My aunts 65th birthday party was held on the rooftop, when I started the review two years ago. Not sure how it got lost in the review shuffle. Now the place is closed. When they were open, it always seemed packed when driving by. I mean line out the door, gotta have too many people on that rooftop kinda packed. I heard they use to do day parties with cabanas with drink parties and those were some of the best parties to attend there. Seemed like a really nice place. Since we were there for a private party, I cant really review the food, as what we had was buffet style and none of it is memorable at this point. I do recall friendly bartenders and good champagne.

Good sushi. They also have a good variety. The ambience is good. I like the red booths though the seats could be cleaned more often. Good, clean bathroom as well. I’ve been here several times and would come back again.

Went to Shout while on a work trip last week to Atlanta. Received a recommendation for this place and our group thought we should try it out. We came in on a Tuesday and it was basically empty, which made us second guess ourselves, but it was a Tuesday. Once the waiter came over and took our drinks and the highest level of vodka they had was Belvedere, we were already unimpressed. Our server was less than helpful, over-the-top, and didn’t know much about the drinks and/or food. Once we received the food it was okay, not horrible, but with the overall experience, it was not a good choice. Our group left asking how we failed so hard?!

This is a great big room with a nice ambiance. Shout restaurant features a nice sized upbeat and modern«big room» setting that offers affordable average food with slow service. Overpriced valet parking outside($ 10) will likely be needed to attend your«I can’t afford a fancier birthday party for a group of ten on a weekend» event. They also offer an average tasting full birthday cake to accommodate your budget birthday party; no chucky cheese for you! #shout

The food was pretty good, but not absolutely awesome. The service was not great at all. I’m speaking from the roof top dining experience only. I think the rooftop should be for people looking to just chill out with beverages and conversation. Plainly put, the waitresses are just too stretched out on the rooftop. We literally waited for 20 minutes just to get our water and soda order. No refills whatsoever, and not enough table attention from the waitress.

i’ll make this quick, much like the way that they treated our group there. Food — I feel like I have had better food at an Applebee’s while in college. Atmosphere — it looks like something from a 1998 porn set. Phallic light fixtures, oversized plush furniture– wow is this the spice girls tour bus? Staff — rude, unhelpful, and oddly irritating when it comes to taking orders with large groups. Prize — is it really supposed to be this expensive to come here when it’s mediocre at best? Sure I get it, there’s dancing upstairs… But even I don’t want to go up there because it’s too chaotic and nothing but pandemonium and crazy people who don’t like it when a white folks arrive

Had my birthday dinner at Shout Saturday night. It was my first time there, and everybody was nice. The food was good no complaints there. Had a glass of wine that was great and a strawberry lemon drop martini that was great. The music was just ok, good mixed crowd of people, lot of birthday party’s. A patron sitting at the bar tried to scam me out of sixty dollars to pay for her meal but I had to turn her down. Other than that I loved the place, would difinately come back.

I have been here before, but forgot to review. I was here again last week on 7÷17÷14 for a late birthday dinner and the Crunchee flash fried roll and salad were soo good. The crab dip with the pita bread was good and the Blue lagoon or Blue alcohol beverage was delicious. I did receive the free strawberry cheesecake for my Birthday which was nice but I am not a cheesecake person boo! Anyway, the server was nice, he actually got one of my Cammi cupcakes and was pleasant overall. We did make reservations, but there was plenty of seating, so not sure what that was about. Anyway, Shout is agood place to visit, parking can be costly, but otherwise everything is ok.

Went to Shout for birthday dinner celebration. Booked reservation thru Open Table with no issues. Arrived and table was ready pending arrival of my guests. Food was okay, could’ve used a little more seasoning but well presented. Waiter service was decent & prices weren’t too bad. Drinks were also pretty good. Due to it being a little chilly Saturday nite we did venture to todo where Dj was. Set up was nice with a full bar. Will try again. Would recommend.

The atmosphere on Shout’s upstairs patio is AMAZING!!! It is good for large and small parties. We hosted an event for the Georgia Association of Black Women Attorneys here, and the staff’s service was SUPERB. As the committee chairs, my friend and I arrived early for the set up process. From the moment we walked upstairs to the patio, we were greeted by none other than Mr. Patrick. Patrick was our party’s guardian angle. He took such good care of us the whole night. He was setting things up directing the team with a smooth military precision. We stood and just watched it all come together seamlessly right before our very eyes. His work ethic, professionalism and party charm truly elevated our(already pretty fly) event. Remember those old-school prohibition movies, where the protagonist walks down an ominous dark alley, knocks on a random door three times, says a secret password, and the door fling open only to reveal a vibrant party going on inside. Shout’s upstairs patio channels this energy perfectly! Downstairs is very serene and quiet for a nice classy dinner. Then you walk upstairs… and the ambience immediately changes — very lively and vibrant.(Best of both worlds.) Once you walk upstairs and turn the corner for the rooftop patio, there is an oasis of food, drink, live music, and a lively crowd. We were beyond delighted! The aura in this place says ‘too cool for school.’ Me eyes and ears feasted on an assorted of food that Patrick had laid out, fantastic music(thanks DJ Technology from V. 103), laughing folks at the bar sipping on beautifully crafted cocktails, couples swooning as they gaze into each other’s eyes over dinner. Beautiful! Our bellies feasted on — tuna tataki wonton, mini crab cakes, assorted brick oven pizzas, tahini hummus and the delectable Parmesan bruschetta. Everything was to die for! The mini crabs cakes were a treat rivaling Boston’s seafood and the tuna wonton was a perfect compliment(especially for the vegetarian guest). The parmesan bruschetta was a definite party favorite. Patrick had to keep refilling that platter. All night Patrick catered to our needs and made everyone feel like VIP. The manager Rickey came out and greeted us and made sure we were beyond satisfied. It was a good night. We sipped on wine, mojitos, lemon drop martinis and every other drink imaginable. The bartenders were friendly, fast, professionals that are absolutely great at their job. They made some beautiful drinks! The allure of Shout’s upstairs patio is irresistible! It is the perfect spot for after work cocktails, day parties, or just a good midtown meal. Thanks Shout for the amazing experience!!!

Nice place to stop after a day at the botanical garden on way back to Marta station. Friendly wait staff and good food. Nothing bad to say about this restaurant. Price was acceptable. Not yearning to rush back to Midtown to eat here but if we find ourselves in the area and are hungry, will stop in again. Favorite entrée…Blackened Mahi Mahi. Very good and well priced at $ 18.00.

I wish I could give shout 3.5 stars! Not quite a 4 star place but a little better than above average. I’m a friend of Tom’s so I frequest his establishments. While Strip is my favorite Shout used to come close. I like the rooftop bar and dance floor but it’s lost its edge in the 4 years I’ve been here. The dinner portion is okay and the party upstairs is barely mediocre nowadays. I won’t frequent as much but I won’t ever rule Shout out…

This was between a 1 and 2, but rounding up because my friend had a good time. I came here for a friend’s bachelorette party and we had a fairly large table. The service was probably worst I’ve seen in a long time and the server spoke so strangely(he was American), that I could not place the accent or really understand him. He would disappear for long stretches at a time, and we had to ask for our check after 45 minutes of waiting after our meal was over. The manager did not want to take credit cards because«it would take too much time,» but fortunately we had cash. The food was a whole lotta miss and a little bit of hits. Many things tasted like they took large packets of lean cuisine and put them on a plate. We had a fixed price menu which consisted of an appetizer(spinach/cheese dip), dinner, and soda/tea for $ 32.50. I thought this arrangement was a terrible deal. I had the chicken fried chicken with a side of mashed potatoes and green beans. The green beans were well prepared and crunchy, but the mashed potatoes and the chicken were the saltiest things I’ve ever tasted. The gravy was that strange brown color you get when you reconstitute a dry package, and it tasted exactly like that. The chicken alfredo pasta was even worse as the noodles were overdone and the sauce tasted like it came out of a can. The pizza was also bland and not something I would recommend. The shrimp and grits with the andouille sausage was decent, and if given the option to reorder, I would get this dish. The grits were a little heavy on the creaminess but still good. The steak salad was also ok but nothing to write home about. The drink options were nicely named and funny but all of them were so sweet. Overall, I think this place is good if you have a large group but don’t come in with any expectations.

The only thing I didn’t like about shout was the clientele to bathroom stall ratio was not good. Great atmosphere, decent prices, great location, parking was easy if you don’t use the valet service which is $ 10 but it’s pretty much the same fee in the public parking garages so just get your car valet parked. I would recommend this for«grown and sexy» events . I am definitely coming here again.

A girlfriend of mine had her birthday dinner here yesterday. I’ve been here before, but it’s been years. She had reservations for 9pm but they wouldn’t seat us until the whole party showed up. The whole party showed up around 9:30 but we weren’t seated until around 10pm. Boo. It was a good thing that I had eaten a little earlier that evening or else I would have been STARVING! Once seated, our water glasses were filled immediately. We were given a little of time to decide on what we wanted. I decided to share some sushi with another girlfriend of mine. We had the tuna tataki, the spicy tuna roll and the volcano roll. The tuna tataki was ok, I’ve had better. The rolls were pretty good though. Service was ok, the waitress forgot the sriracha that I had requested and wasn’t really attentive. We had to wait awhile for our checks and she ended up messing up on my check. She had put a roll on there that I hadn’t ordered. She did fix the mistake when I brought it to her attention. I’d come back but I definitely wouldn’t go out of my way to come here.

I really feel sorry for the servers here because I can only imagine the things they deal with on a daily basis, but especially on the weekend. That’s when people who don’t live in Midtown come here to have a good time. That sounds fine until you realize that their version of a good time is likely much different than your version. I feel like their version involves drinking at home before going out and then coming to a restaurant like Shout a little buzzed and easily agitated. If they order a full meal, they probably start eating and find something to complain about because they think it will get them a free drink to make up for the food. I’m part making this story up in my head, but lots of the details are actually based on stuff I’ve seen happen here. Two things at Shout are pretty solid: the valet guys at the front are on their game & private parties/special events on their second floor with the rooftop patio. Everything else I could take or leave.

I’ve been to shout many, many times. The food is average but the atmosphere is pretty nice. Love the open upstairs area for views and drinks. My fave thing about Shout is the $ 10 all you can eat sushi on weekdays for lunch. It’s a great deal and the sushi is tasty. The only downside is having to pay for parking, which deters me from going more often.

I’ve been here a few times and the food is just ok. I remember when it first opened and Shout was the«it» place for happy hours and late nights … now you probably don’t have to make reservations. If you’re into deals. Here to Serve restaurants do have fun specials like Twist’s $ 10AYCE tapas on Sundays, and Shout’s $ 10AYCE sushi for Mon-Fri lunch. The $ 10AYCE sushi includes 1 salad w/ginger dressing, 1 miso soup, and 7 different sushi — except they’ll only let you order 4 rolls at a time. Also keep in mind each roll is just 4 pieces(not 8). I liked the salad, the miso soup was super salty(but the enoki mushrooms were a nice addition), and the sushi was just ok. 4 rolls were plenty for me and I got the crunchee(good), tempura salmon(good), fresh salmon(ok), and spicy tuna(tasted weird … I was scared to finish). I probably wouldn’t get this again. I did admire my co-worker’s Prosciutto and Arugula Pizza — it really did look good and I’d probably get pizza next time. At my last visit back in Jan 2012, i did get the Scottish Salmon w/Grilled Vegetable Orzo Pasta and Ruby Port Butter($ 14) which was pretty good — except I was lucky enough to have a Scoutmob otherwise I think the food in general here is pricey for lunch.

A group of ten of us came to Shout on Friday night as part of a friend’s farewell party. One of my friends had made a reservation for 8 pm. Although some of us were on time, others were late — so we weren’t seated until our entire party had arrived about half an hour later. Thankfully, they didn’t cancel our reservation or anything. They were very accommodating, which we appreciated. Since it was almost 9 pm when we were finally ready to order our food, I didn’t feel like getting something too large or heavy. After glancing at the menu and being indecisive for a few minutes, I settled on the Grilled Chicken Panini with the aioli on the side. It didn’t take too long for our food to be prepared and served. * Grilled Chicken Panini($ 11) — Per the menu description, this warm, pressed sandwich contains«mozzarella, aioli, & pesto» along with the grilled chicken. It came with fries and the aioli sauce was served on the side as I had requested. I was surprisingly impressed with the sandwich! First of all, it was a lot more food than I had expected! I had anticipated a small, flattened sandwich with fries, but this was more like two sandwiches! I enjoyed the flavor of the pesto spread in the panini, and I liked that I could put as much aioli sauce on each bite as I wanted. The fries were okay, but the aioli sauce made it tastier. I’m definitely a fan and would order this again! I also tried a slice of my friend’s Prosciutto pizza. This pizza includes arugula, mozzarella, and pomodoro in addition to the prosciutto topping. I love arugula, but my friends and I agreed that it tasted out of place with the pizza. Although I ate the entire slice, it was just«OK» and I wouldn’t order this myself. Our server was great about providing separate checks and a to-go box for my leftover panini. An 18% gratuity was included in our checks for being part of a large group. After dinner, my friends wanted to check out the bar and dance floor upstairs. I thought it was an «OK» place to hang out after our dinner, but it wasn’t a place that I wanted to stay at for longer than an hour. We didn’t, and I don’t think that I would go out of my way to specifically come back to the upstairs area. Overall, Shout gets 3.5 stars for being better than«OK» but I’m not too crazy about the place. I hate it when you have to valet/pay for parking($ 10!!!) at a restaurant because I consider it a cost of eating there, and I didn’t quite think that my panini was worth $ 21($ 11 + $ 10 parking). However, I did appreciate the good service. I may return if I’m going with a group(and if we carpool!), but I wouldn’t specifically choose Shout myself. [Review 221 of 366]
