Its one of the few places i can get a taste on a Tuesday or Wednesday night in the area. The service(Frank the bar man) is attentive and friendly, and they have a great assortment of draft beers. Tabs add up pretty quick, but it’s Buckhead so I suppose that’s to be expected. Again, I like that no matter what night of the week, I can basically expect this place to be open until 2. I come here monthly.

Whitehall Tavern is located a very short drive from where we live in Buckhead. My roommate and I have been looking for a reliable neighborhood spot to stop in for a quick dinner, grab a beer, etc. I have had the chili which was good and served with a dollop of really cold sour cream — yum! We also love their chicken tenders! Unlike most places, this place actually gives you moist«fresh» chicken breast tenders and they are much better than the microwaved variety that you find at most other establishments. Truth be told– I can’t vouch for how they make their chicken tenders but they are delish! This place isn’t first date worthy but it is perfect for anyone wanting a casual spot to meet a couple friends or stop in for a cold beer after a long week.

I realize this is generic bar food… but seriously, they can do so much better. I had the buffalo shrimp which was just grossly oversalted. Even their water had a slight nasty taste to it(probably be smart if they filtered it). My friends had the cheese sticks, the pita bread and dip, and all sorts of tortilla appetizer dishes. All terrible, lacking flavor(other than crazy amounts of salt), freshness, and etc. The place is generally clean and the TVs are plentiful(probably the only saving Grace of this place). The service is however rather slow and really uninspiring. Basically don’t book an event here or take a girl either unless you are really really desperate for good tv coverage.

I really don’t like leaving negative reviews based solely on service, but my last experience here really wasn’t that pleasant. I came for a college basketball watch party event. I’m not sure if they just didn’t expect so many people to show up or what, but there were only a couple people waiting on the entire backroom. The staff was clearly stressed, but they weren’t the most friendly either. From a food perspective, I just had scotch eggs so I can’t really comment too much but they were just ok. There are a lot of watch parties here so I probably will be back but hopefully the next time is better.

White hall has been one of our recent game day favorites due to it being a Clemson bar. Today we had a different experience. Although the bar was filled with 90% Clemson fans they were only Showing the game on minimal Tvs and had the audio only on on side. After counting the six fans on the bar side versus the majority Clemson fans, we asked if the audio could be switched. Let’s also note that the other game they were broadcasting was a 20 – 3 boring matchup. When we spoke with partial Owner«Brett» and questioned the possibility of switching the audio broadcast, due to the 90% Clemson fans he responded«you could say the same about your game being boring. I pointed out how there were less than a handful of fans for the audio game vs the 20+ Clemson fans and he responded«I’m sorry you wasted your time counting.» And walked away. After that I requested my check and he responded«yes you may that’s perfect.» I will not be returning and hope that his other owners realize he is not customer focused and is extremely rude. I will find a better place to spend my money. As an owner, you need to realize without customers(and our table had 15 people), you have no business. Even if the answer is no, be polite. I was not rude or pushy in my request. A simple, «I’m really sorry but we have the Clemson game on over there so I really need to have this game on over here» would have been perfectly fine.

Spent a couple of hours at Whitehall Tavern on Saturday evening. Sat at the bar. Staff was friendly. They have a lot of big tv’s throughout, so this is a great place to watch a game. They have a great beer and wine selection. And the menu is definitely a step up from regular bar food. I ordered the chili dog and fries. Both were good and really inexpensive. Outside there are also televisions and I noted people sitting with their kids. And I even saw a dog. This is great because I am always looking for a place where I can grab a decent glass of wine while my kid and I eat dinner. I’ll definitely be back.

I was visiting from NC and went in to watch the Panthers game. It is a Bill’s bar and all tvs were on the Bills or Atlanta. Was very crowded but the staff went out of their way to find me a seat and a tv with my game on. Had to sit at a table with others and the people were all very nice and friendly. Thanks for making me feel welcome!

I am loving the wheat beer and the buffalo chicken dip that you normally only have once a year at that super bowl party. Now you can have it every day of the year(don’t take off the menu please!) I am not loving the kids running around, but i guess it’s a restaurant /bar . Maybe if we keep drinking we will tune them out…

I don’t comment on wings often but being from Buffalo Sheba wing impresses me I must speak up. Meaty, seasoned and cooked well done(without me requesting it.) Great bar, great service. I’ll be back!

I love this place! The food is great and the bartenders make awesome cocktails! It’s where I go for any sports event. I like that I can bring my dog and sit on the patio. Go check it out I promise you will love this place!!!

Not coming back. Service was the worst. The place was not even busy and we waited for 15 min to be noticed and get drinks. Then another 10 min to get only the beer and not the water we had ordered. That alone and imagine the rest. Our server was john=raf. Bad experience.

Great for lunch specials. Not to mention, funniest and most entertaining bartender behind the bar during day shift, Katie.

Came here to watch game two of the NBA playoffs because they advertised themselves as a sports bar. When the home team is in the playoffs you would expect a sports bar to play the game uninterrupted. But they interrupted the game every three minutes for TEAMTRIVIA. Will not recommend this place for sports.

One of my favorite neighborhood bars… I used to live right across the street which was very convenient, but still frequent here when I want to catch a game. They have tons of TVs, both inside and out on the patio. The food is decent, pretty standard menu and prices are average for a sports bar. There is a good sized beer list, and the beers on tap change pretty frequently. They have trivia on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, I believe. Usually a young twenties crowd on the weeknights. I went on a Friday night around 8 and there were quite a few families and children running around. Good service and have yet to have a bad experience.

I was hoping for a Friday night at the bar, instead what I got was a Friday night at Chuck-e-cheese. I had been to this tavern a couple of times before. It seemed like a good happy hour spot with the large group of area adult kickball teams that often frequent the place before and after games. I looked up the specials online before hand, then told an old coworker and friend to meet me there! We grabbed a high top right next to the bar. There are about 10 of these by the bar when you first walk in, then a small wall and stairs going up that lead to the rest of the restaurant. We ordered our $ 3.50 happy hour special Red Hare beers and the half off appetizer of the trio dip(queso, salsa, guacamole). As we sipped our beers and caught up we noticed more and more children and families filling up the high tops around us. At one point a large high top of 8 that was even closer to the bar than we were was filled with 14 – 16 year olds.(Yes we asked them because we found this so shocking). Isn’t it an unwritten rule that the bar area is for 21+??? But this takes the cake…2 little girls(NO clue where there parents were) started walking table to table selling boxes of candy you can buy at the dollar store for«a good cause.» SOLICITATION by little girls AT A BAR!!! Another huge downfall was the exposed AC pipes in the ceiling dripping all around us. At one point water dripped into my friends drinking water and she had to order a new one. On to the food… From 5 – 7 select appetizers are half off. We started with the trio dips. The queso and salsa were very good with the stale chips we were served, however the guacamole was spicy and watery; we hardly ate any of it. We then order a steak quesadilla which was very greasy and the BBQ chicken nachos that were swimming in BBQ sauce with hardly any chicken on them. The ONLY good thing I have to say about this place is that the price of shots were low. I can’t comment on the price of anything else because it was all discounted for happy hour. Needless to say, I probably won’t be back.

Pros: Great place to watch football, nice beer selection, good bar food Cons: The table service is consistently whack. I get it, it’s a bar… but the service was so bad the last time we went that I probably won’t return for a while.

I never thought of trying this place until a friend suggested it. So we stopped in and we ordered a couple of burgers to go and enjoyed all the liveliness going on — a real neighborhood place. Great for watching sports. The wine list is not the greatest — but I really don’t expect it at a tavern… we will be back to try more items and enjoy the patio. The burgers were very good — not greasy — just a really good grilled taste — fries were also good!

(a slightly longer version of this review also posted to my food blog) This was my first time at the Whitehall Tavern(I had visited the earlier Cheyenne Grill located at the same spot) — a pub located on the back-side of the Peachtree Battle shopping center on 2391 Peachtree Rd NW. We decided ahead of time to only get drinks at this stop(location five of our Eat the Peachtree 2014 crawl) — you access by going down the stairs on the Northern corner of the shopping center, to the open-patio in the«elbow» of the line of buildings. As with the Cheyenne, Whitehall is a sports bar that features several flat panel TVs, an awesome draft beer selection and mucho bottled craft beers to sample. This places is much more intimate and pub-like than the mega beer venues like Taco Mac, and from the opinions of several in our party the food is quite good too. The ambience is very sports bar, or for a little peace you can exit to the patio. There are several video games and the usual bar-type attractions — I really liked the overall look of this place — it’s like going to Manuals in L5P or the Darkhorse. Looking over the list of drafts, I selected an IPA from Goose Island — it was smooth as silk with the appropriate bitter hops and quite refreshing. Most of my companions selected IPAs or citrusy, lighter fare, but I was still feeling the pitchers from the previous location so I opted for something a bit lighter. I’ll be returning soon to try out the appetizers and to enjoy the great beers. It was interesting that there were quite a few kids in there getting lunch with their families — you don’t typically see that in a bar and it really contributed to the pub-feel.

This establishment has changed names multiple times and I’ve been coming here for years. It is the best it has ever been by far! The Happy Hour is between 5−7pm Monday through Friday which includes specific types of beer for $ 3.50 and ½ off appetizers with a few exceptions. You can’t beat that! I had the Chicken Quesadilla and it was better than I expected! The sautéed peppers and onions in the quesadilla were really good and it came with a side of salsa, guacamole, and sour cream. Good stuff! We originally came here for a committee meeting since they have longer tables. The server was excellent! He even refilled our drinks before we asked(that’s impressive). They have a beautiful patio area to eat and relax outdoors. The TVs are everywhere inside the restaurant no matter where you are sitting. They also have trivia on Wednesday and Thursday nights, I believe. This is definitely a great place to grab some drinks(huge beer menu) and watch a game! I’d recommend it!

My love for WT just keeps getting better. As I’ve gotten to know more of the staff(hi, Frank and Leah and Adrienne!) and as they keep serving delicious(and in some cases new) dishes with great service. This update is to let you all know of a few things. In no particular order… The tilapia in any dish will now be grouper. No longer will there be mozzarella sticks as they decided not to buy them(note: one of the few items not made in-house) and not to alternately make them in-house. Note: if you get the combo app, which used to be mozz sticks, wings(your choice of flavor) and chicken fingers, now you can choose an extra finger or two wings. The club sandwich, which I hadn’t tried til recently, is delicious and definitely splittable! They are adding/featuring more«specials” — a grouper dish, etc. Justin told me about a few more menu changes(the new menus haven’t been printed but most of the changes are in effect) — so ask your server! Also, how I missed this I do not know, but during happy hour, about half their apps, including the tasty quesadilla and delicious hummus, are half-price. That’s what we had last night and thoroughly enjoyed. If you don’t like«loud,» you may not want to go on Tuesday trivia night. All in all, everyone who works there is great and Dallas and Brett are doing a super job running the show and continuing to make the place a go-to spot in the neighborhood.
