Best philly I’ve had in Atlanta. A little pricier than Subway but the quality is much better. I’ve also had their pizza sub and enjoyed it. The fresh squeezed lemonade is must. It counterbalances the savory-ness of the subs perfectly.

My husband was so happy when he found out Penn Station came to Atlanta! He ate their subs during his business trip to somewhere and fell in love with them. I love their Artichoke sub, Italian hot sub, and Hand Cut fries! Oh yeah, fresh squeezed lemonade is always great too! I tried Teriyaki Chicken the other day and that was really good too.

The cheese steak was bland and the fries were alright. I would have given two stars for it but there was a blonde woman behind the counter who was just so obnoxious I gave one star. She was talking to the other employees about a customer she had before I came in, and it wasn’t positive. I’m guessing that she is a manager or owner because she was also telling people what to do, but it was between her non stop talking about a trip she was going on(girrrl I was like, I’m not going to try and see you if I’m only there for 2 days!) I don’t think people should only think about work while at work, but I definitely think she was unprofessional in the way that she was behaving. Enough to not make me go back, or recommend it to anyone.

Our cheesesteaks were so bland. After I finished eating my monotone-bite cheesesteak, I felt so gross. My mouth felt like there was just a layer of butter and grease from the sandwich. 2 stars because I liked my French fries, otherwise it would be 1 star

It is a great little sub place! Way better than subway or Jersey Mike’s. Tucked in the shopping center next to Newt’s. Parking is shared so during lunch and dinner peak hours, you might have to park a bit farther away. I usually order the club for the bacon. Whatever you order, get the bacon. Its a thick crispy kind of bacon. The fries are hand cut fries, cut there and easy to share. The homemade lemonade and square chocolate chip cookies(giant chucks of chocolate) are a must have with your menu. Please keep in mind a small sub, small fries(can share with 2 people), a chocolate chip cookie, and a lemonade will come to about 12 or 14 bucks. Not your $ 5 dollar foot longs here. There is a TV, but I wasn’t paying attention to it. And they give you free subs on your birthday!

Wow! One of the greatest Philly cheesesteaks I’ve had. The staff there are always nice and though it takes some time to get the food, it’s well worth it. GETTHECHEESESTEAK.

I’m shocked that this place doesn’t have at least 4 stars. This is my absolutely favorite sub place. The only reason it’s not 5 Stars is because I feel service is slow. The best thing about Penn subs is the bread… because that is the key to a great sub. Quality of the bread is great, it’s freshly made and crusty on the outside and soft inside. I’ve had turkey subs and the Philly cheese steak several times. I always get the hand cut fries because they’re awesome. Way better than Jersey Mikes… sorry Mike!

If you want a good Italian deli sandwich, come to Penn Station! The roll is loaded with 3 meats, onion, peppers, cheese, Italian herbs, oil, vinegar. Get it cold with no mayo. I like extra onions too. Only complaint is I’d like a little crunch on the bread. And don’t forget the fresh cut fries. They could use another minute in the grease. They were a bit soggy and under seasoned. And the price is right! I don’t know if this is the first Penn Station in Atlanta but this one is located in a new shopping center on Lavista Road and Briarcliff Roads. This area has been growing and changing an the additions and makeover looks great. Parking can be a bit tight since there are other food spots and things in a small area.

This was a regular spot for me when I lived in Charlotte. I was very happy they put one in Atlanta. Drove all the way from Vinings just to have this for lunch today. Totally worth it. Hopefully as it catches on more locations will open closer to me or to work. I always get the club. I can’t bring myself to try anything else for fear of food envy. The club is just that good. The thick bacon is like no other sandwich shop. Everyone I’ve had try the club agrees with me that it is great. The fries are fresh and not to greasy. The lemonade is wonderful and made fresh daily. The cookies are to die for, so chewy and delicious. I never could get enough of this place when it was a mile away, now that it’s 20 minutes away I don’t expect to come as often but I certainly didn’t regret the drive today.

I think 4 stars is a bit generous. Maybe more like a 3.75 stars. But I decided to give it 4 because I do like this place. Pretty solid cheesesteak(It sounds crazy, especially if you’re from the philly area, but do try it with pizza sauce one time. It’s interesting). I always get the cheesesteak which again, solid. Not the best, but it did surprise me, in a good way. I expected something like Jersey Mike’s quality, but it is better. I forget what the different lengths are, but there’s like 4 different lengths(something like 6″, 8″, 10″, and 12″). I’m a pretty big guy, and I was uncomfortably full when I ate the 12″ with fries. Hand cut French fries are really good too. The staff has always been kind and easy going so I enjoy coming in here. If you are feeling a little on the«stuff my face with a greasy sandwich even though there’s a Newk’s just couple stores down,» this is a pretty good option for the area.

Waited 9 months — decided to give it another shot — and again had a bad and weird experience. 6PM on a Thursday. Maybe this isn’t a dinner place. Appeared to only be 2 people«working». We ordered 46-inch sandwiches to try more of the menu. For the second time(9 months later) the sandwiches ordered without Mayo contained Mayo. Everything was really salty. We waited at the register for about 5+ minutes to pay after ordering. First sandwich came out after about 15 minutes — then the other sandwiches came out one at a time, about 3 – 5 minutes apart. Very strange! Additional observations: Very loud Rap/R&B music playing throughout. Women’s room out of toilet paper. A pair of shoes under one of the customer tables(see picture). Gave it two chances — with a large gap in between. Just don’t think we’ll be back.

To me this place is one of those days when other people in the office order it. Generally when they bring it back everything looks fresh and smell delicious, so one day I decided to forgo my lifestyle change and less eating out and eating better. I went with the Philly Cheese-steak Combo as was sorta unhappy with the size of the sandwich, it was quite small compared to what other ppl in my office have brought back, so when I asked, the clerk stated that the combo sandwich is a 6″ and full sandwiches can be purchased in 6″ 8″ or 10 or 12″ size. The sandwich was tasty but it was nothing to write home about. I did enjoy the bread, but since I’ve been cutting out carbs that may not mean anything but my body would take anything bread related right now and enjoy it. The fries were good and not overly salted. Very disappointed in the lemonade tea mixture. Maybe its best to just stick with one of the other, because it was awful mixed together. Also, the sandwiches come with«pizza sauce». I have no idea what that is, nor did I try it. No need in adding calories to what was pretty much an average food experience. Almost $ 9 for the combo. Staff is friendly and helpful.

Came across this when I was looking for some new lunch places. Sounded good so decided to give it a try. Place was very clean and the service was very friendly. Love the hand cut fries a must when ordering had the cheesesteak special and reuben. Both good choices. I think its a good addition to Atlanta because most sub places here I will not go to. Will go back to try the Grilled artichoke sub which sounded very good.

My husband and I have been planning to come here for months and finally got around to it. The service was great and fast. The restaurant was clean. Bathroom was clean too. They have outside seating with umbrellas so we did that. I ordered the cheese steak. The one here is different than I expected. It is more than cheese and steak with peppers on bread. Their sauce is flavorful, maybe a bit too much flavor. It was a mustard sauce and I don’t know if they put too much or the sauce had to much salt. The first bite was great, but after the third it got really salty. Oh and they forgot the banana peppers and green peppers and onions on my sandwich. I was really hungry so I didnt bother to go back in to tell them. My husband ordered the chicken reuben. I didn’t try it, but he said he liked it. His side order of fries was really sad though. The fries tasted great, but for $ 2+ we expected to get a bit more than a little handful. It was a small that we ordered. You would need at least a medium to feed an adult. Small would be for a child. We would go back, but I would just have to ask for less sauce on the philly cheese steak or maybe sauce on the side.

A friend told me to come here, I’m glad I did! Cheese steaks! I’ve only been once but I will be back as soon as the opportunity comes up again. I usually am not a fan of hand cut fresh fries, but theirs are actually good. The chocolate chunk cookie is amazing. Get one, share it with a couple of friends. When I go back, I want to try something different, but i doubt I do!

While the cheese steak is one of the best of it’s kind in this genre, I was surprised to see no gloves being worn by the employees preparing the food. When I asked the manager, he told me that is his policy, as he feels that gloves bring a false sense of security. It was not appetizing to watch my food prepared without gloves. Gloves aside, the staff was very friendly. I am happy to see a new restaurant in the area, as there are not many good places to grab a quick bite to eat. The fries are also pretty good… made from scratch. This place has tremendous potential, but at the moment, I am simply not comfortable eating there until they change the policy.

Prior to my visit to Penn Station, I’d never heard of the restaurant — from the previous reviews, I gather it’s a northern chain. In my opinion, it’s fairly reminiscent of Quizno’s and Jimmy John’s — put these two chains together and it’s Penn Station, My initial impression of the space is that it’s small — we came in for an early dinner on Friday night and with the amount of people there, it felt a bit tight, especially with their order set-up. Orders are placed near the entrance, at the beginning of the counter, where there’s a large menu board listing their sandwiches and sides. There are about twelve pre-conceived sandwiches on the menu, as well as a build your own option. Sandwiches are available in four sizes: 6″, 8″, 10″, or 12″. In addition to the sandwiches, there are fries and cheese bread options, as well as some damn good chocolate chunk cookies(available in front of the register). A staff member recommended the philly cheesesteak, and it does seem to the most popular option — we went in a different direction, but as soon as I saw the phillys come out: mmmm. I began to regret my decision. Not to say I didn’t enjoy our orders, we chose the Sweet Italian Sausage(sausage, onions, green peppers, and pizza sauce) and the Italian(ham, salami, pepperoni, provolone) — and they were both good. I wasn’t blown away by any means — I still prefer Publix. The sausage I found to be a little dry and the pizza sauce was a bit jarring in combination. I liked the Italian better, but again I’ve had better interpretations of the same. We also had an order of cheese bread — basically pizza toppings on bread, so fairly palatable but not really a stand out. The staff was really friendly and fairly efficient — we got out orders quickly despite the customer volume; when the line diminished, some of the staff members came out and cleared off our table and offered to get us our re-fills. Overall, I was a little disappointed considering the hype — but I will update when I get my hands on that philly of theirs.
