The UBar

My first time hear after many visit to Atlanta. I came to watch the the NBA finals. The Music was extremely loud, I damn near had to yell at the waitress to order. Food was decent, I had wings and fries. Drinks pretty strong. Only thing I didn’t like is that after we finished eating the waiter asked us like ²⁄₃ times if we were going to order something else. I felt like she was trying to kick us out because it was getting packed. So we just left, that’s why in giving only 4 stars.

I called in an order and they told me it would be 10 – 15 minutes. I arrive to pick up my order and no one put the order in. The employee at the bar apologized and asked me if I’d like to put the order in at moment and I said no. That kinda defeats the purpose of calling in an order. I went across the street to The Tavern as a result. I won’t be calling any more orders in at UBar. Do better.

I had to write this review 48hours after visiting this place because the cheap alcohol will have you dead for that minimum length of time.
Went for what they call «$ 2 Tuesday» which consist of $ 2 rum, gin, and something else, as well as $ 2 shots. They also have $ 10 pitchers (for 1 person obviously). I had all three of these options. Yes. All three.
The alcohol is bottom shelf. Like way at the bottom. Mix that with a extremely strong hookah and you have yourself an interesting night.
Ok quick points:
— Place gets packed fast. Got there at 4:30 straight from my office and there were only 2 bar tables left (I guess no one works 9−5s anymore?)
— At 7pm they charge $ 10 cover to enter. Had I had to pay, I would have left.
— It is now a cash only establishment. But they have an atm inside that you can use which charges a $ 4 fee. Rumor is that patrons were getting drunk and paying with cards that had no funds or paying and then cancelling transactions, so the bar stopped accepting it altogether.
— At 11pm they remove the tables so that its standing room only. I didn’t stay that long to experience this but before we left, the place did look more like a club than a bar.
Overall, you can have a good time if you’re open to it. It reminds me of that club, Central Station, back when I was in college in the AUC. However I’m grown now and UBar isn’t quite for me, but if I wanted early (and cheap) drinks, then I would definitely go again but would stay long.

Haven’t came in a while because the service sucks but the wife wanted some wings so I came what a mistake they are still up to the same thing slow ass waitress who don’t care about anything but looking good and trying to mingle with the single guys to get big tips had to get a drink from o the bartender who is one of the best the wings are still good but the service man my grandmother move faster

Okay I hope I don’t offend anyone with this review, and if I do, I apologize because it’s completely unintentional/​. I was here this past Saturday night, and had a freaking blast! My friend and I were literally the only two white people in the joint, and we were on another level after tailgating for Luke Bryan all day, and visiting a few midtown bars before making our way over here. I promise you we had to be annoying, but everyone was awesome and helped us have a good time in our cowboy boots! Security, bartenders, patrons, everyone was great!
Also, we hadn’t eaten all day, so I don’t know if it was just a combo of starvation and drunken munchies, but them things thoooooo were so damn delicious!
Thankfully I was talked out of riding the bull before I started walking tall up to that thing to embarrass myself. Also, shout out to the crowd that cheered us on hopping around the dance floor singing «Sorry» by Beyonce… how embarrassing of us.

I always have a great time here. I’ve been to this bar more than any other. Great drink specials, $ 10 Long Island pitchers that aren’t weak, great music… if you’re into down South hip hop… and very cool, laid back crowd. Occasionally you’ll get that 1 female who’s angry at you because her boy-​friend/​husband is trying to get your attention when you’re paying him no mind… but that doesn’t happen all the time lol.
If you don’t want to pay to get in, get there early! Like, before the sun goes down early. Long gone are the days when UBar was free all day every day to get in. They do have ladies specials on some nights where it’s free for us, sorry fellas. And don’t park at the Taco Bell or any of those restaurants, you’ll get towed. And that’s a promise.

I went to the UBar with a few friends on a Tuesday for the wing and drink specials. I had an amazing time. I ordered 20 wings (spicy garlic and sweet spicy honey) and they were great. They came out fresh and flavorful and I was not disappointed. Honestly I wasn’t expecting them to be that good given it was 20 cent wing night. Normally places lack on the quality with specials like that LOL. The drinks were nice and strong (just like I like them). I will definitely make Tuesday nights a tradition.

@ The Ubar on camp creek 1^st time. The Battendar Ciara is awesome she’s putting out the drinks, food, hookah. Great bar experience I have had in a long time.

The food is good. There are a lot of TVs. So you can watch a football or basketball game from any seat in this place… Hookahs are allowed here, lots of smoke… I left my coat in the car because I did not want it to smell like smoke lol The music is good if you like rap.
I prefer to watch a game here, not really my turn up and dance type of place.. But it is a nice place. There is room for dancing

Plastic plates, cups and utensils for an establishment that is packed! Ridiculous! I was invited to meet some friends here and was underwhelmed to say the least. Arrived at 6:00 and the «hostess wasn’t here yet,» so we were told to find a table. The place was packed probably because of the $ 2/​$ 3 wing/​drink special. Our server was pleasant, but lacked attentiveness, most likely because she had too many tables-​not her fault so we tipped fairly. I was completely shocked when not only did drinks come in oversized plastic Dixie cups, but the wings came out in small styrofoam bowls. Is this a bar-​b-​que or a «Bar and Grill»!?! My party ordered Spicy Garlic, Spicy Bar-​B-​Que, and Jerk wings. The wings were tasty. I’d only recommend this place if you don’t have high standards of service, cheap drinks and decent food. But then, there are plenty of places around ATL that offer that with real plates and glasses. Not a place for grown ups. The bill came and we were told, they don’t accept credit cards with embedded chips and directed us to an ATM. Seriously! Serving on picnic ware and you’ve the nerve to refer us to an ATM because «your machine will not accept embedded cards.» Unbelievable!!! The chips are to protect consumers from fraud as a result of instances where patrons were erroneously charged at restaurants and such establishments. That issue was rectified with management and after we paid, we were given a survey… Advice to owner/​management, spend the money your saving on glasses and plates and invest in an appropriate POS system.

Me and the wifey went to this place with friends expecting to have a good time with food and drinks but what we got was a rip off! 20 dollars a person to get in on Saturday night, they advertised buffet with admission. There was no buffet and you hardly could get waitress service. Drinks were way over priced and not mixed very well. Way to many youngster in here for me, don’t go if your over 30 and don’t like ratchet hip hop songs with same beats and dudes dancing with each other taking selfies all night! They will charge you again if you forget something in your car and you leave and come back. Please avoid this place if you value you money time.

Service: slow; soo incredibly slow for no reason though. I went on a Thursday & surprisingly, there wasn’t even a substantial amount of people here. But the wait time would have suggested otherwise…
Atmosphere: it’s like a hip-​hop/​club version of hooters, with a DJ playing. And they have a bull… so yeah. But perhaps for people looking for this type of place, it’s cool I guess…
Food: I ordered the chicken and my cousin ordered buffalo wings. It was decent, but I was also very hungry. I originally ordered the chicken & waffles, but they weren’t cooking it anymore; or something like that…
Saving grace: having a full bar (expected), hookah (nice touch), DJ (will only play today’s top 10 hits), & specializing in seafood (although I didn’t order any; can’t vouch for it); all under one roof.
I’m not from Atlanta, nor do I visit frequently enough to know what the night life it like. Maybe if I was familiar with the area, I would have known what to expect. But I wasn’t too fond of is place. Once again, perhaps it’s cool for people looking for this type of atmosphere, iono

2016 Tragic event for someone of my status! First that cover charge 20 dollars to get in an pay for a seat. I stood! Bc im a barber no problem. .i decided to order one drink/​singular, bartender fixes me a pitcher mixed with alot of well liquor. I managed a spot in that area once, so i told her what i don’t drink i will trash, note im standing with a dang pitcher. I ordered wings finally got them. left my wings an food with a girlfriend at the bar headed to restroom. .stood in line, got back they done trashed my wings when i only ate one damn wing. I complain. .one wait staff told me ill go get u a order. so i waited again, decided to go back to the long ass restroom where the big Ironman gay chic security guard stands in the door .like monitors your dip dry piss flow with the door wide open., i chic askes can see go b4 bc she really had to go. I let her go bc i knew i didnt have to go pee. When I get in there Yes i was waiting to unplunge, The correctional acting security guard say,“U gots to go, u vomiting in the toilet! .note, im not drunk. so i ask the bitch since when having a eating disorder. is a crime in the restroom stile with no privacy? 3 LARGE SECURITY GUARDS grabbed on me tossing me out the door, did not check if i was with a party of people. I would not make this shit up., guess what an i still didn’t get my wings i paid for. smh, never will i attend that spot. .awful Al. check your laptop camera, an your shitty ass staff.smh.never again

1. $ 10 for women $ 20 for men.
2. The DJ killed the vibe with every word; he talked almost constantly.
3. The dance floor did expand when they removed tables only to be filled more people not interested with dancing.
4. The entire club revolves around the bull riding at the front and so every one faces one direction.
5. The feel of the club is, «we want this to be a club but Rodney made it a restaurant and so now we have that too.»
And finally
6. I showered for this. I want my shower back.

My first impression from when I walked in, to me finding a table, I would say «NO». But after awhile it turned out to be a really cool place. It was super crowded in the parking lot so I had to park in the back where it was pretty dark I almost didn’t want to park there but then I noticed they had some type of security overlooking the back of the building (don’t know if that was intentional or not).
One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the cover charge – $ 10 CASH ONLY. Usually I wouldn’t pay that but I’ve never been to Ubar so I said whatever. Luckily I had a 20 laying in my wallet to get me and my homegirl in.
Place reminds me of a Dugans just with wwaaayyy more space. The vibe was really chill, well the music was loud, so you will have to yell or talk into people’s ear. And I’m not sure if the servers wear different things on different days but they had on these unappealing bustiers. No hate at all – it just didn’t look good. You got servers with D cup boobs wearing an A-​Cup bustier top. My server, po’ baby was a sneeze away from her nipple coming out. Just try to accommodate all sizes lol.
I know it can get crazy in a bar but I don’t appreciate 3 – 4 servers walking past me not say ANYTHING or even attempting to assist me. I was about to leave at one point. But I went on Sunday so they had $ 10 pitchers (NICE!). The pitchers were small but boy were they strong! To make the drink last and not get watered down, I took the ice out the pitcher. Which once I did that I realized the liquor in the pitcher only made 3 full cups of the small cups (8oz cups) but it was STRONG so we didn’t care.
They have a really nice food menu, it was late when I came so I didn’t want to order all that food. Had some of my friend’s wings and they were pretty good.
Overall, I would come back to this place IF I’m on that side of town again. But I doubt I’ll travel out that way to pay a $ 10 cover charge, just saying.

Ima say this first. I personally feel people give this place a bad review because they thinks it’s ‘ratchet’. For one its in camp creek so of course a more ‘urban’ crowd will attend this place.
If your looking for a sports bar/​lounge type club setting to turn up without the crazy club crowd, come here! The place gets lit with people after a while, but nothing compared to some club crowds. It was a comfortably crowded place, can I say? Enough people to influence your turnup and the DJ will NOT let you down! Me and my lady went on a Thursday night where the specials included $ 10 margarita pitchers, $ 15 hookahs and ladies ride the bull for free. My girl loved the pitchers cause they were Gasssoooliiinee certified! The mint hookah was awesome and they gave free coal refills AND they refreshed my shisha once! I was surprised lol
So if your looking for a good time, wanna dance and little and watch people get thrown off a mechanical bull, come here! If you’re not a fan of today’s hottest rap, don’t come. Because that’s what they play!

Have visited this establishment when it was the Ultimate and the UBar. They have expanded it adding a VIP section and second bar but there is still little room for seating and eating. The crowd and music is great. The servers are okay.
They need a better system for ordering hookah. They currently take your drivers license when you order hookah, not sure of the rationale for this but each time the waitress has forgot to give me back my ID and I had to go back on another day to get it. The last was just last week. I called and the lady who answered said it wasn’t there. I knew better. I went up there and low and behold it was in a drawer with about 100 other ones from different states that people forgot or the waitress forgot to give back. Be careful!

I have been to the u bar numerous of time, I hate the services. Mange ment is horrible. Bartender overcharges you. Police on there side. Food is salty as hell

This place is ok. I’d rather go during the day before the other crowd comes in if you know what I’m saying. But the wings are ok. And the drinks are pretty good. The bull though… I guess some women see this as a chance to display to ppl what type of control they have. Bahahahah

It’s a hood sports bar. Ratchet music, but ok if u are in the mood for Gucci Mane, Young Thug music all night. Tuesday nights are jammed packed get there early for the $ 2 drink specials and .25 cent wings. Wednesday night is $ 3 dollar drinks and .35 cent wings. The other food is actually good and the wings are usually good. However one night they used brunt grease and they didn’t properly drain the grease from the wings… it was horrible. However they pour heavy and u will be in a very ratchet crowd., and did I mention u will hear ratchet music… lol
The bull rides are fun to watch sometimes and the Televisions are everywhere.
Parking is horrible
Don’t park at the hotel or Taco Bell u will get towed!!! This is a younger to middle age crowd.

Went on Friday night. Thought it was going to be relaxed it was more of a turn up lol. The DJ was stupid dumb. He played everything you could think of and mixed it well.
I got the appetizer sampler. It was okay. Nothing to boost about.
Got the fuzzy peach hookah. It was good. $ 20 was a bit much but still enjoyed it.
The waitress are super cute.
I did see some ratchetness and Tom foolery but I still enjoyed myself.
They served their long islands in small pitchers. I took a sip and I am 100% certain that that drink was pure liquor. The Bahama mama was good. I kept seeing a blue drink which later I believe I was told it was called a blue motherfucker. Wanted it but if your reading this maybe you should try it
If you like to observe and people watch, I’d say go. Have a couple drinks smoke some hookah and listen to the music being slayed.

Here’s why The Ubar only gets 3 stars from me:(My rating is based on combined visits since I forgot to rate it the 1^st time I went last year in September). The atmosphere and music was COMPLETELY different this time we went (2÷14÷15)’ than when we went in September! The music was mostly rap compared to a mix of rap and old school the last time… not impressed at all this time! Seeing that I’m not a big fan of the type of music that they play now on the radio… the rap and whatnot, it seems that’s ALL they played Saturday night! When we went in Sept., it was a mix of 90’s old school and the «now» music… now I can dig that!
Although, it was Valentine’s Day and we got there VERY late (1am) it was overly crowded and there were more «babies”(25 and under) this time… I don’t like partying w/​the «babies», but oh well, we made the best of it.
Overall experience for me would make me probably not return, but if I do it will be b/​c someone else wants to go and experience it for themselves.

Will not return to this ignorant establishment. I was accused. no wait, my shoe was picked out of a dark line up and was accused of dragging a $ 100 bill on the ground that I guess belonged to a member of the staff. Think I’m playing? No, I’m not. I was held against my will until they viewed the tapes. I told them to check me at least 3 times so I could leave. When I offered they refused and then said my family was in suspicion cause I could’ve passed it to them. End result was that we can’t return or we would be arrested. My family was put in cuffs and put in the police car cause some black cop wanted to flex his authority. I normally don’t do hood areas and ratched clubs so their will be no returning to that area period. I did enjoy seeing the ladies ride the bull though and at least I got a few numbers from some cute fellas. Don’t worry people, nor I, my family, or my shoes were taken into custody. They never found the $ 100 (that anyone could have picked up), and they never saw me picking anything up from the floor. Thanks to the girl that picked up my debit card and ID though that I dropped and then passed to my cousin to put in her purse.
And FYI to this establishment, it smells like a cow barn and day ol’ hot wings. Tell your girls behind the bar to learn how to wipe the bar down so people can actually enjoy it and your waiters need to spend less time flexing on the bull and more time cleaning off the tables.

Need new DJ and they need to switch out the grease that they cook their food in out more often.

I only gave this 3 stars because the place was way too crowded to get a table and eat, however the wings were damn good. The place was so packed that we had to share a table with someone, just to eat. And this was on a Tuesday.
I can only imagine what a weekend crowd is like.
Also keep in mind this is the ATL, so there will be a show for sho!

Nope. I clearly came here on an off night. Kinda like a homegrown BET awards after party. I was just looking for some wings and a few hard to make drinks.
U-​bar used to be cool back in the day… but I’m sure all the high schoolers there thought the same of me.

Bring Back the Ultimate! This place is horrible and it use to be really good. This is what happens when businesses start to «smell» themselves. So let me start off by saying I have not been to this place in a while. I had a craving for fried green tomatoes which use to be really good, instead I got a basket of grease with thousand island dressing. I ordered wings and fries and of course the fries were burnt so I sent them back and now the wings were cold. I was just over this place before I even got comfortable.
My own personal belief is that once this place got their little debut on LHH ATL they decided to price gauge, there were no drink specials and the wings were just way overpriced. I definitely will not be returning. Not sure if the the waitress and bartenders smoking the hookah instead of servicing me influenced it at all, but that’s probably just a guess!

The new «U Bar» is cool. I’ve been here before when it was «The Ultimate».
The only reason I give this ‘almost sports’ bar 3 stars is because the music is great and the people are cool as ever, but the parking lot is always atrocious. The patrons are always circling the parking lot find spots. There are always cops at the door whenever you come. The music is always live. I wouldn’t really come here to watch any games because it’s forever LOUD.
Nonetheless, the drinks are just OKAY. They have $ 11 pitchers of certain mixed drinks but I had the Blue Motherfucker and it wasn’t good at all. I hate feeling obligated to do something because I spent $$ on it and won’t get my money back. Stick with a beer.
If you’re lucky enough to get a table make sure you hold on to it or have your friends watch the table!
The customers are what makes this place because the folks who work here aren’t the friendliest. I do have fun, though. Just make sure you bring your friends.
