final check made me happy. Ignore the postal address and head for 1050 Crescent between 11th and 12th. It’s at street level, right next to the entrance to the parking deck(free for 2 hours), and has a back entrance for wheelchair users who don’t feel like going past the gate arm and out to the sidewalk. The décor is relaxing and minimalist in an IKEAesque way, though only some of the hardware has a Swedish pedigree.(Boxy stacked white bookshelves with wicker baskets, a mile from Atlantic Station, and they’re not from IKEA? Amazing.) I had a three-cheese panino dressed with truffle oil; it reminded me of similar sandwiches from Toscano & Sons but was served with a tower of long, elegant fries also bearing hints of truffle. For dessert, we shared a lemon semifreddo topped with pearls of watermelon-pulp caviar. The watermelon caviar had a sour taste that I usually associate with melons past their prime, but that didn’t keep me from enjoying the rest of it. We also shared an affogato made by pouring Counter Culture espresso over an ice cream made with big chunks of cinnamon doughnut from Sublime Doughnuts. This is one of the tastiest desserts I have ever had, and reminds me that I must check out Sublime soon. The service was very good, including several allergen checks throughout the ordering process. I had seen a Foursquare special(free coffee for your first checkin), but the server wasn’t aware of it, so I missed out. On the other hand, our desserts listed at $ 5 rang up at $ 4 even before the whopping discount, so I mustn’t complain too much. One surprise: if I’m not the only Moxy Früvous fan here, someone else will be equally astonished to learn that the cocktail called«The Last King of Spain» and made with Pisco was not, in fact, a reference to one of my favorite bands. It’s pure coincidence that they have fan-favorite songs called«Pisco Bandito» and«King of Spain»; the real story is much more interesting but I’ve already forgotten it, so ask Reggie when you go. I’ll be back at least once more for the brunch. If what y’all are saying is true, I can’t live with myself if I don’t try the biscuit.

I like Noon but I don’t love it. I think everyone seems to like it more than me so maybe I’m missing something. It’s OK but not at the top of my list. I went here once for lunch and had Tuscan tuna salad(or something like that), which was Italian tuna, fennel, cannellini beans, etc. It was fresh and pretty tasty but maybe a bit bland. I make a better one at home, I think. Maybe it needed more lemon or salt or something. It was just OK. I was struck by how the guy behind the counter was not very friendly and seemed annoyed that we were there but I got over it. My second visit was for Saturday brunch. I sat at the counter. I ordered an omelet which came with a side of potatoes and I also got an extra side of bacon. The omelet was good, the potatoes were good, and the bacon was small and not very crispy. Also, sitting at the counter, I could see that my food was up and ready to be served for at least 8 minutes before it was brought to me. The guy serving me actually kept going right by it and looking at it, and then ignoring it and letting it sit there. I was 5 feet away. I almost jumped over the counter to grab it myself. They do have liquor so I had a Bloody Mary. The drink mixer/server asked if I wanted celery and I said yes, so he gave it to me but left out the olive even though he had a giant jar of them open right next to him. And, when he served it he said«Let me know how it is. I don’t know. I don’t drink Bloody Marys», which did not instill confidence. The drink was OK. I wouldn’t go back here for the Bloody Marys. I guess the server was cordial enough but, again, I felt like he was bothered that I was there. And, when I asked for my check(after sitting there doing nothing for 10 minutes), he actually sort of huffed and said he’d get it and brought it back about 10 minutes later. I would not refuse to go here but I wouldn’t suggest it because the food is just OK and they don’t seem to really like me(which makes no sense because I’m super nice).

I have been to Noon a number of times and everytime I enjoy it just as much as the first time. My favorite sandwich is the roasted eggplant panino. It is the perfect balance of flavors and textures! I also like to order a cup of the smoked tomato soup and dip my sandwich into it… yum! The thing that stands out the most to me is the quality of the food at Noon. Most of the items are simple yet delicious because the ingredients are high quality. Anytime I am in Midtown for lunch, my first choice is Noon!

It’s nice when you’re reminded of the simple things that make you happy. Take my lunch at Noon: a prosciutto sandwich on fresh-baked bread, crispy sweet potato chips, a pickle and an ice cold Coca-Cola, made with sugar, in a glass bottle. Nothing fancy to see here. Minimal yet welcoming décor, bar seating and plenty of tables topped off with a simple menu of fresh sandwiches, soups and salads. All for prices that are pretty easy to swallow.

If I worked in midtown(instead of just living here) I’d be at this place all the time for lunch. Great sandwiches and all the people here are down to earth, I’d even go so far to say they’re sweet. Rare for everyone at place to be so nice. The interior is very similar to eating in one of those living room showrooms at Ikea and it works very well. Clean design with great light from floor to ceiling windows. Comfortable and beautiful. I had the chicken salad sandwich, and this was the best one I’ve ever had. It had arugula, sun dried tomatoes, mayo, and fresh tender chicken. Loved it! My gf had the grilled cheese and it reminded me of those ones from middle school, but with much better cheese. They’re open M-Sat until 3pm and we rolled in there on a Saturday about 2pm. Not too busy, but I imagine during the workweek they’re doing well. We even got a free donut at the end of the meal! Yay! and they were Sublime donuts! Even better! If you’re around here at lunchtime it’s a must eat! You won’t be disappointed.

Noon Midtown is where simplicity meets superb! Noon always looked *so cool* all those late, late nights on Crescent(RiRa or Front Page News, anyone?). Noon has been a lunch-only spot for quite some time and recently started serving breakfast. I would stare inside the windows and drool at the décor, knowing that whoever had the concept for the atmosphere of the place surely had a hand in the menu as well. Noon’s interior reminds me of SIP– very modern, clean, and IKEA-like. You will feel cool eating here. I know I did. Prior to eating at Noon, I was lucky enough to meet the muse of this place… Chef/Owner Katie Birmingham. What a sweetheart! It is so great to meet chefs that are passionate about their food. She was very kind to our group and was happy to chit-chat before and after. I had the special I’d been hearing about on Twitter, the Grilled Cheese. Today it was Mozzerella, Cheddar, and Sweet Onions for a cool $ 5.95. It was SO. GOOD. I wolfed that thing down in a matter of seconds! I also had a cup of the Smoky Tomato soup($ 3), which didn’t get much love from me after my first bite of grilled cheese. Lots of people at my table of 8 also had the soup and all commented on the very unique«smoky» taste. The soup was of the thicker variety; definitely a worthy«side» to your sandwich or get a bowl to make it your meal. I really wish they had a location closer to Downtown because I would go to this place at least once or twice a week. The prices are very reasonable, considering I pay the same price for this gourmet grilled cheese as I would for a craptastic burger or burrito in the food court of the building where I work. Yet, it’s not too far away and parking is very simple– making for some possible field trips from my office just to hit Noon up for lunch. Easily in and out of here in 30 mins. I try not to go to the same places over and over again, but this just may become an obsession for me.

This place reminds me of breakfast/lunch places in NY or San Fran. Very cute minimalist atmosphere with stark white tables and chairs and wood paneling in the back. My first couple of time I went, I had the Croque Monsieur(sp?) w/ham and yummy cheese on top. My friend had the Stack which is fried chicken, a fried egg, cheese, bacon, and gravy and stacked on a very large biscuit! It was heaven :) My only problem with Noon is that they don’t have any pre-made sandwiches or salads for people on the go. They a deli-like case, but nothing in it.

After walking around Piedmont Park, Leslie and I decided to check out Noon for a quick breakfast. I’ve been meaning to check this place out for awhile now and I’m very happy to find a really good breakfast place near where I live in Midtown. First things first… the main reason to come here are the BISCUITS! The biscuits are huge and have the nice crispy outside and soft hot chewy butter goodness that you would expect in a biscuit. I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese biscuit and it was one of the best I have ever had. Leslie got a sausage biscuit but also ordered a side of their preserves. The preserves can only be described as UH-MAZING and I could really use the preserves as a condiment and add it to everything I eat… it’s THAT good! I also got a side of fruit that was dressed in mint and honey, which was a nice touch. Staff is really nice and helpful and everything is so clean! Definitely need to starve myself for a few days to try their signature breakfast sandwich that has an egg, bacon, cheese, fried chicken and sausage gravy all smacked in-between one of those fantastic biscuits! Yum!

Like Katherine F, I feel the need to return and update my review now that I’m eating here at least 2 times a week when not traveling for work. I’ve completely fallen for Noon, and with good reason. Increasingly-biased praise to follow: It started with the coffee. I love good coffee, and couldn’t believe there wasn’t any to be found when I moved to midtown. No more! Counter Culture fits the bill, and what’s more, they had the Counter Culture team in house a few weeks ago doing an awesome ’round the globe taste test. Second, croissants. Bad croissants are ubiquitous and offensive. Weird off flavors, oiliness instead of butteriness, and stale croissants abound in this city. Not so at Noon. Baked good quality carries over to the sandwiches, which actually have improved since the opening. The prosciutto baguette is both larger and on tastier bread, and the knock-your-socks-off meatloaf sandwich I ordered yesterday — complete with cheese, bacon, and this highly addictive tomato jam — came on a toothsome, meat-juice-sopping ciabatta roll. The soup specials, which vary day to day and are posted on Noon’s Twitter feed, have also outperformed my first two visits. The creamy poblano chile soup is no friend of my spice-sensitive mouth, but delicious. But the best I’ve had so far has been a smoky tomato soup. Once it gets colder, I forsee myself developing a serious soup habit here. Finally, Noon will begin opening on the weekend starting this very week, from 8AM-3PM. The breakfast items here will beat the pants off of most competitors within walking distance, with a better price, a shorter wait, awesome coffee, superior bacon, and minimal see-and-be-seen brunchitude. The only downside for some of you will be that there’s no patio. But otherwise, give it a shot!

Walking in to Noon was like taking a big breath of fresh air: it was so clean, and simple, and airy, and… non chain feeling. I’ve been so disappointed to see so many chains go in to the new 1010 building, while all I wanted were more places like Noon. They’re offering up something that’s rare around here: quality lunch and breakfast. Not greasy, not too expensive, not crazy long wait times. I liked that they had rotating specials in addition to their already full menu. I tried the tomato basil soup(special of the day) and the chicken salad sandwich. The tomato soup was a little plain: I’d rank it below average for the tomato soups of my past. The chicken salad, however, was great. Fresh, not overly mayonnaised, and on really tasty bread with a big slice of tomato. Heaven. Soup, sandwich, and a coke for $ 12… not too shabby. Really quick free wifi and friendly employees: I’ll definitely be back to hang out with my laptop for a few hours, but I’ll be sure to avoid the lunch rush as my guess is things get pretty crazy up in here.

Since I now eat here 2 – 3 times per week, I thought it was worth providing an update. Love. LOVELOVELOVE. I have a rotating selection of favorite sandwiches, which now includes the turkey with mozzarella and cranberry relish on country bread and the pesto chicken salad, but my ultimate fave is still the delicious peperonata panini. I’ve also tried breakfast several times and highly recommend the delicious scrambled egg baguette with scallion pesto and the yummy, creamy grits(add bacon and cheddar — mmm). They also make one of the best capuccinos in town, and I’m a convert to Counter Culture coffee — deelish. The prosciutto baguette mentioned in my prior post seems to have grown in size, and I always seem to see at least as many men as women dining here, so I retract my previous statement about this being a ladies spot. The staff is warm and friendly. Why haven’t you been here yet — go, GO!

Okay, pet peeve. Restaurant/bar employees that believe the heating and air is for their comfort and not the customers. Mom, sis, and I are the ONLY customers in the joint and when we complained that it was cold and windy(yes, windy, their air con is very very good!) we got no reaction but, «hey, maybe its less breezy at that table!» Gee, thanks. Mom is the one who got Treehouse an extra star for the best chicken salad she had EVER eaten. Well, mom didn’t like this version much. My meatloaf sandwich was okay, and sis had the grilled eggplant. But having a restaurant is not just about making sandwiches, its about making someone feel welcome, and appreciated. I did not feel at all welcome there. Or my business appreciated. Won’t be back. Piola is great tho!
