US Post Office

They have TWO lanes open and there are at least 30 people in here. I have been waiting forever. It is the week before Christmas, you would think they would utilize all of their available cash registers to help during the busiest mailing season of the year. I would suggest nobody utilize this location until at least after the holidays. It’s ridiculous.

This post office is by far the worst one I’ve ever had to suffer through. They lost a package and I have the tracking number for it and everything. I’ve tried calling, literally, on the hour, every hour, for 4 days now. If I even get someone to answer my phone, they are extremely rude for NO reason. I’ve been nothing but polite and appreciative (the old adage of «you get more with sugar than vinegar») but I’ve only been treated terribly in response. Multiple times I’ve been hung up on, left on hold for over 30 minutes, left my name and # to be called back with no response, and just general maltreatment. It’s a terrible office filled with rude people for no reason. Avoid it at all costs and if you must go, have low expectations.

Very bad attitudes when you go in to get help. They are very short with their answers to questions and act like you are a bather.

This is the best Post Office I have been to hands down. Everyone is always polite and courteous. I have to single out Jarrod (hope I spelled that right), Darrell Ezzard (whom no longer works there), and Teresa for going above and beyond. They usually keep the line moving as quickly as possible and making recommendations to get you the best price while ensuring each item is delivered on time.

Horrible service. Not just long waits but attitude abundant. Employees should serve us with smiling faces and understanding composure.

The US post office is terrible when it comes to long ass lines and customer service. They always seem short handed. The only reason I go to this one is because their PO boxes are very inexpensive when compared to other places with the same service. Shipping will also be cheaper, but the price reflects the service.

Absolute worse experience. I’m normally patient and understanding however my experience is unacceptable. Two months ago I moved into a complex and apparently the person who lived here prior to me decided to take the mail box keys. I had to request a replacement key from the postal service and I paid the $ 28 fee. I was told give it a week (it normally takes 2 – 3 days but since Columbus Day was so close it might take a little longer). Going on two months later I still don’t have a key! I’ve called numerous times. Arthur seems like a nice guy but is a liar… often promising the key would be ready the next day and when that day came still no key. Renae is rude and nasty and doesn’t care at all… thats what she told me. I also asked for them to start holding my mail since I don’t have access to my box. That also hasn’t happened yet. Luckily I ran into the delivery driver one day and he was nice enough to give me almost a months worth a mail that was sitting there. Most junk but some important stuff like 2 checks and 2 vehicle registrations and a new drivers license. It’s just a huge inconvenience and I think I’m more bothered by everyone involved lack of professionalism and care/​customer service. Also consumer affairs is no help either. If the locksmith is behind hire another!!! I’m not sure what else to do at this point I wish we as consumers didn’t have to depend on the postal service but I guess why that’s why they don’t care because we’re at their mercy

There’s no one to pick up the phone on a Monday. Have been trying for over one hr to ask about my mails taht seem not to be forwarded to my new address. I even called the general line of USPS to get the number of this branch to make sure it’s the right one.

My husband was expecting an item that was shipped via Priority 2-​day mail, complete with insurance and a tracking number. Not once did someone come by, no one knocked, and nothing, not even a note was left in the mailbox to signal that someone had been there. The tracking said that delivery had been attempted but was returned to the post office. No one ever tried to deliver the package. I know this because I was at home all day.
The tracking on the website said that it was available for pickup at «Atlanta, GA, post office.» Not exactly helpful, am I right? After I finally figured out that it would have to be this location, I called them to ask about the whereabouts of the envelope. The woman I spoke with on the phone was completely useless so I went in instead to see if I would have better luck face to face.
Nope, still totally useless. The man with whom I first spoke with would not take the tracking number and instead only wanted the address. I gave it to him, he didn’t write it down, and went in the back for ten minutes. When he returned, he said he forgot the address. Shocking. I scribbled it on a piece of paper and he disappeared again. On his arrival he said that he couldn’t find it and passed me off to his coworker.
The coworker was sitting at the desk eating her lunch. I stood and waited for what felt like forever while she just ate and stared at me. She overheard the exchange I had with the man next to her and knew what I was trying to do. She too went in the back to «look» and came back empty handed. Her suggestion was for ME to call the substitute mail carrier that was working on the day that it was to have been delivered. Why is this my responsibility? And why would this man remember a single piece of mail from a week earlier? If the tracking number indicates that it’s at this post office, why would the mail carrier have the package?
Days pass, over ten more phone calls go through. Many more employees hear our problem, take our number, and say they will call back within an hour. No one has ever called back. They all seem to have given up without trying to remedy the situation in any proper manner.
This is the absolute worst post office I have ever had to visit and I have never seen so many incompetent people working under the same roof.

These people are keeping up with the service and the landscaping outside!!! Good job!

The employees here are great! During the holiday rush, I witnessed an employee voluntarily worked through lunch to help customers! This is what good service looks like.

This is a very nice USPS Office. The brick building looks brand new, take a look ag the photo. There were NO lines at 2pm & the service was great.
Hidden a bit behind the Home Depot shopping center-​entering from Piedmont is definitely the way to go.

This is not the easiest post office to find, I’ll tell you that.
I needed to mail a card since it was going overseas, so I decided to stop by the post office on my way home from work. After deciding this was the closest with little help from the USPS website, I made my way in that direction, and proceeded to drive around the Lindbergh Road vicinity for a good bit of time before finally finding Morosgo Dr and finally the post office.
It was off the little side street, very run down looking and not at all well marked from the street. The parking lot didn’t look very full, but true to form, as soon as I entered, there was a group of close to 10 – 15 people in line to mail packages, buy stamps and generally waste my time. Super…
The saving grace of the situation was a machine I spied in the corner proclaiming I could buy postage (even for international mail) there and avoid the line. I walked over tentatively, ready to be disappointed by yet another failing of the USPS system, but to my surprise and delight, I was able to buy the stamp I needed. I popped the letter in the box next to it after double checking my letter would reach its intended destination, and left without a word.
While it was probably one of the least painful post office encounters I’ve had to endure, if I had had to stand in line for any amount of time, this score would have been much lower. I’m continually amazed that even during what you might consider «peak» post office times (lunchtime, after work, etc.) there is still only 1 or if you’re lucky 2 postal workers manning the 4+ stations available.
Why USPS? Why must you make us stand in line and thus hate you even more than we already do for all the junk mail, credit card offers, and bills you bring us?

I go here and stand the lines for one reason.
They have a guy that works at the counter, that just makes me smile inside and out. Im serious.
Once I told one of the other workers that the guy made me feel that way, and he told me from now on, just wait for him to help you. He said it in a way that made me think, he’s heard this before.
Yes, there is normally a line. Yes there is normally one or two clerks working with a line of ten people about to stretch out the door.
Yes, its a pain in the rear sometimes, but in this day and time, I’ll take my smiles wherever I can get them.

So… after my issues at the Glenridge office, where did I end up?
Answer: not this post office first… I went to the one on Pharr Road since it was my favorite, but their electronic payments system had killed itself and I didn’t have any cash on me. So I sucked it up and headed all the way back here, hoping maybe I could just use the automated machine.
…NOBODY was in line somehow, so I walked right up to the counter and was greeted by the nicest postal service employee I’ve ever encountered.
At this point I was seriously suffering from post office burnout, so she asked me how I was and figured I looked exhausted. I’m at my third post office of the day, so yes, that would work. She listened to me tell my horror stories of the day and said to be sure to come back to this one anytime because they are nice.
I mean I was feeling bad when we were still talking despite finishing all transactions and there was someone waiting. But she was so nice, I couldn’t believe this was someone employed at the same office where I had employees snap at me at least twice for trying to find what the hell happened to a package.
It’s not exactly convenient, but considering the rest of my day, if I have anything I HAVE to mail at a counter, I will make the drive back here. I don’t even care.

One person was working. Line of about 20 people. Nuff said.
Took me about 45 minutes to send a package. Usually I would use the automated postage center, but I had to pay for other stuff I bought there.
Come on people, get it together!
