Not for lunch. Don’t go for lunch. It’s cold and dimly lit with the lingering smell of last night’s alcohol. The staff are nice and food is good but the discomfort of a cold, dingy lunch isn’t worth it.

I really like this place! Granted it’s another chain restaurant but the food is surprisingly good! I’ve had so many different items on the menu as you can see below: Tacos: The Hills Run Red The Greek Philly Cheesesteak Tombstone Chicken Monterey The Wild Alaskan The Cuban The Pulled Pork My absolute favorite item on the menu is the ‘Corral Burrito(Twisted)’. It is mouthwatering! It’s sooooo huge that you have a meal for the next day as well! The prices are great! The drinks are great! This is one of the first places I hit when I first moved to ATL years ago and still go back for more. They also have a special on Tuesdays called«Taco Tuesdays» and tacos are only $ 2 with a beverage purchase. It also has lots of TVs! I definitely recommend it!

We went on a Sunday night(Labor Day Weekend) We sat outside on the patio, which was still wet, but it had rained hours ago… not sure what the wait staff was doing because they surely weren’t serving us anything. We got our own drinks(overpriced) and had to order food at the bar before our server scurried over without an apology. Went with a friend who needs assistance walking, and when we were leaving were almost trampled by a drunk moron in a tie dye shirt. I would never go back here again.

Having trashed Twisted Taco in other reviews I thought I would give this one a better score. Part of the reason is that I did not order food, just beer. SUPER loud basketball game on, but that was part of why i was dragged there. This location has a nice patio. Chips and salsa weren’t bad, and the Miami Heat won, so I’m in a good mood. Three stars!

I think this place is aptly named, but the ownership might consider including some additional adjectives in order to give a more accurate portrayal of what patrons can expect. If they’d like to keep with the alliterative theme, some potential candidates that immediately come to mind are tired, tortuous, and terrible. Unsuspecting patrons should also know that there are a select number of tables in the place that are literally behind bars, which I can only presume are intended to keep people from evacuating the premises and never returning. Food: Twisted taco offers subpar Tex-Mex fare. Menu offerings include standard run-of-the-mill options, including tacos, quesadillas, burritos, fajitas, taco salads, burgers, and sandwiches. Complimentary chips and salsa are served, but as others have noted, the chips are incredibly stale and the salsa is mildly reminiscent of something you’d expect from a hospital cafeteria vat. Unfortunately, things don’t improve as the meal progresses. During my visit, I opted for a classic frozen margarita and three different chicken-based tacos, all of which were underwhelming. The margaritas was virtually devoid of alcohol and the three tacos were indistinguishable from one another, incredibly bland, and hastily prepared. Service: The only redeeming aspect of this place was the service. I dined on the patio in a group of five, which unexpectedly swelled to over a dozen. Our waitress handled the situation excellently and even managed to split the check without error. I don’t remember her name, but she should consider seeking employment someone else where her competence would reap a higher paycheck. Atmosphere: If you do voluntarily choose to patronize this place, my advice would be to sit outside on the patio. The interior is dark, loud, and disorganized. My additional advice would be to avoid being seated in one of the alcoves with the prison bars — that is unless you want to protect yourself from the desperate cougars once the dance floor opens up. Yes you read correctly, folks — this Mexican joint has a dance floor. Cost: Reasonably priced. Appetizers are $ 8-$ 10, tacos are $ 8.49/two or $ 10.49/three, fajitas are $ 13(½ lb) to $ 24.00(full pound shrimp), and other entrees are $ 7-$ 10. Other: Twisted Taco is located in the Park Place Plaza, which is located across the street from Perimeter Mall. It’s located in the center of the plaza, behind Alon’s and next to Eclipse di Luna. Parking is free in the plaza lot, but spots can be difficult to find on weekends. The restaurant features reduced priced menu items throughout the week, including Fajita-Rita Monday($ 9 fajitas, $ 4 margaritas), Taco Tuesday($ 2 tacos), Wild Wednesday(½ priced queso), Twisted Thursday(½ priced nachos), Festive Friday(discount margaritas and well drinks), and Funday Sunday(kids eat free).

Seriously Meh. I am bummed to give this place 2 stars — I rarely give only 2 stars, but MEH is just so appropriate. I’m pretty open minded and easy going. especially when it comes to places that are just serving me alcohol and bar food to soak up that alcohol. But. Twisted Taco. meh. I was initially drawn to check them out by their«$ 2(select) domestic drafts». I saw an overwhelming amount of underwhelming reviews on Unilocal.but thought if nothing else I’m getting cheap beer. We spent around 4 hours on their patio working from our laptops. I asked the waitress what the $ 2 beers were that they were offering(that they posted on FB they do «every Monday») and she didn’t know, so she went to check. It was Miller Lite or Bud Lite, which is like that saying, «6 of one, half a dozen of the other.» I was bummed the dealio wasn’t a little more exciting but I was on a budget, and when you’re on a budget, you can’t be picky. So, I had a couple Miller Lites. We enjoyed regular queso with chips which were pretty good. Not amazing, but good enough to munch and finish. Later we ordered meals. I chose two tacos for 8.49. No wait, I added rice and beans which made it 8.99. Two tacos for $ 9. sigh. This is more expensive than El Taco downtown. and I soon found out, not half as tasty. I ordered the Cuban taco and the Carne Asada. The Cuban had another ton of rice and beans in it. If I realized that, I wouldn’t have added rice and beans on the side. It was good though. the meat was pretty juicy, and there were some plantains on the taco as well. Then the Carne. Took my first bite and got a mouth full of raw onion. Bummer. I love onion. but this was too much. I gave up on the taco approach immediately and used my fork to eat the rest of the meat. It was good without the onion explosion. but not very big anymore. I was disappointed with the tacos. Maybe if I finished with the Cuban, I would have ended on a better note, ha. I went inside to use the facilities twice, and noticed it was DEAD in there. Completely empty except for about 5 or 6 people at the bar. and another 5 or 6 employees. This is a kinda big place, too. I’m guessing it is probably more of a nighttime hangout? I’m so meh about this place that I’m leaving out like a ton of details. Please read Lindy F’s review for more information. As we were leaving, we walked past Eclipse di Luna and it was packed. I mean seriously night and day between the two crowds. Take notes? Look at this, I’ve turned into a whiny mess. In summary, I honestly would try this once more, considering it’s a bar, and I normally get vodka. It’s so close to where I live and they seem like they have some fun things going on. They also seem to have a really great presence on FB, but I left so underwhelmed. Maybe it’s just the 2pm-6pm hours that don’t look so good on ‘em? Meh.

So the reviews of this place aren’t stellar and after an afternoon here I understand why. I will say that their patio is super nice and on a clear warm day, I could stay here for hours on end despite the negatives. So the service is slow and really lacking. They have very few customers so I think they have learned to be complacent and nonchalant when it comes to serving the few customers they do have. I’m curious how they stay in business with as little traffic as I saw. But they do have a good selection of beers available. Their $ 2 beer Mondays are only good for Bud Light and Miller Lite — but if you are drinking on a budget, why not? As for the food, the chips are decent and the salsa is pretty good. The queso was yummy, but how can you mess up melted cheese? It comes in an iron skillet, so it stays melty longer. I ordered 2 tacos($ 8.49 for 2 with rice and beans). I got the Buffalo Bill(fried chicken tenders in buffalo sauce with lettuce, tomato and ranch) and the Cubano(pulled pork, fried plantains, black beans and yellow rice with cilantro). Both were pretty tasty. I would say that rice and beans on a taco seems weird but it was pretty good — just too much of each on the small taco. We stopped getting refills of water and stopped getting asked if we wanted more beer when the shift changed and our server changed, which is weird because server number two took our food order. The place just needs to get an overhaul — mostly on service and a little on food. The food isn’t bad, but I’m not going to come here because I’m craving any of these items. Odds are I would go next door to Eclipse or down the street to Tin Lizzys.

Came here on Fajita special night, steak fajitas for 7.95. Who can say no? I’ve had their tacos before, they have a good variety, and they’re decent. The fajitas was definitely a good deal. Had some leftover to take home! it’s about 8 bucks for most of the Margaritas too, had the AnnieOakley which I believe is pomegrante liquer. I liked it, and my friend had a taste and ordered one for herself. The service is just all right, friendly, but took a while to wrap our party up. Wasn’t too busy, and the waitress was apologetic. Over all a good experience.
