Too Groovy Texture Salon

My appt was as 10 AM. The stylist did not show up. So I was helped by a newer stylist. She was great. My hair cut is amazing. Not sure about the color, but i will be going back. It did take 5 hours, but she did a lot. Price was fair, what all the work she did.
The lady at the front desk was very nice. My consulation was thorough.
The salon space is awkward and tight, so I plan only to go on week days.

This was my first time at the textures salon of too groovy I’m all natural so I don’t get my hair straightened. I went in for a dye and possible trim. I take great care of my hair. Initially I didn’t know how I wanted my hair dyed. When I finally decided I told my stylist Angela. I had already been washed which was wierd in my opinion. The dye was applied and my scalp was on fired immediatedly. I told Angela and she asked me if I had scratched I’m like no but ur shampoo girl just washed my hair which involved scrubbing my scalp. She took me to the shampoo bowl and rinsed me out immediately. I was very upset at this point because I the dye wasn’t even on for 5min so I knew it wouldn’t change my hair color the way I wanted. Once leaving the shampoo bowl it was just as expected my hair wasn’t near the color promised and I wasn’t willing to do I redye the same day. That’s to damaging. She told me if I wanted I could come back to get it redone. Then she proceeded to put half a bottle of design esstianel mouse in my hair. My hair hates anything with glycerin so I was like whoa whatever I’ll wash it out when I get home. She was very rough on my hair as well while applying the mouse. She asked it I wanted to sit under the dryer I was sure because it was cold outside. After my hair dryed it was sooooooo dry like breakoff dry. Cashing out I was charge for a styling service that I said I didn’t want I told them I would do my own hair I just wanted the color but she did it anyway. 100 dollars gone down the drain for a half dye job and dry hair I had to go home and wash and deep condition. I don’t go get my hair done by the «professional» often because I don’t trust people with my hair. I confided in these ppl and they treated my hair like crap! Never again.

My name is Jessica. And I’m a first tine customer at too groovy. I went for an appointment this past Friday. Scheduled for 5:15. The only great service i received was from t by e receptionist. I went in for a take down. A wash and for them to put my clip in in MT hair. Normally a 2 hour process 2.5 max 3 hours for slow ppl. Buy y’all when I tell you i didn’t leave that salon until. after 10:00pm.!Anne Ther hair stylist was rude! Like I made her take all day! Don’t confirm an appointment if you have to set other ppl at the danger time. It just doesn’t work. NEVER AGAIN! AND they are TOO OVER PRICED! $ 55 for a twistout! #icant first and last time!

Went in for a curly hair shape up. My stylist was Zeno. He did a fantastic job with shaping up my hair. He took his time and gave me a GREAT cut. I love it! I definitely will return to Too Groovy Textures Hair Salon. Kudos

As soon as I walked in I was greeted warmly by the lady at the front desk. I was taken to the wash area and had one of the best hair washes ever. The shampoo assistant was very nice and did a great job and soon sat me in Sande’s chair. Sande did the big chop for me and was very informative on how to care for my hair afterwards. The atmosphere was nice and it was great to see so many different naturals in one area! I will be back !
