Great place to grab a late night bite. The bar lounge has a nice ambiance and the servers are really accommodating. We decided to try after a charity event that didn’t offer food lol, first time for everything. We were very pleasantly surprised for a hotel restaurant. We had the duck Mac n cheese, chartruderie, cauliflower soup, scallops and flat bread chicken pizza. All delicious. The cauliflower soup was surprisingly yummy, duck Mac n cheese was out of this world and the scallops were perfectly cooked and seasoned. Would def come back if in the area

We love this restaurant. Always serving healthy food. Good choice of meals if you’re calorie conscious. We had lunch today and had a slow cooked herbed organic chicken, an all natural turkey sandwich, and a bowl of berries for dessert. Feels very light and happy afterwards. Service also very good.

Service was good, filet was less than optimal. Came out cold and didn’t get better. However, they did comp the steak even though I didn’t ask for the comp. And — I tipped on what the check would have been without the company cause the service was good — go Kelsey. Will give them another chance next time.

Being from out of town the plan was to stop at Onyx, the hotel bar for a cocktail while planning where to go for dinner. The unique Onyx cocktail convinced me that I was already positioned at a place that knew how to CREATE. We gave dinner a go and were so glad we did. The shrimp bisque was simply amazing. Next time I will get it through room service so I can bury my whole face in the bowl without shame… it was that good! I followed it up with the black bean and quinoa burger… A little crumbly and dry. Wouldn’t recommend that so much but the great service made up for it. All in all an enjoyable night and a solid restaurant with a lovely view!

Great hotel bar for the service and the drinks! The staff is so incredibly friendly and full of fantastic recommendations of what to do/see/where to eat in the area, look for MacKenzie to chat with — she is wonderful! The antipasto plate was definitely impressive, a great appetizer to share with friends, and the crafted cocktails were great along with their wide selection of other spirits. We will definitely be back! Cheers!

The Onyx at the Grand is a good spot to stop if you need a quick bite to eat or a beverage or two in a surprisingly friendly, unpretentious setting inside the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead. Our bartender was extremely friendly, without being overbearing. It was also evident that he was in a good mood, because his family was there at the bar while we were there are well. Now you don’t have to sit at the bar while you’re here, although it is quite nice. There are also various high top tables and lower, more lounge-y seats that provide a serene view towards the Japanese Garden behind the floor-to-ceiling windows. It’s a nice atmosphere that you might not expect for a Hyatt bar. There’s actually quite a large variety of items from which to choose on the menu; full menu served at the bar and at the tables. They offer many local, organic, and responsibly-raised food choices, such as polyphosphate-free shrimp, in their Red Romaine & Spinach Salad, which I had a really enjoyed. My husband had the BBQ Pork Sandwich, which was served on a delicious brioche bun, and had a nice hint of local Sweetwater 420 beer in the BBQ sauce. Oh, and the sweet potato fries were also nice. If it’s potent potables you seek, the Onyx won’t disappoint. I didn’t have any adult beverages while I was there, but there are no fewer than 4 pages of cocktails, beers, and wines on the menu. There is also a companion coffee bar with a full selection of coffee drinks and pastry, muffins, etc. So, if you don’t have time to venture out into Buckhead for a bite to eat, you want something quick that also doesn’t feel like a compromise, the Onyx is the way to go, especially if you’re a guest at the hotel.
