Decent book selection for an airport. I appreciated how the employees created an island of featured books and wrote small reasons why they liked it. Cute personal touch.

I run the @bookdedications Twitter account, so I see lots of bibliophile hangouts! This is a very nice airport bookstore, with all the best-sellers from the past several years — most airport outlets just offer new books and romance novels. Simply Books is true to its name; the shelves hold big offerings from literature and pop lit. They have a few fluffy gifts and«devotionals,» but not a lot of that clutter. A great place to find and post dedications during my layover!

***This bookstore is located just outside the security checkpoint and it features a lot better book and magazine selection than several of the shops within the terminal(a lot of the airport shops, at least the ones around the United terminal, seem to have a very small magazine selection); that being said, their book selection is still small and makes me have to re-think my evaluation of SFO’s bookstore(much bigger selection; I might have to explore that store more on my next visit to San Francisco); this Atlanta airport bookstore also features a few Atlanta souvenirs and magnets, candy and travel toiletries*** I am not sure what the parking situation is at Atlanta’s airport, but I imagine parking here is expensive like other airports.

This is a real bookstore that just happens to be in an airport. One review criticizes the store«Books [sic] that people hears about on tv probably isn’t stocked by Simply Books.» Judging by that reviewer’s command of the English language, I’m going to put that in the«pros» column. If I had seen 100 copies of 50 Shades staring at me from any shelf, that would have gone into the«cons» column. I did not. There are sections for children, teens, and even a classics section for those books you skipped in college because you lost at beer pong. I liked it.
