I was amazed… it was my 1st time here. I have seen the ads etc but never tried it. I came with my neighbor for lunch. She was so surprised at how beautiful the salad was. She said the lettuce was so fresh as well as the rest of the salad ingredients. She had the $ 6.99 combo and thought the little 6 inch pizza was perfect for her. I had the $ 8.99 pizza plus a salad, there was nothing left on either plates. Would I eat here again? What a stupid question but the answer is YES

When Drew asked me to meet him at Uncle Maddio’s, I paused because I am not the last-minute-kind of girl. However, out of guilt(I had only seen him once this year) and the fact that he had actually listened to me when I mentioned that I wanted to visit this restaurant, I went. Drew and I asked what was the most popular pizza and decided on it – the steak and blue pizza. This pizza has mozzarella cheese and blue cheese crumbles, tomatoes, garlic, spinach, angus steak, basil and balsamic glaze. The pizza was a beautiful piece of art. I like the fact that when you order, they start making it. You have a choice of white or wheat crust However, I don’t get this pizza. The blue cheese, basil and glaze did not work well and left an aftertaste. The service was good. The restaurant was clean. I may go back and just try a «create-your-own», maybe just pepperoni, mushrooms and onions. Maybe.

Worst customer service and overpriced mediocre pizza. Went here for lunch and ordered a build your own. Jesus our cashier knew we were visiting from out of town and did not warn us that a «build your own» pizza would charge us $ 0.76 for each sparse topping. Complained to the manager that we should have been warned about the per topping charge on a build your own pizza and he couldn’t even throw in a piece of Garlic bread or a soda? Worst service I have ever experienced, even from the guy who threw our overpriced pizza on the table.

Absolutely love this place, not only was the staff professional, friendly, quick but efficient the food was great! We went in with a group of 9 we were able to eat a good portion without breaking our pockets. We will definitely be back.

The service here is always great. I really like their fresh ingredients and every pizza I have tried has been great. My favorites are the BBQ Chicken and the Big Max.

Man, I love me some Maddio’s. When you just want a quick, no-hassle, inexpensive and fresh pizza, like on a weekday lunch, it simply is unrivaled. Sure, it may not be the BEST pizza in Atlanta, but that’s not always a requirement to satisfy the urge! I always get the whole wheat dough, if you haven’t tried it, trust me on this one and give it a shot! Pepperoni, sausage and goat cheese on the tomato sauce is a winner. I have been to several locations and they are all pretty consistent.

Ew. Worst pizza I’ve ever had. The sauce and the dough — the foundation of a good pizza — are terrible here. They do have a good assortment of toppings, but they shouldn’t limit how many you can put on. The salad was wilted and unflavorful. The staff was rude and unhelpful. Not worth your money, time, or calories.

We love Uncle Maddio’s– they have great healthy options, but also gluten free and vegetarian options that are delicious! This is our favorite location because the staff is wonderful– They are so personal and helpful.

Options. I love the ability of having options. For some people, it may be exhausting, cause anxiety, and maybe even result in choice overload. But for me, it brings me sweet happiness because I love the ability to pick and choose. The more, the merrier. And here at Maddio’s, I have a lot to choose from! I can’t say that I’ve been to a whole lot of pizza places, but I’m very familiar with delivery pizza and I don’t ever recall viewing any menu’s that compare to the choices you have here for the dough, sauce and toppings. When it comes to pizza’s, for whatever reason(still haven’t figured it out), I prefer to be a vegetarian. Maybe it’s because I feel like I can eat more of the pizza in one sitting because it’s less filling? I don’t know, but I must say that I’m very impressed with the selection of veggies. Celery? Cilantro? Garlic? Black bean corn salsa? I like it! Aside from the veggies, I really like the fact that you can either choose whole wheat dough, gluten free or traditional. I can’t say that I’ll choose the wheat crust all of the time, but I like the fact that it’s there if I feel like I need to incorporate more fiber into my diet for that day. So after saying all of this, you’d think that I went all out with the toppings, right? Nope, unfortunately I didn’t because when I walked in I was just far too hungry, so I ordered the simplest pizza ever: black olive cheese pizza. Lame, right? Lol Anyways, it didn’t take long for the pizza to be prepared and baked since I went with the smallest size available. Since it came to my table piping hot, I had to postpone my first bite. That’s cool, no complaints here, I just had to endure an extra few minutes of torture as my mouth watered at the sight and smell of the pizza. After a few minutes elapsed, I was able to take my first bite. First impressions: not bad, quite tasty. I like the fact that the crust wasn’t too thick or thin and had a nice crunch. The sauce was tangy, which I prefer, and the cheese was spot on. Also, the black olives were generously distributed and tasted fresh. Overall, good pizza, I look forward to returning so I can be a little more adventurous with the toppings!

My favorite spot for pizza! The dough/crust is the right amount, especially since I’m not a fan of thick dough pizza.

Second time at this location and something just seems a bit off. Food was tasty as usual, but it’s just the little things. Server finished sweeping and put gloves on to my make my pizza. I would have washedy hands before putting them on, but that’s me. I thought the server skimmed on the cheese(I could see most of the sauce). When I asked for more, he said it would be extra. Never had that experience. Cashier said my salad would be brought out. Never came. Pizza came first and I let the guy know I didn’t get it. They brought it. It was fresh, lettuce crisp, thankfully! Sweet tea was just tea, no sweet. Took 12 minutes for food, nobody was in front of me. I sat at the same table I did the first time. Still wobbly. Bathroom had super wet floors last time, semi wet this time. It just seemed like it was too much going on. Maybe it’s that this is a smaller location and everybody moving so fast. Not sure. I will probably try again but that’s my last attempt.

Just alright, pizza just not my fave, but not terrible. Ordered for a large group and picked up for work function. The veggie was alright, I didn’t try any of the other flavor a to gauge. Id say eating in might be better bc it’ll be fresher, some of the pies were a lil soggy.

I work nearby and have been here numerous times. Nine months ago I would have rated the place higher. However — went yesterday and had a bad experience. The pizza I ordered(a special) was missing two ingredients and the sausage was hard and dry. The place was gross — brown lemons, sticky floor, nasty bathrooms. I watched a guy with no gloves grab trash, walk behind the counter and start prepping food without washing his hands. Management had better step in and knock this place back into shape quick or it is doomed. Two stars because the food is still overall pretty good.

There are SO many restaurants literally next door this one had a lot of competition and its really, really average/below average. I got the lunch special I picked the gluten free option because I had heard a lot about this chain and gluten free pizza. THEPIZZAWASTHESIZEOFMYHAND… I am not joking it was not equal to even one normal slice of pizza. Then, it came with a ceaser salad — it did not even have any«real» Parmesan cheese on it and just looked so sad. For this price I could have gotten two slices of pizza at mellow mushroom or a full meal at Panera, Corner Bakery or Subway next door. It was also messy in there, almost every table was not bussed, we literally moved someones dirty things. Sorry :(this was not a good experience.

This was probably the worst pizza experience I’ve ever had.Sorry. I don’t enjoy giving bad reviews but man, this place deserves it. My fiancé and I were hungry late one(week) night and were in the Cobb Pkwy area so we pulled into a familiar complex where there are several eateries we enjoy. We originally wanted Chipotle but it was already closed. Our next choice was GRUB, the new burger joint right next to Chipotle, we’d had it before and loved it but their line was way too long and we were starving. So we spotted Maddios and I remembered how many times we’d passed this place wanting to give it and shot. There seemed to be hardly anyone in there(BADSIGN, but I thought, «who could mess up pizza?») so we went for it. My initial impression was positive, the setup and ambiance inside said: «cool pizza joint». I loved how it was set up like a chipotle where you choose your toppings and how much of each thing you want. So we joined the line of about three people and browsed the menu. Everything SOUNDED great but when we got to the front of the line my stomach churned, the food area was FILTHY. Now, a little mess is understandable, especially because of the way the pizza is made but this place was nasty. The counters were dirty, the floor was dirty and the sinks didn’t look like they had been wiped down in years. I tried to ignore this and chopped the filth up to the fact that only two people were working… one on the cash register and the other making the pizzas. I figure they didn’t have a chance to clean… but still, yuck! Then I noticed something else if that wasn’t bad enough… with each order the guy making the pizzas would leave his station to go get the dough, walk back into the kitchen and walk back out(about 200 feet) with the dough in his bare hands, no bowl, nothing. That may not have been so bad if the whole area surrounding him wasn’t already so dirty, but that combined with the filth was not a good sight to see. So I was already turned off but we were already there and hungry so I decided to proceed with my order anyway and hoped the taste of the pizza would at least be good. My favorite pizza is BBQ chicken so naturally that’s what I ordered and the guy rolled out my dough and then started adding the sauce —MARINARASAUCE. I had to stop him and politely say, «sir, I ordered a BBQ chicken pizza». He said, «oh yeah I know, this is how we make it». I just stood there in awe because I’d never seen someone make BBQ pizza with marinara sauce before in my life. Because, what then makes it BBQ? The little bit of chicken on top? Anyway, again my hunger dictated the situation and I was happy when it was time to pay for the food so we can sit down and dig in. We got to the cashier and I thought I’d seen dirt before but mannnnnnn. her screen where she rang up the orders was dusty like the sahara desert and all around her station was just full of gunk. EWWW. We quickly paid for our food which was very overpriced and waited for our pizza. Keep in mind, our cashier ran off to the back after ringing up our order so there was no one to tell us that at maddios you dont wait for your order, you sit down and the pizza is brought out to you, so there we are standing there like idiots. Finally we figured it out and sat down. Five mins later the food came out. I’d ordered a Caesar salad and it came first… but the server had to apologize because they were out of CAESARDRESSING!!! WHATTTT??? How in the heck can you be out of caesar dressing for the caesar salad. So he bought be french instead. So I put french dressing on my Caesar salad y’all. Anyway, the food came and it was EXTREMELY hot which was good and it looked pretty decent so we dug in. Well, just like I figured, my BBQ pizza with marinara was horrible. It tasted nothing like BBQ pizza and it actually didn’t taste good for any kind of pizza. My fiancé ordered some type of pizza with goat cheese which was nasty as well. I was so disappointed that we paid $ 30 for that horrible experience. NEVER, EVEREATHERE if you like good food, reasonable prices and a clean dining experience.

This is the second Uncle Maddio’s Pizza Joint I’ve tried, and I’m overall not very impressed with the chain. The ingredients are fresh and I like being able to create your own pizza, but there’s nothing stellar about the place that would draw me back in. On this last trip, I got the Maddio’s Pizza Meal: a 6-inch«baby» pizza with three toppings, a side salad, and drink for $ 8. It was the right amount of food for what I needed. I got a whole wheat crust for my pizza and made it Hawaiian with bacon, ham/Canadian bacon, and pineapple. However, I wish they would have put additional cheese on the top to adhere the toppings better. We took it to-go and most of the pineapple fell off when I took my «baby» pizza out of the box, and more fell when I tried to eat it. I’ll make sure I ask for it next time. The salad was just okay. I got the house with cucumber, some seasoned pita bread things that were pretty good, and tomatoes on lettuce. I passed on their dressing and used my own. Not much else to report on there. My boyfriend got a personal Spicy Italian and added some toppings to it. He seemed to enjoy it, and didn’t leave any for breakfast the next day. One good thing about Maddio’s pizza: you don’t feel gross and on the verge of a food coma when you finish eating it. Huge perk compared to the big chain delivery guys.

I have a class nearby to this location and have been numerous times. I come in usually around 5pm, so it’s always pretty empty. That being said — I find the service here faster and more efficient than at other Maddio’s locations. Not un-friendly by any means, but more efficient. And I’m comparing it to other locations I have frequented also at calm times of the day. I like their pizza, I love the variety of toppings, and the combo deals can’t be beat. A ‘personal’ pizza is 9 inches, but for the combo you get any 2 of the following: a 6 inch pizza plus, salad, soup, plus a fountain drink. It’s a liiittle bit more food than I should be eating at one sitting, but I ALWAYS finish the whole thing because it’s tasty. =) I recommend experimenting with toppings. One last thing, if you join their frequent customer club, you don’t get an annoying card that you will always forget! They just have you input your phone number. Every 10th visit — free entrée.

Strengths: Walking distance from Cobb Centre. Plenty of seating including a patio outside. Free refills. Pizza good. Opportunities: No silverware available. Several tables needed to be wiped down. They were not busy at the time. Summary: Decent pizza. If you are in the area, grab a bite. If not, search for someplace closer.

I like that this place is quick and efficient on the pizza and the staff was very nice and kind. I like walking into establishments that have staff that has a genuine smile on their faces. Now, the reason why I am giving it 3 stars is probably because in my mind I was envisioning a jerk chicken pizza that is similar to California Pizza Kitchens. I think I even had that taste in my mouth. Now, theirs does not taste like that… but it was overly salty. Like, I had to start picking the pizza apart because it was just too salty for me to eat as a whole. Next time I will try another type of pizza. But everyone is very nice and it is near my part-time job so I will try them again. #Yelp100
