Tonight my boyfriend and I took his mama out to dinner. This place was beautiful & absolutely delicious. The staff was amazingly friendly, & the chef even came over & greeted us when we sat down. We got a bunch of appetizers, most of the ones on the menu & I have to say every single one of them was phenomenal! The meatball salad, eggplant stack, and calamari were out of this world. We were all so stuffed before our meals even came out. We got the Chilean sea bass, & chicken Marsala. And they were both so delicious. The portions are huge & we for sure had a lot of leftovers. This place is such a special spot & you need to visit it if you haven’t ever been. Reservations are a must, because they get slammed! We will definitely be back!!!(This one is even better then the one in VEGAS, & we live there!!) Nicolette(the hostess) is so sweet and she made the entire experience even better. :)

It was a long Christmas weekend in AC with my SO. We decided to have dinner at Mortorano’s for the first time spontaneously. I couldn’t be happier that we chose to dine at this restaurant since everything that we chose from appetizer to dessert was just loaded with flavor! They start you off with a basket of freshly baked bread with 2 different infused olive oils for dipping. For appetizer we ordered the Caesar salad and the Eggplant stacked(thin fried eggplant stacked with fresh mozzarella and tomato drizzled with olive oil and balsamic vinegar). For entrée I ordered the Chicken Marsala that came with vegetable risotto and my SO ordered their seafood linguini special(shrimp, clams, mussels, and scungele in white wine sauce). We loved it all. We were already so stuffed that we couldn’t look at food any longer. But we had to order their Italian cheesecake to go for dessert so we can have it after we walked off dinner for the next 3 – 4 hours. It was well worth the wait because that cheesecake was decadent and creamy. The perfect ending to a perfect night in AC on Christmas Day! Highly recommend this place. Immaculate and friendly service.

Fortunately Martorano’s is open midweek. The food was excellent. I had the veal parmigiana. My friends had the chicken francese. The waitstaff is excellent. It was a bit disconcerting to see TVs everywhere but easy to get used to. The female greeter at the front door of Martorano’s was quite surly when asked about the other restaurants.

Foods actually pretty good for a nitelife/restaurant owned by a orange guido from philly. I watched oceans 11 on a screen and had some dope hot peppers stuffed with veal and some pigs feet. Service was awful but it’s AC and they serve no class old people all the time so it’s whatever. Not a must check out, but dinning in AC is always rough I miss that aquarium buffet they had in the middle of the casino but I’m not Eating at dos caminos anytime soon.

3 stars only because my wife enjoyed her portions and was able to justify the excessive saltiness. Were it based exclusively on my own experience it would likely be 2 stars. The appetizers were quite good. The calamari was possibly the lightest and most tender I’ve had and the meatball app was fantastic too. Not overcooked and little if any breading. I say if you’ve got good meat in a ball, why mess with it? The entrees were both so unfortunately salty that they really should have been returned. My dear pregnant wife however has been tired and passive and I could tell she didn’t want me to start that whole conversation with staff, then wait for the food again. Also, they server warned of al dente pasta preparation but al dente does not mean really really undercooked! There was literally that white floury core to the pasta where the boiling water never reached. So we ate as much we could before the salt overwhelmed us and we concluded our meal. Then there’s some silly blurb written in half-English at the bottom of the menu«No substitutions Cuz that’s the way I cook.» or «don’t bust my balls.» Any place that firmly puts its foot down on substitutions and sharing and such is really missing the point of «Service.» You really wouldn’t put say, linguini on a plate instead of say fetuccinne, before dropping or mixing the sauce to make a customer happy? I’ll be sure to never bust anyone’s balls at this restaurant ever again.

We read the reviews prior to going and they were mixed. We had no real expectations, just wanted a great dinner and night out. The service was great– everything was a canned response but our server Sharane was great and attentive. Jesus was great and personable. The problem came when offering specials. They had no trouble offering us a $ 40.00 bottle of crappy Chianti but failed to tell us pricing for their iPad menu items. I ordered the Sea bass and granted didn’t ask the price but most restaurants tell you prior. We got our bill and my fish was $ 58.00. That came with nothing else, no veggies, nothing. I ordered Risotto with that so for my plate alone if was $ 70 and change. Pretty sure my Seabass was farm raised so how can you justify $ 58 for a small piece of fish. My husbands Chicken Marsala was pricey but he says delicious. One other thing, if this is marketed as an upscale restaurant– drop the«yo cuz» from your marketing– it is absolutely ridiculous. Not sure if we’d return to any of the restaurants.

From start to finish I enjoyed my dining experience at Martorano’s. This restaurant differs from just about every restaurant I’ve been to for a few reasons. The first being that a movie is played on the numerous flatscreen tvs that grace the walls. According to their website, the movies are personal favorites of the owner. The movies are played with the subtitles. The second reason this restaurant differs is the DJ booth and dance floor that are centrally located. The DJ didn’t start playing while we were there so I can’t comment on that aspect. I will say that the restaurant is very loud so I can imagine how much louder it’s going to be if you are there when the DJ is performing. I ordered the chicken parm and my husband ordered the chicken Marsala. The chicken parm comes with gnocchi. The chicken was delicious and huge. The gnocchi was ok and nothing special. The chicken Marsala comes with vegetable risotto and that is AMAZING! I wanted to eat a plate of that alone. It was the perfect consistency and full of flavor. I tried the Angel from their drink menu. It’s a very smooth, sweet tequila based drink. I would order it again. The service is top-notch. The waitstaff are extremely attentive and friendly. I look forward to coming back again the next time I’m in AC.

First thing I would like to point out is the staff is friendly and professional. They greeted my wife and I and provided us a seat quickly. The place is unique in a few ways. One way, is the movie playing in the background while you eat. Two, they have the set up where dj speakers and dj lights are all around. We did not stay for the party I assume takes place. With all the lively people eating in the restaurant I can imagine. We both ordered drinks, but mine came out okay. I tasted better. What saved the night was the staff remaining attentive towards us. My wife ordered the chicken Parmesan and I ordered the chicken Marsala. The food was amazing and they provide great portions. Overall, my wife and I will go back because the food and service was just that good. If you are a total rewards member don’t forget to provide your card to receive your points.

I wish that I could give negative stars. The food came out terrible! The waiter spilled someone else’s martini on me and the manager laughed it off like it was nothing. They also lost my comps that I was using to pay for the bill. Yes, I had to pay for the entire bill even though a martini was dropped on me. No, they did not pay my dry cleaning bill. We will never be going back to this place, and I suspect this place won’t be open for very long.

We dined Thursday evening and WOW! after reading reviews online I was starting to become skeptical, but I’m glad I don’t listen to what others say, and see for myself. The food was incredible. The service was great! And that iPad presentation was and is a creative and captivating way to ensure you choose one of those amazing dishes… our waitress, Debbie, was awesome! We had a few drinks before entering the restaurant, as it was our first night away in awhile without kids and the other couple had their first night away without their brand new baby… so we hope we weren’t too much lol. Anyway, the appetizers were incredible. Hands down best calamari I’ve had in awhile. I’ve worked in the food industry for years, for fine dining, so I’m a bit critical… but the food was spot on! The men ordered the chicken and veal parm, holy delicious. Tender! The gnocchi were incredible. I believe my fiancé said, «this is exactly how my nanny used to make them«(very Italian family). I had the bucatini Bolognese, by suggestion of our waitress. It was awesome! So much that the leftovers were eaten in the car on the ride home, the NEXT day, cold and still incredible lol. My sister in law had the parpadelle panchetta… incredible doesn’t even begin to do that dish justice. It was out of this world! We couldn’t even do desert bc we were so full. But I can only imagine! My fiancé and I frequent Harrah’s and will Definitely be back… way to go! Sorry to Debbie for having to chase us thru the casino for the correct copy of our credit card slip, lol… as I mentioned before, we don’t get out much. But the service was phenomenal. Thank you Debbie!

Traveling with people who follow a SAD(Standard American Diet) is often a struggle because I have to make modifications to SAD menus. However, I am the best vegan that I can be and instead of stressing over the little things, I choose to eliminate as much animal suffering as possible. Here, I was able to over the spaghetti($ 22) minus the cheese! I chose to assume there were no additional hidden animal derivatives in this recipe. It was pretty decent! All the food is wildly overpriced but I was being treated and grateful for that. I enjoyed a Coconut Water Ice Martini after the first two cocktails I ordered were both unavailable. They should update their menu to reflect inventory. The atmosphere was unique and is the bulk of the 2 stars. Live music started halfway through our meal with many mesmerizing disco balls. After the band, a movie was being played which is a great concept but the volume was way too loud. Cool concept but not worth the cost. My grandmas Italian cuisine blows away the recipes served here!

I have never been so compelled to write a one star review of any establishment. My friend made the poor decision of booking a reservation for 20 on the one year anniversary weekend of this restaurant. Let me add that literally all 20 people in this party have or currently work in AC restaurants, bars, and casinos, so you would be hard pressed to find a more laid back group of people when it comes to dining out and spending money on food and drinks. This night was her going away/birthday party because she was moving to Florida the following week. We were not seated until almost an hour after our reservation, which was fine because we were all dropping ~$ 12 – 15 per drink at the bar. I had spent over $ 75 before we even sat down at the table. There were 19 other people likely spending in that vicinity in the course of an hour as well. Finally our table is ready. We walk across the«club room?» to find we have two separate tables. Friend is not pleased because no where over the course of emails when making reservation was she told they would not be able to accommodate 20 people at one table. We look across dining room. Other party of 20 sitting at one table. It basically came down to poor planning on their end and after pulling teeth we were able to push tables together. Then the real fun began. Typical guido want to be gangster Italian meatball of a server recognizes one member of our party. Before even taking our drink orders(you know that ~ $ 300 round) he starts off by introducing himself with the words … «If you don’t want to get f**ked in the ass you should do the pri fixe menu». We look at the pri fixe menu. For $ 75 a head at the cheapest option there was nothing that I wanted. I wanted to spend $ 75 or more on what I actually wanted to eat. I should add again that at no point during the making of this reservation were we told we couldn’t order off the menu. We kindly decline the pri fixe menu at which point 20 minutes later we still have not been asked if we would like anything to drink. Fast forward five minutes tool bag number one in seniority server is arguing with us about doing the pri fixe because Steve was there and he «makes a million dollars a day and doesn’t give a shit». We LOL over his attitude at which point were trying to explain to him that we don’t care about spending money we just all want to order what we please. He then turns to member of our party who was wearing a very nice watch and says, «well I can tell by your watch you have money but I don’t know about the other half of the table.» Ummm. Jaw hits floor. Literally the most unprofessional thing I have ever heard in any caliber of restaurant in any part of this country. So after troll boy explains we have to do pri fixe because he can«only take three credit cards»(yeah bro we’ve all used that one) we politely explain, we all brought cash! Finally the entirely incompetent manager finds his way over(STILLNOALCOHOL) in which he explains«sorry you have to do family style». The hilarity of the situation was that this manager was the one whom the email exchange had been with and at no time did he mention they would be unable to accommodate a party of 20 or send us family style options with pricing sizing etc! We explained to the manager we were totally fine with our dinners coming out at different times to accommodate us and that we didn’t all need to eat a the same time. After going back and forth with this worthless card swiper and being so hungry and NEEDING a drink after that we hadn’t even been asked about in over an hour, we got up and walked out of this restaurant. I have literally never walked out of a restaurant in my entire life. I have never sent a dish back in my entire life. I have never complained about a server in my entire life. This was a trifecta of horrendous-ness. This place literally let thousands of dollars walk out of a restaurant after taking up a table for well over an hour. What kind of management is that? In terms of the atrocious server, we ran in to a friend who works at Harrahs who informed us that this server is number one in seniority and known for being a complete tool because he’s essentially untouchable because of the Union. If this is the kind of behavior they allow at a place that costs well over $ 100 a head then this place will be closed in 5 years. I’ll keep spending my money at Borgata where they actually value your business and don’t greet me with sentences that involve anal sex.

Obscene prices for worse than your mom’s quality. Add on top of that the service was terrible. What a horrible replacement for Palladino’s which served excellent food with good service. Wine list and selection is unappealing and expensive. Don’t come here.

Came in for a bachelor party with about 28 people and Nick and his staff were happy to accommodate us. I know Stevie for some years now from his Florida locations so when I knew he was in town I came by to check out the AC location. We had a great time, the food was on point as always, love the open kitchen being in the center of the restaurant at this location. We had it all and it was all delicious! Shrimp scampi, meatballs, Mozzarella burrata, calamari, Philly cheesesteak, rice balls, chicken parm, NY strip special, it was an absolute feast! Thank you Nick and staff for a great night! Stevie, thanks for the continued hospitality, as always great seeing you.

I wanted to like this place. But when the server told me he couldn’t make my wife’s drink because the bartender can’t find basil, I thought uh-oh. Can’t find basil in an Italian restaurant? Really? I am an Italian American from South Philly, grew up on this food, so I get the concept. I get IT, trust me. Simply put, you can get better Italian American food, for half the price almost anywhere, and without all the over the top(and frankly a bit insulting) sayings, menu notes and and other stereotypes(gangster movies). I wasn’t sure whether I was supposed to laugh or be insulted. The food itself is ok. Not great, but ok. We had fried mozzarella(meh), sausage special with peppers(average), and the tomato salad(very good). Then we each had an entrée, which took FOREVER to get. Yeah, I know it’s «cooked to order», so is every other high end Italian restaurant(Vetri, Amis, Le Virtu, i Ricchi, La Famigilia, etc) I have eaten in, and none take this long to make an entrée. Please don’t tell me they are made to order and that’s why it’s taking 30 minutes after the appetizer to get our entrées. The Carbonara was terrible, the Alfredo was ok, the chicken parm was ok(gnocchi on the side were excellent) and linguine jersey style was good. Didn’t stay for dessert, we had enough. I’m sure this is a great concept in Florida where folks pine for comfort food from«up north». But in Atlantic City, so close to South Philly and other GREAT South Jersey Italian restaurants?

Being a regular of Steve’s place in Fort Lauderdale I am almost hesitant to try a place he is not at often thinking it is in name only. Happy to say we had a great meal the other night here while on an overnight at Harrah’s. Atmosphere is just like others turning the place into a nightclub the later it gets, but with a small crowd tonight the music and the vibe on a Thursday just never seemed to get going. Food on the other hand was top notch. Debbie our server after the standard IPAD specials gives us the menus and to find that the menu’s are much more limited than his Florida locations… even with that here is the breakdown. Fresh Hot Bread with dripping sauces delicious Meatball Salad 5 Stars Cheese Steak Appetizer. No better in the land caramelized onions off the charts. Chicken Parm — with Gnocchi… Chicken was out of this world while the Gnocchi was a major disappointment. One meal that fell short was the Carbonara… one of my favorite dishes in FLORIDA. Was simply not up to par with everything else that was served here. Couldn’t put my finger on it just didn’t get it done. Coffee hot and fresh and to go cups for our wine so we could head to the Casino. Certainly would not hesitate to return here but obviously with the original in my back yard might try other venues in Atlantic City in the future.

This place is a joke … Yo cuz? … Is this guy serious? He should have stayed in Florida… Way overpriced and terrible service … I guess for 200 a person good help must be hard to find … Average Italian with a huge check… The people we came with defiantly voice their opinion and I took a picture of the discontent … He stated that this place will not make it another year … I agree … I don’t see a need for the manager to contact me. We spoke to the manager that evening briefly and he obviously should not be the manager … He was a dumbfounded young guy in his late 20’s or early 30’d that believes this is the proper way to run a Resturaunt is to … Treat the customers badly, serve average food and make them over pay … Oh and act like an idiot American/Italian(yo cuz) with no class. I am Italian(first generation) and theses people are an embarrassment to my culture. There is no reason to contact me ever again as I will never return … I dine out frequently and this place is just all around unacceptable!

My group of 8 made reservations for 6:00PM on a Saturday evening. The place itself is gorgeous and modern. Black and white everything, neat and trendy apperance. The drinks were delicious, so no complaints at all in those departments. The prices are very steep. VERY. The cheapest appetizer is $ 16, which isn’t too expensive — but that is for a salad of lettuce, cucumber, tomato and red onion! One would think it would have something special to it for that price. Our group ordered two of those said salads to split between the 8 of us leaving us with very small portions. We also had the calamari which truly was great, but again, two orders at $ 22 each didn’t really give us all a taste. The rule here is no substations. I can almost appreciate this… ALMOST. I understand why a chef makes a dish a specific way, and I totally get that the chef knows best… I just don’t understand if someone is allergic to a specific item in the dish why it can’t be removed. The waiter told us that only a garnish could be changed — makes me think its a factory in the kitchen and dishes aren’t made exactly to order. The specials are shown to you on an iPad, which is an interesting method and gave us a visual of what we would be ordering. The menu is limited, and I am not a picky eater, so I found myself between one or two, but opted against the lobster /fresh fish entrees out of fear of the«market price. The entrees were okay, but given the price point — of course our expectations were high. Every one enjoyed the entrees, but no one found themselves impressed. The waiter came around with two complimentary meatballs for the table so that was nice. I really can’t complain about the waitstaff, they were friendly and attentive. Only downside would be the fact that we stated we had a show we had to rush off to and asked to split the bill between three cards, even wrote down the amounts and the last four of each card to make it easier… it still took 25 minutes for our check to be returned. For the 8 of us– the four appetizers, 8 entrees and about 12 drinks our total with tip was $ 665.00, coming in at 85.00 a person for hardly an appetizer after dividing them between us all, an entrée and 1 ½ drinks per person? Meh. I know its AC and it is expensive, but I wish I would have been more satisfied. I ended up at Bills Burgers at 11:30PM.

Maybe it’s not for everyone, but I love this chic restaurant turned club(at 10:45 p. m). The food was high end Italian food… def a step above the norm. To start we had the fresh mozzarella– omg. So fresh it was still warm. Then we had the most AMAZING calamari– it had an Asian twang which is interesting for an Italian restaurant but let me tell you, the calamari was cooked to perfection. The meatballs are also worth bragging about– served with a schlog of ricotta(just like how I like it). The meatballs had the most amazing deep cheesy, meaty, saucy flavor. The cheesesteaks were also out of the norm for an Italian restaurant but they were delish. Okay then I tried the SEABASS. Oh my lord. I died and went to heaven. I love sea bass and I have never had it this perfectly cooked and seasoned. Wow. Blew me away. Then it turned 10:45 p.m. and the restaurant you were just enjoying turns into a full blown night club. Music is from the 70s and it draws an older crowd– but I still had fun :). I personally thought it was awesome but I can understand if it’s not your thing. If you want to avoid the club scene I would suggest an earlier dinner. The drinks were pretty awesome as well. My fav was the Sicilian mule(served in an authentic copper mug) and the truffle stuffed olives in the«Yo Cuz!» I personally can’t handle straight vodka martinis but I stole a delicious truffle stuffed olive and I immediately wanted a plate of them. I gave this place 4 stars because there is only ONE bathroom with ONE toilet for two restaurants!(They share between the restaurant next door). That’s insane to me. Also, the service was shotty. Drinks took forever but they were pretty sharp with the food requests(like more ricotta and seabass!). All in all, I had a great time(thank you Steph)!!!
