Dr. Joffee/Dr. Smith took great care of me when I was pregnant. I highly recommend them, they have me in and out quickly. They care very much. I found Dr. Joffee on google and made an appointment in March 2012 and he told me I was pregnant. Now in 2013 I still come here for post-pregnancy checkups and birth control. You have to pay for parking but it’s worth the $ 3.

I don’t know who wrote the previous review but my experience with Dr. Block was similar in that the first experience was just okay but further visits would diagnose an std that he had no explanation or support for me. But yesterday I went back for what I believe are hormonal issues and he diagnose me with another yeast 3 prescriptions less than 15 min. He’s the worse doctor I’ve ever had.

I was a very loyal patient at this practice from the age of 16 until about 2 years ago. Then, unfortunately, my doctor retired. I stupidly assumed that the other doctors in this practice would be just as good. I will NEVER make that mistake again. My first visit with Dr. Block was okay. He refused to prescribe the medication my old doctor prescribed for cramps, but I was okay with that. The real trouble started with my next yearly visit. He thought he had found a lump in my breast, and told me I needed to get a mammogram immediately. When I got to the mammography clinic(scared out of my mind), I found that his drawing of the location of the alleged lump was nowhere near where he’d placed my hand when letting me feel where it was. I directed the mammography techs to the place he’d shown me, and they couldn’t feel anything except for a normal(i.e. NOT swollen) lymph node. In the area he’d drawn out for them on paper, they couldn’t feel anything. As a result, I was subjected to 3 more mammograms and finally an ultrasound. In the end, they confirmed that what he’d reported as a breast lump was a NORMAL lymph node. I was already planning to never go back to this practice after that horrifying experience. However, the insult-to-injury epilogue was 4 months later when I went to call in my next monthly birth control renewal… only to find out that my prescription had run out. Apparently, he’d prescribed me 3 months worth of birth control instead of a full year(without telling me this). I paged the emergency pager and raised holy hell. Fortunately, the doctor on call was someone else in the practice. He was highly apologetic and said he’d never heard of a three-month prescription for birth control. He immediately called in the rest of my year’s prescription. Maybe the remaining doctors in this practice are better than Dr. Block. Pity that I’m never going back there to find out.
