Atlantic Beach Cafe Bagel & Deli

I really did not want to cook tonight so I went to an online delivery service and I see this great menu from Atlantic Beach Café. I can not wait to order again and visit the restaurant. First of all the food arrived 20 minutes earlier than posted on the web site. Second, the food was hot and delicious. Finally, I offered a tip at the door and the delivery guy would not accept a tip. Great place!

Ordered from GrubHub and had no problems at all.

I purchased the vegetable omelet and the seasoned fries. The fries tasted amazing and the omelet was great as well.

As you can see from my profile, I love chicken salad. This place has Damn good chicken salad, and when I worked in Atlantic beach I stopped here all the time for chicken salad on a bagel. It’s made from chicken breast and doesn’t have too much mayo in it, or grapes or walnuts or other useless crap. A little pricey, and the staff aren’t exactly warm and fuzzy, but try the chicken salad. It’s worth it.

I was surprised how packed this place was and now I know why, their food is really good. They seem to be «The» Deli to go to for Sat/​Sun breakfast sandwiches and quick snacks/​sandwiches for your beach outing. They are literally blocks from the boardwalk in Atlantic Beach.
The staff at the store are very friendly and will be most helpful in designing your sandwich or you can pick from the variety listed on their board.
They also offer a small seating area, lots of snack and drink varieties.

This place is great! I have ordered a few times online and their delivery is so fast! The food is… gluttonous! But, sometimes you need that after a long day hanging on the beach. I had to leave a review today because I called them long after I placed my order to see if I could add on a soda & they threw it in on the house! I couldn’t believe how nice they were about it!!!

Placed order for delivery at 12:45 food came at 3:00 and was horrible. Food was cold had some hair in it wouldn’t feed it to my dog.

for what they charge you would think you would get a decent bagel. Have gone here only for convenience a few times (as its so close to the beach) and always get skimped on the cream cheese in my stale bagel. service is slow ect. Its location Is the only reason I can imagine people spend money here

The best place to grab a giant hero when you’re heading down to Long Beach to catch some waves. They use that amazing bread that has a perfect flaky crust outside and chewy softness inside, dusted with a light sprinkling of flour.
It does take them a bit to make the sandwich. (Perfection takes time.) So you’ll have to wait.

You can now text your order ahead of time and it’ll be ready for pickup. Then you don’t have to miss any rays. Perfect complement to the beach!

Few things about this place. Too many chiefs and not enough Indians. You order from a guy who then relays your order to another etc. like playing telephone with your sandwich order.
BLT for 7 $!! Bottle of water 3 $!! It is pricey and they often do mess up on orders. The pizza slices are old, better off ordering a fresh pie. You can eat inside which is nice but all in all better off elsewhere.

Really good local sandwich shop/​deli/​Lotto/​everything you could need stop, in a community that could sorely use it.
All of their subs are great, although I’d recommend you try some of the hot/​toasted ones. Go with whatever has the most meat/​cheese/​dressing on top. You know you want to!
Notable extras here include fresh delivery from some exceptional bakery that yields great Italian bread (semolina and the extraordinary bread baked with cheese and chunks of ham inside). The bagels here are good, and while not as good as Beach Bagel in Long Beach’s West End, they at least don’t have a line of drunk/​hung over people out the door.
I’ve no complaints about the service. Always friendly, and to give one example: one night I wanted to make pasta with ricotta sauce, but found that I was out of ricotta (and was really too lazy to drive over the bridge to a proper supermarket). The staff were glad to measure out a small salad cup of it, and while it was a bit expensive, it totally made my night and dinner.

Solid food, ignore the 1 star service review

I stop here all the time, mostly in the morning for coffee. I also stop at lunchtime if I’m in the area. They recently renovated the place, and it looks great. But now the service sucks. I stopped in today, for a cup of coffee and a toasted bialy. It took almost 10 minutes to get out of there! They need to work on how they service the customers. People were ordering hot plates of food and then jumping in front of other people who were only waiting to pay. The fact that the staff allowed it was a little bit rude. The coffee is good, never old or burnt. Most of the time the food is good; I’ve gotten stale hero bread once or twice. I hope that today was just a bad day for them, I really am usually happy with these guys. Work on getting the customer in and out, and stop letting the «friends» of the staff cut in front of everyone else! It makes you look bad!
