The food was amazing. We had all the must haves. The only complaint is that our server kept trying to take our plates away when there was still good food on it. They are small portions bc they are tapas.

Have only been twice but I will definitely be going more often. Went after work on a Saturday. Was at about 70% so no wait for table or bar. I just had a beer but they have a good selection of local craft beers which I prefer. Had steak tartare and a pork belly cooked in duckfat to eat. Steak tartare was so So. Needed something more salty in it. The pork belly was perfection. Perfect size serving and consistency and perfectly cooked. Would go Back just for that. I plan to come more regularly since I work a block away and they have a good happy hour. I like all of the restaurants in this area and have been to all a couple of times. I would say this one is my favorite mostly because I think they have the best service.

I love going to tapas restaurants so I was excited to try Saltyard. I ordered their poke tacos, flash fried brussels, duck confit, mushroom pappardelle pasta. Poke Taco — This is definitely a memorable plate. Every Unilocal review seems to talk about it and for good reason. You will want to order this! Beautifully balanced flavors with a nice little kick in spice. Flash Fried Brussel Sprouts — if you are a Brussel Sprout fan, you will enjoy this dish. These brussels are roasted and have a slight tangy/sweet balsamic glaze. Duck confit — I was quite disappointed with this plate as the duck was salty and quite dry. There were a couple bites where I had to drink a ton of water to wash down the salt left on my palate. Mushroom Pappardelle Pasta — I really enjoyed this plate. The pappardelle pasta was cooked perfectly and the mushroom cream sauce was just delicious. Saltyard is located on the ground floor of the brookwood highrise condominium. Complimentary valet parking is also available in the garage(don’t forget to tip). My waiter was attentive and friendly. Service was great aside from an unusually long lag time between my 3rd and 4th plate. At saltyard, orders come out one by one as they are ready. However, I think I ended up waiting almost 20 minutes between my 3rd and 4th plate.

Saltyard was a delightful surprise in the Buckhead. Located near some of the heavy hitters in the area like Watershed and down the street from Holeman and Finch, it can be easy to miss it. My date took me here and it was a nice time. There was a «Monday Night Date Night» special going on, which we were both unaware about, so we took advantage of the $ 25 special. We each ordered a cocktail: him, a whiskey concoction(Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) while I ordered a gin cocktail«A Step in the Right Direction.» I was a huge fan of my cocktail — can’t go wrong with gin and St. Germain’s. We took a while choosing our different apps and dishes, but ended up ordering small plates tapa style to share. We ordered: Salmon«poke» tacos — I don’t know why they had to put«poke» in quotations — it was essentially poke, not«like» «poke». One of the highlights of the night were the salmon poke tacos, from the crispy taco shell to the salty salmon filling. Definitely a must order! Ahi Tuna Tartare — pretty tasty, although not on the level of the poke tacos. I liked the crunch of the peanuts and the spicy chili along with the miso aioli. A little different take on what should have been a typical dish. Flash Fried Brussels — soooo good. But nothing I hadn’t tried before. If you’re struggling to find some veggies to go with your meal, you can never with fried veggies. Burrata — this was probably the redheaded stepchild of the meal. It was just so much cheese and so little everything else. One or two bites was nice but more than that became annoying, but we couldn’t get rid of it. Maybe avoid this one unless you want to be nursing a huge blob of cheese all night. Pan Roasted Scallops — omg. One of the best dishes of the night. $ 13 for a great small plate, with heavy garlic flavors that didn’t overwhelm everything else. The seared scallops sat on a bed of farroto– and I’m a huge farro enthusiast. Crispy Gulf Oysters — not bad. I’ve had better but this was still a tasty rendition. Not super memorable, though. Black Linguine — unexpectedly delicious. Even though we had made reservations at Boccalupo the next evening, we just had to. The linguine was perfectly al dente. Seafood was fresh. Everything was buttery and smooth. A great carb option, especially if you’re still hungry, which we were stuffed at this point. We couldn’t resist ordering the S’mores bread pudding. Ok, more like I couldn’t resist. It was rich and decadent and delicious. You can’t go wrong with this one. I also decided to order the zeppolis, which were topped with rhubarb and brown butter crumble. I loved the crumble and the crunch of the rhubarb with bite of fried cinnamon dough. However, at the end of the dessert, I was left with a pile of rhubarb, which was not exactly my favorite on its own. Maybe a disproportion, but I felt bad leaving so much rhubarb on my plate. My one thing is I couldn’t get over how they charged us for our food. We ordered way too much food, thinking we would be able to use the $ 25 special for both of us — I mean, $ 50 for the 8 dishes we ordered was a steal(with the black linguine as an extra order). However, since our server didn’t explain the Monday Night Date Night special to us properly, we were charged for each dish a la carte. Even after pointing it out to him, he ended up still charging 4 of the dishes we ordered a la carte. If there could be more of a standard menu to choose from, it would be more helpful and less confusing for Saltyard noobs like us. We ordered way too much food — but hey, that’s the«SOML» of a true Unilocaler.

We called on short notice for a reservation and got 7 people seated half an hour later at a nice table. The staff was very friendly. The drinks and food were great.

Superb! Fantastic! Wow! In town for business and some colleagues suggested to stop in here for some food and drinks. I must say, very great suggestion and so glad I took their advice. I was able to make it for the end of the«Happy Hour», but did stay for some time after to try additional items. The following are what I tried: «Cheddar-bay» biscuits, Deviled Farm eggs, Ahi Tuna Tartare, Raw Oysters, Stuffed Piquillo, Peppers Charcuterie(3 items), and Sliders This may sound like a lot, but when sharing with others and the plates are small, it all just adds up to a regular meal. Out of all of the items, the only one I did not care for was the Piquillo Peppers, as I did not enjoy the taste of the filling. Otherwise, everything was amazing. Plating & presentation was spot on, as well as the taste. Service was also perfect, couldn’t not have asked for more on that front. Always had a full drink, and a fresh glass of water to rinse the palate with. If in the Atlanta area and looking for something slightly different, yet familiar, this is a must!

This place is really amazing! I have founded this place due to my friends. They advised me it. I think that the food here yammy and mouthwatering. The service here is high-classes. We went here in the middle of day and it is very good because here we saw not many people and I am happy about it. I give to it 5 stars. Recommend!

After a long flight from the west coast, we found this great restaurant/bar! We had several different starters and the Mushroom Toast was fabulous, I needed a biscuit to sop up the gravy(sauce). We met the guests at the next table and they advised us to order, without fail the grilled corn dish– fantastic! It was grilled and cut off the cob, mixed with a sauce and presented unmolded in a mound. Try this place, yum!

Had a group dinner here. We had the back room set up just for our group. The servers were amazing. Very attentive and helpful. We had set appetizers, a limited first course and second course dinner choices(3 choices for each), and set desserts. I had one of their cocktails, a step in the right direction: hendricks gin, cucumber, st. germain, mint, simple syrup, lime. It was really good. Super light and refreshing. The appetizers we received were apple bruchetta, deviled eggs, and the caprese salad skewers. The apple bruchetta is AHMAZING. So good. Hot, crispy, had a ton of flavor and was something different than normal. Deviled eggs were also good. The caprese salad skewers had zero flavor. I would have been very disappointed if this was my only appetizer. My friend and I split the sunchokes and brussel sprouts as our first course. They were both delicious. I was very happy with the flavors and the presentation of both. They had a good amount of food. For the final course, I ordered the scallops, I was very disappointed with these. There were 3 little scallops ontop of some ‘cauliflower purée’ it was not very good. It was cold and didn’t taste very fresh. The desserts were all quite tasty. I had some of the chocolate nemesis and the s’mores bread pudding, both were awesome. They were a good portion size. Overall, I would go back. but wouldn’t get the scallops nor the caprese salad. It had a great atmosphere and looked like it was good for groups, parties, and individuals.

Why did it take so long to go? So good — plenty of selection in dishes, portion size and prices. Much better from taste and selection than another place around the block that serves spanish tapas. Gnocchi with lamb/beef ragu. Yes Mushroom toast. Yes Deviled eggs. Yes Brussel Sprouts. Yes Grilled cauliflower. Yes Fish tacos. Yes Neeeeeddd to go back!

Making last minute plans for New Years Eve leaving Kansas City traveling to Atlanta was quite the task three days out! After searching online for countless hours and reading reviews of several events, we opted for the path less traveled… to bring in the new year in a restaurant. There were several choices and hefty price tags! Once I located Salt Yard I immediately logged on to Unilocal to see what fellow Unilocalers had to say. All in all the reviews were decent. I called the restaurant and was greeted by friendly staff. Explained the revel and the guy was more than happy to book me for a 9pm dinner for two. We arrived to an awesome acoustic band and were immediately seated. The ambiance was nice not too busy not too down. Just right for the couple looking for great food and a good time Our waitress was attentive and the service was steady. Being able to choose 5 tapa style dishes with nice protons led to use being full by the third of five courses. The cocktails were keenly named for the foodie with new year resolutions. I sipped on the«step in the right direction» while enjoying the complimentary champagne. We truly enjoyed the cheese plate it was indeed fantastic! The ceviche, Brussels sprouts, kale salad, grilled shrimp… the trout was a surprise but I ate in anyway. All in all the pricing was great the balloon drop was a nice added touch and We will definitely be back to the salt yard. Great food awesome staff and excellent start to 2016!

After having dinner elsewhere, we came to Saltyard looking for drinks but ended up eating again. I mean, coming here and not trying their food would be a colossal sin. We had the scallop ceviche and it was pretty amazing. The scallop itself was soft, juicy, briny, while not being too fishy. Overall, It was sweet, had a little bit of a kick, and was almost therapeutic. We also had the pimento bruschetta, which was like a grilled cheese on crack. Finally the atmosphere was really nice and is good for both groups and dates.

I am indeed a fan of Saltyard, particularly for their great happy hour specials and relaxed yet still«nice» atmosphere. The $ 5 glasses of wine from 5−7pm combined with the small space make it my go to spot for blind dates: you’ll easily find each other at the small bar or high top area, they have live music in case conversation is stilted but isn’t so loud that you can’t hear each other, you have a built in cut off time of 7pm when the happy hour specials end if it’s going badly, and, if it’s going well, the date can easily morph from happy hour into small plates and dessert. Yep, pretty much ideal in my book. Oh, and did I mention free valet and self parking? And $ 1 oysters? Yeah, this spot is a winner. Mixed drinks take a little time here, so be prepared to wait, but other than that, the service is flawless and friendly. The food is delicious too, whether you’re sampling $ 1 oysters during happy hour, or any of the seasonal small plates off the big-but-not-too big dinner menu. Foodies and picky eaters alike can find something they’ll like here.

I was very pleased with my experience and would return. I have a couple of critical comments, but overall, I really enjoyed my meal. The brussel sprouts were delicious, but a bit greasy. I’m no chef, but it seems that the oil could be cut down on. The sliders were good, not particularly memorable, but good. The corn was the same. I really enjoyed the stuffed dates, my cocktail, and — particularly — the atmosphere. The menu was very enticing. I would definitely return to try more items. I thought the prices were fair as well. This seems like a great place for a date. Small plates are always good for conversation!

Big fan of this place. Went here for graduation celebration and the food was so good! My favorite was the salmon poke in which I ordered two portions of. The concept behind Saltyard is very tapas-like…small dishes meant to share and the sort. I ordered the kale as well which was flash fried. It was a tad too greasy for my liking. Scallops tasted a wee bit fishier than we would have hoped for. Service was stellar and was what made the experience evermore memorable.

Nice place, not too loud(unless there’s a crowded Unilocal event). I haven’t been here for dinner but have stopped in for drinks and appetizers. $ 1 oysters during happy hour — fresh tasting, with two good sauces. Very nice. Lots of other apps and small plates — Brussels sprouts, octopus perfectly cooked(which is hard to find), beef carpaccio, all good. Table service in the bar area is spot on, although getting a drink was a bit slow. Our server seemed to have to prod the bartender to fill the order. Not a big deal. Valet parking is free(except the tip) and convenient. Both times I’ve been here, my car has was received and delivered without much wait at all. Recommended. Everything I’ve tasted here has been great.

I was not expecting to be greeted by King Horse Humungous, as he’s known in Norse folklore, the moment we set foot into this restaurant. But there he was — four hooves and 600-pounds of HGH fueled muscle staring me right in the goddamn face. «This is an omen. The Drowned God is smiling upon us,» I told my cousin, who insisted we get liquored up following our meal and ride a similar horse, one that’s not a painting, through the Georgia countryside. But before our horse thievery and subsequent riding, we were gonna need some sustenance and several stiff drinks, and Saltyard delivered. Me and my family of horse-painting enthusiasts started with an excellent charcuterie plate, which did not contain any horse meat, for that would have been an unforgivable sin against Pan the Goat God and all his marvelous creations. What it did deliver, though, was a dense, nutty cheese(my absolute favorite) paired with crusty bread and above-average prosciutto. The brussels sprouts were also fantastic, probably the best thing we ordered and far superior to the unremarkable, yet serviceable, steak tartare. I was on my third drink by the time the grilled octopus and squid ink pasta arrived at the table, but I remember liking them way better than the run-of-the-mill green beans and empanada. The green beans and empanada made me wish we ordered another charcuterie plate or more brussels sprouts instead. Regardless of the few misses, this was an enjoyable night perfect for horse thieves and lovers of small plates.

Getting to the restaurant was easy, finding where it’s actually located inside the building was confusing. We parked on the street rather than inside the parking structure so that’s why we didn’t see signs and arrows that directed the customers to either the Watershed restaurant or Saltyard. We are walking towards water shed and I’m looking at the address and they are the same exact addresses. So in my head I’m thinking did they close? Or did they change there name? I’m like nah let’s walk into the parking garage maybe this is like a hotel building or something. And yuppp It was on the other side of the building, through the parking garage. We walked to the front and inside looked packed, I was a little worried because we didn’t have reservations. Lucky for us they let us sit at the last two person table which was right in front next to the hostesses stand. We started off with shots. We asked for Henny but they didn’t have it. The bartender came by to tell us personally, we asked if there was remy or even blue label… Nope and nope. She went back to check what she had and I was thinking she was going to come back with more suggestions but instead she poured us two mysterious shots… I can’t even tell you what kind it was. I didn’t like it but I wasn’t mad about it. Things we ordered, Steak frites– really delicious, great flavor. The fries were crispy and I loved the ranch dressing with it. The spinach in a vinaigrette was different. Lots of salt on it. It was good but I knew after eating here tonight I will need lots of water in my system. Toasted bread– toasted soft bread with a roasted garlic that is spreadable and a cheese spread. I’m not exactly sure what kind it was but this would be a great starter. Seared scallops– this was my least favorite one, my bf said his scallop tasted chemically and I said my scallop tasted like it was straight from the ocean. Brussels sprouts– in a sweet soy, oh my goodness, soooo tasty. I ate all of it! Duck confit– the duck was great, super tasty, skin was a little crispy, it couldve been crispier. The cabbage salad it sat in was tossed in some kind of wasabi sauce. I hate the taste of wasabi. Fish tacos– the fish is breaded heavily which gives it that Big Crunch, but also makes it dry. I would’ve liked a little more of the jalapeño sauce on it. Overall I had a nice experience here. I liked some things and disliked others. I’d probably come back just for the Brussels sprouts

Albeit we came in for a private event on a Sunday, the food, drink, and service were great! Parking in the area may be tough, but there’s a garage here that is convenient but probably packed on busy nights. We shared the small plates of street-style corn, lamb kebabs, and the croque monsieur. The corn was good and a great take to the traditional cream-style corn. The croque monsieur was the highlight with their take on a classic breakfast dish. Finally, the lamb kebabs were ok but cooked to your desired temp. I would come back next time we’re in the area. Not sure though how they stack up on prices compared to other good nearby restaurants. I’ll update the review after a «normal» visit.

I came here with low expectations because my girlfriend had a bad experience here three years ago. She and I walked out happy and fulfilled with what Saltyard had to offer. The cocktail selection was girl-friendly and tasty. We loved the It’s Just Peachy cocktail we had that coming all night. With a table of ten girls, we tried just about everything on that menu. It was all amazing, flavorful, unique and delicious! What? You think girls don’t eat? Instead if describing what I ate, how about checking out my photos? My favorites were the corn, oysters, empanadas, shrooms and toast, pimento cheese bread and well, everything. We ate more but was not photographed. The dessert selection was as good as it sounds. The staff was great. What I didn’t like was that the two restrooms are unisex. No one likes to clean the toilet after a dude’s messy spill especially while I’m dining out.
