We got to town early for a conference and this place up last night as it was empty at 6pm. It smelled like sour cleaning water and beer. The bathroom trash was full, no soap, some of the bathroom door locks were broken. Employees standing around talking. Took about 5 min for someone to come over to ask for drinks so we left. I hope the cooks had their own bathroom with soap.

We only stopped in for drinks. The bartender(didn’t catch her name) was pregnant but she was soooo sweet and very helpful. The drink are so expensive I don’t think I will be back.

I am usually a big fan of Taco Mac. We eat there regularly… because the service is great, the food is tasty and the beer selection is the best. Not so much at this location. The wait was terrible… which I get, there is a game on. By then the service was SUPER slow and not entirely accurate. I understand there is a game on, but they should have plenty of experience and a plan for dealing with crowds. Not to mention the«different» interpretation of «choice of drink». Probably won’t come back here.

Food was sports barish. Cleanliness: Ladies powder rm was thrashed. Looking around the dining area, there’s dried spilled drinks on the deck. Receipts & table napkins scattered. Specks of paper every four steps get stuck on the bottom of my shoe The employees actually have tables where they sit & actively enjoying the game. They were the loudest out of all the dining guests. I suppose they love their job. Was so confused b/c @ first we thought they were patrons

Seriously the worst service I’ve ever had. Had to walk to the bartender for every drink order and food order. Everyone just seemed to not feel like working that day… awful.

We dropped in hoping to watch a football game, but then we saw the beer prices. $ 9 for a pint of Newcastle. $ 8 for a pint of Killians. Enough said about that. Unfortunately we had already ordered an appetiser, so we couldn’t just leave. After waiting about half an hour, the server told us she forgot to put in the order. We paid for a coke and left. This restaurant is a complete waste of space.

The bartender Kita was wonderful. Great service and delicious fish tacos. 130 taps– majority craft and/or local.

Are you into bland flavors, food that’s not hot, and service that’s slow as molasses? Then go to TacoMac. Run– don’t walk. Was working an event at the convention center. This place talked a good game. Famous for wings… tacos…130 beers on tap. Convenient location. They do have a great selection of local and national craft beers. I’ll give them that. So we had an hour for lunch. We got there after 1:00 and the place was not busy at all. Our party of 5 ordered drinks and food at the same time because we had a time constraint. The server understood our situation and did her best to expedite the orders and was very friendly. She mentioned putting in the food order before filling our drink order. A bit of foreshadowing. Apparently the kitchen is where the wheels fell off. 45 minutes into our visit, the food finally came out. Most of our meals were lukewarm– not hot. When I travel abroad, the advice is to never eat food that doesn’t come out piping hot. So this was kind of annoying, especially when we waited this long for tacos, sandwiches, and other pretty simple meals. The food was very much mediocre. Nothing special. Wouldn’t say anything tasted fresh and flavors were bland across the board. Tacos didn’t have any pizazz. Wings seemed like they were fried earlier in the day and kept warm. Pretty bad showing for chicken wings. We overshot our one hour window by about 15 minutes and were late returning to work. Which is pretty rare for a crew of people who routinely have to find quick meals within walking distance. TacoMac– GETYOURKITCHENINORDER. Your only saving grace is proximity to convention traffic. That’s no reason to stop caring about quality ingredients and figuring out how to expedite orders while they’re still hot. Your wings were okay, but telling everyone that you’re famous for them is kind of ridiculous.

My family and I have made it a «tradition» to dine here before events at Philips Arena. However, this may end today. We sat down at 6:48 and our food didn’t come until 7:17 with the guacamole I didn’t order. We waited for ten minutes for a server. The host didn’t bother to say the bartender was our server. By now, the staff should be used to event crowds and expect event crowds. It’s not even that crowded but the table behind us received food before us.

Went here two days in a row for lunch while downtown. Decent bar food. A lot of amazing beers on draft. Sit at the bar. The wait staff is disorganized and painfully slow. It took over 45 mins for 3 of us to even get our food.

The«Black Bean Burger» is one of those items where you wonder if whoever decided it should be on the menu has actually tasted it. It was absolutely disgusting, and the menu was a bit misleading. It was listed in the burger section along with other«traditional» burgers(all of the descriptions for which listed what condiments came with each burger, leading one to assume they were all beef burgers). Well THIS was not a beef patty(at least from what I could discern), and it was so overwhelmingly salty, I could only stand to take two bites. The fries were disgusting; overly greasy, cold, and soggy. The sweet potato fries were… well, we wouldn’t know because we didn’t receive them with our other dish(The Chicken Avocado Sandwich with Bacon, which we ended up having to share) like we’d ordered. I guess the one star could be for the beer selection, but we were in a hurry and weren’t able to properly enjoy that one positive part of our dining experience.

Horrible. It took forever to get seated despite all the empty tables. It took an hour for us to get our food. We were seated in the bar area and we had to get a manager who took our order because the server never came. After the manager took our order it took an hour for the food to come out. Horrible service. Beer was good.

If you’re looking for lukewarm food, this is the place to go! It’s worse when there’s a larger group, but even for a table of two or three, it’s rare that things come out hot. The service can be slow as well. And, don’t order water. They use a Coke Freestyle machine(which is awesome), but the water comes out of there as well. The problem with Coke Freestyle is the flavors bleed from one drink to the next(like the Mystery Flavor DumDums) — your water will inevitably taste like the previously dispensed beverage because they won’t run it for a couple seconds to clear the line.

Wings. Hot. No need to get anything else. Don’t ever get the mild. It’s the same sauce, they just give you less of it to make it less spicy. You can pay an extra $ 0.50 to get all flats or drumsticks depending on your preference. True wing lovers like my brother pay the extra money to get all flats. I’m a huge Taco Mac fan. I love the wings here. I’ve been to many Taco Mac locations and this place was the least busiest with the slowest service. It might have been because we were at the top level and the waiters had a hard time noticing we even existed. Nonetheless, the waitress was super friendly, just slow. Convenient location next to all of the touristy spots, however this is definitely my least favorite location. The wings are dry and service is slow.

Tacomac. Despite the name, NOT a Mexican place. :-) It’s pretty much your run of the mill sports bar, with a really awesome selection of beers on tap. The list is pretty nice, so you’re bound to find something you’ll want to try. They do break out the local brews on the menu, if you’re inclined to try something you might not find everywhere. They do one of these things where you can create a personal account to track the beers you try. There are rewards at each tier. Since I don’t live near a Tacomac, I didn’t take advantage, but a friend did. He has tried over 140 beers. Outdoor seating is nice. The interior has a good amount of space and TVs for watching a game. Waitstaff is nice. They ID everyone. I mean everyone. Which is good, and flattering for some of us.

I have been to this location of Taco Mac several times over the past 4 years and it is always really great! The food is typical pub type with chicken wings, nachos, etc. They have plenty of seating available also. The entire downstairs is a sports bar type theme with several tvs and high-top tables & chairs. You can also go upstairs and sit at a regular table. It is great for large groups. The service is always really great and the wait staff are always extremely friendly and attentive. I have been with just a few friends, as well as with a group of 10+ people and the service has been the same no matter what size group we have. The location couldn’t be better for those coming to town for a conference or sporting event. It is attached to CNN& Philips Arena, across the street from the GWCC and just a short walk from the Georgia Dome. The prices are quite reasonable considering the prime location. I would definitely recommend and plan to return again in the future.

This location is prime! They need Patrick Swayze to come in and get these servers and bartenders in order. I’ve been to this location many times during busy lunch crowds but service has been going downhill each visit. The two clowns working the upstairs bar should be put back in the kitchen. I’ve never seen such incompetent bartenders as these two guys. They were rude, inattentive with no regard to the customers. Management needs to do some serious employee training. As for the food. Never got our order after an hour and a half! We paid for our drinks and took our business elsewhere. Beware!!!

I came in here to kill time with boyfriend before a concert at Phillips. We ordered drinks from the bar and food from the to-go line and found a place to perch and watch TV. I’m a long time Taco Mac customer, and this one is about as run of the mill as the other locations I’ve been to. Because they’re getting so big, they keep everything regulated, so you get a fairly consistent experience. Nothing to rave about, but I can count on the food coming out a certain way and knowing what it’ll taste like. Sometimes that’s all you need. I ordered my long-time staple of the chicken ranch wrap with sweet potato fries. Came out as I expected, and filled me up before the show. Boyfriend had the boneless wings; same experience. I can’t say much else because it’s Taco Mac. A familiar place with familiar food and service that will get the job done.

I love Taco Mac! But, HATE this location. The hostesses are extremely disorganized. We arrived, told we had to wait a maximum of 45 mins. Over an hour later with a very upset toddler, we are shown a small table pushed up against a wall and asked if we though we could fit there.(3 adults and 1 high chair.) There was NOWAY we would fit. We might have been able to fit if they hadn’t placed 6, very large, women who were NOTEATING. JUSTWAITING. in chairs right next to our table. They went ahead and sat us at a high top with no high chair. This was just rediculous. Luckily our waiter was very friendly. He was attentive and apologetic. Apparently the kitchen had him doing odds and ends, so he wasn’t as attentive to his tables. But, he was fine with us. He just seemed extremely stressed. Felt bad for him. And the kitchen kept running out of things… This is an awful location. Never going to go back again.
