The food made up for the lack of atmosphere. The service was very friendly and the tostones were the best I’ve had in ATL(outside of mine) The pork was tender but the beef had cinnamon undertones. Definetly not a two star restaurant. Being Latina I can be pretty unforgiving with wanna be Latino chefs. This place has a lot of potential once they improve their physical appearance. A few cosmetic twicks and you have the perfect combination. Definitely an improvement location wise their old location in the strip mall was not very inviting. I also like the original art work but again it looks odd with the old booths an ceiling. Overall I will return if anything else to see if they updated their look.

I havent been here in a few years. Now I remember why. Everything is pretty unremarkable. I had a scoutmob for here so I thought I would visit again. Had the queso and the tacos. I am not even going into any detail because It wasnt anything at all special. I dont know how the place stays in business with La Parilla and Nuevo Laredo so close. I agree with Christopher P, the décor is whack and it was dead inside. but of course there were kids running around. Now I remember that from years ago, too many damn kids. Also, there was complete silence thru half the meal, finally someone turned on the music to make it less creepy. I felt like they were closed. It… just…wasnt… i am glad I had had the scoutmob to discount my meal or i would have been kind of pissed.

cuban sangwich + i don’t have anything else to add = I don’t think it’s a two star. The sangwich is pretty delish, and the mojo\fat dipping sauce is a huge plus. Resto décor is pretty wack and there were only 2 other tables in there from 12−1… which scared me at first. blah blah blah… go here if you have no where else to go

I had the lunch special of ¼ Mojo chicken, which I fully expected to be flavorful, and perhaps a bit spicy. Unfortunately it was neither. Instead, it tasted like regular old grocery store chicken. Additionally it was all dark meat; the menu did not mention this, and the waiter did not ask me if I preferred white meat(which I do). The side of rice and beans was a good-sized portion, but equally disappointing. It had better flavor, but it was nothing special or unique. I have a friend who loves this place, but it just wasn’t for me.
