I was here on 2⁄13 for the R. Kelly show. It was an «ok» experience… up until my boyfriend and i were threatened by the people in the seats behind us. They wanted us to sit down, and i refused, because it’s a concert! I paid money to enjoy myself, and not to sit like a bump on a log. Anyways, the people behind me threatened me and my boyfriend, which then led me to leave my seats and find security. ITTOOK5MINUTESFORMETOEVENFINDANYONETOLOOKFORSECURITY. When i finally found a security guard it then tool ANOTHER5 –10MINUTESTOCOMETO A RESOLUTION. There should be no reason that it took 15 – 20 minutes to get help in an emergency situation. However i will say, the security guard that helped us out, his name was John, and we ended up getting new seats. Bad part is, we were only in the new seats for 5 minutes before the show was over. If this is how security is ran at an EVENTSCENTER, such as this one, then i will never be returning. We traveled from PA, to only see not even half a performance, and to be threatened.

Cool, cool venue. There are so many reviews with so many details that I will keep mine short, sweet and simple. We saw R. Kelly here, and it was awesome! Not only is Mr. Kelly a spectacular performer, but the venue wasn’t so bad itself. Great sound, great view from any seat, clean bathrooms, and a helpful staff makes the Boardwalk Hall even better. My only complaint it getting a taxi to drop you close to the entrance. It was 13 degrees, and our taxi put us out a few blocks away. Leaving the venue — we had no trouble getting taxi back to the hotel. Neat-Oh and historic place!

Really enjoyed the 3d lightshow that runs every night. Partly because I didn’t have much to do since I dont gamble or drink. I read that Atlantic City is the Vegas if the East coast. Probably true in its hey day. Anyway it was a nice entertainment.

I have seen multiple shows at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City and have never had a bad experience. Easy to navigate around the building, great sound for a concert, plenty of consessions for drinks or food and bathrooms are good. Very convenient to get to if staying at a casino on the Boardwalk. Jitney Shuttles, cabs and car services always outside the building after the shows. Great place to see an event.

Amazing place to watch a hockey game! One of my all time favorite hockey venues. Also been to the Rodeo and multiple concerts. Always a blast!

I feel like sometimes when you watching shows on television they feel like they go on forever, I did have a great time here, and I never realized how quick the shows are. It was literally, about an thirty minutes overall. I came here for the 2014 Miss America Pageant which I so called out the winner before she was even announced. –man, I am so good! I parked my car across the street from the actual venue where the actual truck to flash the lights on boardwalk hall. $ 10 for the night. Sounds good to me, and I don’t have to walk far, or wait in a stuffy garage for my car. The venue was great, I got to wait in the area where the friends and family of the contestants sit. There is tables with place cards of states on them. It was so cute. We didn’t get the most luxurious seats, which is okay by me. I’d rather not sit in the very first few rows anyway. I really don’t want camera-man ass rubbing all against my arm. It’s gross. The show, staff, and overall experience was awesome. What killed it for me? The woman who was the host.(Which has nothing to do with the venue,) the long walk all around, what felt like the entire building, to the final waiting area. Especially if you’re wearing six inch heels. :/

I came to see a Marc Anthony concert here and had a spectacular time! My hubby got us tickets in the upper section, but we were in the first row(I think Section 210, smack in the middle), and right off the bat I was impressed. Having been to other larger arenas in NY and NJ where the highest section basically means you are there to listen and not see, this was a really nice change. The venue has great stands for hard liquor, beer and even food, so no worries in filling up before coming here. We had to EXTREME good fortune to be chosen from the crowd to get upgraded onto floor seats and that was of course even better! Although it also gave me good perspective and floor seats are not as awesome, due to the lack of stadium seating, so if you get stuck in the middle of a row, you are pretty much screwed, unless you are in the first 5 rows. But if you are in the back rows, you should just save some money and get a section above. Overall, great sound and fabulous time at the Marc Anthony concert, so can’t wait to go back, hopefully in the summer so I can enjoy the boardwalk too.

Concert: Charlie Wilson Valentine’s Day 2015 Sound system– not great. Hard to understand words. Screens should be double the size to help us nosebleeders see better. Still was a great concert though! Not a bad walk from Ballys(parking) on a winter night!!!

Today was my first time ever at Broadwalk Hall. The reason for my visit was for a cheerleading competition. The place is very nice and very wall put together. The bathroom were cleaned which is always a plus at a public place. Although little cheerleaders were running all around. Staff kept the traffic inside the building move great, even with the big crowd. The building is pretty big, but it has a more intimate type of feeling. No matter where you are seated you will have a great view. This will be my new place of choice to attend any sort of entertainment events.

Not a bad place to see a concert. The acoustics are decent, the location is amazing, and the view from the smoking lounge is peerless. I was smoking marijuana btw, legal in NJ for medical purposes, and enjoying the seaside view… fabulous. Beer too pricy.

It was like time travel for me last weekend seeing Fleetwood Mac at Boardwalk Hall as the last time I had seen a concert at Boardwalk Hall it was for… wait for it… come on now… Fleetwood Mac seventeen plus years prior. For various reasons I don’t remember a lot about that show nor did I remember much about BWH as a venue so in the immortal paraphrased words of John Lennon, it was like starting over. A few points then I’m out: * This place was not built primarily as a sports venue as another Unilocaler or two seems to ignorantly think. No, it was built to be a multi-purpose convention center first and foremost which is why it was formerly called the Atlantic City Convention Hall. * $ 10 for a beer is nuts and even if you were stupid enough to pay that grossly inflated price the lines were huge unless you were willing to trek all the way to one of the corners by sections 101 or 125 where there were no lines of any type. * The sightlines as many have mentioned are the one thing going for this place for a concert as just about no matter where you sit there is nothing to obstruct you’re view of the stage. * Acoustically this place fell somewhat in the middle. Clearly there is an echo present depending on where you sit and(not necessarily the fault of the venue but more the guy mixing the band’s sound) there was way too much bottom from the bass and kick drum which only got louder as the show went on versus the vocals being muddy most of the night. * Two older MILFS(probably mid-late 50’s) got into a fight three rows behind us which caused us to miss nearly two songs as there was zero security presence for a good ten minutes to break them up and our section’s usher wasn’t doing anything as she was older(maybe 70) than they were. * After the show on the way out it seemed rather forced and cheesy that several groups of employees from janitors with carts all the way up to guys in suits with walkies & ear pieces all stood by and thanked people leaving for coming to Atlantic City and for coming to BWH. Overall BWH has easy access to The Boardwalk after the show to trek to where ever you parked your car at whatever casino is still open, decent tickets here are tough but not impossible as the venue is still an industry leader for concert ticket gross for its size(14K if they utilize all seating sections) and in what is left of A.C. this is the only venue that has ever existed or will ever exist that is capable of bringing in larger shows so you might as well love the one your with because like it or not it’s not getting any better.

Good place to see a concert. The sound is great and it is small enough that every seat is pretty good. I would definitely go back for another show.

A group of us went to Boardwalk Hall last night to see Katt Williams… The Boardwalk Hall is easy to find… The event staff was very pleasant, especially the woman stationed at the top of the escalator. My experience was not so pleasant where we were seated. We were seated in the floor section… We had the pleasure of sitting in front of a group of ladies… That not only showed up an hour and a half after show started… But, they talked and commented during the entire show! Ugh! And then someone decided they needed to have a cigarette indoors… And then we started to smell marijuana smoke… Unbelievable! The Boardwalk Hall needs to have a cut off time… Put an end to all these late arrivals that have seats in the middle of the row… Inconveniencing all of the patrons that showed up on time… If a show starts at 8PM… There is no reason why people are being shown to their seats at 10PM with their tickets out! Total disrespect and distraction to both the people that paid to see a show and the performers! And they also need to work on the sound system… Katt Williams was low during some parts of his set…

Went to see Katt Williams at the Boardwalk Hall last night. It was my first time in this venue. First off it was not difficult to find and we entered easily from the boardwalk. We were quickly admitted despite the long lines. There were plenty of ushers to help us find our seats and beer was affordable. But the main entrance stinks. Literally it smells like a Porta-John or as my boyfriend described it «a rest stop urinal patty». It was gross and unpleasant. We had seats on the floor(which are just folding chairs) and I could see the stage fine even though I’m very short. My problem with the seating was the chairs were placed so close together. I had a very large man seated next to me. He took up his own chair and half of mine. I paid over $ 300 for two tickets and didn’t even have a full seat to sit on. It was irritating and uncomfortable. But there wasn’t much I could say without being very rude. I don’t know that I’d come to this particular venue again. Although my negative experience had little to do with the venue itself. Katt Williams was great though!

I went to the Usher concert over the weekend. It was great! We had a good time. We liked August Alsina as well. The only problem I had was with the Event Staff. We was sitting in our chairs when the show was over waiting for the crowd to go down. The event staff guy told us we had to move. So we went to the ladies room & the event women staff told us we had a time limit. I mean would if I had to do a #2 or change my pad… really…come on$!#//\&*% If I paid my money for a show I should be able to stay as long as I want.

Boardwalk Hall is a really cool and historic venue. For as many times as I’ve seen a show in Borgata, I’ve never seen a concert at Boardwalk Hall. And while my concert list there is still at zero, I’m determined to change that. My main reason to visit was to see the Philadelphia Flyers’ open practice. I was probably a little more excited to explore than to actually see the practice itself. The venue looked old but in a classic sense, versus a crusty old sense. The architecture had a classic feel and I really enjoyed my time taking in the space. The venue had arena style seats, plus a center floor which I could only assume has seats or is for standing room during shows. There is a built-in stage at the end of the one side. The practice was not overly crowded, so I’m not sure how their staff deals with crowded scenarios, but everyone I encountered seemed pleasant. I’d also be curious about the acoustics. This place just gets points in my book for its historic value and overall cool factor. Boardwalk Hall gets some pretty major acts so I need to get my act together and check it out.

What I absolutely love about Boardwalk Hall is that it’s big enough to feel like you’re at a concert, but small enough to feel like an intimate performance — a completely different vibe from MSG. I came here for Enrique Iglesias and Pitbull, and couldn’t have been more satisfied. I could do without the«3D Light Show» though. But all in all, great venue! I would definitely come back!

Watching the laser light show they do as an attraction. The show covers the entire back of the building which is really amazing. They also showed an out door movie today of Annie.

I’ve been to 2 concerts here, and to be honest it is my preferred choice venue. I come from north jersey as I really like the closeness/viewing of the stage regardless of where you sit. It’s a small venue which makes it feel more personable. Highly Recommended!

We attended the Marc Anthony concert at this wonderful venue. It’s directly on the boardwalk, staff was friendly and extremely close to Tropicana and other late night dance spots!
