Disappointed with this place. Service was shoddy(seriously if you don’t like your job, then don’t work in hospitality in a tourist city during their big season). The tables were dirty. The food was ok. Very hot and very bland.

Is there a spice ration in place at Showboat casino eateries that I don’t know about? I dined at both Earl of Sandwich and Johnny Rockets on a recent visit, and in both establishments I had to aggressively use the salt and pepper shakers(and hot sauce, too) to add a much-needed ingredient to my meal: flavor. At Earl, I had a tuna salad sandwich for what was meant to be a late, quick lunch. Late it was, but quick it was not. Beware of small groups carrying multiple vouchers, people! We only had one group of four in front of us when we ordered, yet it literally took over 20 minutes to get their situation straightened out before we could be processed. This also makes you wonder: if you have two registers, why was only one open? After about 2 – 3 minutes or so, shouldn’t someone have manned the second register to cut down on the amassing line? The next morning, I gave Earl a second chance and got a BLT. This one actually had taste, and I was thankful for that. But just know they go light on the bacon compared to what you might imagine a BLT would have, and some of it was burnt. Bottom line: The food won’t kill you, but you also won’t feel like you’ve died and gone to heaven after eating here. This is a «fill your basic needs for survival» type of place.

*grilled cheese(oh my god! This was so good! They used Swiss and cheddar cheese; the combo was so good, they didn’t overwhelm the bread with a load of cheese which was perfect; toasted perfectly and it was exactly what I had expected; definitely worth the $ 3.99 haha) *tomato soup(a little on the sweeter side, not as thick and creamy as I was expecting still decent flavor; perhaps a little too salty as well; the croutons were gigantic but so good! they definitely made the soup more tolerable to eat because I can handle only so much tomato soup before it gets to be too much; this is the first time I had grilled cheese and tomato soup and I can honestly say that I love the combo, and I get why people like it so much) This place is a chain and of course well known for their signature sandwiches, they offer wraps, salad, paninis, soups, breakfast sandwiches, bagels, croissants, parfaits, etc. I like the selection and the quality of food they put out. I feel like the sandwiches are small for the price but I think it’s overpriced for the name and location, nonetheless, I would go back and try more

Do you think EOS, that vegetarians don’t eat sandwiches? Really? I went in to this establishment absolutely ravenous. This is the first time that I had eaten all day to a stomach bug. It was nine at night, and the only thing open. I stood in the line, tried to order where it says«order here». Nope. I was told to go up a little further in the line to order. The soups of the day were clearly displayed on the board, and soup sounded SO good to me right then and there. But the problem with soup is a lot of them are flavored with beef and chicken broth. So when it was finally my turn. This is the conversation I had with the girl at the register: Me: What soups are vegetarian? Her: Turkey Noodle… Me:(impatient) No, that’s not vegetarian. What soups are? Her: Well, I was telling you what soups we have. Tomato. Me: Great. Tomato soup then. Is the Mac and cheese vegetarian? So I got a grilled cheese, Tomato(small) soup, and a small mac and cheese. The meal came to close to $ 14. Ouch. All in all, it wasn’t worth $ 14. The soup was separated when I got it upstairs, the Grilled cheese was on a hamburger bun, and although it tasted good, frankly didn’t have enough cheese on it, and the Mac and cheese was not as creamy as I would like it to be. I suppose their sandwiches are better?

I am a big supporter of Earl the Pearl. The location near the buses and garage is unbeatable. It is nestled in such a cozy nook and irresistible for travelers before or after a lengthy trip. The prices are very reasonable, especially if using vouchers or comps. Wheat bread is an option, although the counter people rarely if ever mention it. Their likelihood of reading Unilocal to realize this omission is a big fat zero. Earl’s patrons are on the eccentric side, but that is an accurate cross section of this casino’s patrons. They may linger there to take advantage of the free wifi as well. The Full Montague is my number one option. The Original is also extremely tasty, with the roast beef, cheddar and horseradish working in perfect harmony. Earl’s staff is pretty friendly, and it is a nice routine to interact with the same folks every week. The soups are a poor value, but the product itself is good. There is a wide variety of beverages and desserts. New dinner dishes also liven up the menu after 4PM. My main complaint is that the bread is so soft after being heated that I always finish eating it too fast. I agree that the slow service is a drag. The buzzer given after paying takes a very long time to buzz. It is akin to waiting for a slot machine to pay off a jackpot, in which case I would take my business to Casa di Napoli across the casino. I also dislike their huge tacky billboard on the side of the casino, an immense eyesore.

My favorite Earl of Sandwich now in Atlantic City! This place being in Showboat would be enough to make me book a room and stay here. After my friends and I discovered this place in Planet Hollywood in Vegas, it was the only thing we ate — for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and after we’ve been out all night drinking. Luckily there’s also a Earl of Sandwich in NYC and I’m very excited that this location has been added! The Earl’s in Showboat is located on the way to or from the parking garage. Just walking up to it, you can already smell all the yummy sandwiches being made. When my bf and I were here recently, I had the Earl’s club and my bf had the The Original. I haven’t been to the location in NYC in a while but I think it may be a new option in regards to the kind of bread you want, they now have Wheat, which we both got. I also ordered a small Tomato soup which was hot and delicious. They already put a few croutons in there, which were a little soggy by the time I started eating it, but I didn’t mind. This staff at this location is real friendly. It’s a big space that has many tables and chairs and it’s clean. Very much looking fwd to eating here again.

I first tried earl of sandwich in Las Vegas in planet hollywood and I became a fan. Best sandwiches! So when I came here, I was excited. The cashier here was so rude and obviously hated her job. The chipotle chicken avocado was good but I remember it being better in Las Vegas. We ate in the seating area and we noticed 1 or 2 homeless people sitting/eating there as well. We came here another time on checkout day and this time we ordered a salad to try. They took FOREVER to make the salad and it wasn’t even fresh. It came from the fridge so I don’t know what took so long. I think service here could be a lot better but the food itself is good, not Las Vegas good but still good.

I very much appreciate the call from the Regional Manager inquiring about my bad service at this location. I hope everything turns out for the better because, the sandwiches here are out of this world! Again, the only problem was the ridiculously slow SERVICE I received(Get a clue guys and don’t have someone wait for a sandwich for 20min while you are chit-chatting on your cel phone). The SANDWICHES are GREAT!

I love this place. A totally new find for me. My friend was hungry and dragged me there to get food becasue he said how delicious it was. He was so right. This place makes amazing sandwiches!!! The bread is so good i could just eat that. It was reasonably priced, i got a Earl Club with Turkey and it was only $ 6. The bread is toasted and the meats were delicious. Not sure why this place isnt more popular. It seems they have just randomly scattered locations. Deff worth checking out though if your hungry and want a mouth-watering sandwich!

Great cheap place to grab a bite. When you are hungry, tired and broke, take your family here. You won’t be disappointed :)

I didn’t even know there was an Earl of Sandwich in the AC area, but I’m glad I know now. After a long day/night/day again in a casino, this is a good bet. Everything there is under $ 8, so it makes for a filling meal when you aren’t flush with cash. I went with the classic sandwich(Roast beef, cheddar, horseradish) and it hit the spot. As others have said, the airy bread is the best part of the sandwich. I’ve had several other things on the menu and enjoyed them all. I wish the staff was a bit more attentive at this location. The cashier decided that her texting held priority over ringing me up.

Good counter-service sandwich shop with great soup. I was impressed. I ordered the ham & cheese, hold the mustard, and it was very good. I liked the bread. The tomato soup was excellent! I loved it. They threw in two bags of the oyster crackers, which was nice. I didn’t get a drink(had some in the room) or dessert, but what I had was good, reasonably priced for Atlantic City, and the service was pleasant.

Earl of Sandwich is arguably one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to. I have so many fond and fuzzy memories of delicious, hot sandwiches at 3am in the planet hollywood casino in vegas. Those sandwiches were always perfect, delivered quickly(considering the huge line of drunk and disorderly customers) and made well. So I was extremely excited(way more than a normal person ought to be) when I heard there was a location in the casino right next door to me. I went around midnight ish(who knows, really) with only two people in line before me. The time to order and receive my food was not lightning quick, but it was somewhere around ten minutes. When you consider that it takes time to assemble and toast the sandwich, it’s very reasonable. The sandwich itself was good. I got the chipotle chicken. Stop laughing at me, everyone who knows my chipotle addiction. Chicken, lettuce, tomato, avocado, and a chipotle mayoish deal. I would nix the lettuce next time. The sandwich is so warm(they toast, and then wrap in foil to keep in the heat), that the lettuce wilts before you can make a dent. The bread is and has always been the star of the show for me. It’s so perfectly crispy, crusty on the outside, and soft on the inside. I would definitely recommend this place, over most places in any casino. The prices are reasonable for any location, and are a steal for a casino. Pretty much everything is under 7 bucks. Get any sandwich. Don’t get a salad. Don’t expect anything mind-altering, and you will be satisfied. Go when you’re drunk and you’ll be a very happy person.

Very surprised by how good this sandwich was. Not too bready and perfectly warm — figure about $ 6 a sandwich. Losing 1 star for not having the mac and cheese and handing us a useless buzzer to collect our order. They don’t actually buzz you(instead they yell out your order number) so what’s the point? Had to listen to workers scream out order numbers and their voices sounded like nails on a chalkboard. Also the seating area is a little cramped. I got the mozzarella, tomato and balsamic vinegar sandwich and loved it. It was really delicious. Husband got the meatball parm sandwich and loved his as well. Definitely would go back!

I love earl of sandwich… but i am not a fan of this restaurant. My veggie sandwich was made incorrectly and the lettuce on it had black and brown spots all over it. All of the pasta salad was a day old and looked pretty gross as well… Definitely won’t come back here next time I’m in AC.

2.5 Stars. The food here is OK. I would describe these sandwiches as an intermediate of subway and panera. The bread is good, but the sandwich itself wasn’t anything too special. Prices are also mid way at about $ 6-$ 7. I was a bit disappointed by the chicken noodle soup because it was strangely thick, too salty, and cost $ 3 for a small cup. This place is good if you’re looking for a cheaper alternative to quick casino food, that isn’t McDonalds… especially if you have a big group. Overall not bad, and the best sandwich on the menu in my opinion is the Hawaiian BBQ.

This place was lightly manned when we visited. We waited at the Order counter for a few minutes before someone waved us over to the Payment counter to take our order. Their credit card processing system had issues as the error message indicated a problem with their SSL process. The«order ready» tokens also didn’t seem to work as a worker had to loudly call out our order number for us to know that it was ready. The finally token lit up at the moment I received the order. The food itself wasn’t very food. I had the Caprese«hot» sandwich and the mozzarella was underwhelming. It had some of the taste that I expected from mozzarella cheese but the texture was powdery and not stringy. My date had the Hawaiian BBQ sandwich and the sauce was overhwhelmingly sweet. The saving grace was the free Wifi. Edit: +1 to the rating because their Customer Service reached out to me to address the issues.

Seriously I don’t know what they put in their sandwiches but these are one of best sandwiches I have had till date. My personal favorites are Hawaiian BBQ, Caribbean Jerk chicken and Tuna melt. The only problem is that the sandwiches never fill you up and one always ends up craving for more. They should open more locations on east coast!

A better sandwich than you’d expect in an AC casino. This place is priced similarly to Quizno’s, Subway, etc. but offers a vastly superior sandwich and is open 24 hours. The bread is fresh, the meats are first rate(no mystery meat here), and the portions leave you stuffed. The service here was a bit slow so you might want to get some potato chips to tide you over while you wait for your buzzer to signify your sandwich is ready. You might be too full to care at that point but the brownie is worth checking out too.

Whoa! Can’t believe they opened an Earl of Sandwich right in the Showboat! I always associate this place with the times I have eaten there when on trips to Disney World, and still like it. This is a good solid spot to get some tasty hot sandwiches, breakfast sandwiches, salads, soups, desserts and coffee. We had not stayed here since March and this used to be the Canal Street Sandwich spot which was ok, but this is a major upgrade. Very affordable and open 24 hours with is a big plus. The ordering system is a bit wacky here but it moves smooth enough. Place your main sandwich order, move to the cashiers where you get handed a buzzer when paying, and then wait for the food to be ready. The staff we encountered were friendly and the food came out quick and delicious. We had the Full Montague which was so tasty — it’s my fav sandwich here — along with The Original 1762 which was also very good. At $ 6.50 a sandwich you can’t go wrong. Oh dear God — they even had a special«Jersey Shore Snooki Sandwich» called the«Gorilla Beach». WTF!!! Figures it had grilled chicken and pickles in it. Fist pumping like a champ! Juicehead gorillas in tha house! Plus, you can also pay with comp dollars as 1:1 off your Players Club card. Hey, it’s not upscale dining but hits the spot and won’t break your bankroll. Good choice Showboat!
