The Fernbank Café

The food is café food. They don’t advertise being a fusion or extra fancy spot. For what you pay it works. The seating options of indoor or outdoor are nice. Pizza is pretty good

I was disappointed to see the reviews so low on this café located in the Museum of Natural History, however, I ate there anyways. It appears they have changed chef’s, so I would recommend giving them another chance! The service was slow, however the food was great! The Peach bbq pulled pork, potato salad and Rueben were fantastic. I would maybe change the Thousand Island to something more tasty, but It was still a great sandwich! The pizza appeared to be really good and the fake lobster salad wasn’t bad either.

Nasty dirty tables — not a clean one to be found. Slow service too. If not for the dinosaurs this place would be extinct.

I love the The Fernbank, however their Café is just merely okay. To be completely honest, usually the line is quite long, as it seems understaffed during lunch hours.
The food is quite expensive, considering what one might be ordering. For example, a kid’s meal is $ 6.50 and includes either a grilled cheese sandwich, PB and J, hot dog or slice of pizza, plus a bag of chips and soda (bad choice) or milk. They have ¼ burgers for $ 7.50 (add cheese for 50 cents), the appearance of these burgers is that of a perfectly pressed soy burger made from a lab.
Recommendations: Personally, I believe their best sandwiches are their Reuben ($ 7.50) Tarragon Chicken Salad ($ 7.50), or Classic Club ($ 8).

For parents, they do have high chairs. The café offers indoor seating as well as outdoor seating as well, the view is gorgeous as well, as it overlooks the woods.]
