So the next time I am in AC, I am going to need to go out of my way to come here and taste a few items on their menu! Technically I have never been to «The Coffee Shop» which is located in The Atlantic Club Hotel. Heck, I have not even been in the hotel itself, but I recently attended the AC Seafood Festival and sampled/judged their chowder against 17 or 18 others that were in the Best Chowder competition. Though I am not sure who the ultimate winner was, The Coffee Shop’s chowder is certainly tops in my book! They earned 2 of the 3 votes I had because their Chef & Staff were SO incredibly nice and humble, plus equally as great as was the fact that their chowder was SOFANTASTIC!!! Here’s the deal: Creamy chowder with shrimp, scallops, crab, potato and corn. Finished with whipped cream, chive oil and fried onion shavings. Insanely delicious! If their chowder alone was THIS good, I absolutely cannot wait to try some more and potentially give them even more stars than 4!

Cheap breakfast, mediocre service, the food overall was good for the value. I had eggs benedict with perfectly poached eggs and tasty hashbrowns. The coffee is actually quite tasty. My mom’s food wasn’t prepared right, her eggs weren’t the way she asked but she said her pancakes were good. Service was mediocre, frequently filling coffee but took 3 or 4 asks for more cream.

This place is alright, nothing special. I do find the Reuben somewhat good but the calfs liver and onions were pretty decent. It was my first time trying this dish but it wasn’t as bad as the rest of the menu. The service sucks. It always takes like 15 min to get some water and 45 min to get the food right after we ordered it. I don’t get the slow service bc there wasn’t a lot of ppl dining the nights we go.

This is located in the Atlantic Club hotel and it’s such a little gem. I love brunch places and this place had exactly what I was craving when one goes on a vacation, artery clogging food. [healthy choices are available] I got their 2 eggs, bacon, hashbrown with onions, pancake and toast. As a breakfast appetizer we got waffles drenched in whip cream and strawberries.(who eats waffle appetizers? I do.) After the first bite of the hashbrown, I melted a little, I told my friends«this hashbrown tastes like… straight butter» Yes, that subtle taste that butter has, well this was extra buttery flavor. I couldn’t finish it all because I’m not a huge fan but the next morning I was cravinggg it… so of course I went to the Coffee Shop again. I wouldn’t necessarily stay at the Atlantic Club Hotel again [read review] but I would most likely come here again for breakfast.

First off, Unilocal has the address wrong, as this dump is in the Atlantic Club Hotel(the old Hilton). I ate here twice and will never again. The staff are the most unprofessional, unpleasant, generally pathetic bunch of degenerates you will ever see. Place is disgusting. If you want a good breakfast in AC try Maria’s.

What is it with the Trop? They can get nothing right! This place is no exception. The service was way off. We went for breakfast. They brought our meal at different times. They screwed it up as well. They forgot to bring out a fruit salad… and remembered when we had our meals already partially eaten. The food was meh. I should’ve known. No apologies and there must have been 3 different servers bringing our items out. It was like a 3 ring circus! Avoid…

Had beakfast here on a sunday morning. The eggs are fine. If ur from nyc or northern nj, you will think the service is slow and they put too much salt on the homefries.
