When I stay at Harrah’s I always dine at Dos Cominos. I usually try to just do happy hour before the after dark pool party. This time I made reservations for a booth with a view. All I can say was we had the best seat in the house. The sun was setting at our table which was a cozy little nook in the corner. Our waitress very friendly gave a few suggestions from the menu. I ordered my usual tuna tostada, lobster tostado and Tuna *chino latino*. I found the tuna and lobster tostado to be with out flavor even the guacamole was off. My best dish was the tuna * chino latino* but the portion on that extremely small. My fiancé ordered the skirt steak which his favorite was the tomato chipotle salsito.

I always have a great time at Dos Caminos. I usually go to the restaurants in NYC for dinner and drinks, but I was staying at Harrah’s resort and wanted to try this location. The décor has a dark, intimate vibe, and exclusively at this location, it overlooks the water in AC, which was very nice. The menu is pretty similar, maybe with a few changes. The margaritas are always a go-to. At this location I tried the skirt steak asada and the bocadito trio as an appetizer. The food was delicious and the price was reasonable.

I would have given this place 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that it took our server 25 minutes to bring us a drink menu and 10 minutes to get a glass of water. Thankfully there is a great female manager that fixed the problem & squared us away The food here is excellent along with a great view. If you’re looking for good Mexican in Atlantic City This is a must

This was my favorite restaurant at Harrah’s. You should definitely go on Wednesday for their $ 5 appetizer and drink happy hour specials. We shared 3 apps between the 2 of us and it was enough for a light dinner(portions aren’t that big) but it was DELICIOUS. We got 2 different kinds of taquitos and an enchilada, as well as 2 prickly pear and strawberry frozen margaritas which were excellent.

Typical casino restaurant fare. The cuisine here appears to be hit or miss and the general deliciousness of your meal will be determined based on your meal selection. The breakdown: Dine here either on Wednesday or Friday for their happy hour menu, which is offered from 5pm till close. The menu offers small plates which include wings, quesadillas, tacos and more. Each item runs between $ 5 – 9. There are also half priced drinks available. Happy hour seating is limited to the section near the bar. There is a waitress assigned to those tables, so patrons also receive full service in the bar area. If you’ve decided to dine here, I recommend to consider coming here during the happy hour and skipping dinner altogether. Service: We arrived to the restaurant without reservations and were greeted at the door by two hostesses. We waited for about five minutes before being shown to our table. Our server was pleasant but made no mention of the happy hour specials and did not provide us with the menu until after our inquiry. Instead, she pushed us several times over to order guac, the prix fix menu and or entrees. She pushed the guacamole, so much that I had to wonder if she received some sort of commission off of her guac sales. We ended up having a full conversation about why I did not want to try the guacamole. It got weird. After placing our order we saw the waitress less. Our water glasses went unfilled. Food: The food was hit or miss. I hard the veggie tacos, which were not great. Three tacos were served plain, no salsa or sour cream. Not very appetizing. My husband had three of the happy hour specials and liked his good way better than my regular entrée. He order wings, fried jalapeños and surf ‘n turf quesadillas. We ordered two drinks, the margarita and prickly pear margarita. The drinks were strong, tasty and only $ 5.00. Well worth the money. Long story short, just get the happy hour specials and save your money for a better meal elsewhere.

I don’t know why people have such bad reviews of the place but in my opinion this place was good! A little loud to the point we had to yell at the waiter and waiter had To yell at us, but he still remained friendly and bubbly We ordered the rib eye on a skewer and fish tacos and guac. The guac is good, and especially if you order the side of fresh cut veggies to dip it in instead of the normal tortilla chips. The Gf loved the Jicama so much they brought out a few extra pieces on the house! Even though I lost tons of money the food made me walk outta there feeling like a winner!

After many attempts to try this restaurant on or near the holidays over the years and having it been closed all those times, we finally grabbed a reservation on a Friday night for a party of three. We popped in Atlantic City to see a life-long friend and we’re looking for a place to catch up, have a few drinks, and enjoy a great meal. We arrived a little early so they invited us to have a drink at the bar. By 7:30 the bar was already two or three people deep and a lot of fun and lively conversations were going on. The bartenders quickly saw us, however, and got us some drinks to start the evening off right. Although it was packed, I didn’t get the impression that it was too loud to carry a conversation– a definite plus. Before too long they came to seat us in a nice room off to the side that fit maybe eight booths and tables. Our waitress came and quickly refilled our drink orders and let us peruse the menu. When she came back with our drinks she let us know of the specials they had and answered our questions with a smile. The crab meat guacamole was incredible and was the single best stand-out of the night. But aside from that, all of the food was great and they never loaded up our table with too many appetizers. Fish tacos, ceviche with octopus, chips and salsa– All really good. It was truly an enjoyable evening to get great food, great service, and great ambience. When all three come together like that, you know you’ll be coming back soon to try it again.

We FINALLY made it! It gets crowded fast. But it’s worth the wait. Happy hour is great probably the only place you can afford in here. There is a Mexican place down in ventnor with authentic dishes, but not nearly as many tequila varieties. I have a review for them too. Pros: tequila and decadent dishes. Cons: crowded, the bathrooms are outside, and you may get charged for the complimentary chips and salsa like we did. $ 5…yeah. Also we got the wrong meals, twice. Like I said, check my review for the other place lol

I just paid 100 bucks for something I should’ve paid 50 bucks for. Chips and salsa good. Chicken quesadilla was ordinary, flavorless and it had a chicken bone in it. Main course, fish tacos and enchiladas. Again, big let down. Fish was dry and the portions were real small. Had a 3 glasses of red for 35 bucks. The pour was very small. Not happy with this place and I would never go back. FYI… no one has gotten back to me.

This past weekend I ate here with a group of friends who wanted to change things up for dinner. Our go to restaurants are Carmine’s and Cuba Libre in Tropicana but we were staying in the Borgata so this was a little closer. The orders for the table included chicken casedillas, skirt steak and tacos with drinks and guacamole to start. The menu is not as complete as you would expect it to be for one of Harrah’s main restaurants. It seems as if they tried to make up for the lack of dinner options with a plethora of drink options. They have a very long list of tequilas to choose from, almost too long. The portion size for the money is a little out of whack but the quality of the food is good. The service was fine and the atmosphere was nice but the food failed to stand out over other choices in AC. Next time we’ll probably go back to Carmine’s or Cuba Libre.

Thank you to the server I had, Hamilton!!! He was probably one of the best servers I’ve ever had a restaurant! Ps — As you can see by my previous review I haven’t always«loved» this restaurant. Times have changed! I arrived 15 minutes late for my Saturday night reservation, but I was seated promptly despite the place being crowded. I was dining solo but I was seated in a giant, luxurious booth that I loved! Tucked away in the back. I told Hamilton that I was allergic to dairy and he went out of his way to ensure there was no dairy anywhere! He even saw that I received Rice and beans that had dairy on it — and without me even having to say anything — he rushed over and switched it out! He was very sweet! The service was fast and friendly by all the staff members I encountered. Now vegans– take note of the new menu– you can now get the veggie tacos — plated with quinoa for $ 19. It’s delicious! It’s a great, inventive dish! Apparently this new item was introduced just last week. It’s a must order! I got guacamole for 2(even though I’m just one haha) with the sliced veggies that were amazing and very fresh! And then I had chips and salsa(the salsa is always wayyyy to runny but what can you do) and then I had a traditional frozen marg which was delicious, and my entrée was the taco plate. My total was $ 44 which I was lucky enough to have covered by my total rewards points. ** note that Tip is NOT Covered by your rewards points ** I was lucky that I was actually staying at harrahs so I could charge my tip to my room bill– but something to think about if you’re going there with your points! Overall my experience was 1000% better thanks to excellent service and a great new menu addition. I would LOVE to see a vegan option added to the fixed price menu — as of now it’s not there — but this is a great step in the right direction!

It is restaurants like Dos Caminos that show why I love Mexican food so freaking much!!! My boyfriend took me to dinner here on Saturday night which mind you, means a lot because he isn’t a Mexican fan at ALL, so I was hoping that he would find something he would like here. When we arrived, there was a bit of a wait but it was expected; we were seated within 15 – 20 minutes. The atmosphere was great! Very fun vibe! They had Spanish music playing in the background and it was crowded but not overly. Our waitress was very nice and greeted us right when we were seated. I ordered a sangria for my drank and it was so flavorful. It was as if it had been made two days ago, which is a GREAT thing; the perfect amount of time to let all the alcohol and flavors marinate. Yum! We decided to order something to share and start the meal off, so my boyfriend ordered some lobster dish. I can’t really remember what it was called but it was amazing! The lobster was fresh and was seasoned like a ceviche. Mm delish! Individually, he ordered the ribeye steak that was over a white rice and I had the surf & turf tacos(steak & shrimp)…Everything was so good! My goodness. The surf and turf tacos were great and had guac & an aioli sauce that worked well with the dish. It also came with black refried beans and yellow rice for the table. Those were some of the best beans and rice I have ever had! Even better than my ultimate favorite, Rosa Mexicano! The best part though, was my man’s ribeye! Ughhh I wish I ordered it. The ribeye was so tender and melted in your mouth. It didn’t come with a sauce of any kind but it didn’t need it. It was perfect the way it was: D I am definitely getting that next time I come. What made me even more happy is that my boyfriend loved it & had a good time, like I said, he is not a fan, but that night, he was forever changed, lmaooo well for the moment! Lol. I had a great time at Dos Caminos. The food was perfect, the customer service was impeccable, and the vibe of the place was awesome! You have to check out Dos Caminos if you are a Mexican food fan… you’ll enjoy it! Favs: The ribeye steak and the sangria! Would Change: Nothing! You guys have it down pack! You deserve the 5 stars: D

Dos Caminos AC gives off that fancy vibe. You feel like money when u come in, well atleast we looked like it. After informing the hostess of our reservation we were lead to a room to wait in until our name was called. Two minutes passed and we were then taken into a huge dining space ingulfed in dark, masculine colors(lots of red and browns). Our booth seating was black leather, table was finished wood and had nice black rail accents. It was very classy looking, imo lipstick and heels are necessary. Once seated, I picked up the drink menu first. They had a great tequilla list, offering over 30 different kinds. We had already been drinking in our hotel room so I instead opted for a red sangria, which I regretted later on. That sangria was whack. Shout out to the guy that sent over 3 shots of Don Julio mid meal to our table, you the real MVP! Our waitress was very patient with us. Serving 3 semi intoxicated indecisive women takes alot of patience, amongst other things. She came back to the table literally 3 times within a 20 minute span to ask if we were ready to order. I noticed the pre fix 4 course menu, $ 39, and we all decide we would go with that. First course was freshly prepared guacamole for the table. They gave us the option for add ons like crab meat or bacon for $ 3 additional but we wanted to keep it simple. The guac came with 3 types of salsa and a huge basket of corn chips. I mixed in some of the mild green salsa with the guac which made it even better, delicioso! Second course I had my eye on them plantain empanadas. They sounded interesting and I didnt mind the additional $ 2 charge. There were four sweet plaintains shaped into empanadas filled with black beans and chiles Omg! Sweet on the outside and savory on the inside, absolutely unique! There was a sauce drizzled on top too that was too spicy for my liking. I ended up scraping majority of it off and honestly felt they could have omitted it from the dish all together. My third course was a broiled salmon which came with quinoa and a tomato olive sauce, Amazing! For an additional $ 3 the portion was good and the sauce was extremely tasty. We also received an order of rice and beans for the table to share. Since we were there celebrating my girlfriends birthday we had to get dessert. She wanted the Salted Caramel Tres Leches cake, which sounded like heaven on earth. Caramel cake, vanilla pudding with caramel crunchies and a strawberry on top. We all shared but Aww man I wanted to lick the plate. The cake was super moist, the flavors stood out and it was tantalizing to my taste buds. So happy we didnt each get our own, they would’ve had to roll me out of there lol We all had a great time though and really enjoyed the food and the chill vibe. This is a nice spot to check out as its perfect for dinners with friends, family, any sort of celebration and/or date nignt. I’ll be checking in to the NYC locations very soon.

Came here for a dinner with friends and was disappointed with this place. We ordered the large portion of guac to split with six people and the portion was extremely small. I had the fish tacos which were really disappointing. The fish had no flavor and was extremely bland. Also, I really wish they had churros on the menu. Our waiter said that they sometimes have churros as a special, but it’s not part of the menu.

This was my first and probably last time here. The overall experience was ok but there are better places to eat in Atlantic city. Ordered the frozen margarita, it was ok but I didn’t finish it. The guacamole was yummy but it was really small for the«larger» size. For my entrée I got the surf and turf tacos and I’ve had much better tacos than this place. Probably won’t be back.

I am a sucker for a good margarita and some guac, so clearly I was heading straight to Dos Caminos when we checked in at the Harrah’s. We came for a Sunday stay, so were really excited that Dos Camnios had a happy hour, sadly it was only on drinks. But beggers can’t be choosey, so of course we got $ 5 house margaritas to start and then browsed the menu. The margaritas were made with lots of love and even more tequila! We decided on a bowl of their traditional guacamole $ 12 and an order of their carne asada tacos $ 18 per the servers recommendation. I was very excited that the food came out quickly because we were starving. Sadly glancing over my 3 small tacos I thought I would still be hungry at the end of the meal. Thankfully they were extremely well made, delicious meat flavor and worth the dent to my wallet. Ironically, the best part of the meal was the guac and chips! The guacamole was made perfectly, a HUGE bowl full for $ 12 was a great deal and you still go the 3 side salsas to try as well. We ate at the bar which was very busy, but the bartender was very attentive and sweet. I would love to come back to one of their Wed Happy Hours which include food because their regular priced menu is just too high for what I’m used to paying for tacos. Overall, I would definitely return, if only for the ambiance which was very red room sexy; a perfect date night place!

Great happy hour alert! Dos Caminos Cinco de Wednesday special is where it’s at. What’s better than happy hour? One that goes beyond 7pm. From 5pm– 10pm you can get your Mexican on in the bar and lounge. The quality of the food and service stood out the most. We received our chips with 3 tasty salsas. The verde may have been one of the best verdes I’ve ever had. It was flavorful with a great consistency. I had the chile Rellenos which were stuffed with goat cheese(!!!) and the surf and turf quesadillas. There was no skimping on the shrimp. The pieces were large and well flavored. The house margarita was solid. Strong but drinkable and very enjoyable. My hubby and I sat at a cozy table in the back corner of the lounge. It was awesome for privacy but our server never forgot about us. She was attentive and friendly. I wish they had this special on other nights, but it’s a no brainer where I’m going to be if I’m ever in AC on a Wednesday.

I’ve only eaten at Dos Caminos twice but sadly I was led to the same status of disappointment each time. 2 stars given because of the tasty chips & salsa and the although completely anxious, a friendly server. When I was in 5th grade and my grandma wouldn’t make me a dang quesadilla i would make my own. Long story short my microwaved shredded kraft mozz between a mission tortilla with tostitos jarred salsa blew the $ 11 Rajas Quesadillas appetizer out of the water. Super greasy, overwhelmed with roasted red peppers and the cheese tasted like it had been aging since the mid 80’s. We also had the chopped salad. The salad was okay, but the cumin vinaigrette was overcome by… cumin. Long story short, I won’t be returning, and i’m pretty sure my stomach still hurts from that vintage cheese.
