I live two blocks from here and the 20th of November was the first time I had been here. I am disappointed with myself for having waited so long… I really am. On the 20th Ria(the chef) held a viewing party for her appearance, and eventual win, of the Food Network show«Chopped.» Several local restaurants had food available and it was a fund raiser for something that I am not sure of. I know there were marbles for voting and $ 1 PBRs… Now, to my meal there tonight. We started with drinks, I got an Indochine, a coconut water/cucumber rum nummy thing. Our appetizer was the Meat Up, a charcuterie plate of various meats and cheeses, a perfect way to start out meal. Local cheeses and the meats are from the Spotted Trotter… so good. We split the Seafood Chowder and the Beef Short Rib Wellington with Brussel Sprouts. The chowder was so rich and the seafood was delicate… the clams had some grit, which can be the worst experience… but it was very good. The wellington was so well made and tender, the gravy was crazy good, and the sprouts cooked perfectly. We will be back.
