I confess, I only go to The Grape for glasses of wine, dessert and live music. I’ve not had a meal here. So, I won’t speak to that. What I would like to discuss with you today, dear friends, is the dessert. Divine. Okay, next? Just kidding. I came in, sat at the bar, and was greeted warmly by the staff. The bartender introduced herself and gave me the rundown of the featured wines. I decided on a wine, then scanned the desserts. Because I don’t think anything or anyone can be too rich, I chose a decadent cream cheese and chocolate cake. Yummo.(And now I’d like to thank Rachael Ray for introducing us to such a unique and interesting word as «yummo.» Not really, but it fits.) And though this time I didn’t partake of the patio and live music that’s often a part of the weekend environ, I have been at the grape during the summer, where I enjoyed a glass of wine while listening to a talented, cute guy sing and play the guitar. It’s a fun place for a couple of drinks, dessert or chilling on the patio. One of these days, when I get over«drinking my dinner,» I’ll check out their food.
