Dr Sheahan was amazing– he actually gave me a glimmer of hope after I’ve been dealing with daily pain for over a year! I’d give him 5 stars (if this review were just about him). However, their office manager is a condescending jerk and does not belong in the position he has. I was speaking to him about their policy regarding obtaining prior authorizations for medications their physicians have ordered. In my situation, Caremark requested a PA not because it isn’t on the PDL, but only to justify the need for a patch and not another oral medication. The office manager replied to me that I should have brought in my PDL… despite what I had just told him. They charge $ 35 to do this on behalf of their patients. To complete any forms/​paperwork, they charge and additional $ 40. For FMLA/​Disability, I can understand some sort of admin fee, but in dealing with medications, I feel I’m like being extorted. They will not help you unless you pay them more, but the insurance company will not allow me to do it on my own behalf. I’ll continue w/​the MD for now, but will seek a better overall practice once I have my procedures completed and get back to work. My hopes were so high.
