Damn this recession is eating businesses up and spitting them out! I literally spent about 15 minutes inside of this place. Grabbed a quick drink on some random night then headed next door to meet to meet the girlfriend(at the time). Very cozy, trendy, sheek, and elegant place. I actually REALLY liked it. The wine/cocktails were a bit pricey, but I imagine rent at this location was not the cheapest in the city. I think the fact that they had a doorman was a tad bit extra, but hey, whatever works. I did like the spot… sad to see it go. Really thought it would have been a great fit for the city. RIP Wine Loft

Went here last night for the 1 year anniversary with the g/f. The wide stairway led up to a nicely laid out patio area with ample outdoor seating that I’m sure is a great place to lounge during the summer, however, seeing as we had just come from dancing and she had a great little dress on, I didnt want to chance the temps dropping and her being too cold so we headed on inside. The large open area works well inside and even though I had made a reservation, there was plenty of space available and we probably just could have walked in, but I’m a little more. a-retentive than that so I was glad to have the reservation just in case. Anyway, we took a seat near the windows with a nice view of some of the skyline of Atlanta and the full moon last night and dug into the wine and food list. The wine list was varied just enough to allow wine lovers from around the world to find something to please their palates. She decided to let me order for her for the first round so I wanted to make some good selections but couldn’t pass up one of the wines on the menu solely based on the name: Menage a Trois Cabernet.(hey, she laughed when I told her what it was so score one for me!). The wine was quite good and definitely could have been the supporting actor in our own dirty films, but I digress. We ordered a sampling of their small plates including the Lamb Wellington, the spreads plate, and the baked brie. The spreads were all scrumptious and while she liked the baba ganoush, I took a liking to the hummus and the olive spread was flavorful as well. The baked brie was soft, gooey, nutty and flavorful. The sauce they drizzled on it added to the enjoyment and we also tried it with the strawberry they included with the plate and it actually complimented the fruit quite well. Both of us agreed that the wine complemented the cheese quite well. By that time we had both finished our first glass of wine and ordered 2 more glasses, her a nice Chianti and me a nice Pinot Noir. We moved onto the Lamb Wellington and since lamb is her favorite we had high expectations. The lamb was good, but we probably should have had it first as some of the moisture had been absorbed into the puff pastry and it was a little doughy and soggy but was still good. We decided to order the chocolate lava cake and the prosciutto wrapped figs on endive for dessert. We sampled the figs first and we both agreed that the figs were an unusual choice but it worked as a dessert. With the savory prosciutto and the sweet figs we had the best of both worlds, or so we thought until we dug into the chocolate lava cake! As a side note, there was a party that came in that was quite loud and boisterous and I think they might have mistaken The Wine Loft for the sports bar 3 doors down. Thankfully, they left after about 10 minutes and silence replaced their loud, abrasive voices. The cake had a nice crispy cake-like crust that reminded us of Oreos but with a cake center and, of course, the ooey-gooey lava center. Add the vanilla ice cream and the honey they had drizzled on the plate and we were both in dessert heaven. It was at this time that we needed to leave to start our trek back to the northern suburbs but we were both quite satiated and pleased with our meal. I would be interested in the brunch they are advertising that is supposed to be coming soon and seeing what kinds of entrees they might come up with for a brunch menu. I would definitely recommend trying this place for a date night or as a stop before heading out to the theater or a show downtown. We both enjoyed it and had a great time!

I was visiting from San Francisco, and my friends know that I am a Wino, so they took me here. I loved the vibe. The DJ was playing the funky house music that I am used to at home– took every ounce of strength to not get up and bounce around. The atmosphere is very cool, with a nice mix of folks. My only complaint, and it’s a major one to me, is that the host asked me to take my hat off. Maybe if I had a baseball cap??? A wool Kangol, though? I think not. Especially since it leaves me with hat hair. Look Wine Loft: This would never happen in San Francisco. Such a cool place, and you have a dress code? leave that to the uptight places. I mean, that customer that your concerned about isn’t going to go there anyhow. It’s a wine bar!!! Wine attacts only a certain customer, and they know how to «act». Also, the selection could have been a slight bit better. There were no Petite Syrah options, and the Cab options were minimal. A lot of Merlots, although it seems merlot is making a comeback. Overall, kudos to you. I think you only have a few easy things to adjust, and you’ll have one of the best spots in the country, which many can’t claim. Take this review to heart!

I own five dresses, two of which can’t be worn in this season. So when my guy took me to the wine loft for VDay, I left thinking about the fact that I need to tighten up my dress game. I was already planning my next outing at the Loft and I wanted to look the part. This is a great spot for a laid back night out with friends or a date. The Wine Loft is a beautifully decorated lounge dressed up in chocolate browns and soothing Earth tones. Gone are the tables, uncomfortable chairs, and loud colors. The music was at the perfect level and the seating was more comparable to my living room than any place that I’ve gone out for drinks. At the server’s suggestion, I tried a sweet Riesling, that was, in the words of JJ Evans, DYNOMITE! Me and my guy kicked back on a plush sofa gazing out the window and enjoying one another’s company. The only downer is that the view is of a not-so-scenic parking garage. Would be lovely to have this spot a little higher up so we could have enjoyed a view of the city.

It was 11:15 on Valentine’s Day and I had just returned home from a dinner at Waffle House, a show at Relapse, and a drink at Gilbert’s. For whatever reason, I wasn’t ready to call it a night, and luckily I received a text from Kristine M saying«want to grab a drink?» You bet, lady! We made our way down to the Wine Loft. There’s $ 5 Valet across the street but I think we could have found free parking if we had actually looked for it. No matter, I was okay with the splurge. Walking in to the Wine Loft, I was first impressed by the amount of space. This place is HUGE. Lots of couches and chairs to lounge on, dimly lit, beautiful tin ceiling, and super swanky. We were told that each person needs to eat/drink $ 25 worth to sit on one of the couches, otherwise we could just sit at the bar. I’m hoping this is just a Valentine’s day thing, because $ 25/pp seems like a lot to me. So make our way to the bar we did! There was a surprisingly good 2 person band playing which definitely added to the atmosphere. Our bartender seemed a little ditzy and a lot slow. It took us a good 5 – 10 minutes to get 2 drinks after we ordered them. They were out of the brie and figs I ordered, so I went with the cheese plate. Again, that took another 25 minutes or so to arrive. Once Alain L showed up, the bartender continued to drop the ball a bit more. No Seagram’s, and she didn’t know what to replace it with. Still, she was quite friendly and we were in no rush, so it wasn’t too big of a deal. I’d happily return to the Wine Loft when looking for something a bit more upscale than usual. The prices and swankiness don’t make it a regular spot for me, but the attractive clientele and sleek vibe make me want to come back for more.

We stopped here on the way home from Figo. Checked out the reviews on the Unilocal Mobile app and they were good. They weren’t wrong either. This place is super cool inside. REALLY nice décor and really welcoming. There are a couple of different rooms, curtains sectioning off some areas and a mix of couches and chairs. The outside patio will be great in the summer. We sat at the bar and Ashley waited on us. She let us try about 4 – 5 wines before we decided on one of her awesome recommendations. Turns out — bottles $ 40+ are ½ off on Tuesdays! Score! They’ve got food too, and the scampi dish sounded really good. Need to check that out next time. We’ll definitely be back.

Might I just say this is one of my new favorite places in ATL. I am a fan of such venues that make me seem as if I am not in the«Atlanta Scene». The décor is swanky and is a great place for intimate conversation-whether with a date or girlfriends. For the Ladies: I highly recommend having cocktails on a saturday evening for ladies night, the specials stop at 11 pm. There $ 5 top-shelf cocktails are great and so are the wine specials. FYI: Like for any venue you MUST ask for the ladies night specials, but believe me it is well worth asking! P. S.- The dress code is extremely strict and the«Top-Flight» bouncer is quick to send males away if they are not dressed to par.

Had a great time here last week when decided to have their gay Tuesday night event at this bar. I did not know what to expect but I was eager to try this place out since its very close to where I live. The place is beautiful! Beautiful wood bar, multiple couches and mini«living» areas. What was surprising is that there are no tables! I guess if you want to eat the tapas you have to go to the bar or grab a couch that has a coffee or side table. The drinks here are well made and the service is fantastic. Definitely a great place to get a few drinks prior to going to another destination. I could see Unilocal having an Elite event at The Wine Loft in the near future!

I went to the opening of the Wine Loft on 11⁄18 and it was great. I had gotten a sneak preview at another event a few weeks before and I fell in love with the place. After leaving Stats one night, I drove away and as soon as I saw it out of the corner of my eye, I was enchanted. This place is cozy place in every way. It’s tucked away on what is quickly becoming a busy Marietta Street. The inside is warm and dim. One side has nice leather couches and the other side has plush couches with plenty of pillows. It is definitely a date-friendly environment. The wine and drinks list is extensive and the staff are very knowledgeable on their products. Saturdays they have ‘ladies night’ with $ 3 wines and $ 5 specialty cocktails. I haven’t tried it yet, but I definitely recommend it.

As plush and polished as this place is, I really see no need to return. I went there a couple weeks back on a Friday for a friend’s birthday party. I parked in the STATS parking structure across the street for $ 5, but I believe they had complimentary valet. This place is two doors down from STATS, next to a sushi spot called Rise. You have to walk up these verrrrry wide concrete stairs. They had a big bouncer dude, but he just checked my ID and joked around, rather than give me any ‘tude. Inside, its all sumptuous crimson carpet and gilded mirrors, gauzy metallic curtains and softly flickering candlelight. They have about 3 seperate areas, which make it perfect for reservations for celebrations. Here’s the part though – they are pricey as hell. Most per glass prices were $ 10 and up. I don’t see myself coming there for a bottle, and the per glass prices were pretty all over the map as well. I’m not sure if my girl got a good deal on the bottles she bought for her party, but I didn’t feel like I could just stop in and sample a glass on a Thursday. It felt more like someplace to go if you were trying to boss up and impress someone. The food offerings were very meat/cheese board, so I wouldn’t go back for that either. So, in short it’s very nice place, just not for me!

This place is the cutesy! Ok. can I just say that… I like Unilocal. I may need to create my own site with Unilocal in mind. This review thing is catchy! Ok enough about that… back to the review! HA! The wine loft is nice. It’s located right next to Stats. The inside is tooo cute and cozy for just you and your girls. You must be escorted by your man for this one… I repeat take your man with you to this place… Its just tooo sexy… You would never think that this place has all these different rooms for sitting and enjoying food or your signature cocktail… def a cool place.
