Old school joint. No jacket required at this place. Just come with a couple quarters for the mini jukeboxes at the table. I will just get this out of the way now. Best Pizza Ever. Now to elaborate, I go back and forth between Tony“s Special pie(canned mushrooms and homemade sausage) and the Nino’s favorite(cherry peppers and sausage) Both are outstanding. Not a huge pie, but it gets the job done. Also have dabbled with the spaghetti and meat sauce. Is it a true bolognese from Patsy’s? Not really. Is it a delicious treat after a night at the casinos? Yup! Wash any of these items down with a 3.50 ice cold domestic beverage and you my fellow Unilocalers are Living!

Made a nostalgic visit to Tony’s Baltimore Grill. Good pizza, spaghetti and meatballs fair but would not eat again, and horrible service. Server pretty much ignored us until it was time for the check. Even somewhat rude. Might be another 20 years until we return.

Awful from the start. I would not recommend to an enemy. We ordered the Baltimore special the crab cake was half cooked, 3 fried shrimp, 2 fried scallops for 20 dollars. The value to taste was a 0. We also ordered the spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs had the consistency of dog food. Mush it was explained the meatballs sit in water. The salad was a no… received a rotten tomatoe a horribly wilted cucumber.

I don’t get it… My wife raves about it. The services is slow, the pizza is ehhh. The only reason it gets 3 stars is because my wife likes it.

How have i been to going to AC all my life and I’ve never been here? Got the seafood combo with a side of spagetti. They have the best spagetti sauce I’ve had in a while. Their bread is very fresh and hearty. The place looks like it’s out of The Godfather. I love the old school style booths and bathrooms. Very decently priced for AC.

I had been to Tony’s Baltimore Grill over 10 years ago, and was unimpressed. Went back last night, and had my opinion reinforced. Not that it’s bad. It just doesn’t deserve the hype it gets. GF had spaghetti and meatballs. The meatballs were a very soft, mushy texture. They tasted OK, but the texture was off-putting. There’s a thing in the food business called«mouth feel.» That was the bad part here. They’re unlike any meatballs I ever ate. Edible, but not memorable. If you want a good meatball, go to Villa De Roma on 9th street in Philly. I had pizza. You can get white or red, so I chose half and half– half red/half white. Very tasty pie, but the white side lacked flavor. There should have been some nice fresh chopped garlic to flavor it up. The crust is nice and crispy but not too thin. It’s a perfect thickness and texture. Overall, there are better places to eat in the area.

Pizza, fries, and draft beer. Consistent and basic and that’s what makes this place such a great spot

Went here for lunch today… haven’t been there for years… boy has the place gone down hill… or should I say barely changed in thirty years… dirty dingy and food not so good. Ordered a meatball pizza it was ok. Ricotta cheesecake… not so great… service was good. Probably will not return for a while. So bummed.

One star only because the waitress was a sweet old lady. But it was slow Service from the kitchen and the restaurant was very empty through out our stay there. Also, the price of the pizza was way over priced. 10 – 12 bucks for a personal pizza that taste like shit you buy from the grocery store. Be cautious diners. Not good at all. Very disappointed. Reviews on google were false.

Service was fair, had to wait a little before the staff realized we were there. Other then the initial wait rest of service was fine, nothing special. The décor is… Well we were not there for the décor lets just say. We ordered a pizza with sausage, pepperoni and bacon. It had to be one of my too favorite pizzas ever. The crust has a nice crisp crunch and overall it was just a flavorful pizza pie! Will come back next time I’m in the area.

After reading some of these reviews, specifially ones from locals and frequent fliers givning 1 star I really hope this place takes note and changes back to what made them awesome, and a TRUE Atlantic City staple. I lived there for 3 years(2009 – 2012) and this place is truely a long time establishment, with a long history. Whether youre dumping out of a casino wasted, or just looking for good italian food id reccommend this place. I hope whatever is to blame for the 1 star reviews gets fixed fast, I would hate to see it go away.

A fun old-school place to go, it’s your basic pizza spaghetti comfort food. Good old school Italian bread, on thin paper plates, with individual slabs of butter. How retro. That was really fun. They haven’t change the exterior since 1970. Jukeboxes in the booths and great waitresses., I give it a five for vintage atmosphere, a five for waitresses, three for food. It was fun revisiting but I don’t think I’ll go back.

So we noticed this place on our way to Café 2825 one evening and made a note to look it up since it boasted the best pizza in AC. After reading a few reviews that gave props to their pizza, and seeing that Antony Bourdain had visited… we decided to try it out on Thursday 7÷2÷2015. We first called to see if we could get delivery to Caesar’s, since we were going to pair it with some wine in our room, but they had a 2 hour delivery wait(at 7:30pm) due to the fact that they only have one driver(it’s a new service for them)…so we threw the shoes on and took the short walk over… and I’m so glad we did! Upon walking in, we were greeted with an very ‘at home’ vibe… huge bar… seat yourself… locals sitting in the same seats they probably always do… and grabbed a booth. I’m willing to bet this place has not changed a lick in at least 25 years… which made it perfect and a refreshing change from the Boardwalk restaurants. We had a super nice waitress who was exactly what you’d expect from a local joint… gets you what you need when you need it, nothing more, nothing less. We ordered a cheese pie(they only have one size… a 12″ which was perfect for the 2 of us) along with a glass of wine and a jack and coke. The alcohol was cheap with a heavy pour… and the pizza was delicious! Now I haven’t had any slices from the Boardwalk, but I’d find it hard pressed to beat what Tony’s was serving. The crust was thin and crispy and the sauce was super flavorful and well proportioned. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there… watching a bit of the Phillies(even though I’m not a fan, it was cool to see the local flavor), hearing some old school punk played on the jukebox(yes a real jukebox, and they even have mini ones at every booth), and munching our pizza off of paper plates. It was a perfect getaway from the Boardwalk… a hole in the wall throwback to how truly great Atlantic City can be. 3 Jack and Cokes, 2 glasses of wine and a cheese pizza later… we signed our $ 45 bill and left knowing that Tony’s has now become a staple of our yearly Atlantic City excursion. Oh and I almost forgot to add… the bar here is open until 3am and the kitchen is open until 1am every night… so this is a great spot thru the week when the casino joints shut down at 10pm.

I hate to have to write this update. I love the pizza so much but you can only look past awful service for so long. There are a few really good servers there, but there are a few that are just horrible and rude. One server tried to argue with my family a few weeks ago about what belongs in the antipasto and how much bread we get. Who does that? We’d gladly pay for extra bread or accept what’s in a platter(although in varied for the 2 orders on our table) but don’t be snarky when people ask questions. She realized this rubbed us the wrong way then tried to make it up to us by offering to take a family photo while we were eating. Too late, sister. Bad timing too. Last night just drove the nail into the coffin. We were given hard, old, re-heated bread. It took 15 minutes to get this and then our pizza was dropped off momentarily after the bread. The pizza was totally undercooked and when my husband went up to ask for it to be fully cooked, we got attitude. She insisted to the kitchen to make it extra crispy. We just wanted it regular but she wouldn’t accept this. When it was ready she practically threw it at the table and asked«is this to your liking?» How rude? We didn’t even get to try it. She had more issues with us and had the manager ask us to leave. Seriously? He wouldn’t even listen to our side of it. One extra star for the pizza(usually) being amazing and the nostalgia of three generations of family memories. My family will still go there, as will I, and I can only hope we aren’t treated like trash and can enjoy my favorite pizza in the world.

I must confess I haven’t been to the Baltimore Grill in years. Then Anthony Bourdain on his Parts Unknown show highlighted his home state of New Jersey. In that episode he visited Tony’s Baltimore Grill and the memories came back. I remember the pizza being very good and since it was our usual Pizza night we decided to go to AC. When I walked in it’s as if nothing had changed. I’ve got a lot more grey and put on a few pounds, but it looked completely the same and brought back fond memories of Atlantic City before the casinos. The bar and restaurant are purely blue collar filled mainly with locals coming in after work or bringing the family out for a good italian meal. I looked around during dinner and noticed the same red panel walls that were there years ago. Is it a fancy place? By no means but the service staff makes you feel quite at home and in the end you can leave the fancy to the casinos. The pizza is just as good as I remembered. Thin crust with just the right amount of toppings and very crispy on the edges. My wife also got a side of meatballs which she enjoyed. We got a half mushroom and half anchovy which was excellent. We then decided to get another to take home for later. Half Jalapeño and half meatball. My wife loved the way the meatballs were cut and the Jalapeños gave it a nice kick. The service is pure down home hospitality. Very friendly and will do anything to make your experience a good one. The price was great especially for both food and beer. I’m not sure how others have complained about the price, 4 beers, 2 pizzas, side of meatballs for under $ 60. Can’t beat that. I will definitely not wait as I did before to go back.

Pizza is good. Service: 0 stars based on the bartenders service. Bartender is impulsive. I was given a flat beer draft… I notified him and I told him I’d take a peroni instead. He was about to take my money off the counter to pay for the Peroni. I said, did you hear what I said? I repeated, the beer was flat and he slammed the money back on the counter and yelled alright this ones on me as if I was doing him a favor. You interpret this as you wish. I’ve been coming to tonys on and off for 13 years. Bartender if you read this please know that people that come to an establishment to relax do not want to be treated that way.
