I have eaten here a handful of times, and every time it’s a wonderful experience. The staff is very helpful, especially if you don’t know anything about Indian cuisine, very polite, really good prices, and the food is absolutely delicious! I would highly recommend this place to people who love Indian food, or if you’re in the area and looking for reasonably priced place to eat.

So, I have gotten delivery there before… and was decent. Not fabulous, but for quick delivery, a definite option. Today I ordered delivery because my tire was flat and I literally couldn’t go out. Although the the person I spoke on the phone with was nice and delivery person extremely nice, this was the absolute worst Indian food I have ever had. I would try to go into detail, but there is just too much to say. I have no idea what happened, but the food is inedible. Such a disappointment. I plan on calling the restaurant once I calm down.

Very tasty, good value and consistent quality. Portions are generous and I routinely get two meals out of a single entrée(I’m a big guy with a big appetite). The samosas are my favorite appetizer and among the best I’ve had. I’m not really sure what all these negative reviews are about as this place was recommended to me by friends who also routinely order from here. I should add that I’ve never actually eaten my meal inside the restaurant. All of my experiences(10? maybe 12?) have been delivery or pick up. The number and severity of bad reviews seems suspicious to me(e.g metal shards, food poisoning, inedible dishes) and very inconsistent with my experience over the past 10 – 12 months.

This used to be my favorite delivery spot but recently they changed the menu and removed my favorite dishes which were the curries that had tofu as one of the protein options. I was a regular customer but will no longer order as the price just isn’t worth it without the extra veggie friendly protein options. Bummer! I hope they bring them back. I miss Planet Bombay!

I came by on Thanksgiving because it was one of the few places that was open in the area. I ordered my food to go, so I can’t really speak on the customer service. However, the food here wasn’t very good at all. I ordered an appetizer and a meal and it ended up costing me about $ 25. I ordered shrimp poori that was supposed to be bread stuffed with shrimp, but when i opened my container it was more like a piece of bread with baby food on top. Not only did the presentation throw me off, the flavor did as well. It was supposed to be mild and creamy but was actually pretty sweet. I ordered the fish tandoori that came with salmon and that tasted even worse. The fish was either bad or really cheap based on the flavor. I’m not a very picky eater, but I couldn’t finish it. The sauce that it came in was not as flavorful as I had hoped either. The dish also came with vegetable curry which ended up being the best dish of the entire meal. With all of the other Indian places in Atlanta, I’m sure I won’t be doing back there.

FOODPOISONING! My wife and spent all day yesterday in bed/bathroom not being able to move after eating Planet Bombay last night. It’s the only food we both ate that day. Had to call relatives to watch our son because we couldn’t function. I am tempted to throw a rock through their window, but I’ll simply write this review in hopes others will stay away from this terrible demon restaurant. I WILLNEVEREATINDIANFOODAGAIN.

REALLY, DON’T GOHERE! Ok, where do I begin. Worst $ 30 we spent eating out in Atlanta thus far. First off it smells weird in the restaurant. Which throws you off right from the beginning. We ordered a Alo-Gobi & Channa Masala. Because that’s what we normally get when we eat indian food. So we thought we would know what we would get… We could not tell the two dishes apart and they were not flavourful at all. And getting mainly big pieces of potatos in each dish for $ 12 – 15 dollars is just a disgrace. The Naan was just greasy and also without any flavour hat so ever. ONLY positive thing was the sweet girl working there. Would never come back here.

Please DONOTGOHERE. We had ordered a take out of Chicken biryani. We made sure we ordered extra spicy. We picked up our order. Got home. And the food wasn’t spicy at all. We called the restaurant immediately and told them that the food was super bland. They asked us to come back with the food. So here we are, on our way… With our unsatisfied food. We got there and they gave us the same EATEN food back with just added spice. You would think that they would have the courtesy of giving us a fresh batch of NEW biryani. But NO. Truly disappointed. Will never come here again. Ever.

Good indian food for the price. Not going to find much better than this within city limits in this price range.

Usually the food is top notch. Not sure what happened, however just received probably the worst Indian food I’ve ever had. Spinach rice was mushy and flavorless, lamb masala was far too sweet and the naan was cold. Have ordered from here many times and would never have expected such a lackluster effort.

I ate here frequently before moving to East Point. I try to make it out as often as possible. The service is great and so is the food. We always ask for Jewel! :)

I don’t know why this place has such a poor rep, I think it’s delicious. The atmosphere inside is a little offputting since it feels a lot more upscale than most places in little five, but the waitstaff are friendly and not pretentious despite the appearance of the place, with cloth napkins, pre-set tables, and tablecloths. Their lunch specials are the best, for $ 6-$ 7 you get a bowls of curry, a bowl of veggies, a pile of rice, and a bowl of lentil soup. I had the tofu curry last time I was there, but there are also vegetable or chick pea options, as well as some meat ones. Their veggie samosas are also great, just the right size and crispy, although sometimes a little greasy and about a dollar overpriced(two samosas for $ 4), but when you have the extra cash to spare they’re worth it for the green sauce that comes with them. I haven’t been for dinner in a long time as it’s much more expensive($ 12+), but each entrée is more than enough to share or have leftovers for days. Their Makhani is incredibly tasty and creamy(although not vegan), and their Vindaloo is perfectly spicy but not oily, I don’t know what their other curries taste like because I always go to those two. Each one can be made with tofu/veggies/paneer or meat, and my favourite part is their choice of heat. You can decide when you order how hot you want your curry to be, so you don’t have to just order a Vindaloo if you want something mind-blowingly spicy.

The lunch specials are the best, the dinner is moderately priced. They open ½ the day for lunch and reopen for dinner. I’ve been numerous times and each time has been a good experience. The soups are good and the cheese Naan is to die for! The wait staff is very attentive at times there may be language barriers but they do try their best. They don’t have sweet tea which is unfortunate and there aren’t free drink refills. Besides that the food is always good and the service is considerate. The best indian food in atlanta besides raja in buckhead.

With friendly service and amazing food this place is great go to while visiting Atlanta! I think I eat here everytime I come to little 5 points. Authentic and flavorful! There is free parking in the back. I ordered the polluck paneer which is my favorite. My brother ordered the goat rayzala. We both loved it and found our selves splitting both dishes! :-)

Sometimes a girl just NEEDS Indian food. She NEEDS it stat. And when that happens, she is willing to try the closest place possible despite mediocre Unilocal rankings. Well, that’s exactly what happened on this particular Saturday night. And it led said girl in above craving-Indian-food story to also contribute a mediocre review. The pluses: location, lots of vegetarian dishes, attentive service, bike rack. The minuses: this food is real bland. We tried a couple of different curries, and they were both pretty b-o-r-i-n-g. It really wasn’t horrible at all, but I won’t come rushing back unless I’m in the mood for generally low-taste Indian. Which, you know, could happen next time I MUST have Indian food.

They have a wide variety of vegetarian dishes. You can usually specify the spiciness of the meal you are ordering. I’ve only ever gotten delivery or pick-up. The delivery is always on time. The stuffed paratha is a favorite. My husband always gets the Kashmir Chicken(they give the spicier sauce on the side so he can add as much as he wants.) i enjoy the Mixed Vegetables Tandoori. Honestly, you can’t go wrong.

The food is good but the customer service is terrible. The delivery driver was rude and short. It took me about 5 – 6 mins to come pick up my food after he called and originally told me he was there to deliver it. He called me a second time demanding where I was as I scrambled to put my shoes on. After saying I would be there in a few seconds he just hung up the phone. Later after picking up the food from his car he said that when he calls I need to be there to get my food in 2 or 3 minutes in a VERY rude way. I could not believe I was paying this man and giving him a tip to be ordered around and treated like a child. DONOTORDERFROMHERE! THEFOODISGOODBUTTHESERVICEISNOTWORTHIT. Sincerely, A very disappointed customer

Do the lunch special, it’s dirt cheap and will fill you up. On their spice scale of 1 to 7, 5 is definitely on the very hot side for Americans. Anybody who can out spicy me wins a prize.

We ordered dal, sagg paneer, shrimp poori, samosas, spring rolls and naan for delivery from Planet Bombay tonight. The dal was very good, the samosas were good, and the spring rolls were okay. The sagg paneer, naan and shrimp poori was terrible because someone in the kitchen was going crazy with the sugar. I’ve never had sweet Indian food and I hope to never have it again. The sagg paneer was disgusting. I have never had terrible sagg paneer until tonight. It tasted like sweet spinach pudding. We won’t be ordering from this restaurant again.

I only ever get one thing at Indian restaurants if they have it. It’s called Paneer Makhni and despite having ordered it dozens of times in my life I still am not quite sure how to pronounce that dish. If they don’t have it I will get Paneer Tikka Masala. Planet Bombay has both, which makes me happy. Because of my obsession with Paneer Makhni, I haven’t tried much of their menu, but everything I have tried I have liked. They have a fenugreek soup! Their garlic naan could be a bit more garlicky, but that’s nitpicky. Also it’s kind of cold in there in the winter. They deliver, and you can order online.
