Amazing stuff.

I just left the most disappointing visit to Spotted Trotter. The person «working» behind the counter couldn’t give me prices about different types of meat that weren’t listed. Also, when I got home and unwrapped the ribeye it was tapered. Visualize a wedge of cheese. I love spotted trotter but angry is an understatement for the per pound price I paid for a steak that Kevin Rathbun couldn’t cook evenly. I’ve gotten better service at Publix.

Cool butcher /​charcuterie purveyor within Krog Street Market with unexpectedly reasonable prices for premium product.

Went in for a birthday steak from a premium butcher, which is what every man turning 40 deserves. Got in before all the polo shirts started crowding Krog st, and had a very nice experience. Well aged hand cut steaks, which were very marbled in all the right places. Ribeye, the king of steaks… accept no substitutes.
The nice woman who butchered my steak from the large primal looking honk, didnt even bristle when I asked for all the fat to be left on, and gave me excellent service. Thanks so much SPT for an excellent piece of meat.

I drop in every other week to pick up my supply of ham to snack on. Their meats are used all over ATL in good restaurants– so you know their meats have to be top quality.
The butchers are all knowledgeable on what they are selling you. It’s nice to have such a gem in Inman Park.

The quality and price of their meats and cheese is excellent, and this breaks my heart to leave such a bad review. THE CUSTOMER SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! I go to this location, (Krog Market) at least once a week to purchase my meat groceries, and the folks behind the counter are very unresponsive and seem like we are bothering them when we place our order. They have terrible attitudes and I wish they would go through some customer service training… I’M NOT THE MEAT EXPERT THAT IS WHY I ASK YOU FOR HELP, SO BE HELPFUL!!! Maybe they could get some tips from the folks at Jenny’s Ice Cream…

Prices are for great aged and hand man meats. So u won’t get away to cheap but it is worth it. I love blood sausage and it is hard to find or is not good. They had a morcilla that was devine. Texture and flavor were perfect. They have much more is that is not your thing. Great little specialty spot

I was really excited about this place after reading the reviews. Maybe I caught them on a bad day. I went to find some good meat for Valentine’s Day and it looked really bad! I couldn’t bring myself to look too close and moved on.

I stopped by The Spotted Trotter today because I saw so many good reviews. It definitely lived up to everything that everyone said. They have a great selection of cured meats as well as fresh steaks and sausages. They also told me that I can always look on their website and if I need anything, give them a call and they can get it in.
The person that worked there was very knowledgable and was able to recommend a good cheese since I didnt really know what I wanted.
Prices are also very reasonable.
This will be a regular for sure.

This place just drives you crazy (In a good way). The Confit is a must try and the sausage is very tasty.

The Spotted Trotter is expanding their amazingly meaty empire and the second installment has made its way into Krog. Couldn’t be more excited about this. The storefront is absolutely gorgeous and is front-​facing to all of the passersby in the market.
They have all of the amazing sausages and wursts you could want — just like the location on Hosea Williams in Kirkwood. They also have incredible cuts of beef in the case that you can choose from and pick out. One of my favorite things to pick up is the pork lardons. Those things are wonderful and super easy to cook up for breakfast. I think they have a variety cured in sorghum and they are even more amazing.
The cheese case is also just as wonderful. Everything you could want from Many Fold, Banner Butter, etc. Just talk to Scott. That guy knows cheese, dude.
Most recently, we visited to pick up some Christmas gifts. My mother is a chef and we knew she would appreciate some of the Charleston Gold rice and Carolina Grits they had for sale in bags. In general, this stuff is pretty hard to track down and is always pretty pricey, so we were glad to see they had some. She’ll be so stoked to have them!
This is a very welcome sight for anyone in the neighborhood and is definitely one of the shining additions to all of Krog St Market. So glad to have these guys even closer to home!
(Also, can’t wait for The Cockentrice to open! AHHHH!)

I’ve been an occasional customer of Spotted Trotter at their Hosea Williams location. Good people with a great concept.
While checking out Krog Street Market’s opening day, I stopped in at Spotted Trotter. Same goodness as at the other location. Not sure, but it seemed like a wider selection of meats here. I lightened their inventory by a couple of sausages and a bottle of Bluegrass Soy Sauce*.
* Yeah, soy sauce produced in Kentucky. It’s good.

Nice new spot for the Spotted Trotter. I just got back from Italy and their display cases look almost like the butcher shops all over bologna (only with fewer heads and hanging parma hams). They have a large selection including chicken cheddarwurst, chicken red hots, and duck prosciutto (throwing this out there for you non-​red meat eaters). They have all the other standard, dried fresh, and smoked meats as well. They have a large cheese case filled with local and regional cheeses, as well as many random drygoods like bacon candies, Rancho Gordo beans, and various dried pastas. A really cute little space in the fabulous new Krog Street Market.
