I really wanted to give this place 5 stars… I really did. The service was great and attentive, the food was really good, and overall a good visit. The only thing that knocks a star off of this review is the mere fact that we made dinner reservations, arrived on time, and still had to wait… and not just 2 or 3 minutes. But that doesn’t warp the entire experience. The place is small, but I think it is a good fit for the look. The Volcano Roll was really really tasty. The bang shrimp appetizer is very savory.

Sushi is always a bit pricey and hold true here, but its the best sushi place I have been to recently. Brussel sprouts with the sauce is amazing and second favorite was the pan seared dumplings! Dim ambience, but gets kind of loud when the place gets full. Service was great!

This place was great! The presentation was as good as the sushi. While the prices are a little high, it is worth it. I recommend the cucumber lollipops and the sake sampler.

Delicious sushi! The volcano roll with the baked crab on top is amazing, and the edamame with the Parmesan and breadcrumbs is really good as well. The restaurant is always packed but I’ve never had a bad experience with wait times. Very well managed

Terrible experience. We showed up at 9:20 for a late dinner and we knew they closed at 10. The waitress immediately informed us that it was last call for food. Understandable, I guess, but it became a problem when they constantly pestered us about taking our food away, even before we had finished. Literally every 2 minutes… As far as the food goes, I’d say it was average and definitely not worth the price. $ 13 for a «spicy tuna on the rocks» which turned out to be 4 pieces of burnt rice with a sliver of tuna on top. It honestly tasted like a McDonald’s hash brown. The taste overwhelmed the dish. There are plenty of cool/trendy spots in Brookhaven. Do yourself a favor and skip this place. We WILLNOT be back.

The service starting at the door was great: Friendly and fast! Arnon was our server, he is Awesomely professional without being stuffy. This place is reasonably priced and the quality is good. Didn’t have drinks so no comments on that. It’s busy and not too big so it gets loud. It’s a trendy place. Complementary Valet so bring cash for the tip. Will definitely come back.

My husband and I really enjoy The One Sushi + for our date nights. It’s dim lighting and modern vibe welcomes you the second you grace their threshold. Offering a variety of menu options that are edgy and unique, but also keeping some classic sushi items gives everyone something to choose from. I’ve also enjoyed dinner at the bar(for a party of one!) and was very entertained by the Sushi Chef’s and their talents for serving not only delicious food, but plates that are exquisitely crafted and appealing to the eyes. Reservations are recommended and come early to find parking since Brookhaven Village has several restaurants, but limited parking — street, lot or valet(which has been known to be full too).

Very delicious sushi. They have really delicious calamari and the Beehive is a really yummy drink. The service was on point. Great friendly servers.

I came here on a date with my boyfriend on a Monday night and had a delightful dinner. There were lots of people inside but we were seated immediately. It’s a small space but there is still lots of room and has a modern atmosphere. There’s also plenty of parking around there. I ordered a cocktail and it was delicious. We also got fried squid legs as an appetizer, which was fantastic. For sushi, we ordered the volcano roll and double decker roll. The sushi was good, but nothing special. For dessert we had the green tea crème brûlée. I was very excited to try this because I love crème brûlée and green tea. It was just ok — I wish there was more of the green tea taste to it.

I’m not crazy about this place, but it’s closer to a 4 than a 3. PRO: It’s modern. Very cool venue: I really like the look and the atmosphere of the place. From the interior design to the tableware, modern modern modern. CON: It’s modern. It’s not for the sushi ‘purist’: Half of the signature sushi menu has cream cheese in it. IMO, cream cheese in sushi is no bueno. I’ve had the chirashi, volcano roll, and spicy tuna roll here. They were all pretty good!

3 of us enjoyed a really great dinner here. First impression is the décor, glad to find a chic stylish place somewhere ITP. It’s a great location for a sushi night dating, even it was Sat 9pm, the seats were almost occupied. The waitress was super nice and handy, she def knows a lot details about the menu. We followed her advice to get the smooth/dry/a bit sweet sake: Otokoyama, neat choice for the later on food. To start, we got the signature Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots, once it got to the table, «Wow!» from all of us – such an eye catchy!~ also a great flavor blossom in the mouth! Then we had 3 different sushi rolls, Lady in Red, UN(big portion, so satisfied), Sex & the City… It was such a fun experience to go through the menu, I love how creative the owners are — Taiwaness wife and Chinese-Korean husband, they did brainstorm a lot. Simply we enjoyed very bite of the sushi, I recalled in the documentary«Jiro Dreams of Sushi» — It is all about the bass. oh, no, RICE… their selection of the rice is impeccable, Bravo. As matcha fans, we had the Green Tea Cream Brulee to end the night. It was a great balance of the matcha bitterness/freshness and the sugar/cream, just wish there could be some more raspberry topping. Tip: check out this little hanging-out district around, it’s a gem in Brookhaven..

This was a fantastic meal from start to finish. A friend and I went late and got there only 30 minutes prior to closing. The welcomed us warmly and didn’t make us feel like they were annoyed that we showed up so close to closing time. We started with the spicy miso soup, and it was fantastic. There was definitely a kick to it, so if you are spicy-hot sensitive, skip this one, but if you can handle the heat, the flavors were great. It was a chunkier miso soup with plentiful squash, mushrooms, tofu, and a mussel in a piping hot pot. We shared a few items off the sushi menu: *the yellowtail jalapeño shots — banging flavor, tangy, and fun to eat *the spicy tuna on the rocks — I LOVED the crunch texture of the rice ball, a ton of tuna(it’s only 4 pieces, but each piece is huge) *the double decker — delicious is all I can say *the haven roll — similar to what I know as the«Florida Roll» back home, simple, fresh, yummy All the fish was obviously VERY fresh. The flavors kept me on my toes. The service was impeccable(and although we were there 30 minutes past closing, they were very courteous and kept saying for us to take our time even though I know they probably wanted to go home). Thank you for a memorable meal!

this is one of the rare spots In Atlanta that I’ve been meaning to try but hadn’t gotten a chance until now! Got off my flight from vegas– super hungry and craving sushi— so we stop here order the chef sashimi special and a bunch of other rolls— everything was on point! Loved all of it— the only downside is the drinks is per order– no refills :-(ended up paying about $ 85 – 90 for two people leaving super stuffed — no alcohol no apps just one coke product and the rest was all sushi! Definitely try this place out!

The One Sushi + is modern sushi bar/Asian fusion restaurant located in Brookhaven. The industrial-chic interior goes well with their contemporary Japanese concept and menu. It offers a variety of small plates, signature sushi rolls, and handcrafted cocktails. Parking is located towards the back side of the building with the optional valet service. COCKTAILS I’ve been here twice so far and the food and service have been great! Their handcrafted cocktails are really good, especially the Green Rock. It’s one of their Spring seasonal drinks. All the drinks are mixed and presented really well. APPETIZER A notable appetizer is the Yellowtail Jalapeño Shots. This dish comes with 6 shot glasses with a slice of yellowtail, cilantro, sriracha, radish, balsamic, and honey yuzu. All the ingredients are fresh and perfectly combined. This is probably my favorite item I’ve tried at this place. Highly recommended! Another appetizer we tried was the Pan Seared Dumplings. Done really well and had a unique presentation. The dumplings all came grouped together with garnish at the top. ROLLS Their signature sushi rolls are good, big, and packed. Some places will give you just the minimum ingredients and add more rice to it, but not at this place. I was really satisfied with all of the rolls I tried: – The Chanel Replic which comes with scallop tempura, mango, fresh scallop, tuna, scallions, red tobiko, soy chili sauce, and creamy wasabi. Because of the mango, this roll will be more on the sweeter side. – Double Decker which comes with shrimp tempura, cream cheese, sushi ebi, crab salad, tempura flakes, kabayaki, and creamy sauce. Definitely lives up to its name. – Picante which comes with mild spicy yellowtail, cucumber, cilantro, fresh yellowtail, salmon, jalapeño, and yuzu sauce. This is the roll version of the yellowtail jalapeño shots. – Formosa which comes with flash fried soft shell crab, crab salad, cream cheese, cucumber, avacado, bbq eel, and kabayaki. I think this roll was my favorite simply because I’m a fan of bbq eel. – Yami Yami is a flash fried roll which comes with tuna, salmon, yellowtail, avacado, and cream cheese. Garnished with trio creamy aioli, scallions, and masago at the top. DESSERT For dessert, we’ve had The Green Tea Crème Brulee and The Apple Bread Pudding. – The Green Tea Crème Brulee was really rich. It wasn’t too sweet, which I liked, but I just didn’t like flavor of this crème brûlée as much. My bf loved it though. – The Apple Bread Pudding with a scoop of ice cream on the top was really good — light and fluffy. OVERALL 2⁄2 times I’ve enjoyed my experience at The One Sushi +. Service is great! We’ve had Taemin serve us both times we’ve been, and he does a fantastic job making drink and food suggestions. Love this place and the vibe it gives. There’s also outside seating, good for the summer time. Definitely recommend it for sushi lovers.

Just from looking at the food photos I knew I had to try this place out. I came here on a Saturday night, and it wasn’t that packed so I don’t think a reservation is necessary. My bf and I requested for two tables because we knew we were going to order a variety of dishes and appetizers.(We were so hungry!) Dumplings– if you’ve ever had Vietnamese crêpe or banh xeo, they pan sear the dumplings and the outside crust taste exactly like a banh xeo. Fried rice– I don’t know if I was just really hungry but I really liked the flavor of the fried rice. Bulgogi sandwich– this came with a side of kimchi and I believe it was plantain chips? It was a small sandwich,(half a sandwich roll). It was really juicy lots of flavor. The kimchee was refreshing, not too spicy. Lemongrass, lobster bruschetta — at this point I was getting pretty full but I had to keep going! Lots of little lobster chunks on a toasted bread. Yellowtail shooters– these were my favorite. I believe it contained a little bit of ponzu, yellowtail and a little slice of jalapeño. You kind of have to scoop it into your mouth instead of taking it straight like a shot because the yellowtail gets stuck. So I had two signature rolls… That I can not remember the name of… But I remember one was lady in red and that was my favorite because it was a little saucier and sweeter which I like. And for the dessert we had a green tea crème brûlée that was soooooo delicious. I was a very satisfied customer after being starved all day! Definitely will be coming back for the great service and food.

There is a drink with lychee and mint in it. I forget the name but it is wonderful. Bang bang shrimp is very delicious but a tad over breaded. I have the Salmon Tempura sushi and was just pleased. The salmon was fresh and presentation was minimal. The taste was not very convincing but it worked well with spicy mayo. The one fried rice is quite unique and a good try. Tip: Valet is free but tip. Self park and avoid optional tip for valet.

This restaurant had some hits, and some misses I did not like the seating, it felt a little cramped and it just seemed like I was out in the burbs I should have been afforded someone elbow room The sushi was okay– I think when you leave the city limits you can expect the restaurant to cater to that crowd I did enjoy the extremely overpriced Korean tofu soup– gooood! But a little pricy for a soup the could fill my hand and contains vegetables The valet was complimentary — but considering the location there should be better parking options I probably will not be back– but this place had a great staff and I am sure if money is no object that you will enjoy spending here Bathrooms were super cool, loved the décor

The one sushi + is a modern Asian fusion restaurant. Even though quite different from traditional sushi place like Sushi House Hayakawa, it is still genuine and well-prepared. Roasted Brussels Sprouts are good for my friends, but not for me. I would recommend cucumber lollipops for its novelty! Chirashi platter is generally good, but is a miss when they put octopus in it. It was Sunday night, around 8pm, and they told us they are out of tuna… Accidentally, we ordered the volcano. It is a real bomb. Green Tea Cream Brûlée combines the sweetness of sugar and the subtleness of green tea, great. Parking: you can park on the street, or around in the parking lot, but sometimes could be tough. They offer complimentary valet parking too.

One of the coolest Japanese fusion restaurants I’ve been to in Atlanta. I had low expectations since, well fusion doesn’t usually work out for me. I was pleasantly surprised to discover otherwise. Parking: private lot, shared with a few other restaurants, which makes the parking VERY difficult. Valet would be easier, so take advantage if you don’t want to wait for a spot or stalk leaving patrons. Interior: dim and sophisticated. Tables are all pretty uncomfortably close together, but if you don’t have to get up to go to the bathroom often, it’s not terrible. Full bar with various sake on almost an entire side of the restaurant. Bathrooms: A clean, single stall with some nice soap and lotion to use. Also provides small cups and mouthwash for your convenience! Food: The server explained that they get shipments of sashimi and fresh ingredients once a week, every Thursday. HOWCONVENIENT that we showed up on Thursday night! They will then serve these specials everyday until they are sold out, so we got the freshest pick of the lot. The two specials were: King Salmon Tasting($ 15) — 3 slices of sashimi and 2 nigiri. The server pushed that there was a lot of omega-3, which of course only convinced me more to order it. The oily salmon soaked onto your tongue and melted into your mouth. That is some damn good salmon. Tuna Tasting($ 17) — I got a little lost in the explanation. But the server emphasized the bluefin and fatty tuna. There were 2 slices of each tuna sashimi, as well as a single nigiri of each. Very high quality, indeed! On top of these specials were the uni, which was also delivered in their weekly shipment. The uni comes in spoons or sashimi. Since were a party of 3, we ordered the sashimi, which comes in a portion of 3 pieces, versus the two spoons of uni. The uni was sweet and buttery. It’s not the best I’ve had, but it’s definitely up there in the ranks! We ordered a couple more rolls and a sashimi: Jalapeño Yellowtail Shots — tangy fresh deliciousness. Comes with six cute shots. Has a quick spicy kick and a sour taste that reminds me of ceviche. A fun must-order. UN(roll) — a pricier roll, and the server claimed it was overrated. Steak, crab, tuna and lobster all in one roll? Why not? The flavors were overwhelming, with the chili teriyaki and steak being the only flavors I could taste in the roll. Might as well have been the only ingredients… Chanel Replica — I love raw scallops. The fresh scallops were sweetened further by the mango. I loved this twist on the scallop sashimi in this roll. Another roll you must try. Overall, my only complaint was the rice. Sushi rice should always be perfectly soft and not overcooked. The rice we had was slightly hard and either undercooked or a day old… A little disappointed. Service: our server was super patient and candid with us, which I loved. We had a weird incident with someone who brought us our food(not our server, though). He set the sashimi tasting down on the table a little roughly, which caused some of the tuna sashimi to fall off its small radish tower. His only response was«oh. It fell» before he walked off. I guess we couldn’t have expected him to fix it with his bare hands but it was such an awkward moment — plus it ruined my picture of it!!! The One Sushi+ exceeded my expectations. It’s not just an Americanized Japanese restaurant: they have something legitimate going on! This is definitely one of my favorite Asian fusion restaurants I’ve ever been to.
