omg the fries with the dipping sauces were like heaven! we came here for a quick little lunch and shared the fries. plus I loved that they had a yummy nonalcoholic drink since I didn’t want to start drinking at 3 pm lol. hubby who didn’t care loved the beer on tap.

I had the mussels in wine and garlic and they were fantastic and decently priced. The Juicy Juice martini was good, and overall I would only say my disappointment is in the rather abbreviated lunch menu with few options.

I really can’t even give this place 2 stars due to one main reason: your specialty is mussels and you cannot do mussels right. I liked the menu and atmosphere of the place. However, the food was disappointing. A few selections of mussel platters that sound quite appetizing. Went with the thai green curry mussels, because it sounded unique. I can get the normal marinara or basil tomato mussels anywhere, so why not? The mussels came out overly shriveled and cooked a little too long. The thai curry sauce was extremely lacking in flavor, and didn’t even accent anything from the mussels. Whole peanuts were just thrown into the mussels. $ 28? I make better mussels at home that I can buy for under $ 5 at the grocery store. I also must comment on the cheese platter $ 17. 3 pieces of cheese(where’s the brie?) that were funky and ordinary. Most of the board was covered with pickled onions and sides that also weren’t too great. Service wasn’t great either. They brought us the wrong cheese board first. It’s sad when the best thing I enjoyed there were the dipping sauces for the fries that came with the mussels. You’re better off picking up some fish tacos from the taco truck. Maybe I’d come back for $ 1 oysters happy hour. That’s about it.

Fantastic craft beer bottle and draft selection. Great menu! Outstanding service from the bartenders! What else can I say?!

Finally decided to stop here for lunch today after passing it over many times in favor of other dining choices at Revel. I was very glad we did! My first impression was just GOODVIBES. Fantastic 90’s alternative rock playlist and high celings that mixed a heavy industrial look with an artistic rock n roll feel. Yeah, that’s quite a combo. We were provided with a truncated lunch menu that included mussels, pizzas, and a couple different sandwiches and wraps, as well as one burger option. We started with simple white wine mussels which were fantastic! The $ 12 lunch portion came with a ½ pound of mussels, and while they were on the small side, it was definitely enough for a starter. Really loved the mussels and of course dipping the sourdough bread in the delicious creamy lemony garlicky juice! Every single type of mussels on the menu sounded incredible so I’ll definitely be expanding my horizons next time we go here. Our waiter was very inattentive and slow. We really would have appreciated some kind of introduction and overview of the menu when we sat down. The hostess was very sweet and helpful so I was surprised by the horrible service from our actual waiter. Regardless, I decided on the Bleu Cheese, Red Grape & Hazelnut pizza with rosemary, chestnut honey and black pepper. My boyfriend ordered the Kobe Beef Burger that had smoked mozzarella, BBQ tomato jam, arugula tossed with balsamic vinaigrette on a house made brioche bun. Mine had a unique and delicious taste. It was nutty, fruity and smooth all at same time. The rosemary balanced out the flat bleu cheese taste nicely, and the grapes added a refreshing juicy component — but the crunchiness of the hazelnut was my favorite part of the pizza! It ended up being too big for me to finish, so I left satisfied. I tried a bite of my boyfriend’s burger and thought it was excellently executed. Not only did it stay together nicely despite being packed with toppings, it was also full of delicious contrasting flavors and made with all fresh ingredients, including the bun. It also came with a side of sweet and spicy pickles that I devoured. Great spot lacking in service today, but I’ll hope for better next time and be back for some more delicious mussels sometime in the future.

Cold & tough Artichokes, they hear it always from customers! Absent celeb chef Robert Wiedmaier doesn’t know how to cook an artichoke? No excuse. Shameful. Goofs take raw artichoke, dump in handful of dry breadcrumbs in the center, sprinkle with goat cheese, horrible mouth-feel. Server hard and cold in the middle. Two tables, over an hour to get food. Mushroom pizza tiny but good, meat pizza dry, salty & bad… Muscles Fra Diavolo was good but mushy linguine, not above any corner pizzeria. If he thinks he’s copying a Belgium restaurant, he needs to hop on a plane and hit anywhere in Brugge and ask them to let him help in the kitchen for a week.

Came here on a Friday, around 4PM, and sat at the bar with my husband. The place was empty, but we love sitting at restaurant bars and chatting it up with the bartenders. The bartender(bless his heart, but I forgot his name) did a great job describing many of the beers on the menu. We ordered two dozen oysters and he introduced me to this chili/garlic hotsauce that they make in the restaurant. It was soooo delicious that I asked him to ask the manager if I could buy a bottle! The flavor reminded me of a mild kimchi taste, but it was so good on my oysters! The bartender told us that there are also Mussel Bars in the DC area(Bethesda and Arlington) and a couple other restaurants in DC by the same owner that we should check out. I’m eager to try the places nearby now!

Came here for brunch with friends on a Saturday afternoon. We each ordered a couple of items from the brunch list and mussels. The brunch items taste better than your average brunch places. They have a good variety too — chicken & waffles, eggs benedict, BLT burger with egg, & pancakes. I got the BLT burger. Filled me up just perfectly! The mussels are worth the rave about. I tried both the Mediterranean and Spicy Thai Green Curry mussels. Both are absolutely delicious but I definitely would crown the Spicy Thai. Get some bread and dip it in the sauce, voilà! I would come here again and again for the mussels. They also had a make your own Bloody Mary bar, which I thought was unique since I don’t know of any places that do that. Didn’t get to try it though. 5 stars!

My husband and I enjoyed a very pleasant happy hour here during our recent stay at Revel. We ordered the Cave Aged Gruyère mussels and the Mushroom Pizza, both of which surpassed our expectations. The broth that was with the mussels was absolutely out of this world. We went through two loaves of bread to sop up every last possible taste. The mushroom pizza was good but nothing extraordinary. It actually kind of tasted like a fancy caesar salad on top of a pizza crust and we enjoyed it. The happy hour specials are very affordable. Palm on draft will run you $ 4/glass– not too shabby! The staff was very friendly and provided very good service. I would certainly go back for the happy hour specials and those mussels!

1.25 oysters and clams at hh! Very fresh, served with their house blend hot sauces. I really liked the jalapeño one. 5 dollar shots of jameson and fireball after 9. They have a huge selection of craft beers, which one of the awesome bartenders will help you pick.

I was very skeptical to eat at a Casino restaurant… but this turned out to be a pretty good place. Prices — it’s a casino, its overpriced, accept that reality and move on. Food — I had the Cave Aged Gruyère Mussels and I was not disappointed!(thanks Unilocal reviews!). It brings about 20 mussels in a nice sauce with some bacon sprinkled in. Order some extra bread for the table when you get this, you will want to keep dipping into that sauce! Some other friends tried the kobe burger and said it was pretty good. I was a little disappointed by the side options, not much to pick from there. Ambiance — I liked the setup, it has an open kitchen, plenty of bar seats(half facing the bar, other half facing the open kitchen). I sat facing the open kitchen which made it feel like I was at a regular table… just much much higher seat :) Overall, I think it’s a good pick if you want fancy dinner at a casino. It’s not anything out of this world, but its a good choice if you happen to be at Revel and want a fancy looking place.

Stayed at revel, made reservation at mussel bar. We went right in dinner for 2. My wife had the shrimp bisque soup and a fish dish which I forget the name. I had the shirt rib and we ordered an order of mussels as appetizer . My wife’s dish soup was deeeelisous !!! The fish I was not to fond of but she enjoyed it . My ribs was cooked to perfection and the mushroom sauce holly cow really good. The mussels were meh I had better . Reason I had better was because the sauce was not up to par . What I though was really good was their fries and the dipping sauces for them. I was talking about the fries for 3 days. Over all we had a good time and I would recommend . I wish their menu was more expanded and had more seafood. not too many choices on the menu. Yes I would recommend and would go back.

I’ve been to other Mussel Bars before so I kind of knew what to expect when coming to the Mussel Bar located in Revel. While I’m not the biggest fan of mussels, the flavors here are pretty alluring. I was very close to ordering the mussels but opted for a salad and a pizza. The«Fall Pear, Blue Cheese, and Arugula Salad» was surprisingly very tasty.(I am using quotation marks because it has a very long name, not because I’m questioning its saladness). I really enjoyed the toasted hazelnuts which is something you don’t often see in a salad. It was dressed perfectly and was actually pretty filling. I also ordered the«Garlicky Black Kale and Feta Cheese Pizza.» This was a bit disappointing. I found it to be a bit oily and it just tasted overwhelmingly like garlic and Parmesan. I didn’t get much of the kale or pine nut flavors. Almost everyone in my group ordered mussels. For the special, there was a mussel sampler that had three smaller pots of three different types of mussels. The mussels were decent but it didn’t come with frites. This was pretty surprising since all the mussels on the menu come with frites. It was disappointing but makes you wonder… if you are paying the same price, why not throw in some frites which cost next to nothing(from a restaurant operation standpoint)? There is an expansive beer selection. I did not try any but there were several that caught my eye. If you like craft beers, you will not be disappointed by the selection. The service was a bit questionable. When we first came in, we were told our party had to leave by a certain time because there was another party with a reservation. While the inside of the restaurant is not huge, it still seemed a bit strange that they couldn’t maneuver tables to be more accommodating. By the time we did leave, the place was not even full. Our food came out a little on the slower side. I was surprised(but also not surprised) by the prices here. A pot of mussels will set you back about $ 30. At the other Mussel Bar locations, the mussels are a bit cheaper. To me, the meal isn’t worth the money. But if you are in the mood for some guaranteed good seafood, you will pay the price but also get a quality, tasty meal.

Ewww. I can’t remember the last time I didn’t enjoy one thing about a restaurant. oysters? terrible. drinks? terrible. $ 22 ‘kobe’ burger? below average, making it the best thing of the day. fries? ugh Service was slow, especially considering how empty it was. Took forever just to get oysters even. Avoid. this. place.

This was my second time here. The first time I had a great experience. I was really disappointed this time. My waitress was horrible. She never came to check on us. I even waived at her once. I couldn’t even get a drink refill. I ordered the Kobe need burger and a side of fries. The burger was good and cooked to my liking. The fries were cold. I tried to send them back to get warm ones but the waitress never came back. I couldn’t even get ketchup for them. Food mistake plus poor service gets two stars from me. The atmosphere is nice in there and they have a large beer selection

I was here twice. They have the best mussels in wine and the price is really ok. I also tried their fries with 3 sauces, burger that is different then any I ever ate — with beef from japan — sweet. I can’t wait to have next guests over so I can make time to go in AC and eat here :)

What a pleasant surprise! We haven’t had a lot of luck eating at casinos, but Revel had a variety of options. Signs for $ 3 Belgian beers and Wittekerche on draft led us down a dark hallway to Mussels. Mussels and Belgian beer? Sounds like Monk’s! Similarities end there. Mussels is better lit, décor a little unusual with beer bottle chandeliers and choppers, but hey, it’s a casino. Open kitchen, TON of beers. We went with the blackened chicken sandwich chicken and waffles for our Saturday brunch. Chicken sandwich was messy but good(personally would have preferred an unbuttered/grilled bun). Fried chicken was very good and the BLiS B Michigan syrup was excellent. So good I would’ve bought a bottle of it. The Moscow Mule was also excellent with a potent ginger beer and a generous amount of vodka. The crispy fries were not as good as Monk’s(but they set the bar really high!) but still good. The major downside was the music or should I say Muzak.

OVERALL: 3(4 for service, 2 for food) SERVICE: Good. Waitress was excellent with descriptions — concise and efficient. The Server was very friendly and kept bringing us warm bread. FOOD: Below average and way too salty. Small portions, thus overpriced. ATMOSPHERE: Hmmm… hard to say since Revel itself was quite sparse on a July Sunday evening… So, I am thinking that maybe his other restaurants might be better? This was my first time to Atlantic City, and we went to the restaurant before walking around the Revel casinos. Had I walked the casinos before the restaurant, I might have not had any expectations for the restaurant(though separately managed). I guess AC was just not my kind of place overall, and the dinner left a bad taste in my mouth for the overall experience. We had the Mediterranean style mussels. Only 17 mussels in the pot. OVERLY salty… Belgian frites were not cooked Belgian style; and, the dipping sauces were horrendous. We ordered the Pork Belly Belgian Pizza, which was probably about 4″ x 9″(less than half of piece of standard-sized Letter paper) and there were maybe about 6 pieces of pork belly. Again, overly salty. My friend had the scallops, which they gave 4 medium size for $ 32. They were much better than the mussels, but also overcooked. I am sure to make everything super salty, so you order more beer. We were all so thirsty the rest of the night and wondering if they also threw in MSG into their sauces.

Nice, casual, mid-priced restaurant option in Revel. The décor is cool-gastropub vibe. My boyfriend and I split the white anchovie Caesar Salad. I expected there to be anchovies in the dressing, but not whole anchovies on the plate! I wasn’t feeling brave enough to munch on them. I also had the white wine mussels with fries. The mussels were amazing. I had to finish every last one. The fries and the accompanying dipping sauces I just didn’t care for. I washed them down with a decent Belgian beer I was recommended. We ended with the skillet brownie. Nothing special about.
