Totally found this place by accident, driving around looking for a place to eat lunch. It is located in a small shopping center. Upon walking in we were greeted by a lovely gentleman who told us to sit wherever we wanted. Also, at lunch time, they offer a pizza and salad buffet, which I wanted to check out. We sat at a cozy booth near the back of the restaurant. The place was relatively busy with most of the tables filled. The salad bar was decent, but the pizza«buffet» was two pies as well as a warmer with pasta in it. So instead, I opted for the chicken parmesan, which was a delicious option. They do have various salads, other pizzas, and other pasta. The chicken parm was lightly breaded and fried, and the marinara sauce was just meh, but the cheese, oh the cheese made the dish. The pasta was standard angel hair pasta, topped with the marinara sauce. The meal came with a small house salad which was decent, and the bread, which was a light garlic bread was probably my second most favorite part of the meal. The waitress was kind, very sweet person. Worth checking out, especially if you are looking for something quick and easy.

Another GINORMOUS portion alert. Was craving pizza Halloween night, but ended up been drawn in by the pasta. Ordered a chicken pasta and it came with a huge fresh leafy green salad. Could have just eaten that and the fresh rolls that came out! Was so hungry that I ended up finishing my pasta order as well, but really, I’m just indulgent and ate 2 people’s worth of food. Prices are a little higher than I’d like as well, but food is decent enough.

Holy Crap… do you need a gold card for lunch? I thought ‘hey, lunch time… restaurant…eating’- I walked in, flipped open the menu and lost my appetite! Holy Crap!!! Are Buckhead folks THIS desperate for lunch? these prices for food this mediocre? go to the publix across the street and microwave something… yeesh. 9 $ for a sandwich with CHIPS? the individual cheese pizzas START at $ 11, for lunch? pass.

Came here to eat a quick bite with a friend. I didn’t want much to eat and I asked if I could have a small portion of the spaghetti with clam sauce. The waitress said that it would not be a problem. She came back and the chef or owner said no. Since that was all that I wanted, I declined the large portion. You would think that in a nice area like this that they would accommodate a customer. My friend had a salad. I sat and waited and won’t be back. My friend said that the food was very mediocre. I guess we would have known that the food is bland and not great if I read the other reviews. So now you know. I’d pass and go someplace else.

A nice, quaint, but small tucked away restaurant. The atmosphere and service were great! The menu is a bit pricey, but all in all a good experience. I had the calzone, which packed a punch, and was indeed filling. My wife had the chicken Parmesan sandwich… she rated it as average. Not to worry, she is from the NYC area, so her the bar is set high.

Hubby got a huge calzone and I got their clam sauce linguine. We both had enough leftovers for the next day’s lunch. I love places like this. Our waiter was really nice, a bit kooky, and running around all over the place. Loved it.

Very expensive mediocre food. There are far better choices in Atlanta. Weird atmosphere, too. Will not be going back. They also messed up on one of our orders so everyone was finished when finally the last dish arrived and also had to tell them that they overcharged on one item when we got the bill. Sticking with Antico and Gio’s for Italian from now on.

Yum. This place is SO good and pizza is a lil more but really worth it. The tiramisu is incredible! The toasted ravioli appetizer is awesome. Everything is fresh and delicious.

Great food, great service. I would definitely recommend this place. The food was fantastic!(I ordered the chicken marsala.) My boyfriend ordered the pizza and it was delicious. It’s one of the few family owned restaurants that is still around(over 45 years), and they make you feel like family. Our server was also very friendly. I will definitely be back!

A little bit more of a «meh» experience for me overall, but the dearth of Sunday evening dining options in this area bumps it up a star. First, try walking in to any of the restaurants located in this strip without a reservation. For a party of two on a Sunday night, we were quoted 40 minute waits at Houston’s, and Blue Ridge Grill was similarly packed. Every table at Pero’s was also full, but the five minute wait seemed much more reasonable. Though our server got off to a painfully slow start, things picked up and she was super helpful, making great recommendations and even bringing us extra sauce to try. The food is pricey for what it is — neighborhood, average Italian. Kind of think Cici’s pizza mixed with Ippolitto’s. Our large Greek salad(amazing dressing and lots of dark greens) and our individual sized(10 inch) white pizza came to $ 27, plus tip. That’s a lot for a merely mediocre dinner for two. I won’t hurry back, but it’s good in this area in a pinch.

Pero’s is a family run neighborhood Italian restaurant. Charlie Pero and his family do a great job. Many of the staff have been there for 10 plus years. In addition to the full range of traditional Italian offerings, there are always great special’s. My two favorite’s main courses are the Tracy’s Special with Shrimp and the Veal Marsala.

Fantastic family run Italian restaurant. They’ve been around since 1969! Great food — especially the lasagna and anything with their meat sauce. I highly recommend it.

Pero’s is ok if you want an alternative to the usual franchises like Pizza Hut or Papa John’s. The only caveat is that they only deliver within a 3-mile radius. D’oh! We’re 6 miles away, but apparently they used to deliver farther. I had the vegetarian pizza which was ok. Very crispy crust. Sometimes, it was a little hard to chew for me. Others might like it. The one thing that kind of bothered me was the pickled peppers or something on the pizza. Normally, I’d like that kind of thing, but it was overpowering that the entire pizza had a sour, pickled taste. Sour enough that I wondered if something had gone bad. Nothing happened, so it’s probably just powerful stuff. Also ordered a side order of wings. Asked for hot, but got something that was really mild. Wings were pretty normal aside from not being spicy enough. Taco Mac still serves my favorite wings. Seems like another normal pizza place and nothing too extraordinary.

Picked this place on a trip through Atlanta because of its convenient location off of the interstate and the lunch buffet. The service was very friendly and fast, definitely 5 stars worthy! The bathrooms were clean and surprisingly not a 1 seater, which is really really nice when you are traveling! The food however was just okay. The salad bar was small but had fresh ingredients. Definitely wish the assortment were larger but this is a small place so I get not going all out on their salad bar lunch buffet. The pizza selection was slim and morning fancy. There was only cheese, pepperoni and 1 piece of sausage. I got a piece of pepperoni and the pasta that was available. Both were just okay, nothing great, nothing memorable, but not bad. This place definitely fulfilled what I needed at the time, edible food fast that wasn’t from a fast food chain. So many other options in the area though that I hope the dinners there are a lot better than the buffet. Another side note, and I know this is a nicer place than Pizza Hut or CiCis pizza but a dessert pizza would have been nice!

Pero’s is an Italian and pizza restaurant that has been in Atlanta for over 40 years. It’s located near the busy intersection of Northside Parkway and West Paces Ferry Road, near I-75. It’s in the same shopping center as Houston’s and The Flying Biscuit. I visited Pero’s for lunch on a weekday and the shopping center was absolutely slammed. It was difficult to find parking. I ended up parking behind the restaurant and walking through the kitchen to get inside. As you can imagine from the length of time they’ve been open, this restaurant is old school Italian — dimly lit, comfortable, and traditionally decorated. It’s a casual place. They have TVs. The people who work here are very friendly. I know this is cliché, but they make you feel like family. At lunchtime, there was only one server, so service was slow. Our drinks never got refilled. Recognizing the slow service as I sat down, I decided to get the self-serve lunch buffet to save time(I’m sure the busy waitress appreciated it). The lunch buffet is served Monday-Friday, 11:00am-2:30pm. There’s a pizza bar and a salad bar. If you want both, the buffet costs $ 7.95. Salad bar only is $ 6.95. The buffet is simple, but it gets the job done. The salad bar includes iceberg lettuce and mixed greens with red onion, grape tomatoes, cucumber, broccoli, potato salad, pasta salad, sliced grape tomato and cucumber with dressing, sliced hard boiled eggs, shredded cheddar cheese, cottage cheese, sliced peaches, and beets. Toppings include sesame seeds, raisins, bacon bits, and croutons with about a half dozen dressings plus oil and vinegar. The pizza bar has a rotating selection of pizzas, but only about two are at the bar at any given time. A few pizzas available during my visit included pepperoni, pepperoni and mushroom, and I think«Pero’s Special»(pepperoni, mushroom, onion, sausage, and green pepper). They were sitting on circular pizza trays underneath heat lamps. Next to the pizza was a container of what look liked baked ziti — it did not look terribly appetizing. I enjoyed my lunch visit. I hit both the salad bar and pizza bar twice each. The ingredients at the salad bar were fresh and reminded me of bagged or pre-packaged veggies you can buy at the grocery store, which isn’t necessarily a bad thing(just an observation). The pizza was OK. It wasn’t the freshest pizza in the world, but I wouldn’t expect it to be since it’s a buffet. The crusts of the pizzas had dried out a bit by the time I got to them and the cheese was a little rubbery, but as a whole, I still thought they were tasty and enjoyable enough. One of my tablemates ordered the Antipasto salad(Italian salad with salami, cheese, anchovies, olives, and peppers topped with homemade Italian dressing) and it looked huge. He’s been a regular at Pero’s for years, likes the place, and recommends the Antipasto. I wouldn’t mind coming back and ordering something off their menu of pizza, pastas, salads, and sandwiches. At dinnertime, they also have veal, chicken, and seafood entrees.

Surprisingly good! I had never been there before and went with a large group from work(13 people). The food was very good! I loved the meatballs and Italian sausage appetizers. The chicken parmigiana was one of the best I’ve ever had! The sauce was super good, great taste and different from what I’ve had at other similar restaurants. I would have bought a jar of it if I could have. And the cannoli was very, very good! Overall good experience. Service was ok but nothing to complain about. Food was very good.

For a lunch spot, Pero’s serves its purpose offering a quick, lite lunch buffet bar. Included with the buffet is a salad bar stocked with a couple of lettuce choices and the standard toppings and sides. In addition, there are usually two pizzas hanging out under the heat lamps, one meat, the other only cheese or veggie. Next to the pizza is one pasta dish, kept hot over small burners, consisting of white pasta noodles and a red, marinara meat sauce. Although the parking lot is always crazy busy, there is no problem getting seated at Pero’s. There is never a wait during the lunch hour. Plenty of tables or booths to choose from. Personally, I found the décor somewhat old style where the tables are dark and the lighting is low, too low to read the menu by. But the service is quick and friendly.

Best tomato sauce around! Food is always excellent. Try the Chicken Parm, Spinach & Walnut Ravioli, Fettucini Alfredo, Pizza(yum!). Also…(not on the menu) try one of their perfectly prepared fish specials: Trout Almondine(which is better than anyone’s in Atlanta) or the Salmon Dijon. They also make a Tilapia Francese I like to get over angel hair. Leave room for TIRAMISU! Pero’s has the best tiramisu, hands down.
