My first impression from when I walked in, to me finding a table, I would say«NO». But after awhile it turned out to be a really cool place. It was super crowded in the parking lot so I had to park in the back where it was pretty dark I almost didn’t want to park there but then I noticed they had some type of security overlooking the back of the building(don’t know if that was intentional or not). One thing I wasn’t a fan of was the cover charge – $ 10CASHONLY. Usually I wouldn’t pay that but I’ve never been to Ubar so I said whatever. Luckily I had a 20 laying in my wallet to get me and my homegirl in. Place reminds me of a Dugans just with wwaaayyy more space. The vibe was really chill, well the music was loud, so you will have to yell or talk into people’s ear. And I’m not sure if the servers wear different things on different days but they had on these unappealing bustiers. No hate at all – it just didn’t look good. You got servers with D cup boobs wearing an A-Cup bustier top. My server, po’ baby was a sneeze away from her nipple coming out. Just try to accommodate all sizes lol. I know it can get crazy in a bar but I don’t appreciate 3 – 4 servers walking past me not say ANYTHING or even attempting to assist me. I was about to leave at one point. But I went on Sunday so they had $ 10 pitchers(NICE!). The pitchers were small but boy were they strong! To make the drink last and not get watered down, I took the ice out the pitcher. Which once I did that I realized the liquor in the pitcher only made 3 full cups of the small cups(8oz cups) but it was STRONG so we didn’t care. They have a really nice food menu, it was late when I came so I didn’t want to order all that food. Had some of my friend’s wings and they were pretty good. Overall, I would come back to this place IF I’m on that side of town again. But I doubt I’ll travel out that way to pay a $ 10 cover charge, just saying.

My first dive into the Urban experience and it was good. The music was a bit on the loud side, so holding a conversation was nearly impossible. The waitresses were friendly and outgoing. But, I am not sure about the mechanical bull???

Here’s my review. I came to your«Ultimate» establishment. First of all, your hired pigs outside are terribly nasty, and I wanted to call out your scumbag security pigs before even going in and going on an anti-police tirade. Secondly, $ 20 for entry? What a joke! Just because it’s in a newer retail building shared with a dentistry practice doesn’t instantly make it amazing, and your mechanical bull shouldn’t magically make my Yuengling $ 2 more. outside the perimeter. So what? At these rates, you’d think were downtown. Third, take women off their imaginary pedestal. Even right now just looking at the photos, EVERY photo is just girls, girls, girls. Good job, and I know this is one of the reasons why women are such bitches these days. Seriously, I’ve been to a gay bar before and hooked up with a woman much more easily, AND she didn’t whine the whole time while playing on her cell phone, demanding I buy her things… and not thank me afterwards(does this sound familiar, guys?). Fourth, the music played is the same songs everywhere. It’s just louder. Lose the song– the one with the same words over and over that say«I don’t give a fuck about you». Really? …and people dance to that? You can expect to see things continue to go downhill in a culture that hoists trash like this to the top. Count on it! All in all, I left very angry, and it was a long drive home alone. I’ll stick to my faithful little dives where I’m known, and I don’t have to pay extra to hoist up a sports-obsessed, sick culture while also continuing my search for a black girlfriend. Fuck the NFL! Read a book! Learn about your government. — Oh, almost forgot… No one eats here. Forget the steak and seafood gimmick.

Simply put, I’m addicted. Even with the cover, parking shenanigans, and poor hookah, i’m addicted. — If you haven’t been around in a while(say over a year) and you still don’t know, the Ultimate Sports Bar and Grill is now the newer and improved Ubar, er uh, then now ya know. — The drinks are always strong. — The food is absolutely AM-A-ZING but pricey. Their menu has lots of variety. — Get there early or you will have to wait for a table — or not get one. — Be patient with the wait staff; the girls are hit-or-miss; for the most part, miss — most have attitudes and the culture of Ubar is to flag a waitress down, then wait for the TRUE waitress for your table to come around just to tell you to close your tab with the other waitress, so that you can order from her. I think the coined term these days is ‘Ratchet’ within urban culture. — They have THE worse Hookah I’ve ever had in Atl… it’s very dry, very very dry.terrible. Their Hookah is the only negative I give this place. — Bathrooms, par for your avg bar/club/restaurant in Atl — DJ’s are ALWAYS on point(that’s good!), but the music is really too damn loud… really. — They do charge a $ 10 or $ 20 cover($ 20 on Thur — Sat I believe, but best to call) after the Sun hides her pretty little face(again, better to call) — Parking is a bitch… but stick with it; once u get inside and have a drink or 2(i suggest the margarita pitcher) you’ll be aaaaaaalllriiiiiiight! — Ubar is a part of the Atl Hip-Hop Bar & Club Ring(I made that up myself!!), so you’ll see guest celebrity and celebreality appearances from time to time, and is also a sponsor for 107.9FM in Atl/Hampton, GA — so their DJ’s will host often. — The bull ride is a spectacle to watch — the ladies that attempt the bull ride are a spectacle to watch, though after a few of their drinks, you will be so into your zone that you won’t notice it. — The police presence makes you feel safe, not paranoid. I’ve been there one night when there when security had to rush them out. It was awesome — they got the job done swiftly and with minimal disturbance to other patrons. A few con’s, yes… but this is one of those places that you go to with one of your best friends or with your love-bug and have a blast. You do not go here for a good atmosphere filled with great customer service. If you aren’t already in a good head space, in an upbeat positive mind-frame, Ubar probably won’t help you get there. Ubar is no picker-upper.

The worst service, experience I ever had! I came with my group of lady friends and literally sat there for 30minutes and no one acknowledge us none what so ever. We have to walk up to the bar to get our own drinks sat back down still nobody acknowledge us. 30minutes or more later we have to grab a waitress that was cleaning a table next to us and asked her for menus… ordered food they came back with no utensils or napkins and the waitress that helped us went to jump on the bull. No one acknowledge us, this was around 10pm to 1130 on Saturday. I felt that the workers was too busy having fun and yes I saw them drinking. I like the atmosphere but I’m not going back to this place ever.

This Is The Place To Be! If you don’t mind a laid back urban sport bar kinda feel then this is your place! They always have great food specials and good music(RAP) playing! Wings are the best when you pair them with a pitcher of whatever cocktail you like drinking!

Do not go here if you are not black. I say this as a black woman. I took my friend(who is caucasian and very open minded to everyone and everything) and she was severely mistreated and subjected to racism. The servers made comments to her that were so inappropriate and treated her horribly. As a black woman who has experienced racism on many occasions in life, I can not condone an establishment that is racist against ANY ethnic group. I hang with a variety of different people from all different sexes, races, and sexual orientations… so glad I didn’t bring any of my other friends! All we wanted to do was get some drinks and she wanted to ride the bull. I was so disgusted we left after one drink. Furthermore the atmosphere is the most unpleasant. Horrible parking, it’s clear there’s no rhyme or reason to how the tables/venue is worked as far as the servers are concerned, one drink order from order to the close of the tab took 1 hour and 45 mins. Most of the servers are hood boogers. I get that this is a bar and not supposed to be an upscale experience, but it was beyond low class and horrible. I’m straight. They couldn’t pay me to come back let alone drive into the parking lot of this establishment!

The new«U Bar» is cool. I’ve been here before when it was«The Ultimate». The only reason I give this ‘almost sports’ bar 3 stars is because the music is great and the people are cool as ever, but the parking lot is always atrocious. The patrons are always circling the parking lot find spots. There are always cops at the door whenever you come. The music is always live. I wouldn’t really come here to watch any games because it’s forever LOUD. Nonetheless, the drinks are just OKAY. They have $ 11 pitchers of certain mixed drinks but I had the Blue Motherfucker and it wasn’t good at all. I hate feeling obligated to do something because I spent $$ on it and won’t get my money back. Stick with a beer. If you’re lucky enough to get a table make sure you hold on to it or have your friends watch the table! The customers are what makes this place because the folks who work here aren’t the friendliest. I do have fun, though. Just make sure you bring your friends.

They are now called«The U-Bar». I reviewed the place previously I guess they no longer consider themselves a sports bar, so this will be a new review on what is an old place. I can agree it is no longer a sports bar. It is an whatever makes you feel right kinda bar. They still have loud music and videos playing. The servers are still full of attitude and the margaritas are still made with cheap tequila and margarita mix. You can now buy a small pitcher(3 drinks) of margarita, long island or blue mutherfuckers for $ 11 They also have a bull that you can ride and from what I gather, there are certain nights of the week where you can ride it for a chance to win a couple hundred dollars. While I was there this past weekend, two girls rode it and if I didn’t know any better, I would have thought they would began making out on the bull if the crowd would have just cheered them on a little bit. I guess I’ve just gotten old, and no longer want to go to a spot where I can barely get to bar because everyone is standing around the bar but not placing any orders. The shot girls kept passing by with trays of shots, but who wants to take shots at a place like this, its simpler to just order a drink The $ 15 cover charge threw me for a loop, because the last time I went it was free entry… and its cash only, so I went to the ATM inside to get cash. $ 5.99 is the ATM fee in this place. Is that even legal? After about an hour of not being able to order food or take one more rap song blasting an ungodly voulmes I headed out. I do give the place a plus for parking. They really don’t care how you are parked, as long as you don’t block someone in and can exit without hitting someones car. Another plus for heavy police presence. I’m sure this helps keep down what could surely become a rowdy spot. PS. My daughter says they have $ 2 Tuesdays.

Name and owners changed. Now called the U Bar. Music is too loud. Drinks are overpriced. Bar service is ok, but waited service… nah ah. I swore I would never go back since one of the waitresses stole my credit card info and bought a plane ticket back in 2010(WTF!), but I gave the new«U Bar» the benefit of the doubt only to find out that its still not worth it. I never plan to go back there. I wish there were more bars on Camp Creek pkwy.

This is my 2nd time going to this place. My GPS had me down the street by the Walgreens(not The Ultimate’s fault, I don’t think lol). So when I got there, I was in dire need of a drink. My friends were already there and had ordered a pitcher of margarita for $ 10(yes, a pitcher for $ 10). It was good, not watered down at all! I didn’t want to drink it all so I saw my favorite drink on the menu and ordered: a pineapple upside down martini. I’ve ordered this drink from another location before and they didn’t make it right. And they didn’t make it right here either. But, I didn’t make a big deal out of it. We came there for bull riding. It’s $ 5 for 2 rides. I forgot to get cash out but they had an ATM in the place. There’s a $ 3.99 service charge. $ 4 charge and I only need $ 5? No thank you. So I did not ride the bull. My friends did though and they were thrown off quickly lol. However when the waitresses got up there to right, the bull seemed a lot more tamed… hmmmmm…Anywho, I had the cheese sticks. And they were cheesesticks lol! My friends seemed to be enjoying their foot though. From what I hear, the shrimp and grits were really good. I’ve had the wings and they’re good also. I was a little disappointed because I usually go here if I want to meet a guy cause they seem to populate this place but they sure weren’t there last night. Maybe because it was a Thursday, I don’t know. All in all, if this place still had a location 10 minutes from my house, I’d be there. But since this is all the way on the other side of town, I probably won’t frequent as much.

Recently went last Saturday«club night» & the entire staff is RUDE from the unhappy security guard at the door to the bitchy unprofessional bartenders to the inexperienced waitress’.all of which should strive to DOBETTER! The bartender TRIED to charge me $ 11 for a drink but I overheard him charging a lady $ 11 for a whole pitcher .I said Hellllll No! She paid $ 11 for a Long Island pitcher give me a Grateful Dead pitcher !(Almost the same drink basically, just different color) !! No tip for his ass, trying to jugg me. I don’t even TRY to order food, as stated b4 the staff act so rude as if they dnt want want you to ask them anything so guess what I won’t & ill save my money I would recommend this spot if all other options fall through this can b your«plan D» back up spot but after 1 hour & you can’t walk anywhere or sit anywhere or get any service(they ignore you tapping them and u can’t call them over the music is super loud) you’ll wish you didn’t waste your time. Parking alone will make u reconsider & starting Unilocaling other options. Tip: Don’t get jipped by the light skin male bartender! Eaves drop if you have too! 2nd visit, I won’t visit again but visit at your own risk

I completely agree with Slim M. This place also gets a 0 from me. Our flight came in late and we were looking for a place to eat, four of us to be exact; 2 guys, 2 girls. We’ve heard on the local radio station that UBar had their famous country boiled seafood bucket. Additionally, the radio host said that he was hosting a $ 1,000 bull riding contest, ladies free before midnight, gentlemen $ 10 cover charge. Okay, the guys were willing to pay since they might enjoy the atmosphere. As we arrived, parking was horrendous! People were parking illegally, smoking weed in their car, and loitering around the parking area. I was sure our car would’ve been broken into if we went in to eat. Thankfully there were a lot of police officers roaming the area and the front entrance. We felt relatively safe and decided to go eat. Before the front door, the police/security checked our IDs, after him was this greasy looking man collecting cover charge, we gave him a $ 20 for the guys, and asked for a table for 4 since we’ll be eating dinner. He looked at us and said it was $ 40 total. Excuse me?! It’s not even 11pm; your website and radio host said ladies FREE before midnight. I told him that and took out my phone to show him their own website. He nodded, and said, «Okay, okay. I’m going to do you guys a favor and let you all in for $ 20.» What the?! Was he high?! What kind of crap was he smoking on?! Doing us a favor?! We’re here giving your crappy, ghetto looking establishment business and you’re doing us a favor?! Hah! What a joke! He took the $ 20, and opened the door for us. Once inside, the place was packed. No more seats left, not even ones at the bar. We asked the hostess if she would add our name on the waitlist and give us a call when a table opened up. Waited for 25 – 30 minutes, still no table, no food, only alcohol drinks on an empty stomach. I was too hungry and pissed off to even watch the bull riding contest. If you know that there weren’t any table available, why take our money then… greedy bastard. I hope this place goes out of business.

0 stars is what this place got from me.( Unilocal, please add that as an option.) Atrocious does not EVEN begin to explain my experience tonight. Oh my god, I can’t believe a place like this exists. Goddamn. To begin, like so many others have said, parking is ridiculous. There is NOWHERE to park and there will be a long line of cars waiting for a space right along with you. Once you do find a spot, you go wait in a long line to get inside(which really should have been a cue for me to leave, ’cause what the hell?) I knew this place was awful because of the idiotic, loudmouth, aggressive people hanging out in front. And no kudos to the pervert officer/security guard standing to the side smiling at every young woman’s ass/titties while grown men stand inches from each other’s faces cursing and screaming like lunatics. The music was at a level 20 on a scale from 1 – 10. For a bar. A «bar». Bar is used extremely loosely; this place is no bar. It’s more like a gathering spot for young urbanites that don’t require much of anything to enjoy themselves. I couldn’t hear myself think inside this place, it was so damn loud. Once my friend and I were inside, we literally took a couple steps and could not move. Few more steps, could not move. TOO. MANY. PEOPLE. I pray they never experience a fire or a deranged killer, ’cause multiple people would be hurt and/or trampled to death. It’s actually dangerous with how many people were inside. We stood near the bar(in which the seats had been taken up by people who were no longer ordering drinks but just needed a place to sit down at this point), and we waited for 30+ minutes and watched about a million people swarming around like insects in this extremely undersized room. No one ever took our drink orders. We tried squeezing through the crowd to find a table and never did. We spotted the weak«VIP» section, which was a complete joke. A vertically challenged, muscled-up dude protected this«VIP» section with all his miniature-sized heart. At this point, I’m done… we slowly make our way towards the exit, but not before a tall, older guy decided to grope my friend’s ass and rub against me while smiling and looking all kinds of predator-ish. This is why I need a gun. Asap. Finally, we’re out in the parking lot. I looked back at the door and could not, for the life of me, understand why ANYONE would consider this place fun or a great place to chill .25 hot wings/$ 2 drinks? Damn that. It’s not that serious. This bar/club/hang-out spot/standing ovation room should be shut down until the brain-dead owners can figure out that there kinda needs to be a CAP on how many people can occupy this place at once. FIRST and LAST visit!

I went to the Ultimate in hopes of watching the Falcons win and eating some good food with some good service in the company of good people. I accomplished two of these goals: the Falcons won and I was with some great people. I thought the food here was going to be good. Nope. It was not. We ordered fried green tomatoes, chicken fingers, honey barbecue boneless wings, chz sticks, mac and chz and corn on the cob. In my opinion, nothing was good. That’s a crying shame. The mac and chz had no salt in it. What? In fact, nothing was seasoned right. We were all looking around like wowsers, this is nasty. The service was not good either. Our waitress had to be asked several times to refill drinks and our food took entirely too long to get to us after being ordered. It wasn’t even that busy. I strain to understand why they added gratuity on a party of four. Also, the food costs are way too much. Everything was at least a dollar more than it should have been. I probably won’t be returning here. I need the food to taste good. It didn’t. However, they do have ample televisions for watching the games, with two side by side super large screens for good viewing. Also, the sweet tea was pretty good. Still, this is not enough to bring me back here.
