Smoochie’s

I just wasted 40 minutes and a bunch of gas to get to this place, only to find the lights off and the door locked at 1pm on a Thursday. Merchandise was still in the store. No note on the door — just a piece of paper stuck in it like someone was trying to get something to them. When I called their phone number there was only an automated message that the number was not accepting calls. Looks like it may be closed up for good.

Smoochies is a fantastic plus size boutique. The price ranges from expensive to ultra high end. The boutique carries an array of fashionable clothing from women’s clothing to custom made. Solid, Maxi, and little black dresses. Additionally, she carries lingeries, jewerly, and many accessories. On my last visit I purchased a day dress and earrings. I will def. go back!

On a tour of my new neighborhood, a friend pointed Smoochies out to me and said «if you gain some more weight, you can go there. They sell plus-​sized lingerie.» But that’s not ALL they sell, as I happily discovered. I was in the market for some shapewear and preferred to buy local rather than trekking to Macy’s. Smoochie’s is right off of Memorial and catercorner to the fire station on Flat Shoals.
In addition to lingerie (which is only about 25% of the floor stock and available through catalog order), Smoochie’s carries a selection of sexy, youthful, figure flattering trendy pieces – like Pieces of Adrene for big girls. The sizes start at an XL/​1X (like a 12 – 14) and I saw some 3XLs as well. The pricing was in keeping with the neighborhood, but they had a great selection of sale pieces in the back room from 25−60% off. I have a friend in Miami who is always lamenting the choices for full figured chicks with style – can’t wait to introduce her to Smoochie’s on her next visit.
