Fantastic food and the friendliest most attentive staff in the entire ATL airport! Absolutely one of, if not the best, restaurants in the ATL airport. My favorite place to get good food and great service.

Waited 20 minutes. No one would help me. One woman said from a distance«have you been helped» and I said no and she proceeded to get people’s bills, bus tables, and anything but take my order. Won’t make that mistake twice.

Superb. Cuban sandwich was unusual in that the pork was shredded and moist with jus rather than shredded. Sandwich not pressed. Like a Cuban meets French dip. Delicious. Also had Maduros also perfect. Might be the best food in the airport.

What! There’s a Papi’s in the airport? Seeing that sign excited me as I came through TSA. I love this place! There’s one on Ponce I frequently go to with friends and the food there is amazing. As for the food here… hmm. It isn’t that great. They don’t carry the full Papi’s menu from their other restaurants so my fav ropa veja wasn’t on the menu :(I ordered the fish tacos with a side of yellow rice and beans. The tacos were only ok and my rice was hard like i got the bottom of my pot maybe. Not good Papi! I love your food(at your other restaurants) but i probably won’t eat here again in the airport.

This place is excellent. Quick authentic Cuban and Caribbean food at a very affordable price(Especially for an airport). I had the traditional Cuban sandwich with a side of black beans and rice for $ 12. There were so many other things on the menu I’d like to try. I will definitely be back next time I’m passing through Atlanta.

Breakfast was a big thumbs up! A colleague and I were between flights this morning. Made our way to a terminal T gate and were excited to see Papis as a new dining option here. Were able to enjoy breakfast sandwiches on Cuban bread(tasty!) And Cuban espresso(wow). Mark this one as a regular stop at ATL. Dinner menu looked pretty good too.

Finally a good place to eat in the ATL airport! Located in ‘T’ terminal. Looks like it recently opened. Had lunch here and ordered the palomilla steak, maduros, rice, and empanadas. Everything was great. Reminded me of the cafes in Miami. Good flavor. They had other hot foods to choose from. I can’t wait to try the other items next trip. The place also has a bar that you can get drinks and eat. Large tv’s. They also serve Cuban coffee!

Very pleased. Ate here for breakfast– we both had the Cuban eggs, sausage, bacon, potatoes & Cuban bread. Everything was delicious. Would definitely come back again. The girl at the front counter greeting everyone and taking orders was super friendly and made our experience even better

This place is fantastic! It is very rare that you can get decent food in the airport, with this place is the exception. We dropped in because we just wanted to grab something quick and had a fantastic experience with outstanding service by everybody, and even better food. I would highly recommend this place if you are in the airport and I see that they have other locations also. A very good choice. Our waiter was Milo, however the rest of the staff was also great.

Spacious atmosphere and delicious food belie the reasonable prices and the fact that it’s in an airport. Service was outstanding and my Rey’s Cuban Sandwich was to die for. Little slow for airport food but forgivable given how darn good it is. One of the best kept secrets of the ATL airport.

The jerk sandwich is the best jerk sandwich I have ever had. A really good variation on a cuban sandwich! Cuban coffee is good too.

Located in the T gates the look is beautiful. It’s nice and spacious with plenty of seating if you want to sit down. The menu is easy enough to read and my sandwich and fries were made to order. My sandwich was decent enough, nothing to write home about but far from disgusting. The fries were perfect The service was horrible. When I first arrived two of the employees were yelling at one another while the others stood around and laughed. The girl who took my order was courteous and attentive(I wish I had got the her name) but I was distracted by the loud girl behind her arguing with the man. My food came out quick enough but I had to send it back because they left off items I requested. I am not terribly disappointed in that mistakes happen. But what bothered me was the girl who took my order was already working on fixing my order when the loud girl had to add her two cents about my meal not including the items I requested. Don’t but in when you have no idea what is going on. My disappointment comes from their lack of professionalism. Rethink your team or give them a class in professionalism as that is a major turn off.

I LOVE Papi’s. Their other location on Ponce is my favorite Cuban joint in the city, so when I found out that there was a new location at the airport, I flipped out. Before, I’d get really excited about the opportunity to eat at One Flew South at the airport, but now I look forward to eating at Papi’s. I’ve been here twice since they opened a few weeks ago. The first time, I ordered my favorite dish: the Pollo Cuban Sandwich. It was as heavenly as I remembered it from their original location. The chicken is nice and soft, and the bread has a nice crunch without being too hard for my old grandma teeth. And the pickles and mustard provide a nice little tang to it. Perfection. Today, I tried the medianoche sandwich, which is a Cuban sandwich but on sweet bread. It was also a super tasty sandwich, and I love medianoche sweet bread. However, the pork they used in it was like really watery pulled pork, so that was a bit of a turn off. Service seems to be a hit or a miss. The first time I came, everything was perfect and I was in and out in 20 minutes while dining in. This time, I was still in and out fairly quickly, but the other people who ordered from the bar were waiting for their food for FOREVER. So I’d recommend ordering your food from line, then finding a seat somewhere and letting them bring the food out to you. Or order it to go.

Y’all. Breakfast at Papi’s is legit. Get the breakfast sandwich on Cuban bread with«Cuban eggs». It’s so much better, fresher, and less greasy than anything else in T, much less the airport. Combine that with a huuuuge space and flawless customer service. Winner.

First off, let me say that rarely do so many people working in one place impress me so much with their enthusiasm, joie de vivre and obviously sincere interest in seeing their clients happy. Let’s continue by explaining that I’ve been to several Papi’s before, nine as friendly as this. Even the cook came out from the kitchen to ask people how their food was! And my Cuban breakfast(Cuban eggs, chicken sausage with herbs and spices, excellent Cuban coffee, plantains and Cuban bread) was absolutely delicious. Add to that an open, pleasant ambience and good Cuban music in the background and you have the best airport restaurant I’ve visited in years, and a restaurant I wish I could visit once a week! Probably the best Papi’s I’ve visited yet. In an airport, how improbable is that?

Editing my review. Score is an average of my two experiences. First experience-4 stars, today-0 stars. 23 days apart, two write ups. Second experience in short: I had ~30 minutes to grab food. Ordered and waited 15 mins for my jerk chicken sandwich. Asked them about it and couldn’t give me an estimate on time. Fellow customer told me she’s been waiting 30 mins for her sandwich. Asked again(after 4 minutes) about my food and the manager came. Told the manager I need it to go. Manager told me they are boxing my beef sandwich… I ordered chicken. Fellow customer went ahead and took my sandwich(I said she could take it). Manager told the kitchen to make my sandwich. Told them to forget it and just give me the pre made food. Never going back. First experience: ***The only reason why this place doesn’t have 5 stars is because they are brand new and don’t have alcohol yet. *** Other than that I really enjoyed my food. Whenever I travel, I try my hardest to stay away from huge chain restaurants. This fit the bill. I got the Ropa Veija which came with two sides, I got rice and beans. The dinner combos are $ 9.99, $ 10.99 and $ 11.99 depending on your meat(I’m including the prices because I saw a review complaining about the price, maybe they lowered them) I also decided to get a side of plantains and a soda. It was a little less than $ 17. For the amount of food I got, a full plate, I was pleasantly surprised and I loved my Iron Beer soda. I was stuffed, perfect to pass out on my next flight. I would have taken a picture of the food but I couldn’t wait to try it. I’ll take a picture on my flight back! And I’ll bump to 5 stars if they have some alcohol! The staff was super friendly, very clean, great environment. Would recommend!

As someone who has come to enjoy Papi’s Cuban Restaurant during drives through Atlanta, I was very happy to learn a few months ago that they would be opening an eatery at the Atlanta Airport, which I fly through quite often. After months of construction, they finally opened recently and I had a chance to check it out. First the good: I have to say that Papi’s new ATL location is spacious, clean and visually appealing. You can tell that the owners put a great deal of time, money, and love into this place, which I believe gives it great bones to eventually become a great option for food and coffee during layovers. When you first enter, you are greeted by a hostess who gives you the option to grab any available table or a place at the counter. I opted for the latter because I noticed there were plugs to charge one’s mobile device. There was pleasant, old-school Cuban music playing in the background – and I do stress«pleasant» as in not loud, noisy, or obnoxious. The food I ordered was great; I highly recommend the«Vaca Frita» with a side of black beans and rice. It was honestly as good as any Cuban restaurant I’ve been to in Miami or Tampa. Others around me ordered Cuban sandwiches of various sorts that looked equally delicious. Now here’s where I would say Papi’s needs some improvement, which I’m chalking up to having been open only about a week at that point: Although my own service was fine, I noticed there were at least three other people seated at the counter who had their orders fumbled by the kitchen. It seemed as if the wait staff had taken the orders appropriately, but they were not followed by the kitchen staff. Either way, it made some of the affected patrons visually annoyed. This is something that they absolutely must improve upon, since timely service at an airport is of the essence. The other area in which Papi’s at ATL can improve is their Cuban coffee. They have a beautiful, brand new industrial espresso machine that appears to just be poorly calibrated. The Cuban espresso I ordered was a bit wattery, had no crème(AKA: espumita) and tasted burnt. If they get this right by fine tuning the pressure on the espresso machine and properly packing the Café Bustelo into the filter, there’s no reason they can’t serve ATL Airport’s best coffee. It may require a Cuban abuela to come and teach the staff how to serve it up appropriately, but I digress. Anyway, I’m definitely going to return and give Papi’s a second chance, as I travel through ATL quite often. I’m hoping that they work out their kinks so I can update this review and give them a full 5 stars.

Overpriced, long wait and light handed servings make for a one and done experience here at Hartsfield Jackson. My dish was nearly $ 17 before my discount. Pulled pork, rice and beans + one beef empanada and a drink. Newly opened or not you pay deluxe pricing for a «premium» dining experience which is not yet in place.
