Rose Bar

Absolutely too small. No seating for non-​violent people. They want patrons to wear heels but they provide zero seating. I like this spot but the set-​up is bad.

Great place, great atmosphere absent the terrible staff. No cover on Friday and Saturday night which is almost unheard of nowadays. I was particularly skeptical especially as it’s been years since I’ve been to place without cover and where I didn’t get bottle service. Great music, loved the hookah. Hookah staff was excellent. Bartenders and Security were super rude and unfriendly. Bathrooms could use and upgrade; however, the music was straight.
Very narrow establishment, seems to be a late 20s/​early 30s crowd.
I would say go and check it out you’ve got nothing to lose. Do the hookah, for sure but th wise damn bartenders make you not want to buy drinks so rude! They and security are the reason I took off two stars.

I like Rose Bar, but it’s definitely not for everyone. I would use it as a pre-​game spot and then continue the night elsewhere. Friday night is for sure an older crowd, I’m 24 and felt completely out of place. I can’t remember the last time I went, but it was more relatable clientele, I imagine this was a Saturday.
OUTSIDE
Small parking lot, and I think valet extends the lot to the spaces nearby, I’ve never driven, but I do know that line gets real long around peak hours. It’s interesting to read other reviews, because I’ve never paid cover and never had trouble with the bouncers. Realize the later you get somewhere the more likely there will be cover (especially for men), and that they will be more strict with dress code. Of course, these things are subjective, and hopefully your bouncer is having a good day. The outdoor patio is where I usually frequent (PACKED inside), and it is a nice small area with patio furniture, where you can smoke and drink.
INSIDE
Here’s where they start going downhill in my book. There is absolutely no room to walk in this place when it gets packed. If there was a fire, we’d all certainly meet our doom.
I’ve never had trouble ordering a drink, which are pricier here I’ve noticed, but after that you better get outside or get a section, and the sections account for at least 70% of the space inside the venue. There’s barely an aisle to walk and you will definitely get pushed and shoved and will push and shove yourself for sheer survival.
MUSIC&ATMOSPHERE
Hip Hop and Oldies, I may have heard some Carribean vibes and Top 40 but not too sure. The atmosphere has been older (~35 average) recently, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing, just no group I would approach. The inside is also so packed, and gets so loud, that you probably barely have the energy to talk to anyone anyway, including your friends.
BOTTOM LINE
I like what Rose Bar offers, but I’m going early, leaving early, and hoping I saw someone my age.

Love! Love! Love! Rose Bar… I will get into the pros and the cons, but first let me say I went here last night and had a phenomenal experience! The club is not very big and has inside and outside sitting areas. This club is upscale and the crowd identifies as such.
A nice percentage of the crowd is filled with people who are attractive, and friendly. If you are a single male/​female in Atlanta, looking to find a nice professional man or woman this is the place to be! Even if you are a outgoing person that enjoys meeting new people, this bar is the perfect place to mingle.
The crowd is very diverse! Ranging from ages mid 20’s into late 40’s and there is a variety of ethnicities! Now, let me get into the pros and the cons.
Pros: Valet Parking is available for $ 5 (It may be better to arrive early as I was leaving around 1:00-ish, I saw the valets a little confused about where to park the long line of cars full of people who waiting to get in). Great place for meeting people, drinks and hookah is good and they are good about refilling your coals every so often. Hookah is $ 30.
Cons: You will stand up, unless you choose to book a VIP section, which can be very expensive or sit outside. (Which is not ideal when it is cold). If you consider $ 10 for a drink to be pricey, I would not advise you to go here. Beer on the other hand was $ 5.
Attire: «Dressy» A lot of the women wore heels with their attire. and most of the men had on very nice blazers with dress shoes.
I definitely give this place a two thumbs up and I will be returning soon!

When I walked in, there was almost no one there, so we easily snagged some good standing space at the bar. Drinks are reasonably priced. Music was good. The bartenders were nice and quick to serve us. I tried one of the hookahs, and will probably not hookah at this spot again.
The layout is a little uncomfortable. Once the place gets packed, it gets tough to move around. The bathroom situation is definitely not ideal. There’s only space for 2 or 3 people in there at a time, and they have an attendant in there «directing traffic»… but she often rushes those inside in order to keep the line moving. Those waiting in line outside the bathroom door are standing right in the way of the steps, so the bouncers will continually tell you that you cannot stand there.
The majority of the space is taken up by couches reserved for people who buy bottles, so there isn’t much space for anything else. Everyone ends up standing in a line pushed against the walls, because the bouncers come through constantly telling everyone to clear a walkway so people can easily get from the front of the establishment to the back… it can get a little pushy and shove-​y. There is outside seating available, and there are 2 bars inside.
Coat check is cash only… there is an ATM next to the door when you come in.
Will I go again? Sure, maybe one day, but I likely won’t be a regular at this spot.

Wow! This was the place to be. We stumbled across this joint by complete accident and we couldn’t have been more happy once we got inside. We actually crashed a birthday party and danced the night away.
The place was packed full of beautiful people from wall to wall. A lot of wall watchers and if you are willing to be outgoing you can certainly find that group of people to have fun with.

Omg, last night (Saturday) was my 1^st at this place and I had a great time. Free entry, chill vibe, awesome music and decent drinks. For people who like to smoke cigars or hookahs this is a spot to consider. Even though it’s not my thing the place was roomy enough that I wasn’t bothered by the smoke. I will definitely be coming back.

Absolutely my favorite «go to» spot on a Saturday night. A mature fun crowd, everyone is courteous including the staff. No cover charge, $ 5 valet & a great DJ. With all the inflated nightclubs in Atlanta I find this to be a cool, sexy place to socialize & the drinks are always great.

I’d heard some great things about Rose Bar recently and from the pictures I’ve seen on Instagram and their website I was Über excited to make it here.
First, I got here and the parking and line were ridiculous. So, I was already kind of turned off. I stood in line for a while waiting for my boyfriend to find parking. Once he got to me we waited about another ten minutes or so before we were inside the establishment.
I kept hearing he had to pay $ 20 but we both entered without a fee. We got to the bar and met up with out friends and ordered some drinks. The club was packed! Normally this would be a good thing but this is described as an upscale lounge, so I was thinking I’d be relaxing, chillin maybe smoking a little hookah. Instead I was bombarded by people bumping into me, a DJ who kept having us waiting in silence and a hot ass atmosphere that had me escaping outside a couple times.
If I wanted to go through all of this I’d go across the street to Havana and party but I wasn’t even looking for that this night. The set up is pretty nice with these cabana seats outside but it was just too chaotic. This is definitely more of a nightclub than a lounge and you won’t be able to hear the people you’re with if you aren’t yelling.

Rose Bar was so-​so. This was a bar we checked out while out for a friend’s birthday a few weeks ago. There weren’t a lot of people there and there isn’t much seating unless you want to buy a VIP table, which our group wasn’t interested in spending THAT much money just to sit while we had drinks (I think the table was going to cost $ 900, if I remember correctly). There seemed to be a little bit of discrimination at the door, as one girl in our group wasn’t allowed in as she was wearing grey Keds-​like tennis shoes, yet I saw other patrons being allowed in wearing tennis shoes. The bartenders were friendly and helpful and we had a good time.

Went there Friday night. Mixed crowd, great music, friendly service, good drinks. The only thing that i didn’t like was the seating situation. ALL Seating area’s were closed off for «potential» Vip’s. So, remember to wear some comfortable shoes. Keep the cute, sexy heels in your car for another spot.

We shall call Tuesday nights at Rose Bar, the ghetto nights of Atl, where women are approached to name their price! The weed smell is awful, atl police in the house and they seem to blend in! Only good thing is Hookah, but this bar is trashy, and if you don’t believe me ask Mr. Patel one of the owners. He is one sexist, arrogant, pig with an awful body odor!!! He thinks women are beneath him. If this is the way this bar wants to operate, than I shall never come…

Blah. My girls and I went on Friday night. The crowd was mature, everyone dressed nicely. A few VIP sections, otherwise no place to sit.
For starters, the bar has valet parking for $ 5. We got a hookah for $ 30. The coals are free, however, we would only get one coal each time someone came around to change the coal; thus, the smoke wasn’t too strong. His rationale was the flavor would burn too quickly, not necessarily, but whatever.
After waiting for several minutes to get a drink, I finally squeezed between the rude bitties taking up bar space and not actually ordering drinks. Even after saying excuse me, these chicks didn’t try to move an inch! My Ciroc with a splash of pineapple was $ 11-​small cup filled with ice, not even to the brim. I asked the barista to top me off with Ciroc because the drink was weak and she replied she already did her pour. Silly girl, maybe you would have gotten a better tip! All I ask for is a full cup, sheesh!
The music was just ok. Lots of throwback R&B and hip-​hop, I mean I love to swag-​n-​surf, but gimme some new ish too!!!
While leaving, there was a very belligerent female trying to attack a gentlemen working at the Valet stand in the rain. The staff were threatening to call police on her. Not sure what pissed her off, but she made a lot of commotion, falling on the ground and all.
Cool spot to hit up if your bored and want to get out for some ok music, ok drinks, and ok hookah. Not sure if I’ll make it back!

Great time at the Rose Bar, good variety of people of all ages and background. Dj keep the tunes going all night great music selection. It’s a happy medium not too turned up

This place is hit or miss with the music. I usually go on Friday nights and I still haven’t had as good of a time there as the first time I went a few months ago. It’s kind of cramped and it’s so annoying when the security guy follows you with the flashlight and you have nowhere to move.

1^st Experience
Parking
I circled the building a few times and I’m glad because all of the people in front of me the first time I got in line were told the lots full, but when I came back I was at the front of the line. It took about 10 – 15 minutes to valet park, while I sat on the street waiting on them to allow me into the lot.
Attire
Everything everyone is saying about Rose Bar and their dress code is 100% correct. It’s ridiculous. I wore a regular behind $ 4 tank, some jeans and heels and got in, no problem. My friend was turned away because she had a college football team on her shirt. Apparently, sports logos aren’t allowed. She was told she couldn’t turn the shirt in side out either. So she went to the car and did exactly what they said she couldn’t do (turned the shirt inside out) and threw a sweater on (in the summer time) with her beach sandals and got in. All of my friends wore sandals and jeans. Let me add that this place was not on our agenda, we planned to go to see a movie then bowl, that’s it.
Atmosphere
We got inside it’s SUPER tiny, standing room and people are bumping into you everywhere. Nothing else to write home about. I know getting knocked around in heels *with no where to sit) was no fun, so I figured if I come back I’d be more comfortable. Friday night it’s kind of mixed, but there are a lot of Africans there,
2^nd Experience
Everything everyone is saying about Rose Bar and their dress code is 100% correct. It’s ridiculous. So, females are not allowed to wear sneakers, but males can. Now I can understand not be able to wear running shoes, but in this day and time they have «fashion sneakers» out that are really cute and are worn for style. I wore some high tops with chains and studs on them and of course I was denied entry, because I was too casual. I also had on a skirt and a jersey material crop top that hung off my shoulders, which was also not allowed. The last time I went i wore a regular behind $ 4 tank, some jeans and heels and got in. So the fact that I came in a cute outfit & was told I can’t get in, vs wearing something I thew on and would wear to Wal-​Mart and got in baffles me. Security said wear heels every time just to be safe that we get in. Apparently they have a certain clientele they want to attract and girls in sneakers bring down their property value.
My friend had on the correct attire and was meeting someone there, so my other friend and I told her to go in and we will wait outside for her. It was almost closing time and watching drunk people leave the club is always fun, so we waited outside.
Now, while standing out there I watched some guys in white tees, jogging pants and sneakers get in. (I guess they want that whole dope dealer, trap queen crowd I don’t know.) I also heard them tell another girl with sneakers (apparently they were Giuseppe or something super expensive bc she said «my shoes cost more than half these *b word* outfits), shorts and a button down shirt (that was open) that she could get in, but her friend who had on the same exact thing, but a regular pair of sneaker wedges that she couldn’t get in. If you want to go, I have no idea what to tell you to wear if you want to be comfortable and have fun because we haven’t gotten it right yet.
Watching the ladies «crawl» out of there because their feet hurt, carry their shoes in their hands and walk either barefoot or out in flip flops was hilarious. I’m just like I can’t with these people. Rose Bar, I’m good on you. If I come back I’m wearing my Sunday’s best, complete w/​grandma hat and gloves, just to ensure I meet your RI-​DAM-​DICULOUS dress code.

Really enjoyed my time at Rose Bar. It seems that they have a different theme every night. I went on a saturday and it was pretty packed. It is a very small place with a mixed crowd — in age and ethnicity
Ouside: has a loungy feel with sofas, hookah, drinks and music (soft hip hop/​Top 40)
Inside: Club like — Top 40 and dancing.
There isn’t really a designated dancefloor so you technically dance at your standing location. When it’s packed, the whole place becomes the actual dancefloor.
I honesly enjoyed being outside a lot more than being in. On a night when the weather is nice, it’s totally worth trying. Entrance is free, valet parking is $ 5.

This review is for late night. This is a safe nightlife spot like a reliable backup.
Music: 4 on an average night. Mostly hiphop, old school RnB and top 40. Some random nights have featured DJs that throws me off like international dj on valentine 2015 and the Indian pop non stop music.
Ambience: 4. People are well dressed. Crowd is mixed. Mostly millennials. Lots of hookah smoking at the back.
Service: 3. Typical club. Table service or go to the bar. No unnecessary long lines to get in.

Rose Bar is okay. I’m not dying to go back. I went here on a Saturday night the good thing is it’s free to get in all night for everyone. The DJ was decent and played a good variety of songs. I just wish he/​she let the songs stay on a little longer. Like as soon as I’d hear my song… it changed to something else. Their bartenders are good. They remember your face and your drink. It’s nice to not have to wait all day for a drink. The place can get a bit crowed – it’s kinda small. People tend to stand along the walls. There aren’t many places to sit unless you get a section. So, Ladies wear shoes you can last a few hours in. I remember going when it was Beluga Bar and seemed like it was bigger then. There’s a small bathroom in the back with basically no line. I don’t think most people realize it’s there. I wasn’t able to use it though because a drunk girl passed out in there. They sell hookah for $ 30. The crowd was mixed.
Valet parking is $ 5 – not bad considering it’s $ 10 to park yourself next door.

Friday night –parking was awkward and the place was packed. NO COVER charge!
The DJ was on some energy vibes and the crowd seemed around 21 to 30 mostly.
I saw Gabrielle Union in the VIP about 3 feet away and I was in awe the rest of the night. (She looks so young in person but still gorg!)
The 2 bars move drinks out slow for such crowds. I appreciate the house like feel inside but it get’s awkwardly packed at times. Unsure as to whether or not I will return.
