I was really looking forward to trying Rising Roll but left very disappointed. I came in for breakfast at 9:30 and was the only one in the restaurant. That seemed to be a little bit of a problem as they seemed preoccupied with cleaning up and restocking from the morning rush and not in helping me. And when I did finally have someone ask me if they could help me, they seemed put out with my interrupting what they were doing to take my order. Which they got wrong. And I may be way too demanding, but is it really wrong to expect to have milk available at a restaurant serving breakfast? Or at least some juice options other than bottled OJ? The food I got was ok, nothing special. I got it quickly after sitting down post ordering. I can get a decent sandwich in a lot of places. Better than the doughy croissant I got here. Heck, Burger King has a better one. How sad is that. Hope this was just an off day. But the attitude on display here makes me think they have a lot of off days. Not sure they will get a second chance.

I love this place! The muffaletta sandwich is so amazing. I frequent the restaurant at least once a week and have never had a bad meal. The curry chicken salad and Reuben are also good choices.

The breakfast here ROCKS! The breakfast Panini sandwich is on ciabatta with scrambled eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese. It is SO much bigger and better than a fast food breakfast sandwich, but it is only about 40 cents more than an egg mcmuffin. The cinnamon roll is also a standout — it is fresh, delicious, and about twice the size of a Burger King cinnamon roll, yet only a few pennies more. The service is fast and friendly.

I’m a definite fan of this place for a quick lunch. They have great sandwiches and the wait time is not long at all. Rising Roll is located in the same shopping center as Uncle Julio’s off of Hammond Drive. Parking is a tough one during the lunch rush but it’s worth a visit and I’m certain there will be second visit. The menu is displayed along the right wall as you walk into the restaurant. The place is well maintained and clean. It’s one of the first things I noticed about this place. Customer service is solid. Every visit has been great and the staff here is always helpful and courteous. I always order the Chicken Milano panini. If you like cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, you’ll dig this sandwich. It’s a pressed panini and quite large in size. All sandwich orders come with a side and I typically order the coleslaw. My favorite is their pickle. I tend to ask for a 2nd pickle and note, you will get charged $ 0.49 for that extra pickle. They have freshly baked cookies by the cash register and their fountain drinks display is standard. The one thing I do enjoy is their complimentary, lemons, blueberries and mint leaves for your tea or lemonade. It’s a nice feature & always appreciated. If you’re in the area and am craving a quick, filling sandwich, Rising Roll will surely satisfy your lunch needs!

I love this place so much. It’s like the one thing that makes me actually look forward to going to the doctor because it means lunch at Rising Roll. This was pretty much my go-to spot throughout my last pregnancy, and the only downside was that whole having to avoid lunch meat thing. Still, there are so many fantastic pregnancy-safe options here that it’s the perfect place to grab a quick but quality and filling bite to eat. I generally opted for the Chicken Melt. Seriously, what could be better than a big ol’ scoop of chicken salad topped with melted cheese on a croissant? Almost nothing, I tell you. Well, nothing except maybe my husband’s usual choice – the California Turkey on a croissant. Whenever he joined me for lunch, I made him promise to bring a California Turkey to the hospital after I delivered. Sure enough, he followed through. Eating cold cuts for the first time in ten months might be better than getting an epidural. Something weird that I really really like about this place is that you just straight up tell them the name of the sandwich you want and they make it without you having to list the ingredients. That always bothers me about other delis. Why list the ingredients on the menu if I’m just going to have to basically tell you exactly what I want when I get to the counter? Not so here. Pick your sandwich. Give ‘em the name. Wait patiently. Sit and enjoy. My only complaint would be that the portion sizes for the sides teeter on the small side. The remedy? Obviously you need to order one of their ginormous and delicious chocolate chip cookies for dessert. Problem solved.

This is my favorite quick lunch spot that isn’t fast food. Compared to Panera Bread, Atlanta Bread, etc Rising Roll is the best! I get the chicken apple on a crossiant every time. Delicious chicken salad with slides of Granny Smith apple topped with bacon and blue cheese dressing. Sounds so odd but the flavors mix together amazingly! For a side the red skinned potato salad is good!

I really, really, really don’t get it. I still feel like I’m missing something because I have two coworkers who otherwise have good taste in food who come here fairly regularly, so I’ve tried it a few more times since my last visit. And every visit re-enforces my opinion. Today I had the Peruvian Pork sandwich, and this was some of the worst pork of any type I’ve ever had. I think they boiled it in vinegar. I bit into the sandwich and was overwhelmed with vinegar flavor. The bread(multi-grain) was fine(not notable, not bad), and the brie was fine, but the pork was terrible. The menu claims there’s salsa verde on the sandwich, but I didn’t notice any. At least the fruit salad I had with it was fresh, and the pickle was a standard pickle. And I’ll give them some bonus points for putting fresh mint leaves by the beverage station — I love mint in my tea. I know one of my coworkers really likes the chicken salad(although he says the egg salad is the worst he’s ever had). The other really likes the muffaletta. If they rope me into coming back, I’ll try one of those next time.

Honestly, I have never had a good experience here even once. The first time I went my food wasn’t ready for an hour after I showed up and one of the croissants were burnt to a crisp when it finally came out… Another 20 minutes for a new one. The employees are extremely rude and seem like they hate their jobs. The lady on the phone told me that it would take FORTY minutes to have my panini ready with a cup of soup… I get it and it’s a sandwich. Needless to say I will never eat there again. Good luck folks!

I have no idea why I waited so long to come here. I stopped here for lunch with a family member who recently started working in the area. it was my first visit, so I took a good long while reviewing the menu. The curry chicken salad sandwich really jumped out at me, so that’s what I went with. So delicious! Sweet with just the right amount of kick. All of a fluffy croissant. The potato salad that I chose as my side was also very good. I find that most potato salad that I order is very bland and not seasoned well. Not the case with Rising Roll. Service was quick and it wasn’t overly crowded, even though it was peak lunch time. I’ll definitely be adding this place to my rotation of quick lunch spots.

Rising Roll touts catering, so I called to inquire about catering needs for 35 people for a Sunday. Alas, I don’t think they cater on the weekend… me: «Do you cater on the weekend?» RR: «Let me ask…[pause]…Yes!» me: «Ok, I would like to place an order for Sunday.» RR: «Oh. But, we are only open Monday through Friday.» me: «So, that means you DON’T cater on the weekend…» Le sigh.

I cannot believe I seriously paid $ 8.00 for this chicken salad. Nothing to it, very plain. Didn’t have carry out utensils either.

«Let me ask you something. Is this a sandwich?» — Annie Hall(1977) Not a bad sandwich place in a pinch, really. I’ve come here a few times and usually get the Brie and Green apple(hot panini sandwich), but have also gotten their egg salad. My company used to get catering from Rising Roll all the time and so I have gotten seriously burned out on them. Look it isn’t bad for a casual lunch joint to get a decent sandwich, but the service is only okay. I’m a true lover of the sandwich or sammie, and this is not high on my must visit list. But this is usually where I will stop to get lunch on my way to visit someone in the hospital at St. Joseph’s to have lunch with them — it is pretty great for quick to go food.

How are you out of milk at 10 am? Everything was pretty slow, thankfully we were not in a hurry. One member of the group couldn’t get something from the menu because they ran out of milk to make it with. So that was lame. The rest of us got Panini’s and they were decent. Id say for $ 3.50 it was a good breakfast sandwich for the money so they get a 3.

I submitted an online order and I picked it up. They left an item out but I didn’t realize it until I got back to my office. I called the store, after speaking to two people, not only could they not refund my money, but neither person that I spoke to even offered a verbal apology. I’m not one to raise hell over $ 1.69, so I just hung up. Despite that less than good customer service, the food is decent, so if you order online for pickup, check make sure your order is complete, because they obviously don’t.

Great sandwiches, if a little pricey for lunch. I just paid $ 9.93 for a sandwich, side and drink. However, the portions are big enough to take half home for later. Sandwiches are currently about $ 7.00 and up; salads mostly $ 8.59. They do also have breakfast, which I haven’t been for. Breakfast sandwiches range from about $ 4.50 to $ 5. Tasty food, but certainly not gourmet other than the price.

Have been here a few times. I was originally happier about it than from the more recent visits. The attraction is that it is clean and all seems fresh, and the bread is yummy! But I’m also finding it to be pricey and a bit bland. I broke my health-consciousness to have a Reuben sandwich recently, with fond memories of past flavorful Reubens at other places, but this was not what I remembered at all. And on the topic of expensive – $ 20 for sandwiches for two, side portions are minuscule, and you need to get 16 stamps(not 10) for a freebie on their frequent eater program. I was originally more anxious to fill up my card, but after a couple of visits, not so much. We’ll probably be back due to the convenience factor, but if we extend our radius a bit, I think we can do better.
